They just didn't put out the waffle mix. But other than that it was nice
Jedidiah
The room was musty, not clean to the normal standard and the breakfast was lacking for I’m use to at a Wyndham Hotel. The staff were pleasant. I probably will not stay at this location again due to the above.
Harry
Breakfastt was lacking

First room had a broken mattress so they switched us without any issues. Second room, the beds were fine and clean but the bathroom was old, dirty and I wish we could have left and stayed somewhere else. But it was late and we only needed to sleep and leave in the morning.
Talita
Free Parking very clean. The continental breakfast was really good. SHE SEASONED THE POTATOES AND SAUSAGES LINKS. GREAT TASTE. THANKS FOR THE VARIETIES TOO. NICE LOBBY. COMFORTABLE CLEAN ROOM. I WOULD TRULY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.
SORRY FOR THE ALL CAPS.

The room was comfortable but the hotel itself can use some upgrades. It is still a good place for the value.

The staff in the room was okay I have no problems with that. But the spa area and pool was oversaturated with chlorine I literally got sick after that. My eyes was watering so bad because of it.

I have been staying at this hotel since it opened several years ago. I enjoyed having the indoor pool. I didn’t get to use it this time due to lack of time.
The elevator floor was sticky and smelled of alcohol.
The room itself was clean. I liked the makeup remover towelette.
The soap container in the shower was almost out and hard to pump out for my shower. The bedding had a bad odor.
I only was able to interact with the desk clerk who was friendly.

Clean rooms, nice and friendly staff.

The agent, Reggie worked with Mr because I can’t take elevators- he accommodated me the best that he could- I appreciated that…. Loved loved loved the cleanliness of the room- I can’t stand a dirty room- the bathroom smelled freshly cleaned and the sheets showed no bed bugs(I have a wand that detects)- the inside jacuzzi and pool were the best- great parking- definitely booking again when I want to travel to New Orleans

I thought the 3 to 11 front desk clerk was very helpful and resourceful. The maintenance man was prompt and willing to assist in making our stay more relaxed and memorable.
The cleaning supervisor was not helpful and did not keep her word.
I would like to have enough towels in my room for my family in the future.

For starters the tap water had a yellowish pee tent color to it. The beds were super low to the ground and were hard. Pillows were tiny. Ac unit rattled and vibrated the floor which in turn vibrated the beds because they were basically on the floor. The whole second floor had a musty damp smell to it. The in door pool should have been listed as an ice bath. It was to cold to even stay in to swim in.

It was ok overall!!

Everyone we saw was friendly and helpful. Stayed 8 days and will definitely stay there next time we are in Slidell.

The staff were great Cleanliness was great for what the staff has to work with. Many upgrades needed in this investment.
I went there primarily for the hot tub. It had no jets. Water was being blown straight up and over the sides. It did do what I needed for my arthritic body but it wasn't worth but $86,not $136.

The overall stay was ok but could have been better! The tub didn’t drain properly and I was disturbed several times by the occupants next door. Walls thin! I was able to hear the toilet flush as if I was in the room!

We received an email asking if what time we wanted to check out. Everything from 7am - 12pm were given as options. I selected 12pm. We had the cleaning lady tell my adult kids, \"If you aren't out by 1230am, I'll have to charge you. Also, there was no hot water. The comforter also had what appeared to be black mascara or ashes on it. We have stayed here plenty of times. Every time before this trip has been nothing but great.

Our rooms were clean on arrival however they didn’t clean the rooms while we were there we didn’t have fresh towels I asked for towels we never received them. The pool was unavailable which is the main reason I booked there. We went to the lobby for breaks we were there maybe 10 minutes there were barely any food there they brought out bacon my daughter fixed bacon for her and myself the pantry/kitchen worker with the Dora The Explorer haircut told her to save some for others while the other guests cleared the breakfast bar out several times never once did she say anything to them when I addressed it to her she said she didn’t notice it which was a lie! I told the front desk manager but being honest I doubt she’ll do anything about it! I will NEVER book there again!

Normally we stay here every year. But this year our room was not up to par. There was mold around the light socket, and you could see the water inside of the alarm on the wall. We had asked the front desk to swap room and they only had kings available. You would think that they would have house keeping come up and clean the mold, but they didn't we had to ask for a spray bottle to clean it. Then the fire alarm went off at 3am and you couldn't hear it from our room. You could only see the flashing light from the bathroom.
Pamela
Pool not accessible
We booked this hotel because of the indoor pool. The second we walked in, we were told the pool was closed for renovations along with the fitness center. This put a damper on the whole trip.
Regina
Highly do not recommend
When I first arrived we couldn’t check in because internet was down. Clerk told me to go down the street to Red Roof Inn. I informed him that I had already paid for three nights here and had no intention on paying again somewhere else. He then said I could probably get a refund if I came back in the morning. I offered to show my receipt and confirmation. He declined. I asked him to call a manager. He said he called and the manager said that there was nothing they could do. After a while another employee came and said he could check us in on his phone. We finally got in right before midnight! The room was ok. Housekeeping never came during our stay. Trash running over in the room. I had to ask a housekeeper on the hall for toilet paper and towels. The air conditioner in the room would not keep the room cool. I definitely do not recommend. Would not book again

Pool area was closed which is why I booked here for 3 nights. Didn't even stay 2 full nights. Want a refund for third night

I had to leave a tip for housekeeping!
My room was amazing and the environment was pleasant.

That night was our first night out in nearly 2 years. We chose your Wingate by Wyndham to celebrate because it's listed as a 3 star hotel. I deeply regret that decision. After our phone in the room didn't work I went downstairs to ask for the pillows I needed. He didn't react as if that was something that you fix here but told me he would get me the pillows. I went back up to shower before we went out and the towels were dirty. There was also hair in the shower and the and the sink. The dresser has a drawer that we had to wedge closed because it just kept opening up on its own while we were trying to get ready to leave and I didn't want to get clipped by it. This entire room is damp and has an odor. The bed linen feels damp also. And all of that was bad enough but then we met the little insects that have apparently booked our room as well and are staying with us. This room is not priced reflecting the roaches. The carpet is sticky, maybe because of the extreme humidity in there. This is outrageous, I would never have paid what I did for this room if I had known what I was getting into. I feel like I've been tricked and I truly did not expect that from the Wyndham brand. This is highly unacceptable.
I can be reached at the email below to resolve this situation. I have photos of everything.
The Wyndham brand has told me that I will need to contact Expedia regarding a refund. Please contact me as soon as possible regarding this.
Sincerely,
Melissa Parker

Elevator was broken, window had a huge crack, burn marks on the soap tray, overpowering odor-masking smell
Brittany
The room was great and had everything we needed but the breakfast definitely wasn’t anything to brag about.
Philip
Given a room with a/c broken as well as the phone
Sarah
Needs more light in room. Room has a weird stuffy smell but was clean. Breakfast was very limited. Overall would stay again but not with more than 4 people in a room. The rooms are not setup to sleep 5 people but Expedia showed it would sleep 5.

The pool
My husband and I stayed there because they have an indoor pool and we were not informed that it was closed when we made the reservation. That was basically the reason we stayed there. I recently had back surgery and my husband swims daily. Besides that everything was good.
michael
black mold around vents in bathroom

Stay elsewhere
The beds were in the ground! There was a box spring and a mattress. On the floor. The shower did not drain so you stood in water to shower. The pillows were hard and tiny. The whole place smelled musty.
Katherine
The rooms/common areas are tired and worn looking. But the staff is great, the room clean, breakfast fine. Only vending machines available other times.
Lisa
Broken pool. No notice Dont advertise a pool.
Call hotel to make me resernation whenever they disclose at the pool was unavailable.Even when you check in there's no signs that say the pool is not working.
Judy
Nice stay
Check in was easy, since I booked the hotel room through Hotels.com. The room was clean except the bathroom floor. It was waxy and our shoes slipped. I cleaned the floor myself with soap and water and that helped. We had ask the front desk to ask housekeeping for anything extra, like clean towels, extra kleenex and trash bags. Since Covid, I guess that is the way now.
Breakfast was decent. It's nice it came with our hotel price. Staff was very nice and helpful. Our stay was quiet and the area was secluded enough for that reason. There are a lot of restaurants around.
We would stay again if we ever came back.

Terrible hotel. Customer service is bad, purposely refused to assist with reservation changes. Keys frequently don’t work, and the staff has no interest in assisting. Hotel rooms are old and gross. Avoid this hotel!
Stephanie
Disappointed
swimming pool and hot tub were closed wrap. The bar had very little food on it no fruit no biscuits.
Julie
Clean, but that’s all…
Terrible smoke smell in our non-smoking room. I could tell something had been sprayed to try to cover the smell. But, it bothered me all night. Also, no water pressure in the morning for showers. I couldn’t wash the products out of my hair at all. The facility and room were clean, but that’s it. Very disappointed.

Loved it.

This hotel has obviously hit hard times. This is our third year there and we won’t be back. Breakfast was sad, WIFI was extremely slow, the hot water for tea was lukewarm three days in a row, the hotel had NO soap. One day they took all the towels and left none. They have bulk shampoo and conditioner in the tub (no body wash) that the housekeeper said they don’t refill anymore - and ours was empty. Why are they still there? Also, they send you a text asking if everything was ok, but when you respond they don’t answer. There are at least three other suite style hotels within 5 miles. We will be searching for a new one.
Peggy
Noisy plumbing in room bathroom. Weekend crew failed to leave enough continental breakfast for week day crew. Breakfast was extremely limited.
Michele
we stayed here for the ERAS Tour and it was great. Easy access to the interstate to get to the Super Dome and much cheaper than any room in the city.

Disappointed
The bed was firm and the hot tub was cold.

Was locked out room for hours and staff had no urgency about fixing the issue. We missed parts of our vacation because of this.
Jessica Jones
The property was alright, we was locked out one of our rooms for over 3 hours. That made us miss some of our vacation experiences. Our car keys, and clothing were locked in the room so could get food, wash nor change. They had no urgency about fixing the door neither. I wouldn't book hear again just because of that experience. But, as for everything else was fine.
Sheri
First of all, i called ahead of time to see if i could check in 2 hours early because i had to be dressed to go somewhere. I get there and she says that no rooms were available until 3. I explained that i called a few hours ago and I was told that i could check in early. So she gave me handicapped room on the 3rd floor. As soon as i stepped out of the elevator, an overwhelmed mildew/mold smell was everywhere. Got to the room, same smell. The bed was the hardest bed I have ever slept in in my 53 years. $156 for this King room. I've sleep better in bed at a hotel that was half this price. Needless to say, we didn't get any sleep and i will never stay at this hotel again.
Paula
The fridge did not work and we were not given the option to move. So we lost around $30 in food because we didn't have a fridge. There were no towels available for the pool area and when I asked what we were suppose to do they office staff just shrugged her shoulders. There was a water hose in the pool which was a contamination. The entrance smelled like cigarette smoke and austy odor this continued all the way upstairs to our room
I had to spray body spray in our room so we could handle the scent. The coffee that was served was barely warm the cereal on the breakfast bar was never restocked. They kept running out on feat for n the bar.
