There were maintenance issues with the room, electrical outlet not working, bed frame had metal sticking out i I kept catching my leg on. Hair in bathroom on floor. The pool is in back corner of parking lot next to a dumpster. The breakfast was sad. Everyone who walked in after us commented on it. Some things had definitely been updated and looked nice though.

When we arrived there was a faint odor of marijuana in the lobby. I had reserved a room with a king size bed and was given a room with 2 double beds. I was too tired to quibble. The positive was there was a refrigerator in the room and the elevator worked fine. There was a security light right above our window and the curtains did not close. At 12:30 am someone tried getting into our room. The employee at the desk had given them a key to our room. A few minutes after the other customer left, the employee called our room to check on who might be there. She said the previous employee gave us the key to the room but did not check us in. I don't know how that works. In the morning I found change and a candy wrapper on the floor next to my bed that were not left by me. Obviously the floor had not been vacuumed. We went down for \"continental breakfast\" which was waffles or cereal. We went back to our room to gather our belongings and couldn't get in the room because the door \"key\" had been programmed to the \"other customer\". I had to go down to the desk and get our keys reset. None of the ice makers were operational. They had a sign in the elevator that said they hoped we had a memorable stay. It was definitely memorable, but not in a good way. Clarion will never be our choice again. Note: The employee working the desk in the morning apologized sincerely.

I can’t really rate anything but staff helpfulness because this hotel refused to honor our reservation or assist in trying to figure out the issue. The 2 customers in front of us and the one behind us all had a similar problem - our virtual credit card was being declined. The clerk simply said she wouldn’t give us a room and told us to call “Expedia”. When we offered to hold the room on our actual card and maybe the system would be working in the morning g she simply told us we’d be double billed and asked us to step aside so she could help the person behind us. When hotels.com attempted to call the hotel to fix the situation (which is what she told us to do) they didn’t answer…over multiple attempts over the course of an hour!

The good: beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bad: AC fan controller not working properly. Staff struggled to key the room. Fitness center was closed due to broken equipment. Staff not wear Uniforms. Finishes in room were very outdated. Faucet in bathroom was very loose. Hotel cost was about twice what it was worth. I would not stay there again unless the cost was much lower.

A customer ahead of us was having issues getting checked in, and was obviously frustrated and started getting an attitude and the employee assisting this customer started yelling and it made my children, and quite frankly everyone else in the lobby, uncomfortable. The employee was very kind and to polite to me, though. Our room could have definitely used a deep clean. The carpet was filthy, the room smelled of mildew, and there was mildew in the soap dispenser in the shower. Our security latch was busted and the door handle was loose,as if the door had previously been busted open, so we didn't feel very secure in our room, especially with people yelling and arguing in the hallway late at night.

Cheap room for one night along our route to Florida. The bed wasn't the most comfortable. Hotel staff were kind, the room was clean, and the place was quiet. Got my money's worth. Wouldn't want to stay here for an extended period, but it was fine for a one-night stay.

The hotel is old which isn’t a problem but it’s I desperate need of a total renovation. It’s damp and there is mold everywhere. The staff was nice. It was okay for a one night stay as it was just to sleep and leave the next day. Even the floor felt damp to walk on. It didn’t feel extremely safe either.

If this was a recently renovated property, FAIL! Toilet kept running all night, AC/Heat was making strange noises, not nearly enough outlets to plug night stands and lights into. Overhead and floor lamp had compact fluorescent bulbs that were buzzing. It is 2026, how about LED bulbs! Wife thought the bed was comfortable. That's the only positive i can think of.

Check in was chaotic. Phone ringing off the hook, line in the lobby, and only one receptionist. Another person came in to help. Some people were having issues with no heat or hot water in their rooms and they were having to switch rooms. The Second Lady that came to help was super rude and short with one man needing to change rooms.
With the hotel filling up, due to spring break, the manager hiked the prices to $133. Crazy for such an unprepared hotel.
Thankfully everything worked in our room. It’s obvious that they did a quick make over of the hotel. Slapped paint on and it just looks gross in places like the bathroom.
The beds were very uncomfortable. We had springs sticking in our hips.
The breakfast was running out of things and they weren’t being replaced. Syrup, plastic ware, boiled eggs…. Coffee was taken down at 10:00. It’s not available after that.

The lady at the front desk was nice, but didn’t know how to check us in or charge for drinks from the lobby “market”. The rooms smelled musty and the first room they put us in had a broken toilet and phone. When I requested a new room, the lady at the front desk was on her cellphone the entire time talking about how she did not like working at this hotel.

There was no hot water in our room on the 2nd floor when we were trying to shower in the morning. When we inquired at the front desk we were told they were not aware of any problems and there was nothing they could do. There was another guest present who was complaining about no hot water on her room on the 1st floor. The hotel would not compensate either of us for the inconvenience. We were very upset because we had to go to another hotel to get a room so we could shower before we headed to our work meeting.

We stayed at this hotel just one night. We rate the hotel “good”, but it has a potential to be better. The staff could make a difference if they would be trained to be friendly, proactive, offering information about services in the area, such as late night food orders and deliveries to the hotel. The front lobby and main entrance must be cleaned more often. Lighting of the main entrance could be improved.

Check-in was great. Good customer service. Room was not so great. Air didn’t work well- coffee stain on the bed comforter that looked to be fresh- curtain was tattered- room smelled stale. I booked my room through expedia. Upon checking in, they said my card hadn't gone through. I was advised to pay for a room using my card again, and contact expedia to cancel the room I booked. Expedia said my transaction was non refundable, and I was charged for the room at the front desk. It cost me $237 for a room that didn't have working cards for the door lock. I was totally scammed.

This property was incorrectly advertised as the amount of people that each room
Could sleep. It advertised 7 in one room, but they only slept 4. After speaking to the desk and reviewing the advertisement, they were able to provide our family with a second room. The desk clerk was very apologetic and kind.

Place isn’t great but isn’t terrible. Literally average is the best description. Staff were very friendly but there were some minor inconveniences. Our door wouldn’t open with the keycard so I had to walk all the way back to the front desk with the kids in tow to get it fixed.
Ice machine didn’t work so we had to use the one on the 2nd floor which was rusted out and barely spit out ice.
The room itself was better than expected with some little amenities (charging ports, desk lamp, decently size mini fridge) but wasn’t the cleanest. Spotted one dirty hand towel and the curtains were a bit worn out.
On the plus size the bed was comfy and I slept like a baby.
Would recommend if on a tight budget or booking something last minute otherwise maybe check out a couple different options literally down the street

I liked the convienience of being located right off the highway with quick access off and on. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. The room was clean and the continental breakfast was well stocked with cereals, bread, bagels,yogurt ,waffles and fruit. The only thing I would complain about was a few minor details in the room that needed attention. Lamp with no working usb and plug in receptacles. Chair with loose armrest . But all in all it was fine for a one night stay while travelling.

Upon entry of the motel it smelled dirty but it was the only hotel with a room available. I usually stay at TRU. When i got to my room it looked ok but the bath looked dirty. The bed was comfortable and I did sleep well. I woke that morning to get ready for work. I had no bathroom towel. I did have 1 wash cloth and 1 hand towel. The hair dryer did not work. I most definitely will book early enough to not have to stay hear again. I did tell the staff about my room. He did say Im sorry but said it in a way as if well thats a normal occurance here. Sad

We have stayed here before and had a good time. We had a small issue regarding our payment, and ended up paying twice, but it was resolved with relative ease within a day. There was also an unknown charge of 47 dollars to one of the cards with no explanation, and it apparently didn’t show up on their end, so unsure what that was or is.

Property is a bit run down, but you get what you pay for. The area where the hotel is located is super convenient, parking lot is a bit chaotic.

Staff is always super helpful and friendly! Continental breakfast is pretty good. I’d considering staying again, but my husband probably wouldn’t.

One of the worst stay I have had in a longer time. 1st room the air conditioning didn’t work . They moved us to another room and someone left a surprise in the toilet. Then when we tried to go to sleep the room did not have blackout curtains and this hotel was next to the WV turnpike so the lights from the turnpike and the flood lights from the parking lot lit up the room so it made it difficult to sleep. When I told the front desk person in the morning she said that she has been telling maintenance for a week about the blackout curtains.
