I had a reservation at this property thru Expedia. I have to start by saying I am very disappointed with Expedia and the Hotel. I wanted to cancel my trip a day after the free cancellation window ended but a day before the trip start due to medical reasons. When I called the hotel, the hotel was ready to cancel the reservation for small fee or even reschedule for a later date without the fee, but they wanted Expedia to call them since the reservation was thru them. But after I reached out to Expedia, I was told the hotel refused to accept the cancellation.

I am not really sure if it is Expedia or the hotel that wanted to really go with its rule of no cancellation allowed beyond the date, even though I was cancelling the trip before the start. In the end, as a customer, I was the one who lost out.

I will reconsider using Expedia or this hotel chain in future where it feels like a company that prioritizes rules now and no longer a customer first service.

The breakfast was very good 👍👍. There is a large mowed yard out front to walk the 4 legged members of the family. The area is very quiet with a Marathon fuel mart across the street. There is a new Burger King adjacent to the Marathon station. We ordered our supper from the Burger King and they delivered it promptly.

ROACHES! We arrived around 1:00 AM after traveling for about eight hours. At check-in, we were informed that the hotel was fully booked due to an overbooking issue. The front desk staff offered us a room with a door that was jammed and would not open or close properly. Because it was very late and we were exhausted, we accepted the room.

Shortly after entering, we noticed small bugs in the sink and shower area. At the time, we were unfamiliar with what they were and did not immediately realize they might be roaches. The following morning, we noticed additional bugs in the sink, along the crease where the soap holder was located, and in the light fixture above the shower.

The most concerning moment occurred when unplugging the hotel hair dryer to use my own. Approximately 10 very small bugs scattered from behind the outlet area. After researching later, the bugs appeared consistent with roaches. We checked out as soon as possible after discovering this.

We were especially disappointed because we stayed at this hotel previously while traveling through the area and had a positive experience. Unfortunately, this visit was very different. We did not report the issue at checkout because we were focused on leaving quickly, but wanted to share this experience so others are aware.

This place offered one of the best stays I’ve had in a hotel in a long while. Nice, comfortable room and bed, excellent shower/water pressure, helpful staff. Available laundry facilities. It was also decorated so festively for Easter. I was traveling with my cat, and I’m thankful it was a pet-friendly hotel. Part of the reason I chose this place was the high rating on Travelocity, which I 100% agree with. No complaints and I would stay here again.

Location is a bit of problem with this hotel. It's about 5 miles away from the I77 which is a bit of a hike. I also didn't notice any nearby restaurants so that could be a problem for some folks as well. The room seemed pretty clean. The bathroom was dated and the toilet didn't flush very well. It was a bit worrisome to say the least. Breakfast was very minimal. No cooked eggs, or meat. Just waffles, items to toast, cereal, cold hard boiled eggs, yogurt and some gnarly looking fruit. The breakfast area was clean and the coffee was good. I've stayed at better places and I've stayed at worse.

The toilet didn’t flush… pretty sure there’s mold growing in the AC because as soon as I turned it on it smelled musky and I ended up having the WORST sore throat the next morning. My key card also stopped working multiple times and the staff had to fix it.

Once in our room, we used the toilet and it backed up. Called the front desk and told them. It was two men. The one on the line was relaying things to another guy. The other guy said to tell me I could come down and get a plunger. I asked for maintenance and was told that they would be in tomorrow. There was a barking dog two doors down and this was at 9:00 at night!! They did put us in another room. There were stains on the wall by the nightstand and headboard area where someone may have spilled a drink. Forget the shower!! There is a one-inch gap the length of the door and it won't stay closed. We used a washcloth to hold it closed. The water leaked out from the shower into a small puddle on the floor. It's obvious from the water damage to the floor, molding and grout. This place was nasty, but you get what you pay for. On check out, the three ladies that were there were very nice. Breakfast is a joke, if you even want to call it breakfast.

I guess I should have expected to get what I paid for, really. The cleanliness of the room was hard to determine since the property is old. The beds were so-so. There was no way to get soft drinks, or more importantly, water, from the vending machine, since the card reader would not work, and the machine would not take dollar bills. The person working the desk had less than $2 in quarters. The water was necessary because the water from the faucet was not clear, and I wish I could attach the photo I have, but there was no way I was going to drink the water. The climate control in the room did not work. Overall, it was a very utilitarian place to stay for one night on a road trip. I hope all Sleep Inns are not like this one, but I will not be risk finding out.
