A great hotel for a driver :)

Very nice hotel, breakfast has plenty of choices and offers something for everyone. The room are nice and the bed comfortable. I had only 2 issues, the aircon did not work in our room, luckily was not hot, and the check-in stops at 10:30. I was coming from a long drive and I was stunned by it. Got lucky the guy at the desk was running late and helped me out but the entrance barrier did not open and you kinda stuck on the outside car park if you cannot go across the grass with the car. Overall a good stay and i will stop again.

We have stopped there on the way from Austria.
Very modern hotel with very modern rooms and very comfy beds. Very clean as well.
Staff was very welcoming and very friendly.
Very good breakfast with decent selection of hot and cold food.
Although it was only one night we had very pleasant stay.
From now on it will be our stop on the way to or back from Austria.
Highly recommended...

Clean, Comfortable and huge choice for breakfast.

We needed a stop over travelling back to London from Italy.
I was with my parents and my dog. I had no problems with my dog. The room (2 double beds) was clean and comfortable. Big enough for us all to have space to rest after a long days drive and before another long day pf driving. Even had a free bottle of water in the fridge for us.
The breakfast is on the pricey side but it does have a good variety of foods to choose from. So much so, we all got food for our lunch that day as well.
The only criticism is the air condition wasn't great. The room was warm (end of Aug) and it took ages for the AC to make a difference (we had it on 0oC) During the night the AC did provide a cool breeze to stop it getting too hot.

The rooms are not clean. We have stayed for 5 nights and the bedsheets were never changed even though we asked twice. We have complained to the managers and no action was taken. On their directory of service they have listed items that can be provided at reception, when we asked for toothbrushes and toothpastes (which they are supposed to provide at reception) they don’t have it. The receptionist said they will ask for toothbrushes to be provided to us the next day but it was never provided.

We were travelling round 6 countries in 8 days so literally arrived at 10pm and left at 9am. It was a little difficult to work out how to get in the car park (including a scary moment where I forgot I was in Europe and started driving the wrong side of a two lane road! Once in we were met with friendliness by the man on the desk and check in was effortless. The room was clean and tidy with a great shower and it was quiet so we slept well. There was also free wifi which was really easy to log on to. All in all a pleasant stopover.

Can't go wrong with the Star Inn

I use the Star Inn relatively frequently with work purely because of its cleanliness and also its location.
My only complaint for the hotel would be it always seems to be cold, and it doesn't matter what you set the thermostat to!

Hotel was OK..convenient to the major highways. But definitely more of a businesman's hotel as it is not close to anything in the city. Also, of note, it was fall and there was NO HEAT in the room. When I asked initially they stated they would have someone look at it. FOUR DAYS LATER, when I asked again I was informed they don't turn the heat on until \"two more weeks\". Are you kidding me? When I pay for a hotel room I would NEVER expect this. A guesthouse maybe. But not a commercial hotel. I advised that they should mention such so folks are aware when they book reservations. Also, the same applies in the hot months. The air conditioning is only on for certain months regardless of the temperature.
Having said that they somewhat made it right by providing me a space heater.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our / young children. Receptionist was lovely and the room was clean and comfy.
The only thing it was missing was a kettle!
Areas not great, a bit out of the centre but there's a tram stop right outside, we hired a car so not a problem. Loads of parking room.
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as it was expensive.

I was extremely disappointed with my most recent stay at the Star Inn Hotel in Karlsruhe. They have switched to a free wifi service throughout the hotel, but to use it, a cell phone that works outside the US is needed, which I do not have. There was no option they could give me for doing this, even as I offered to pay for internet. On top of that, the wifi reception in the room was as low as possible without being completely nonexistent (which, altogether didn't matter, since I couldn't log on anyway). The air conditioning in the room sounded as if it were running, but the temperature wouldn't drop at any point. I make yearly trips here for work, and from now on I intend to stay elsewhere and commute for work, rather than being able to walk to work and suffer at this hotel one more day.

very clean, reasonable rates. Right next to Seimans office complex so location was in a business park and residential area outside of city limits but with all the construction in downtown Karlsruhe this was perfect. Desk Clerk suggested several nearby restraunts, we went to Brauhouse 2.0, very good. biggest complaint is there is no WIFI which was a big deal for us as we were from the states and had no cell service!

Overall, great experience

Let's face it; if you're staying at the Star Inn, you're most likely either visiting Siemens or another company in the area. Despite this, however, the hotel still provides a great stay. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the breakfast is the best of all hotels in which I've stayed in Germany, and the company you're most likely visiting is a 5 minute walk away. The only downside is that the city center is a 10-15 minute train ride away, but again, you're most likely here for work, and the train is always running.

Generell empfehlenswert mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
Frühstück ist sehr gut.
Das Bad wirkt etwas altbacken und wurde anscheinend nicht so einer umfangreichen Renovierung unterzogen wie das Zimmer selbst.
Bei uns war leider die Seife auf dem Zimmer alle. An der Rezeption gab es auch keinen Zugriff mehr auf Seife zum Nachfüllen und so bekamen wir eine Tasse mit Seife.
War für eine Nacht ok, aber generell sollten die Füllstände natürlich immer geprüft werden.

Das Zimmer war so n einem guten Zustand und das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war lecker, aber jeden Morgen gab’s die gleiche Auswahl. Aber das wäre klagen auf hohem Niveau. Es gibt genügend kostenpflichtige Hotel Parkplätze, aber auch gleich nebenan kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten. Ich würde das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Zimmer war ok. Bett und Matratze sehr bequem.

Man hat leider wassersparende Duschköpfe verbaut. Dadurch muss man so nah an der Wand der Duschkabine stehen, dass man ständig an die Armatur stößt und diese verstellt oder sich blaue Flecken holt.
Die beiden Kaffeemaschinen im Frühstücksbereich sahen leider sehr unappetitlich aus. Milchschaumspritzer, die auch innerhalb einer Stunde nicht beseitigt wurden. Insgesamt würde ich sagen, dass Preis/Leistung gerade noch ok sind. Ich würde aber beim nächsten Mal eher für 20-30€ mehr ein besseres Hotel wählen

Det er placeret 5 km fra Karlsruhe centrum - i midten af et stort industriområde - helt præcist overfor Siemens’ kontor.

Kæmpe parkeringsplads ved hotellet, men ugennemskueligt hvorvidt det var sikkert at holde der, samt hvordan betaling foregik. Hotellet var ikke behjælpelig, men havde eget overvåget parkering for 10 euro/dag. Det kunne passende være inkluderet i overnatningen, hvem skulle ellers holde det?

Vandet i bruseren var koldt - og kunne ikke blive varmt.

Værelset var stort og rummeligt, som passede fint for os; familie på 4. Morgenmaden var ligeledes rigtig god.

Un hotel bonito, tranquilo y seguro. Me gustó mucho la zona, ya que es muy silenciosa y se siente bastante segura. Hay una parada de autobús muy cerca que me dejaba casi enfrente del hotel, lo cual fue muy conveniente.

Eso sí, la tranquilidad se debe en parte a que no hay muchos restaurantes o tiendas en los alrededores. Aun así, me pareció un hotel funcional que ofrece una muy buena experiencia por el precio.

Viajé a esta ciudad para visitar a mi familia, que vive muy cerca del hotel, y mi estancia fue totalmente positiva. No tengo nada negativo que mencionar.

Wir waren als Familie mit Rollstuhl Kind in einem Familienzimmer für 1 Nacht.
Für uns war genügend Platz um mit den Rollstuhl ins Zimmer zu fahren. Das Bad war klein aber für uns ausreichend. Mit dem Rolli kommt man nicht ins Bad aber darauf wurden wir vom Personal schon bei der Buchung hingewiesen. Haben wir auch nicht gebraucht weil mein Sohn einige Schritte mit Hilfe laufen und stehen kann.
Personal war sehr nett.
Das Zimmer war sauber.
Wir können es nur weiter empfehlen.

Das Hotel ist noch ziemlich neu, die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet. Zumindest am Wochenende kann man den nebenan befindlichen kostenlosen Parkplatz problemlos nutzen. Einziges Manko ist das fehlende Restaurant (es gibt TK-Pizza und Flammkuchen in der Bar) und die Lage im Industriegebiet.

Vi havde vores hund med, og han fik den bedste service. Han fik vandskål og godbidder, med på værelset.
Rigtig flink receptionist, han hjalp os med at finde et godt sted at spise.
Der var morgenmad med i prisen og det var en fin buffet. Hvis vi skal holde en pause for natten, kunne vi godt finde på at overnatte der igen.
