Hotel was quiet and provided what we needed for a night’s rest on our trip down to NC. Front desk host, Debra was very nice and accommodating. However, the 3rd floor rooms have a heavy chemical smell with smoke undertones…Perhaps an attempt to cover up the smell from people smoking in the rooms even though it’s not allowed. We tried two rooms and found the smell to be the same.

We also ran into an emergency with our baby and needed dish soap and the front desk refused to give us any (we also offered to pay for it) and instead sent us to a nearby grocery store. Walking though the doors it smells amazing!! They have summer decorations throughout. Adds a nice touch. The hotel is 1 of 3 connected to the parking lot, but feels cozy still. Beautiful pool and hot tub area. One of the few places with a hot tub in the area. Pool & hot tub opened intil 11!! Also the little alcove seating is neat, would double as a bed for a small child/young adult. Hotel is in Walking distance to Ruby Tuesdays, gas station, and a liquor store. Employees are super nice as well!!

One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in which was a genuine surprise since this property had 8.2 rating on hotels.com. The hotel is supposed to be smoke free, but the first room they gave us reeked of cigarette smoke so fortunately they had another room with 2 queen beds available still (I question if the beds were actually queen sized or doubles too). The next room had a giant stain on top of one bed cover that would have been impossible to miss when they made the bed, the underlay sheets had multiple brown stains, and the blanket on the other bed had cigarette burns on it and again I don’t know how that would have been missed when they washed it and put it on the bed. The window had duct tape over cracks which wasn’t great. The front desk staff person was friendly at least when she moved our room and brought us clean(er) bed spreads. The breakfast was pretty limited which isn’t surprising when it lists continental breakfast, but the cereal dispenser was labeled with regular Cheerios and was loaded with Honey Nut Cheerios which would have been a serious problem if my kids had allergies. If I hadn’t been in the car with whiny kids I would have left and checked into a better hotel so don’t make them same mistake.

The area around the hotel is a little sketchy as we stopped at a gas station a minute away from the hotel and the attendant was obviously high and there were people loitering around that were under the influence of something. We were playing cards in the lobby in the evening and watched in amazement, Andrea zipping all over to help other guests. She did it all with a smile and not one hesitation. Early the next morning, she even greeted us with a big smile. I was amazed she was still smiling. The utmost professional, both Michael and Andrea. Super clean and beds were very comfortable. Brand new hot tub was installed but wasn't in working order when we were there. Looking forward to our stay next year as we travel down to Florida.

Got to the hotel…checked in. Lady on duty was nice. Got to the room, it was cold. Turned the unit to heat the room…quite noisy. Someone in another room was having a shower and it made a horrible loud noise in our room. But 6 am they had a shower again and woke me from a dead sleep. The heater was noisey all night. Spoke to the front desk and they said the appropriate noise but you could tell it was too bad for me. They didn’t care. The breakfast was pretty bad. Was surprised.
