The staff were a bit.. not very nice and keen (until the last day we met a receptionist who was very promising and booked a cab for us, she was the best staff we had met there).
The room was not clean enough. The holder for the shower head was ridiculously tall, which I couldn’t reach.
The kettle was awful with rust and some sediment inside, which I didn’t dare to use. Couldn't close the toilet door tightly.

It seems everything was with dust and the furniture were too old. I didn’t feel too comfortable at the hotel.

Could easily hear people talking next door. No privacy between balconies.

Also there was EDM playing around the pool since 10 or 11am.

The most insufferable thing was we had booked a triple room but there were only 2 blankets inside the closet... however the phone was out of order (not completely), we had to call like 50 times until we could press the button to reach the reception to ask for the missing blanket which never arrived. But we failed to call using that damn phone again so my friend had to walk down to the reception in the midnight to ask…
Nice thing was, they had iron and ironing board in the room which I really appreciated. But it felt dirty so I didn’t use it. There was also a little kitchen and utensils for you to cook. A bit surprised though.
Very close to the coastline and beach where many restaurants nearby. A supermarket is next to the hotel as well.

Probably wouldn’t stay again, unless rooms redone

Overall I probably wouldn’t stay here again. The bathrooms were visibly mouldy which could be smelt through the entire room. Tried to open balcony door to air room but due to heat needed to close it.
Also had staff enter room in the mornings before specified “cleaning time”, as well as on the morning we were due to check out. I was in the shower, my husband still in bed.
Vibe around pool was fun and good area to stay in (a little quieter then the main part of Ibiza)

My stay was very nice - I've stayed at other apartments in the hotel group over the last few years so knew what to expect. Overall the staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool was excellent, the breakfast was also great with lots of choice.
I really enjoyed myn stay and will definitely recommend these apartments to friends and will stay again.

Positives to the hotel are location, breakfast offered and cost.
We knew we wouldn’t get much for the price, however at the very thought we would get comfortable pillows. Both pillows in our room were of terrible quality and when we asked for them to change it, the receptionist told us it wasn’t possible - very disappointing. That along with a very old and noisy air conditioner meant it was terrible to sleep and would advise to look elsewhere.

Location was nice, right by a nice view of a beach, and various restaurants nearby although I ideally would have wanted to stay in Platja d’en Bossa. I actually stayed in panoramic hotel which is serviced by same staff who were all very accommodating. A+ service. The breakfast was nice although I didn’t eat much of it. There was an issue with the AC, but they did eventuality resolve it. The bathroom tub was appeared to have a little rust but overall my stay there was very enjoyable especially due to the niceness and friendliness of staff. My room had a kitchen and microwave although I didn’t cook and there was a grocery store very close by.

The bed was ok. Had a children’s protective pee cover which was uncomfortable and keep coming off the bed. The phone is the room didn’t work, the balcony was very small, corner room with no privacy. The location was fantastic with a great pool, quiet spot without too many other hotels around.

3rd bed was a fold up bed and very uncomfortable. For the price paid I'd have expected 3 single beds as described. Pool and pool area very nice. Great there's no kids. Good selection for breakfast but cooked food gone cold. Reception staff very friendly and location is great for beach area.

Great view of the sea if you are lucky enough to get a sea view room also a lot of rooms also over look the pool. The pool was open to use but there was no one in it as it wasn't hot enough but nice to have the option. The hotel has the usual pool table to enjoy a game if you wish. The WiFi is terrible as it would never connect the whole time there... Didn't want to sit on the internet all day but would have been nice to be connected to the outside world for peace of mind as my mobile service was also non existent.

The hotel reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The hotel is in a good location, only a short walk from numerous restaurants and easy to walk into Ibiza Old Town. The only criticism of the hotel is that the music played by the pool in the afternoon was excessively loud some days so it was noisy in the room even with the doors closed. Not good for an afternoon nap!

You get what you pay for... great view from our balcony (we were lucky to get top floor), clean but beds/pillow were really uncomfortable. Really noisy, could hear the lift going up and down and noise from everywhere (you’re in Ibiza so expect people coming in at all hours, that’s fine). There was an odd smell coming from the sink at the kitchenette.

Don’t believe the reviews that the people on reception can’t speak English, they speak perfect English. And even if they didn’t so what, you’re not in England! But anyway, Antonia (I think that was her name) was great, and whenever we wanted a taxi it was there within minutes.

It’s budget so if you don’t wanna pay for luxuries then this place is fine, just don’t expect much sleep ;)

Cancelled my booking with my knowledge

Unfortunately I'm not in a position to give this hotel a review because when I arrived at the hotel late on July 1st I was initially told that there was no record of my booking.
I made my reservation no more that 36 hours earlier via Expedia. Card details were entered and the booking was confirmed in a subsequent email from Expedia. At no point over the next 36 hours was I contacted to say there was a problem processing the payment. Indeed if the card had insufficient funds or had I submitted a wrong digit Expedia would not have allowed the booking process to proceed. Upon arrival at the hotel and after discovering there was no booking we asked if we could be allocated a room there and then only to be told the hotel was full. Which leads me to believe that the hotel took my booking, only to later discover there was no availability so they cancelled...without bothering to tell Expedia or me that I was my room for 4 nights didn't exist.
Very annoying to say the least.
It was 3am when we finally got to bed at another hotel not too far away...then transferred to a 3rd hotel the next morning. All arranged without the help of Expedia I might add who only got in touch again on the 3rd day of our trip......very poor !!

The location was good and reception staff friendly. However the air conditioning didn't work on the last night , mould on the bathroom ceiling, rooms very basic, swimming pool water was horrible. No one seemed to be using it. The supposed hot buffet breakfast was stone cold and I couldn't eat it so ended up with the continental food which was okay. Overall very dissapointing really considering we paid €130 a night for a room. I have stayed in youth hostels that have been better.

The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the old town and 5 minutes walk from Figueretas beach. Our studio room was huge and well-equipped. The pool was a good size and never crowded. Buses to the airport and other parts of the island are a couple of streets away. We would definitely stay there again.

Decent last minute hotel

You get what you pay for. The beds were lackluster, but got the job done. The towels always felt stiff and not properly cleaned. The AC unit in the room was amazing though! It would get to the right tempature for the moment and it was very responsive to the changes I inputted. Hotel staff were very friendly.

The staff are very helpful and the hotel is located really close to the beach and some really good restaurants. It is a basic apartment but was very clean and tidy with most items you may need.
As two girls travelling on our own, the issue for us was security. After three very peaceful evenings, the following four were not so good. We had people hammering on our doors in the middle of the night and aggressively trying the handles and people banging door and running up and down the corridors. An injured man did this one night and we had to clean his blood off our door and the corridor walls ourselves. There was nothing to stop anyone from walking right into our building off the street which we found concerning.

Got offered an upgrade at a great price but the room smelt of smoke so we stayed in our original room which had a better sea view anyway.
Was not happy at how the reception staff didn't deal with a drunk guest that exposed himself to me during a daylight check in! It was never spoken of again.
Reception need more staff.
On the plus side, should all of the above not have been a problem we would have been extremely chuffed at what we got for our money:).
Location is fab and if you can book a third floor room at the front of the hotel over looking the sea.
The room's have everything you need and although advertised as studio rooms they're actually very spacious.

Spacious apartment with pool and sea view in quiet part of the street. Close to all amenities and to the historical walled old town. Only a few minutes from a lovely promenade and beaches. No bar or entertainment at the apartment which suited us as we prefer it quiet in the evening. Staff were very helpful. Would go back again.

It's the last hotel in the street but the location is good, around 100 years from Figueretas beach and various ferries to ibiza town and formentera. Not that you need the ibiza town ferry as its a short 15 minute walk over the hill but the ferry itself is a nice experience and is only a few euros. The hotel is basic but good. Nice pool. I'd say that the slight annoyance is that they play music around the pool from around 10am which I'd rather not hear after a night out especially if you're nursing a hangover. The maids are nice and friendly and clean the room daily, replacing towels etc if you require it. The front of house staff are very pleasant and I'd single out Maria as a particularly helpful member of the desk staff. Thanks for a great stay.

You want Robbed - go here!

If you want robbed, then this is the place to go. Three ro0ms, including mine, where broken into around 5-6pm. I was in the shower when the person came into my room and took my purse from my handbag which was on the bed. My partner was at the local shop at this time. The Manageress, after much debatement, agreed to give me compensation which turned out to be a card with a discount code on it. She was not around when this was left for me the day before my departure. I have since enquired to Playasol Group how much it is worth. Well, it is worth a measly 5% discount on their hotels and must be used this year. The reception staff were amazing. Sebastian even offered to lend me money until I could get some from U.K. as all my cards were in the purse. This man has two little twin boys to provide for and yet he still offered to help me. Also the woman in the local Spar shop said I could take shopping until I got money from U.K. Luckily I had money in the safe with passports, jewellery, etc and this money tided us over until my daughter sent some out. The distress this caused was terrible. Security was increased after these incidents....too late. I say, hold on to your purse, check that your room door closes properly when you enter/exit. Several purses were behind reception, empty of course. If compensation had been given to me in the correct form, then I may have watered down this review but my advice to you is stay away!

Good view, close to town

The hotel staff was very helpful and spoke very good English. The room was clean and had a fridge and mini kitchen. Walking right out the door to the hotel we had a gorgeous view of the water. Just a short 10 minute walk down the road to the main part of town, so it was really easy to go out at night for dinner and drinks. The price was surprisingly cheap, and it was overall a nice hotel so I would definitely recommend staying here.

Good hotel in great location

Me and my friend stayed at the hotel for 1 week. The location is great with a fantastic view once you step outside the hotel. Only 15min walk to the bus stop to San Antoni or 10min walk to the bus stop to the airport or Ses Salines.
The closest beach is only a 5min walk with lots of cafes and restaurants to chose from if you feel hungry. Playa d'en Bossa is a good 20min walk and BoraBora beach club about 30min. The old town of Ibiza is also within walking distance (15min) and definitely worth having a look at. The view is breathtaking.
The walls in the hotel rooms are very thin though and the person next to us was snoring quite loudly. However, we bought ear plugs (highly recommendable) on the second day and this sorted it all out of for us. :-)
I felt though that the hotel staff were at times completly unable to cope with the amounts of arrivals and queries of hotel guests at the same time. Once I just wanted to get the keys for the luggage room and I had to wait approx.15min until the reception staff acknowledged me even though I was first in line. I tried to get the attention after the first couple of minutes of the person sitting behind the computer and got told to wait a minute. After a further 5min I asked again and was ignored completly and after a further 10min I asked again and she finally lifted her head from behind the computer and handed me the key which was lying right next to her the whole time. It was rude and very unfriendly.

Only great thing about the hotel is their pool. But the pool times are bad .only open from 11am to 7pm.
For the price we paid, the room was really old, bed was uncomfortable. The cleaners didnt changed the sheets. Hard to communicate with receptionists due to lack of English. And no consistency. I.e: one younger receptionists said we can buy our cruise/ clubbing tickets directly from the hotel whereas the older receptionists doesnt have a clue and directed us to buy outside the hotel. Even though a lot of ticket advertisements for activities were in the front desk and says tickets can be booked through them.

Good location

Close to old town, 10 minutes walk, good view from outside the hotel. Clean room and reasonable facilities. Only huge problem was no WiFi available which ment couldnt use phone to find info about the Ibiza as some do when on holiday. Hotel sent an engineer to fix the problem but he simply said there is nothing he could do and I had to go outside the room to get wifi. Overall happy with the hotel.

We had a great stay. The highlight of the hotel/apts is the outdoor swimming pool. It is great that it's adult only. No kids and loud noises at the swimming. We really enjoyed it. Also, they have a luggage room to store your luggage if you have an early/late flight and they have shower in the ground floor to use if you have not a room (you need to book a slot in advanced).

The hotel staff checked us in quickly. They gave us a bigger room than expected, which was nice. The room was clean and tidy with cleaners every day. The pool was tired (a few missing tiles and cracks around the edges), but refreshing and clean water. The hotel was advertised as adults only, however there were children staying in the room next to us and using the pool.

Two girls -20 years old, students.
First time to Ibiza, couldn't have stayed in a better hotel and location. 5 mins walk to the left to Ibiza Old town, on the sea front (with views), 30 mins walk to the right into Playa d'en Bossa main town, shops and taxi rank 2 min walk, great restaurants very close by along the sea front. Apartment and hotel very clean, daily cleaning in rooms was great. Pool and pool bar was fab with chilled music playing in the day - great atmosphere and bar selection.
Definitely coming back next year and recommending to my friends.
Classy place with nice people - close enough to hustle and bustle but able to escape from it.

Room itself was clean but a little dated and some maintenance needed - taps loose, plaster hanging from ceiling, shower not great. Pool area was clean and bar facility was good. Pleasant and Well located - Ibiza

The hotel was well located a stone's throw from waterfront restaurants and the swimming pool was excellent. The room was spacious and had cooking facilities and a small deck (unfortunately smaller because it was a corner room). The single beds were ok but needed upgrading for better comfort levels. Everything was functional and the stay was enjoyable.

Well placed for beach and getting to ibiza town

Really enjoyed my stay, staff were helpful. Room was lovely and clean with a small kitchenette + fridge. Bathroom was spotless. It was very close to the beach and also only a 20min walk to ibiza town and castle and marina, making it easy to go a trip to formentera.

Clean tidy hotel Great basic Facilities

Hotel in a quiet part of Ibiza town short walk away from center, tending to get groups of clubbers bit noisy at times during night but hey its Ibiza the party Island.Clean and tidy good basic facilities.Housekeeping daily,good bathroom facilities .Could do with an upgrade on beds as must have borrowed from the flintstone's as rock hard.Great pool.

Read mixed reviews so maybe our expectations were lowered but we thought the hotel facilities were really good, especially as this was one of the cheapest hotels we could find in this area. Our room was spacious, although this was because we had a corner balcony which was smaller than most and had no privacy. The room had two working hobs, kettle, cutlery and the fridge had a small freezer. The bathroom was functional, if a little poorly designed. A new basin on a marble top had been put in but the top extended over the edge of the bath which made it hard to get in. The room was cleaned daily and was tidy. The pool is shared with the other two hotels but during our stay there was always a lounger. The pool has a bar which serves drinks, pizzas other snacks, however its mojitos were amazing! The pool itself was a good size, however it is salt water which was a shock! The staff were always helpful and friendly when we needed help. The location of the hotel was perfect. Its about 20mins walk to Ibiza town and there are some lovely restaurants and bars in the local area of figueretas. The road the hotel is on is quiet but it has a few tapas bars, a couple of pizza bars and a few spars. Its possible to walk to playa den bossa, its 45min to the start of the beach and then a further 15min to where the beach bars start. All in all, for what can be classed as a budget hotel in Ibiza, the standard of room, the pool and location were all better than expected and good value for money

DISCO BUNNY SPECIAL !

We 'might' have had a great room with a view. we overlooked the front towards the sea and boats which were totally obscured by three large rubbish skips and prison bars, no view to the left. Therefore , an unusable, street level balcony. The bins were regularly fed from the poolside bar staff ! The full on music blaring over the pool all day should be turned down to enable guests to choose and listen to their own music.

Nice, basic hotel close to the beach

I came here with my boyfriend for a beach holiday and we enjoyed it a lot. It has a little kitchenette and it's very spacious.
Sometimes there's music playing in the pool bar but not in an annoying, loud way. It was quite pleasant.
I would totally recommend it.

I would have to say I am completely disappointed with both Tropical Garden and hotels.com

The way this hotel was advertised is NOTHING like the reality of it.

Upon arrival nobody spoke a word of English, or at least pretended not to. Reservation wasn't even on file. I had to print out the confirmation from hotels.com to prove that one was made in order to even get a room.

Once the key was passed along, we had to walk a distance to our room, which normally wouldn't be an issue. But in this case. BIG PROBLEM. As 2 female visitors we are slightly nervous of our surroundings. None of the lights in the long corridors worked, we were literally wandering in the dark to find our room using our cell phones for lighting. Not a safe feeling in the slightest.

Once into the room we noticed a multitude of issues.

The original reason we booked at this hotel was for the air conditioning. Well not only did out AC not work, out phone and our TV were also out of service.

Which made our stay miserable. When we went back downstairs to have these things fixed out switched into another room, we were given a run around. Again. No English. Told the phone and TV would be fixed tomorrow. And of course this NEVER happened!

I am once again completely disappointed!!!!

Quiet location close to all amenities

We asked for a sea view and got one! The room is basic but clean and tidy and we loved the staff who were all so friendly. This hotel was the perfect location half way between Ibiza town and Playa den Bossa. We will most certainly stay here again.

An economy hotel, that said, very very good value

A great experience, especially for the money. Very close to the Old town with cool, little places nearby. Parking is hard to find, but is possible if you are prepared to walk a little.

Only worth it if you get an ocean view room!

The lady at the desk was extremely unhelpful. We got a room that was next to the elevator - warning... do NOT get a room even close to that elevator. It is really loud and makes a noise that emanates through the rooms when it is in use. We could not get any sleep and since the front desk would not move our room, we upgraded to a more expensive ocean view room to get away from that elevator. Moving rooms felt like we were in a totally different hotel. The view was amazing and totally worth the upgrade. The hotel is a bit of a walk to the beach and to the clubs though, we had to cab around and take the bus.
