This is my 3rd stay there in 3.5 weeks I already posted 2x on my other stays how unhappy I was. Unfortunately I prepaid from USA already and didn't had extra time to find a better place in somewhat same price range. I guess you get what you paid for :-( However Breakfast is plentiful and awesome. There is NO AC in the Hotel and NO standing FAN in Single but double room was available. They defiantly need to CLEAN the rooms better, regarding small stuff like remote, floor, shower curtain. It looks clean when you enter then you find things wrong. TV was a joke and had limited channels. I am German and I had hard time watching anything. Visiting from USA I can only imagine. Good thing you only sleep there and take a shower.

This was my second week after 1 week break between to stay and I prebooked it from USA to visit Family here. I as given the same single room then before and still was NOT happy. Same problems different room :-( Do NOT stay in a SINGLE room, if you can pay the 10-20 extra and get a bigger room with more towels and a Fan or you regret it during the summertime.

The staff was awesome and the location very convenient. The graphiti on the exterior building walls in the neighbourhood was a little unsettling however, the neighbourhood was very safe to walk in day or night. The the opportunity to walk to the Karlsruhe Zoo as it is well worth it.

Mir hat die Unterkunft sehr gefallen, vor allem weil es eine kleine Küche gibt mit allem Notwendigen (Kühlschrank, Kochfelder, Besteck etc). Die Lage ist sehr zentral und ruhig. Das Zimmer war super sauber. Vielen Dank dafür! Ich würde es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Quite hard to find the parking that is for separate nightly cost, the property itself was spacious for 4 of us, small kitchen and bathroom. No mosquito net so not had the best night having them around as window/doors needed to be open as it was hot inside/outside.

Taken in by the word appartment. It is NOT an appartment it's a hotel room with a hob. No sitting area just a small room a table and a bed. Room a little tired and needs a makeover. Location was ok but not a lot of options for evening meals around so be prepared for a walk

Good value and convenient location

The location was quite convenient with many tram/S-bahn stops nearby and the room was spacious for one person. Also it was nice to have a kitchenette and a large desk although it would've been even nicer to have a little table to use for eating food. It is not the newest building but inside is maintained well enough.

kind of strange place, reception was 150 meters and one turn away from property, the receptionist given me correct, but many instructions to access with the car to the garage and I managed it at first attempt, but a map with instructions would have been necessary for the most ... the mini apartment itself has a pretty good value, perfectly clean, an old buliding but inside almost completely recently renovated, I'll be back

Very good option but be prepared for a short walk

Acora hotel is a very good option for travelers on a budget looking to stay in a central, convenient location in Karlsruhe. Almost everything is excellent--the rooms are spacious, clean, and well-appointed, the internet is strong, and the breakfast is quite tasty. The only drawback is that the hotel rooms are in several buildings in the area nearby, some of which require a 3-5 minute walk from the reception (which can be a pain in bad weather). But overall, an excellent option.

Nice find near a project I was working on. There is parking but you have to pay 7 euros a night. I did not try the breakfast but there is market nearby where I got my coffee and juice. Clean room and comfy bed. Wifi was good too.

We always stay here when we're in Karlsruhe. It's not luxurious, but has everything you need. The whole apartment is kept very clean and generally well maintained. It's in a fairly quiet area, but close to good transport links, bars and places to eat. There's a supermarket a few minutes walk away, and it takes 10 to 15 minutes to walk into the centre.

Very good run-of-the-mill type Hotel. Centrally located, nice restaurant / bar across the road. The hotel was clean, bedding all in order so a recommendable, 3-star hotel stay. Reception & staff very friendly, breakfast a reasonably good selection available.

A very nice hotel with a good price. The rooms are perfect clean, the stuff is friendy.
U could walk very easy into the middle of the city! It only lasted 12 minutes.
The rooms are big and the little kitchen got everything u need. From your balcony u look into the green. It was also very quiet. We have been there different times and we were always content!

We arrived late...after a grueling flight...

The gentleman at the desk informed us our rooms were around the corner, dark, tried many doors and finally found the entrance mid block. Wondering if the rooms are better in the actual hotel and what this annex is a half a block away. Our maid was helpful, kept the very modest room clean. It was very warm and humid and the hotel in our annex, has no air conditioning and only a door and window for ventilation. All said, we most likely got what we paid for, but wouldn't stay there again. Also, not paying a lot of attention when I booked the room, it was a nonrefundable reservation, made way in advance and no way of cancelling or changing. I probably won't book with Expedia again because of this and while we will return to this area at least once a year, won't stay at this hotel again.

Great hotel with great transport links.

Great hotel very well located at the centre of the tram network only 5 minutes away. You can go to any part of the city from the closest stop without having to change. My small apartment was a bit dated but very clean. The breakfast was very good with beacon, sausages and scramble eggs, plus other continental stuff. Pretty good for the money.

Overall this was a nice apartment hotel at a good price for the room. The hotel staff were friendly overall, although the woman at the desk at check out was a bit unpleasant. Breakfast is good, although you will find much better for your 12 euro, and I would only recommend paying extra for it if you require convenience. The room (maisonette) was pleasant and well equipped, but smelled strongly of curry. It was otherwise clean and comfortable.

German Scandinavia modest modernism

lovely clean and well run place with minimal German 50s modern style updated well with wifi and flat screen TV. While neighbourhood immediately around it is dull it is close to what Karlsruhe has to offer. Suited me and my 11 year old well with split level accommodation on the top floor. Well priced and proper German breakfast buffet with everything but herring.

North Americans would likely find the room we had cramped but everything including the kitchenette is adequately stocked (dishes, utensils, pots for 2 people). Layout is efficient. Hotel is close to (less than 100 meters) from a major supermarket so it is very convenient for making a small breakfast, having your morning coffee etc. We enjoyed our time there enjoyed the central palace and grounds with its interesting presentation of the city's history from Roman times to the present. Attended a Mozart opera at the state theater which was top notch.

The hotel was good and clean which I was really happy about and I felt comfortable there. The only thing I didn't really like were the receptionists (blond lady and a grey long haired lady). Upon checking in the blond receptionist accused me of not having have mentioned that I was coming with my baby, which I did whilst booking (my baby coming was not a last minute surprise) then when she went to photocopy my passport, she thought it was okay to gossip about me to her colleague (grey haired woman). They were also rude to my friend who only asked them if I had arrived already. I would strongly recommend that hotel management puts in a bit more effort in employing some friendlier staff on reception especially as they are the first point of contact. I was also put in a room with steep stairs up to the bedroom which wasn't great having to carry my baby up to bed. After a few times going up and down I got used to it though and it wasn't so bad but the fear of falling with him remained.

Very clean and well maintained hotel within easy walking distance to the main shopping downtown. We were in a \"Maisonette\". A room with the bedroom on an upstairs level. The staircase to the sleeping area is very steep. Ok for most able bodied people but could be a challenge for anyone with a walking disability or any other mobility issues. Overall, a very good hotel.

Very unique room with a loft

I didn't remember booking a room with a loft, but that's what we got. Very nice clean room with a living room, bath room and kitchen area on the bottom. But the bed was above in a loft with a sky light and there was a steep wooden stair (almost a ladder) to get to it. So we left suitcases downstairs and only went up when ready for bed. Friendly staff at the desk and parking in an underground garage in the back of the hotel. Interesting one night stay. Won't want to have every hotel room on our trip like this though.

Room was clean and warm. Breakfast was good.
Problems were a matter of layout. Check in at the front, drive two hundred meters around the corner to the carpark. After a rabbit warren of doors found my room up above the carpark.
Walk 250 meters back around the corner to another door for breakfast. (Clean, friendly and good food).
Walk 250 meters to get bag from room, take car out of garage and drive back to Lobby (yet another door) to check out.

Nice neighborhood and not far from the city centre, as you have a kitchenette it is also handy that a REWE supermarket is across the road. Stayed here for 5 nights during a conference and am extremely happy with the stay, good money for value. Only downside is that it is a bit further from tram line making it hard to reach the train station.

Breakfast was excelent. Good cofee, quark, many types of bread, smoked ham, boiled eggs.
The room was small but clean and comfortable. It has a kitchenette where you can cook, also a small refrigerator. Sometimes it would smell like indian food in the hall. The location is very good, you can walk to the center of the city and to the palace museum.

A big drawback especially for business people is that there is no free internet and it is excesively expensive.

A nice apartment-hotel in Karlsruhe

Very clean, very simple, very basic and quite small - but everything you need and lovely comfortable beds. There is a supermarket a few minutes away open from 7am to 10pm, and plenty of places to eat and drink nearby.It's 10 minutes walk to the centre of town, a 10 minute taxi ride to the train station, and there are tram stops nearby. Some of the rooms have a separate sleeping area up a flight of stairs. This is great idea if you can manage the stairs - but just be aware when you are choosing your room that they are very steep split stairs, and you have to be extremely careful - it could be a problem for someone with mobilty problems.

Excellent place to stay. Clean rooms, quiet neighborhood, daily housekeeping services, high speed internet (additional fee charged), plus a small kitchen so not all meals need to be in restaurants. A grocery store is nearby. It is a ten minute walk to the main shopping areas. Whenever we're in Karlsruhe, we stay at the Acora.

Practical accommodation in Karlsruhe

We chose an apartment for flexibility during our stay in Karlsruhe. The apartment was adequate, clean and in a good location. My only negative comment was that the stairs to the bedroom were so steep that I had a panic attack going to the loo in the night.

High cost to access the internet.

The only thing I can complain about is the internet connection. Maybe €12 for 12h is \"best practice\" in germany. But most of the hotels I've been staying at the last couple of years charge nothing for the internet.

Apart from that, the hotels is only a 5 mins walk from a tram stop. And the people in the reception has daily tram cards for sale. Taxi from HBF was around €10.

I ended up staying here on a business trip as all other hotels were booked (which in itself says something). The rooms are like student accommodation from the 80s or 90s. The furnishings are stark so noise travels a lot (I was kept up by people opposite simply laughing in their room. Every time a door closes it echoes around the entire building). The TV is a tiny portable. There are no smoke alarms that I could see. The TV stations change (e.g. you can get BBC World in the evening but not the morning). The bedding is thin and quite small and the pillow is flat and needs folding on itself to make it comfortable. The shower is so small that the shower curtain keeps blowing in and sticking to itself and you. The wifi is very slow and hard to use if you need it for work. Other little things like there are no energy saving bulbs so not a very 'green' place to stay either.

Overall this is barely satisfactory as a place of last resort. It's relatively handy for the trams and you can walk to the town centre in about 20 minutes. You'll probably want to get a taxi to/from the station though.

For the quality you'd expect to pay more than youth hostel rates but not this much.

My room was in the annex building around the corner from the reception area. It was large, clean and pleasant. There was a balcony overlooking a green area and parking. The small kitchenette was a bonus. It had a small fridge, microwave and stove along with pots and pans, glasses and plates and utensils. There is a small supermarket nearby (Rewe) so you can buy food and drinks to keep in the room. The bathroom had a shower and hairdryer. The room was cleaned daily. The reception staff was helpful. The streetcar stop is easily within walking distance and you could walk to the city center in about 15 minutes. I thought it was a good hotel for this price range and I would stay here again.

AWESOME apartment-hotel!

What a great place to stay in Karlsruhe: a one block walk to most of the city's tram lines (Karlsruhe's trams are clean, frequent and inexpensive), a short stroll to the main shopping street, and super friendly front desk & cleaning staff.

Our room had two floors (bathroom, kitchenette, living room with TV, and balcony on the bottom floor; bedroom with second TV in the loft).

The kitchenette was great to have since there is a supermarket directly across the street from the hotel. Kitchenette had electric kettle, two burners, microwave, larger sized mini fridge, pots, pans, knives, flatware, glassware, mugs & plates for two.

The balcony was secluded from the other units and had two chairs on it with a view of a taqnquil yard (not a noisy street).

My only complaint was that the wifi is not free in the hotel (9 Euros/day!). No problem though: most of the nearby cafes have free wifi.

Will definitely stay here again when in that part of Germany!

The kind of place where you are worried to leave your stuff.

When you get to this place, you have to park in the street and then get inside. There are two doors, one has the index of all the rooms with door bells, the other is the actual reception.

If you want to park your car for the night, you have to get the key to parking lot then find a spot assigned to the hotel.

Going to your room, you have to wander through an unlit corridor and figure out where the keyhole to your room is by shining your cellphone around the door.

The room itself was clean but it looked like a dorm room. I was good for the night but I was happy I didn't have to leave anything there for the day.

We were visiting family in Karlsruhe and seeing the Christmas markets. This hotel was perfect as we could use the nearby supermarket which was open 7.00-22.00 Monday to Saturday, and well provided kitchenette to cater for ourselves. We loved the 'separate' loft bedroom accommodation and there were many little touches, eg the 'library' in reception, the 'welcome' water and sachets of coffee and tea, the good coat hanging area, the balcony and the excellent information pack. The cleverly designed staircase suited us very well but had we been infirm it could have been a problem. We will be back!

Das Zimmer im acora Karlsruhe Zentrum hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im 4. Stock, das auf zwei Ebenen aufgeteilt war. Alles war sauber und angenehm ruhig, sodass wir uns bestens entspannen konnten. Das Bett war außergewöhnlich bequem – wir haben wunderbar geschlafen. Die Raumspartreppe ist zwar recht schmal, aber mit etwas Vorsicht gut nutzbar. Insgesamt hatten wir eine tolle Zeit und würden das Zimmer jederzeit weiterempfehlen. Der Parkplatz kostete 7 EUR pro Nacht, was für die zentrale Lage völlig akzeptabel ist.

Der Lack ist ab. Einfaches in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel. Es ist alles da, das Bett ist gut die Ausstattung OK, aber schon sehr veraltet und teilweise abgenutzt.
Duschvorhang im Bad ist schon fast eine Zumutung.
Alles in allem, ist der Preis für das gebotene völlig in Ordnung und nicht zu toppen.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice as well as the shower.
Too bad we had to pay extra for parking the car in the garage. Also the room was in another building. Walking at 11pm with two kids in a suburb of Karlsruhe didn't feel ok, despite it being only a two minute walk. Personnel was nice, but English could have been better.

Leider hat sich die Umgebung in den letzten Jahren stark verändert. Wenn man Pech hat und ein Zimmer zur Straße bekommt, ist im Sommer bis halb 1, 1 gut vernehmbar Musik, laute Unterhaltung, Rumgekreische zu hören.
Die Zimmer zum Innenhof sind super ruhig. Also hot oder Schrott...

Good place to stay for a night or 2 when travelling, rooms equipped with everything necessary and quite spacious. Parking was a bit of a hassle in the garage and the building itself is a bit dated but that wasn’t a problem at all for our purposes

Wir hatten ein geräumiges, gut ausgestattetes Appartement mit Morgensonne. Das einzige kleine Manko war vielleicht der doch etwas weite Weg zum Frühstücksraum, was besonders bei schlechterem Wetter zum Problem werden könnte.

Yataklar kesinlikle değiştirilmeli. Kanepe olmamalı. Tek kişilik yataklar küçük ve konforsuz. Balkonun olması güzel. Mutfak gayet yeterli. Murfak araç gereçleri de yeterli idi. Kahve makinası olması mükemmel. Kahvaltısı güzel ve yeterli.

Indtjekningen forløb super fint. Receptionisten var særdeles høflig og imødekommende. Hun gav tydelige anvisninger både til parkeringen samt hotellejligheden. Jeg ville dog gerne have vist, at der stod en ventilator i tøjskabet. Den opdagede jeg desværre først om morgenen, efter en meget varm nat. Vores 'naboer' havde et større barn, som skreg panisk i et par timer. Så voldsomt at man blev bekymret for, om noget var helt galt. Vi hentede receptionisten, som desværre ikke kunne få kontakt til dem, men gråden ophørte, efter hun havde været forbi og ringe på hos dem. Desværre kostede det nogle timers søvn.

Varmt, ingen ventilasjon, ikke for familier

Ingen ventilasjon. Var helt fryktelig varmt. Steinharde senger og ganske begredelig frokost. Hadde ikke vanlig kaldt vann en gang. Kun med kullsyre.
