I highly recommend this excellent Hotel it’s so clean..Staff so helpful front desk & especially to night shift duty helping out luggage’s. Outdoor so clean although we don’t used the pool. Areas so convenient shopping malls and my Grandchildren enjoyed playing in the arcade area’s..For sure will come back soon & staying this Hotel again..

This is the fourth time staying at this hotel so we know and liked this hotel. The staff are fabulous and the location is awesome. However we were disappointed with this stay as the quality of the facility has gone down. The pillows and beds were very soft and bedding was scratchy on the skin. Everyone in my party woke with sore necks, shoulders and backs. The toilet paper was so rough that even the ones at the adjacent mall was noticeably a better grade. The hotel no longer provides nail care or sewing kits and the slippers provided are of poor quality. Having stayed in hotels in China on this stay, we were not impressed with Royal Plaza this time around.

Always stay at this hotel every time we visit Hong Kong. It is in the same building as MOKO shopping centre as well as MK East station. Plenty of other MTR stations within a 10-20 minute walk as well - all mostly connect by overpasses which is handy!

So many good eateries nearby and so convenient to get everywhere.

Booking taxi service for the airport is also seamless.

Pool hours including cleaning should be specified to guest when they arrive instead of when they arrive at pool.
Bathroom maintenance could be done better such as cracks on sink, floor ledge at the door is a tripping hazard and bathroom is too high making causing slips when coming out.

Easy location atop moko mall, lots of shopping and dining options and a nice grocery store as well as the aquatic market restaurant. Room is large with a separate shower + skinny tub +has an electric curtain in the bathroom window. Tele has limited english channels but was expected. Local restaurant mw is closeby and jampacked at all hours. Very fair priced

It was our family’s first time in Hong Kong and overall the hotel was exceptional. However, the front desk staff during check-in was rude. I believe they should be more polite and willing to answer questions, especially for tourists who may not speak the language. On the other hand, housekeeping was exceptional

Absolutely enjoyed my stay at the Royal Plaza for 13 nights. Definitely would choose them again. Hotel for me was in a very convenient area with access to the train/underground and bus. As it was right in the shopping mall it also meant loads of food choices if you didn't want to go far as well as decent shopping though admittedly enjoyed shopping in the nearby markets like Ladies Market, Flower Market and Temple street more than the mall. All the staff I encountered were all very friendly, professional, helpful and efficient. The lovely ladies who clean the rooms always greeted me with a smile and even disappointed one day when I said I didn't want my room cleaned! I didn't get to use much of the hotel facilities as was out and about meeting up with friends and family but on our departure day since our flight out was late in the evening we asked about using the shower facilities and was happy to pay a fee since we had already checked out. The Concierge staff were so helpful in helping to arrange this and the service was complimentary. One final thing that I loved about my stay to which I have not seen before in any hotel and I highly recommend other hotels take on board if they haven't already, and that is there was an additional tap in the bathroom which was filtered drinking water! Genius! So you don't have to use/buy bottled water and since it was on tap you can drink as much as you can and take some out with you in your flask when you are out.

Family of 3, really enjoyed our stay at the Royal Plaza hotel. The room was spacious and had 2 double beds which is great for families with small children. Very convenient location with the Mong Kok East station and MOKO mall just downstairs. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is at Mongkok East Railway station, so it is very convenient to travel to Shenzhen. If you want to go to Ladies Market you could just walk. To travel to other parts of HK the Mongkok MTR is near. The hotel is clean, quiet and the room is relatively large. Very comfortable to stay, the service staffs are very helpful and courteous too.

Stayed in this hotel twice within 2 years, staff are always polite and rooms are cleaned well. Location is excellent with two different MTR stations within 5 minutes walk. Only thing can be better is that after 11pm the adjoining hotel back entrance with the Moko shopping centre closes therefore you cannot walk directly through the Moko. Instead you need to walk partially through the shopping centre and around the side of the building to the main entrance, which takes a few minutes longer especially after a tired day out.

View was average but room was very clean and modern. Large enough for family of 4 and I believe we were put on the same floor as other families, although we couldn’t hear them from our room. Hotel doesn’t have a bar not coworking space so not great if you’re expecting to do a little work. Gym and pool looked good and it’s very conveniently located within a huge shopping centre and station, the café adjacent is open early and serves an excellent HK cafe menu.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, the last time was more than 10 years ago and the hotel upgraded themselves so it looks more modern now.

It’s located in a very convenient location, connected to Mongkok East Station and Moko mall. We could walk to Mongkok via the connecting bridge. There are 茶餐厅 nearby and you can walk to prince Edward station via the escalator and along the road in 10 min.

Only downside is the shower head water pressure is quite weak.

Other than that, love this hotel! I enjoyed the waso cafe opposite prince Edward station a lot, will definitely go back for more!

The room size was great, the beds and air conditioner worked well. I found the facility well maintained and customer service great. The location is terrific and close to shops and the MTR station. The only draw back when we went in March was that their pool was undergoing maintenance. The pool looked fine when we checked it out but was only open the day after we checked out.

Staff was fantastic and friendly, location was super convenient for traveling out and about. The gym and the pool are really well maintained, and the steam room and sauna in the changing rooms were also very nice. Our room itself was amazing, and really well maintained. Everything was top-notch. Breakfast was convenient and simple— nothing incredible, but still nice to have. One thing to note is that the room only had a cooler fridge, so it can’t store milk, and there was no microwave. Wasn’t a big deal for us, but could be if you’re traveling with small children.

We traveled as a family of 4 and my kids loved the hotel pool. The pool is actually much larger than it appears in the photos on the website and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice both the pool and change areas were. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Hotel is attached to a mall and MTR station plus bus terminal making it very convenient to go anywhere in Hong Kong. There is a walkway to the heart of commerce (Mong Kok) of Hong Kong, making shopping both inexpensive stuff from street vendors or top end stores very accessible. Perfect location for a short stay in HK. Also the MTR station is a direct rail line to China , making a very quick to reach Shenzhen

The room was clean and comfortable, and we stayed as a group of four.

Our stay was split across two separate date ranges with a two-day gap in between. During this time, we requested luggage storage for four suitcases, as each guest had one piece of luggage. The hotel policy allows storage of only two suitcases per room.

It would be helpful if this policy were clearly stated on the hotel’s website in advance. The staff initially suggested consolidating four suitcases into two, which was not realistic. I explained that while a two-luggage limit may be reasonable for a standard two-person room, we were staying in a room for four people, with one suitcase per guest.

Although the hotel did store all four pieces of luggage in the end, the experience highlighted some limitations that may be worth noting for guests with similar needs.

Staff attitude and customer service are excellent but that’s where it ends. Rooms in desperate need of renovation, toilet seat worn out due to age, stains on the underside of the seat, mould everywhere in shower ceiling and basin. Furnitures corners and edges all chipped, the office chair provided is ripped, blinds very dirty and stains on sheets. Cleaning team works on a quota and there is a chestnut shell from previous stay on the floor. The condition of the hotel is worse than a motel.

The only positive about this hotel is the location. It’s positioned in the perfect spot is you want easy access to shopping mall and MTR station. The hotel itself is very dated. Our room had a strong smell of stale cigarettes which was not ideal for our 10 year old. The carpet had stains and the bathroom desperately needs an update.

The staff were rude and unwelcoming and did not make us feel welcome at all. Every staff member we encountered was like this apart from the room cleaners who were pleasant enough to say hello and have a great day.

I don’t even want to mention how bad breakfast was. The last time we stayed at this hotel it had one of the best buffet breakfasts. This time no buffet breakfast.

And to end the TV in the room was from the 1990’s so if you want a nice luxury stay don’t stay here

Stayed there for 7 nights and was given a room on 17/F which is the highest floor for standard rooms except the club and executive floors above.
Room was clean and housekeeping did a great job every day. The aircon in the room was quiet and the bed was relatively comfortable.
However, the air in the room was very dry and the washroom did not include body lotion / cream as part of the amenities provided. I was a little bit disappointed as well that there wasn’t a small Nespresso machine or other simple capsule coffee machine available in the room — that’s a standard for most hotels these days.
Overall, the hotel’s location is unbeatable, service was good, room was big and clean, and I would stay in Royal Plaza again if the opportunity arises.
