Good budget no frills hotel. Obvious from location and other clients seen this is more of a one night “motel”. Only downsides were out of hands of hotel. Location: on far side of motorway feeder road from “back” of station with no pedestrian crossing, and rooms not soundproof ( Snoring from next room)

Wir sind gg 22Uhr angekommen. Selbst check-in ziemlich lang. Zimmer schmutzig: Staub, Schimmel, Boden wahrscheinlich nur grob gemacht, da eine Flasche Bier hinter der Tür im Zimmer lag!!! Personal nicht da und heute gg 11Uhr waren wir an der Rezeption, kein Personal da, wir haben mehrmals geklingelt!!! Niemand kam!

Convenient location and good family rooms
Arrived in Karlsruhe by train at 23. Had two tired (older) kids with us. Hotel is located more or less across to road from the train station so that was good. Rooms were clean, A/C, fairly new and nobody had any complaints about the beds. The kids slept in a bunk bed. Didn’t hear any noise from others.
The rooms aren’t huge, but I’ve been in smaller ones. Large size was also not a requirement we had as we weren’t spending any significant time there. I’d say the size was just right. We had no problem fitting four large backpacks in there before we hopped on the train for Paris the next day. However four large suitcases needed to be opened at once might be problematic.
Didn’t get to try the breakfast as the kids slept through breakfast time, but could be added on arrival.
When we knew we couldn’t make the open reception time, we called and checked in via phone. Got a code to enter building and our room. Worked very well.
Would stay again!

Günstiges Hotel mit Nachbarschaftsbeschallung
Das Hotel ist super verkehrsgünstig gelegen, genau am Hauptbahnhof. Im Grunde ist vieles zufriedenstellend - nicht mehr, aber auch nicht weniger. Was das Reiseerlebnis ist jedoch empfindlich stört, ist, dass das Hotel sehr hellhörig ist. Egal ob unter mir, neben mir oder im Zimmer den Flur gegenüber: Man hört so ziemlich alles. Besonders ungünstig ist das, wenn kleine Kinder in unmittelbarer Nähe sind... Normalerweise würde so etwas kaum auffallen - aber wenn das Geschrei und Gequengel bereits morgens um 5:30 Uhr schon losgeht, merkt man, welch grossen Einfluss Architektur auf das Wohlfühlerleben in einem Hotel hat.

Pues el que queríamos era el ByB de Karlsruhe aeroport, que está a una distancia de 42 km, ya que teníamos un vuelo a las 6 de la mañana, así que tras mucho diálogo, tuvimos que hacer una nueva reserva para poder dormir y estar de madrugada en el aeropuerto, claro está pagándola, aún siendo los dos hoteles de la misma cadena.
Pues el que queríamos era el ByB de Karlsruhe aeroport, que está a una distancia de 42 km, ya que teníamos un vuelo a las 6 de la mañana, así que tras mucho diálogo, tuvimos que hacer una nueva reserva para poder dormir y estar de madrugada en el aeropuerto, claro está pagándola, aún siendo los dos hoteles de la misma cadena.

Ich bin öfter in B&Bs; wenn ich erst spät irgendwo ankomme, brauche ich nur ein ordentliches Zimmer mit einem guten Bett. Letzteres fand ich auch in Karlsruhe, ersteres nicht. Das Zimmer wirkte abgewohnt, die Wände waren ziemlich schmutzig. Auf den Kacheln im Bad zeichnete sich das Profil meiner Turnschuhe ab - da wurde wohl schon länger nicht mehr ordentlich gewischt.
Dies in Zusammenhang mit dem Umstand, dass der Portier selbst auf Nachfrage mein Impfzertifikat nicht sehen wollte („Nein nein, das glaube ich Ihnen auch so!“), hinterlässt das einen sehr unguten Eindruck.
Würde ich wieder dort buchen? Nein.
Dies in Zusammenhang mit dem Umstand, dass der Portier selbst auf Nachfrage mein Impfzertifikat nicht sehen wollte („Nein nein, das glaube ich Ihnen auch so!“), hinterlässt das einen sehr unguten Eindruck.

On doit fermé les fenêtres du fait qu il y a la gare de marchandise à côté, c est bruyant la nuit.
