Really lovely hotel, right on the water. Couldn’t fault the location a beautiful seafront! Staff for the most part wonderful. On arrival we were given a Pom at the back of the hotel looking out onto a building site. We asked to change room and were given a lovely seafront room.

Last day we had a late flight and asked for a late checkout but were told it would be 20 euros per hour - more than the nightly rate. It seemed a shame we couldn’t keep our room as the hotel was at low occupancy and would have made our last day much easier. We were given the spa to use to shower but this space in my opinion was not a nice space - a bit dirty, dank and smelly with lights not working!

Cleaning staff were lovely and the staff in general were friendly and helpful. The overall feel of the hotel is bright and spacious!

I loved how close but yet not so close the hotel was to the city center and being waterfront was definitely a plus! I do believe with a bit of more upkeep they can do so much more better. The hotel staff at the reception were great and always so quick with helping with everything needed. The pool definitely needs some work.

We loved our stay at Simbad Hotel in Talamanca. The view of Ibiza’s Old Town from the hotel is absolutely stunning. It’s in a great location—right on a scenic boardwalk with easy access to charming restaurants (the Italian spot next door was our favorite). Getting around the island was a breeze, with quick access to Pacha, Old Town, and Ushuaïa. A perfect base for exploring Ibiza.

Very unfortunate, I will never be back. Half the hotel overlooks a construction site. Room was filthy, stain on the duvet, hair in the bathroom, filthy floor. The bed so hard might as well sleep on the floor. There’s a series of ridiculous rules, such as having to ask for simple amenities such as a shower cap (not available in room), having to pay 10 EUR in cash specifically for pool towels etc. it’s not a 4 star guest experience by a long way but the prices definitely are. If you want to charge things on your room, you have to tell reception first - so it feels everything is designed to make your stay more difficult than easier. Check out on their own website says 12pm, I was told on the day it’s 11am. Staff are polite and nice but they don’t have much to work with there so do the best they can.

The hotel was great but the service in the adjoins bar was terrible. 45 mins to get a drink served. Then after requesting a second drink had to walk out and go to the main hotel bar when served in 5 minutes. Despite the hotel being great o really this experience was very disappointing and when explained in checkout was met with just a sorry.

A/C wasn't so great (it was very hot and our room faced west, so we got hit with a lot of sun, but still), the beds/pillows were just ok. They need bigger/fluffier pillows, and the hotel needs a little freshening up, but otherwise, we had a good time

They gave me a bit of an upgrade at check-in which was nice. I got a higher floor with a sea view.

Parking can be very tough around there since you're stuck with street parking and there isn't a lot of it.

The pool was ok but it could've been much better if they had service by the pool or a bar.

The food at the restaurant was awesome! Very fresh and good.

Great hotel but holiday ruined by pool policy

This was my fifth stay in eight years at the usually brilliant Simbad. Everything has always been great. Until now.
It’s no exaggeration to say our holiday was ruined this year and we will think twice about returning. The only issue is the bizarre pool policy that seems to allow countless non-residents to use the facility whenever they wish, despite a sign saying the pool area is exclusively for the use of guests only.
What should be an oasis of calm and restfulness looking out over the beautiful Talamanca bay is now ruined by scores of people who aren’t staying at the hotel using the pool. In a response to another review complaining about this, the hotel director replied seeming to imply there’s nothing they can do about it as the pool is on public land. Maybe something there is lost in translation - I don’t see why someone couldn’t operate an entrance gate to control numbers and noise. I twice saw babies with their nappies being taken off on sun loungers then put into swimming attire without swim nappies, then going straight into the pool. The noise level from children screaming, shouting and repeatedly jumping into the pool is totally unacceptable. The capacity is stated as 40 - yesterday evening I counted 32 non residents, the day before there was 22 children in the pool, like a whole classroom of children all set loose at the same time. I can’t believe this situation isn’t resolvable, but if it’s not then expect your peaceful summer holiday to be ruined by noise.

Hotel exceeded our expectations, lovely and clean, really super friendly helpful staff. Bar and restaurant prices very reasonable. Buffet Sunday lunch really good and excellent value, great for fuelling up for a night partying :) Very easy walk into Ibiza Town. We would stay here again.

I read some bad reviews about this place, and they're not true. This hotel is beautiful, water front property. Staff are very nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet is pretty good, 8/10. Fresh Food and a cook when needed. I felt very safe and slept like a baby. Bed is very firm FYI. Otherwise, a great hotel for the price.

Hotel exceeded expectations. Very clean and modern, staff were all great and did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Pool area is slightly tired compared to the hotel building, however clean and tidy. Good range of food options available in the restaurant and the bar area. Quiet and relaxing residential area with some of the best views across Talamanca, but within east reach of Ibiza Town should you want a bit more life. Offered everything we needed as a base for our stay.

A very lovely stay !!

This hotel is superb. Very very clean. Staff very attentive and helpful. We were very happy with our stay. It is right on the beach. We had a sea view room which is worth spending the extra for. So central. Lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. The food at the hotel looked very good indeed although we had room only we had dinner here one evening which was nice. Breakfast and lunch of a very high standard.
No negatives about this stay. I will definitely be returning. Good value for money.

To be honest I am a bit disappointed about my stay. The spa and gym were closed. The breakfast was ok but the dinner was so-so. Nice outdoor pool. The rooms are badly isolated, you can hear people in the corridors. The bathroom only had soap no other aminities which is disappointing for a 4 stars hotel. Also no coffee or tea kettle in the room. But they allowed me to have a late check out which was nice :)

I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was in a good location, clean, and friendly. Better than I expected.

Nicely located on Talamanca Bay, it is about 15 minute walk to the marina (via the boardwalk around the beach). From the Marina you can walk (about 30 mins) or get a water-taxi into Ibiza Town. (2.6 Euro one way, or 4 Euro return). I recommend the water-taxi.

Within walking distance from Pacha nightclub. (Approx 25 min walk)

The bay seems more a local spot than a tourist spot with a handful of restaurants, a nice boardwalk all around the bay, and a scattering of other hotels.

Hotel is a little dated in the rooms, however bar and reception are nice. The air con was not working well, we were very hot one night and called reception several times to request to look at our aircon unit or if there was a spare fan. Reception adivsed they would be up in 5 minutes. 3 calls later they pretended not to understand and decided never to come to the room and hung up which we found very rude.

I was in Ibiza for a stag party. My mates were staying in a different hotel. This is the perfect for relaxing. The whole area is very quiet and a far cry from the Ibiza you may expect. You can take a lovely walk along the coast to a few bars and restaurants too. Drinks are very very cheap compared to everywhere I went to! Breakfast buffet is also delicious.

In un’ottima zona di Ibiza vicino alla marina di Botafoch con una bellissima vista mare e sulla parte storica di Ibiza. Personale cortese, zone comuni in ottimo stato e efficiente il servizio bar e ristorazione nella terrazza esterna. Essenziale ma comoda la zona piscina con il servizio asciugamani. Unica nota negativa: ho soggiornato in una stanza standard con vista sul retro dell’hotel e nel palazzo davanti vi erano dei rumorosi lavori già dal mattino presto: vista l’entità dei lavori sarebbe stato opportuno avvisare preventivamente in modo da poter effettuare un upgrade sulle bellissime stanze vista mare sull’altro lato del hotel! Da tornarci… Con stanza vista mare!

We stayed at Simbad Hotel for 6 nights. The room was clean, and the staff cleaned it every day, which I appreciated. The view from the hotel is fantastic—you can see the Mediterranean—and the location is great for walking, with a road along the sea. The vibe is perfect.

However, there were some negatives. On the day we stayed in a city-view room, there was a construction project in front of the hotel. Workers were active from 7 AM to 7 PM, which made it impossible to relax or sleep—definitely a disaster.

Breakfast was not bad, but we had the same options for all 6 days. It would be better if they offered at least 3 different options each day.

Ich war nun zum 3. Mal im Hotel Simbad, jedes Mal bin ich vom tollen und sehr aufmerksamen Service begeistert. Die Lage und der Blick sind unschlagbar und das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen. Auch die Tatsache, dass man bis 11 Uhr frühstücken und auf der herrlichen Terrasse den Blick genießen kann, ist wirklich ein zusätzlicher Pluspunkt. Immer wieder gerne ins Hotel Simbad

Hotel renovado, com ótimas condições. Pessoal ativo e super atencioso. Região muito calma e próxima ao centro. Visual lindo, infelizmente a praia em frente, apesar de linda, não é muito convidativa para tomar banho. A piscina é ok. Nosso quarto era de costas pro mar, o que sim foi uma pena, mas foi a tarifa que peguei.
