Ich war fünf Tage lang in Karlsruhe und mein Aufenthalt im Quadro City Hotel war sehr angenehm. Das Zimmer war sauber und verfügte über alle Annehmlichkeiten, die mir einen angenehmen Aufenthalt ermöglichten. Es gab einen kleinen Kühlschrank im Zimmer, aber keine Kaffeemaschine, was ich mir gewünscht hätte. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer sehr guten Lage mit guter Anbindung an das Zentrum von Karlsruhe, den Hauptbahnhof, öffentliche Verkehrsmittel und alles andere, was die Stadt zu bieten hat.

Extra high payment for parking at the hotel without given information in advance (24 Euros per night - what?) never expirienced that before. Really unfriendly stuff in the reception (never expirienced that in Norway, Switzerland or Germany or world). That girl was never educated in that kind of job. Cheap solutions in the hotel in room (toilette paper and breakfast).

Is this a hotel that is driven by arabic family? Didn`t try the internet, didn`t trust the hotel. In the morning new question: Did you pay for breakfest? Never again.

Wir mussten bis nach 16:39Uhr wsrten bis das Zimmer gereinigt war obwohl der Chevkin am 15:00 Uhr möglich sein sollte. Ausser uns warteten noch mehrere Göste auf ihr Zimmer.
Auf der Etage war dann auch immerhin eine Putzkraft beschäftigt - bei einer starken Nachfrage wie an diesem Tag (AC/DC Konzert) müssen dann einfach zusätzliche Putzkräfte organisiert werden.
Die Nachfrage war ja bekannt.

Should have had more to offer than pizza!

Warning. They say they have air conditioning but they don’t. We stayed here on a hot summer day and became painfully aware of this. They apparently have a “central ventilation system for air circulation” which in my opinion does not cut it when it’s 32c/90f outside.

The only reason I am NOT giving this hotel 5 stars is because our room was never cleaned during the six days we stayed. We asked at the front desk and both times we returned to a room that had not been cleaned. Primarily we just wanted the garbage emptied and some new towels. No explanation, it just wasn't done. Other than that, I was happy with the hotel, the room and it's location.

The hotel is conveniently located and very comfortable room! The staff was very friendly and informative with 24 hr front desk service. The only things that were a little turn down was the noise of the street train and the parking was pricey 24 euros per night. In all, it was a great option for us staying just 1 night.

The stay was really nice and they are available for late check-in which is something to consider when traveling in Europe. The room was clean and has good air conditioning. The view from the room is not bad, depending on where your room is. I booked twice and got two different views - street side and back neighborhood side - both of which were decent. The restaurant downstairs has a good food selection for dinner. There is a nice grocery across the hotel for any quick snacks craving. Overall, locationwise it is a very good place to stay in Karlsruhe.

Positives: Personal zuvorkommend, rührig, freundlich, hilfsbereit ,Danke!!!
NEGATIV: Das Haus ist nur oberflächlich im guten Zustand....Vermutlich veraltete Leitungen, die für überaschende Duscherlebnisse sorgt und es musste sehr lang das warme Wasser laufen, bis es als solches bezeichnet werden konnte. Die Technik sorgte bei schwülen Temperaturen leider nur für Umwälzung aber nicht für Abkühlung des Zimmers. Sehr denkwürdige Fahrstuhlgeräusche des einen, ließen immer hoffen mit dem anderen fahren zu können.
Als Wiedergutmachung erhielten wir ein Frühstück. Auswahl ok, Kaffee leider nur lauwarm. Der Preis ist dafür viel zu hoch. Da hilft das rührige Personal leider auch nicht weiter. Es kann weder Personalmangel, noch veraltete Technik ausgleichen....

There was no fridge in the room, personnel it had broken and was nit yet replaced. Bathroom was quite worn, but I understood som renovations were underway.
Otherwise nice and clean, friendly personnel, good breakfast and all at a reasonable pricelevel.

Excellent location; good access to public transport to almost all parts of the city. Friendly staff, ready to assist you 24 /7.
The room they allocated to me, the carpet wS completely wet and smells humidity. I went to reception and they changed the room but with to single beds and it was uncomfortable for us to sleep as a couple.
I should have been advised the hotel iis been refurbished

I was not aware that you have to pay for parking when booking a room at the hotel and the cost for parking was very high relative to the room rate I had booked. Also, I was not told in advance that I have to request room service the next day of stay - but they got me fixed eventually. Finally, they could not check me in on arrival, which was half an hour past noon and I ended up driving around until after 3 pm to be able to get access to my room.

Room upgrade on arrival but the upgrade room was pleasant but very basic so wonder how basic our original booked room would have been? Staff were polite & helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of foods on offer. Parking was expensive €24 for one night but it was convenient having access to car without leaving building.

Great experience. Arrived and was greeted warmly at front desk. Train stop just around the corner and a lovely supermarket on the corner for snacks or anything else you might need. A short walk to hop on the double decker bus for the hop on hop off city tour. Bar staff was super helpful and friendly. Nicole took great care of us and Michael went to the desk to get us a train map and schedule Get the breakfast option! It was amazing! I would highly recommend this hotel.

I usually stay at the Novotel in Karlsruhe but I am glad I didn't this time. The Achat offered a similar location in terms of convenience to restaurants and shopping yet was about half the price. There was plenty of street parking available which saved me some money over parking in the garage. I would totally stay here again when visiting Karlsruhe.

Great value for money, nice location.

Great value for price paid. Location is near city center, e-scooters always available around the hotel, tram station right in front. This hotel used to be under Marriott's Renaissance brand. First stay after rebranding to Achat Hotel, nothing much has changed.
Aircon working well, check-in was fast. I have just booked again. Probably best value for money the city right now.

A hot summer week in Karlsruhe

The Achat Plaza Karlsruhe is located centrally and is in easy access of many places including KIT and the Palace. The supermarket across the street along with the pharmacy makes it an ideal location. Likewise, the tram station is right outside. The lobby is spacious and the lobby bar is comfortable. One noteworthy comment is that the staff that works at the reception is simply outstanding -- they are efficient, polite and do everything they can withing their power to make the customer feel comfortable. The room I stayed in was clean and adequately spacious. The two shortcomings were that the staff that cleaned the room on a daily basis was a variable. Some days the room was cleaned well and the other days, it was very superficial. The other was that the air-conditioner in the room was not controllable, was minimal, and for two or three extremely hot days in Karlsruhe, the air-conditioner failed, making it impossible to stay in the room. Nevertheless, when I went to the front desk and asked if they could help, the gentlemen there went and found a pedestral fan (ventilator) for me, and that was very helpful. The Wi-Fi in the room was OK but not great;the lobby had better signal. They also have a restaurant but I did not eat breakfast there - it was a bit too expensive for my liking. Also there is a lot of construction going on adjacent to the property but the room itself is quiet unless you open the window, but nights are quiet. All in all, I would stay there again.

The hotel is very clean. Inside, looks and feels renewed. Room and bathroom size not bad. Very well lit. Well-located in downtown Karlsruhe. Staff very professional and helpful. Relatively quiet area. For what you get, the price is more than right! Unfortunately, tram line and even buses do not seem to pass close although one can walk to most places. Also, one thing I really would have liked is facilities to make coffee/tea in the room! But, on my next visit to Karlsruhe, this is definitely where I will stay.

This is a good hotel near the centre of Karlsruhe, however one of the two lifts is not working creating a jam at busy times. I was in the same hotel 5 months ago and the lift was out of action then. For customer convenience this needs to be fixed

This is a beautiful hotel with a great location. The staff is super friendly. The hotel is located directly across from a tram stop and a supermarket. The Karlsruhe Palace (museum) and downtown market/shopping area is only a 1 km (0.6 mile) walk from the hotel if you do not want to use the tram. Breakfast was very good, and there is an underground parking garage at the hotel.

Convenient for visiting KIT

This is a nice hotel located close enough to the centre of town and also with easy access (on foot) to the Karlsruhe institute of technology. The breakfast was nice with plenty of options at the buffet. The rooms were comfortable with good options for UK TV (several BBC and ITV channels). The only problem I had (not the fault of the hotel) is with the local tram system which seems to be in a state of constant construction and the line I took from the station that used to go past this hotel goes on a completely different route. Be sure to check carefully if using public transport as there are many years of disruption ahead. I did not get to see much of the town but it seemed pleasant enough and worthy of exploring during a future visit.

In fact all the staffmembers we met during our stay were very professional and warm ... all smiles :) (There is some construction work being done in front of the hotel)

Very nice hotel with pleasant and helpful staff, breakfast was of a very good standard. The only negatives are the parking charge of 17 euros and no wi fi in the hotel. I am currently staying in a remote hotel in Slovenia and yet I have wifi in my room. All this aside I would stay at this hotel again.

Karlsruhe best choice for economy travellers

The staff all spoke english very well and were very helpful. The hotel was basic but very clean. Location to central village was approx 10 minute walk, station was 20 minute walk. Tram stop outside hotel with supermarket across the road. I would stay again, thanks,

Quality Rennaisssance Hotel

Very good hotel, my only gripes are small - for example being given a twin room rather than the room reserved which was a queen deluxe room. However this was quickly changed at reception. Similar quality experience to other rennaissance hotels, if I had to stretch for a criticism, there is no free tea/coffee - it must be ordered from room service which I found a little stingy.

We were tranferred to another room. This was one smaller, but the a/c worked...no adjustment was offered or made to us.
