They should have provided coffee in the rooms and ice machines on the floors. You have to go downstairs for everything.

Clean room, helpful staff. Breakfast was standard with free buffet. Parking was ample.

There really isn't anything unique about the place. It meets basic needs. It's clean and efficient. I find the room is noisy because it is near the interstate and you hear traffic all night long. If I stay there again, I will ask if there is a room farther from the interstate.
Nicole
Staff were helpful. Room was decent except for the floor, it's not carpeted which is understandable being that pets are welcome here, however, the floor was sticky and dirty! My white socks became black from walking around the room the first night. I had to keep my slides on while in the room and you could hear them sticking to the floor.

Quiet night of sleep. Alarm clock went off @ 6:00 — didn’t realize someone else left it set. Breakfast was nice. Coffee was good. All in all a nice stay.
Jasmine
Staff and room were fine. Breakfast could have been better. Overall a good stay and would stay there again
Deborah
Hotel was well kept.
Plenty of parking.
The breakfast space was crowded.

The attendant at the front desk when checking in was absolutely rude and disrespectful. The amenities are very few and not what expected. The shower had mold in the corners and cracks in the shower.
steve
My wife waited a long time for yogurt machine to be refilled
Coffee was empty when we went to leave
Staff seemed overwhelmed
There was a lot of running around the halls late into the night
The fire alarm woke me earlier than planned and then went off two more times

Excellent breakfast- included in your stay
Joseph
No amenities at all no pool no hot tub gym with a few weights. I like to enjoy a hotel not to work when I’m there
William
Great place all around but for 1 issue. My bed and pillows were awful. The mattress and pillows were extraordinarily mushy. They pillows were so bad they could not be used. I could not sleep. Otherwise a GREAT stay and great staff.
Mark
We enjoyed our stay here. Room was very clean and comfortable.
Mary

Clean, easy parking, friendly staff

I had reservations for 2rooms. We went to our room, and the people next door had the tv on full blast. It vibrated through our wall.
The second room was on the other side of us. My daughter in law found a bloody hand print on the bathroom door.
Susan at the front desk was extremely apologetic and immediately reassigned us two other rooms.
If not for Susan, I would have asked for a refund and found another hotel… which I did on our return trip.
I have stayed at other Tru hotels and they were nothing like this.

Room was clean and very spacious. It was a little strange not having a microwave and having to walk to the lobby to use one. Other than that, great stop for one night.
Jamisha
Hotel stay was cool. Parking was easy. Room was clean. There wasn't a pool which was kind of disappointing for my kids. Close by shopping and restaurants.
Jason
Hotel was clean. The fastest check-in I've had. Convenient location to food and gas as well as the interstate. Quiet property and very clean, welcoming lobby. Room was perfect.
WILLIAM
No coffee pot in the room, no microwave in the room, plugged in the blow dryer and it blew a fuse in my bathroom and after being reported maintenance did not get to it before I had to leave. I do not recommend this TRU in Beckley.
Terry
The entire hotel was very clean, the staff was excellent, breakfast was as better than I expected, parking was very convenient. The pool table was an added bonus for myself and I noticed for other guest as well. The business center area was ready for all my business needs.
Terry
The the hotel was very clean, the staff was excellent, breakfast was all I expected and the price was reasonable. I've stayed here multiple times and have never been disappointed.
Janet
Very friendly and helpful staff. I liked the fitness center and the lobby area a lot. Plenty of convenient parking. My only complaints: mattress was too soft, no coffee in the room and breakfast was just so-so
Phil
We have chosen this hotel in the past because it does not have carpets in the room and gerenally feels clean. The rooms are small (and we knew this). However on this stay we did not experience and service in the room during a 4 night stay (even after bringing this to the attention of front desk staff. They blamed it on other people and the room was never serviced. On the morning le checked out we found a someone else’s clothing in our room which made us believe that one of the staff may have used our room to shower and change clothes. This was disturbing. I don’t think we’ll stay here again.
Laureen
We arrived at 4pm and they gave away our room to someone else in error because they didn't bother to check the name. So we had to settle for a smaller room that was not as clean as expected for a newer hotel. Very disappointed. The best part of tge stay was their pancake machine ar breakfast. Even though I travel through the area often, I won't be going back. Definitely not up to Hilton hotel group standards.
Ryan
Will stay again.
Regina
No problems.
Sandy
Arrived late left early but it was quiet and clean I like the wood floor no carpet and breakfast good
Victoria
Clean room. Nice amenities like the snack area. Easy access to my room.
Lisa
We stayed in Lumberton had a true and it was way nicer than the one in Beckley
Tracie
The elevators were broke and we were on the 4th floor
Rosemary
Could have used a microwave oven in the room
Michael
Yes parking was good and it seemed to be a safe environment
Ruth
Breakfast was decent and adequate. Good coffees and teas. Hot water and coffee readily available. Staff was attentive and helpful.
Easy parking and clean adequate sized rooms. Comfortable bed!
Elevator was broken and we had to walk up and down 3 flights of stairs. That was not great!!!

Breakfast was decent as was location. It was a older hotel and the rooms were really noisy, especially from people above.
Timothy
Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately the lack of operational elevators was a physical challenge with suit cases.
AnnMarie
Fairly new hotel, very clean, a nice variety of food offered at the complementary breakfast.
Todd
Nice, clean gym with treadmills, kettlebells and dumbbells
Margaret
Not sure why this hotel has high ratings. All night you heard trucks gearing down as they passed by on the highway.
Once arrived we were informed that the elevator was not working, so your only option was the stairs. Not sure how they were accommodating any with handicaps or disabilities, was asked if we need assistance.
The room was not outstanding, the bathroom shower glass door was not wiped properly and the floor and baseboards were not clean. The floor in the bedroom area squeaked. The mattresses were not comfortable.

The elevator was out when we arrived, and they put us on the fourth floor. The bedspreads were dirty, and the bedside lamp was broken. There was a strange smell in the hallway. Not much breakfast was left at 8:30 AM. Would not stay here again.
Roger
I'll give a pretty realistic review.
We stayed one night and it was just okay. Unfortunately, the elevator was broken, so I'd call ahead before you book if you have mobility issues.
The room was relatively clean. The shower soaps were completely out, which was fine for me, but I figured they'd be checked each cleaning.
Breakfast was pretty mid but it had enough so it'll do! The lobby was super nice and the staff was very friendly.
The only major thing is that the hallway and stairwell were pretty disgusting.
We probably wouldn't stay here again but it wasn't end of the world. So if you're going, it'll probably be alright. A lot of dogs there.

Property was very welcoming, pet friendly which was needed as we were traveling home from Florida with our dog. It was very clean, lobby was spacious and we were impressed with the selection of drinks and snacks.
Carrie
Nice clean place very friendly staff. Perfect for a night rest stop . The breakfast was pretty good too !
Amber
The elevator was broken and we did not find out until we arrived. My daughter was in a walking boot so it wasn't the best situation climbing the floor 3 flights of stairs. Pet friendly as well so be prepared many dogs barked not all night but enough. Location was great and rooms were very clean!
Barbara
No elevator no ground floor room available smelled of dog
Andrew
Elevators were down. No discount was offered and a refund and a good luck finding someolace else to stay. No rooms on first or second floor so had to make three trips up to get everything up. Also had our dog, so repeated trips up amd down for potty breaks.
Outlet near desk was non-functional (didn't realize it until in the morning device didn't charge). Also no light bulb in wall light so dim room. Only one rolling desk chair so only ither seating was bed.

The property was clean and well maintained. The bad thing was the bed and the pillows. They were terrible and didn't have a good night's sleep! The bed was hard and the pillows were too big. The elevators were out of order. Not worth the price we paid. Definitely not one of Hilton's.
Patricia
Good place to stay
Roger and or Lorraine
The pancake machine wasn't working properly and it was 15 minutes before someone came around to check. by that time I was done eating.
Pamela
The staff is horrible.
Molly
Would stay here again.
Lori
Parking was easy and secure.
Tad
Very clean, very well maintained! Bathrooms were spotless, pleny of shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Had to ask for extra towels since they didnt do daily house keeping, wish for 2 people 2 nites they'd put at least 4 bath towels.
All the staff was very friendly.
Breakfast had a nice selection, and wasnt bad for a continetal breakfast(eggs, bacon, coffee, tea, juices, cereal, fruit, bagels, toast, pancakes, yogurt)
Had a pool table and nice lounging area.
Overall id stay again.

We only stayed here for one night, but I would definitely stay again. The property seems new and well maintained. I appreciated the large shower and small things such as 3 towel hooks in the bathroom and jacket hooks in the main bedroom. Overall, it was a great stay.
Paula
Pet friendly property in a very convenient location. Helpful staff and clean room. The lack of traditional closet, storage space and coffee maker was disappointing.
Simon
It was great for what it is
Tammy
The room was clean. Very uncomfortable beds and pillows. Staff were great until breakfast. At breakfast the staff (including General Manager) were extremely loud, laughing, etc. Another guest actually got up and closed the door to where they were.
Kara
Such a fun atmosphere… great decor! Clean and good coffee!
Wesley

handi able room perfect for disability
Tariq
Room was clean and staff was courteous.
Ashley
Hotel was super clean and staff was friendly.
The main issue was it was difficult to figure out how to get into the hotel late at night as the registration desk sits on the middle of the building and has multiple entrances facing the front desk. You have to walk to the back of the building to check-in late at night. This was frustrating after driving long hours and walking around on icy sidewalks.
I would stay there again.

Very clean and minimalistic decor. Perfect for a one night stay as we traveled. Beds were very comfortable.
Graham
Clean and perfect for a stop in Beckley! Best place we’ve stayed at in that town.
Ivan
For some reason they gave us a handicap room near the front on the first floor. It was loud and the bed felt like it was old
Alison
The staff was incredibly nice and it was a great, safe place to stay while on a roadtrip.
Karen
The room was sparse. Shower was good but very small
The walls were very thin. Could hear lots through the walla

Great room, great bed. Breakfast was ok. Wonderful location from the highway. Plenty of outside areas for my dog. The dog fee is a bit much.
Kimberly

noreen

Mark
Great stsy
Marcia
Front desk clerk was very friendly. Room was cean and comfotable. Breakfast was great
alvin
It was a little confusing finding the front entrance. The bathroom had old washcloths in the shower and there were no tissues. There was no coffee maker for a quick morning cup. Who wants to go downstairs before a shower to get coffee. For the cost of the room the company can afford at least a small Kuerig.
Cheryl
It is an very nice hotel with a good staff.
Diane
We arrived at 130 am after a long drive, no one was at the desk. We waited about 15 minutes, then I called and someone came out. They were pleasant but I just wanted to get to bed and not wait in the lobby.
William
We had a water leak in the ceiling of our bathroom. The staff was great. They came right up and took a look and even took a couple pictures. They were going to give us a full refund, but, they said Expedia has to do that because we used a third party to book the room. They can't give a refund until Expedia OK's the refund. Please OK the refund.
Timberlyn
One of the beds had hair in the bed and I had to ask for clean sheets other than that great stay.
Beth
Room was clean but did not have a dresser. Weird. Or closet. Beds comfy and comfortable. Just stayed 1 night and breakfast was good.
Philip
Room was extremely clean. The bed was wonderful! We slept like we were on a cloud. The clerk made check-in very easy and was very helpful!!
Victoria
Room clean. Check in girl could of had a better personality though.
Jim
Everything good.
Kathie
Like the rooms and shower.
Madelyn
The room was clean and we liked the walk in shower.
Lorraine
Super clean and staff was very courteous.
Patricia
Clean room, great breakfast, nice staff. Lost two stars because the beds, linen and pillows were all uncomfortable. Also they don’t put flat sheets on their beds which I thought was strange, I didn’t like having their comforter up against my skin.
