If your expectations are low then this is the place for you! Don’t know how it received such high ratings but this place is definitely dated and unbecoming! And the breakfast is basically nonexistent (just some bread, cereal and apples, not even an assortment of fruit) with juice and coffee! Unfortunately I went off of the previous reviews and the first few pics I saw! Lesson learned!

Things look a bit worn. It's winter and there's no heavy cover on the bed but the heat worked well. The bed was very comfortable and the area is quiet. The breakfast area is large and the food is kept stocked up. We stayed there on our way to Florida and will stay there again on the way back. We stayed there on our trip last year.

My bathroom had a dirty qtip on floor by waste basket. The bathroom sink had very low pressure. The check in staff was not accomodating and had an attitude. The coffee was luke warm at breakfast at 6:30.

We understand it was an older building, as goes the price. Our main issue was the “hot” breakfast. Technically if you toast a bagel or put hot water in instant oatmeal there is an element of hot. The last place we stayed (have been there several times), has a “real” hot breakfast. Scrambled eggs, sausage links or paddies along with fresh fruit, yogurts, waffles and the typical continental breakfast.

The room was squeaky clean and just adorable! Kind of 80's Retro decor. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was pleasant. Even the continental breakfast was very nice with fresh muffins and bagels! Great motel atmosphere right out of the 80's!! Thank you to all the staff!

Was a hard choice between 3 and 4 stars. The room was pretty good. Clean and all we needed. The check in went fine. I’m hoping my deposit they took comes back to me. They were polite. The outside needs a facelift. But inside looked ok. The breakfast was almost non existent. Definitely not a contenental breakfast. A bagel was the best choice. No yogurt even. I chose a chocolate milk and it had the weirdest consistency. Milk was like the 6th thing in the ingredients list. We would stop again just because of the price.

Love the retro look with the HoJo color scheme. Everything looked new and immaculate, but the classic decor gave the place some character and a bit of charm instead of looking like a standard issue, one each hotel. Will look for other HoJos during our travels.

We enjoy the 'park outside your room' for easy unpacking and quick exits instead of hauling all of your bags through the lobby, waiting for an elevator and navigating the hallways.

The first room we got was old and unexceptionable. The carpet was piled and strands pulled up, the cushion on the bed was frayed and ripped. I asked for a more updated room, showed the manager my photos and he gave us another room. Once again we brought all our luggage in and started to look around. We didn’t have to look far. The room was in the middle of renovations. There was plaster dust on everything, the shower area was not complete, chunks of plaster that was not sanded. The tub was full of plaster so we couldn’t have a shower. We were so tired after driving for 13hrs we didn’t have the stamina to look for another room. I have pictures to show what the both rooms looked like. The rating on your site looked like everything was great, were we just unlucky. You might want to lower the rating. When we checked out I mentioned it to the front desk clerk to have someone to check the room. I said in a very nice way that we would never return. I thought after someone seen the room that they might contact us but never heard from them. I don’t see anywhere where I can send the photos but would like you to see them.

Breakfast menu was fresh and there was an attendant to replenish items. The coffee was on the weak side. The only protein was cream cheese. I would have loved a cup of yogurt or a boiled egg.

Parking was easy. There were some coned off spots, but it was not great lighting for night time arrivals. We had a room on the inner courtyard side of the buildings, making access harder at night, Reading room numbers was challenging. We went to find our room before lugging our luggage.

The price was reasonable, but we had a hot breakfast at the motel the night before with better access to our room, and less signs of wear on door frames and exterior of buildings.

The bed was comfortable and clean, and so was the bathroom area.

MCM design was nice, but everything was so rundown. The carpet was peeling back. There was a mashed roach on the bathtub. The refrigerator was old and funky on the outside. And the pillows had spots on them.

The breakfast was subpar. I had read it had a good breakfast, but there was nothing but toast and bagels and her boiled eggs.
