The room was clean. The staff were very friendly and professional. They were also helpful in suggesting places to eat dinner. We would definitely stay there again.
dennis
The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable unfortunately the occupants in the room above 118 made lots of noise. It sounded like wrestling matches late into the night. We were ready to eat breakfast at 6:30 am but the staff had not completed setting up. It was just a minor thing but I though I'd mention it.
Robin

Great stay! The room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and I had a great night’s sleep. The water tasted great, which was a nice surprise. Overall, everything was clean, comfortable, and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again.
john
Nice hotel and people would definitly stay again
Naomi
The common areas and the room were clean and looked great. Check in was a chore (extremely slow) especially considering I had already paid on Hotel.com. All I needed was to show my id and get room keys, took no less than half an hour, and there was no one else in the building! Bed was comfortable. A/C was very noisy. Towels/wash cloths probably the cheapest, roughest I’ve ever seen.
Eric
Everything was great. Easy location to I-10 and I-12. No problems with parking or traffic. The location among other businesses is kinda odd but manageable. Clean hotel and good staff. We will be staying again.
JERON
The parking especially in front of the building. Not a lot of room.
Nelson
Clean room and excellent price.
Olivia

They did not allow pets and would not refund me for the reservation. I was unable to stay there and lost out on money I could have used elsewhere.
KATHLEEN
Great night of sleep, beds and room was nice. The overall hotel needs some work. Just looked old.
Annie
We have stayed here several times before leaving on a cruise out of New Orleans. Great location , clean and a good breakfast. All was great!
Gwendolyn
Staff was very nice and very helpful. Hotel was clean. Sleeping on the first floor you can hear the vacuuming upstairs and a lot of banging around in the early morning hours. No French Vanilla creamer for the coffee. Overall, I felt safe and the environment is welcoming.
Donna
We enjoyed our stay. We were glad to have a fridge, microwave and coffee pot. The beds were comfortable. We would stay again,
Tresa
Beds were so comfortable and staff could not have been any nicer. We arrived late, and Mary was gracious and patient with our very large group. The only criticism would be longer hours for breakfast.
Khowaja
Good hotel
Peter
Decent hotel for price.
Scott
Room smelled musty. No soap in the shower. Tiny towels.

Bathroom was missing conditioner. It was completely empty. At breakfast we have to request for more coffee and toaster wasn't working properly.

I hate New Orleans but we had to make a trip there for reasons not relevant here. We stayed in Slidell for a couple nights so we could get in and out of the area without dealing with the worst of the horrible traffic in New Orleans.
Hotel was clean and staff was nice. Parking lot is a bit tight if you have a large vehicle, but we were always able to find a spot. We didn't get a chance to check out the breakfast, but when we left early the coffee was already made (HUGE PLUS; thank you morning shift !!!).
The real gem was being just down the street (restraunt is on the same back street as the hotel) from a Mexican restraunt that is AWESOME!!! They have dine in & carry out (we dined in but there was so much food we took two FULL boxes of leftovers when we left). I don't think I've ever had better mexican food.
All in all a good stay.
**only suggestion would be for them to upgrade thier tv package. there wasn't much to watch when we were at the hotel and we had no desire to explore the area; wanted to get out of the crappy New Orleans area as soon as humanly possible**

The walls were so thin that I could hear the people in the room beside me getting it on and also talking about it. Also, people being able to smoke directly outside of the doors so I have to walk through it.
David M
Breakfast was marginal. Very small eating area.
Susan
The room and facilities were great! The breakfast was top notch. The late night worker was not very polite, but it could have been because she was very busy. Other than that we had a great stay!
Thomas
Felt catfished by the photos- which sucks because we do research to choose an ideal place to stay & in this case it felt random. The photos didn’t match the room. Theres no partition to divide up the room. There isnt even room to add one in my opinion. The room was basically a standard 2-bed room with a pull out couch awkwardly squeezed in. Felt very small for 5 adults. It’s an old hotel & I’ll give them credit that they are renovating/making improvements. The carpet & decorating was new. But it isn’t the new spacious bright hotel in the photos.
Lara
Just looks run down compared to how much they charged. Definitely not a $150 hotel. Carpets stained, wallpaper peeling, thin walls.
Allen
Kind staff, A/C squeaked all night, shower water stunk.
James
Staff was friendly. The property felt somehow updated but worn down at the same time

Sheila
The room was awesome, clean, spacious and the beds were very comfortable
Rebecca
Staff were courteous and helpful, room was clean, beds comfy, bathroom well appointed. Plenty of choices for breakfast the next morning. Walking distance to several restaurants. Easy checkout. Price was very reasonable and they offer cruise parking in the back lot. Would definitely stay there again if we cruise out of New Orleans in the future.
Lori
Staff was great. Power surge made it so the card reader would not make room keys so clerk had to let us in and out. Carpets are a little stained but overall clean. Ice machine on 2nd floor wasn’t working. Pretty basic hotel
Sean
There was a roach in two out of two rooms assigned so I left not having completed even one days stay, however the general manager refused to talk to me and would only refund half of the cost. I ended up having to leave the hotel 2 am and pay full price at another hotel for the full stay. I would never stay here or recommend this hotel. Very poor customer service.

It was nice.
It was nice. The room was clean but had a musty smell. For some reason, we had to unplug the TV to reset it(had guest services do it). Gym was small like closet size. The parking lot was clean and well lit. My only real issue was that breakfast was only served from 6:30-8:30am on a weekend.
Taneesha
Satisfied
The hotel was nice and clean for the most part and the staff was very helpful and friendly providing everything I needed.
Jerome
Overall the stag was good. The hotel seemed to have older decor and appears to need to be upgraded. The front desk attendant was very nice and accommodating.

Average at Best W
We arrived a couple of hours before check and asked if we could check in early. The attendant said there were no rooms ready and if there were early check-in room it would be an extra $50 on a $94 room. So surprised by both no a single room ready at that time at all(several hours after checkout time) and that cost vs room rate. Tho tired we went and walked around the old part of town and returned at check in time. The room was neat but had a bit of a chemical smell. We took a quick dip in the pool(smaller that the pic appears) and cleaned up went out to a scheduled dinner and then checked out and drove home.

- When booking through 3rd parties like Expedia, there is a $100 refundable fee.
- Room was clean enough, didn’t feel grimy or gross. There wasn’t any attention to details like lampshades or the like, but it was fine.
- Room smelled of old smoke even though the hotel is non-smoking.
- Halls and dining area were musty and gross.
- Staff was polite, friendly and patient

The bed was very lumpy, the toilet didn’t work properly and the tv was not coming on.

Everyone there was very nice and helpful. There was a problem with our original reservation and Mary helped us. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. We stayed two nights. We are on an extended trip and this was one of the nicer places we stayed.
Jose
Nice bed and they offer free breakfast
Robert
Nice place to stay.
Stephen
Interior designer faux pas, but otherwise GREAT!
Everything about this hotel was very, very good...Except...the closet curtain in all the rooms utilized a significant sized panel of a putrid green color that aesthetically made no sense with the primary colors of the room, and there was no other similar color in the rooms to warrant this application. Time to get another interior designer. Still, I would come here again because everything else was so good
Shelly
Would stay here again!
Hotel was clean. Breakfast was good. Room was clean. Everyone was very friendly and the location was great!
Celia
Everyone was polite and friendly

The property needs updated. Carpets in the hallway was dirty, Once you enter the lobby it smells musty. AC did not work well. Roi the staff when checked in was very friendly.

I spend much of my summers at Stennis Space Center, and every time I'm in the area, the Best Western in Slidell is my top choice. This hotel is clean, quiet, and very well-maintained — a true home away from home. What truly sets this place apart is the staff. Ms. Brittany, Ms. Mary, and recently Ms. Chris (I thing is his name) at the front desk are an absolute great: always welcoming, professional, and incredibly helpful. The staff goes above and beyond to make every stay smooth. The entire reception team, housekeeping staff, and breakfast crew are equally kind, attentive, and efficient. You can feel their pride in what they do.
Rooms are spotless and well-equipped with everything you need: strong Wi-Fi, great A/C, hot showers, comfy beds, and daily service. The breakfast is fresh, varied, and healthy, with 24/7 coffee available. The pool, gym, laundry room, and safe parking only add to the comfort.
Whether you're in town for business or just passing through, I highly recommend this hotel. It’s reliable, peaceful, and run by genuinely good people.

Robert
Greay stay. Very professional. Lady working the front desk was fantastic, friendly. A rarity in this world. Great place would stay again in a heartbeat.
Michael
Great stay for one night - clean room & convenient to New Orleans.
Ashley
Comfortable stay
It was a great stay. We did have a mixup with the room at first, but they quickly made the necessary corrections. We had a great stay, comfortable, and relaxing stay. We really enjoyed ourselves.
Kristy
The shower head had poor pressure, could use a vinegar soak, Grab a towel before you shower since they’re under the sink, Make sure you have charger blocks as they don’t have many USB ports as other hotels. I think there was 1 on the lamp on the Table by the window. Breakfast is only 2 hrs 6:30-8:30am Other than that Comfortable bed!!!
Jennifer
No complaints. It’s a typical Best Western. It’s easily accessible to New Orleans (less than 30 minutes) but away from the hubbub. Several chain food options nearby for kids who aren’t into the authentic Louisiana food. 15 minutes drive to a swamp tour.
We saved a ton of money by staying here instead of in New Orleans. We drove to New Orleans for the day and paid around $15 to park in a lot near the streetcar line. This cost much less than staying in the city.

I work summers as a contractor at Stennis Space Center, and every time I’m in the area, I stay at the Best Western in Slidell, LA — it’s hands down my go-to place. The recently renovated property is clean, cool, quiet, and incredibly convenient, with restaurants, shops, and everything you need nearby.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff — especially Ms. Mary at the front desk, who is professional, warm, and always helpful. The team overall is friendly and efficient, making every stay feel like home.
Rooms are spotless and consistently well-maintained, with comfy beds, hot showers, great A/C, fast Wi-Fi, microwaves, and fridges. The complimentary breakfast is excellent, with rotating options, healthy choices, and 24/7 coffee. The pool is also a refreshing bonus.
Parking is safe and plentiful, and the atmosphere is peaceful — perfect for both professionals and families. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Whether for work or leisure, Best Western Slidell delivers every time.

This was in a quiet part of town and was really clean. The breakfast was really good. The pool was nice and clean and my kids really enjoyed it.

I work summers as a contractor at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi, and every time I’m in the area, I choose to stay at the Best Western in Slidell, LA. There’s no question — it’s my go-to place. Not just because it’s a great hotel, but because it consistently exceeds expectations.
The entire property has been recently refurbished — clean, cool, and very quiet, making it a perfect place to rest after long days at work. It’s also incredibly convenient: close to restaurants, stores, bars, and practically everything in Slidell.
The staff is what truly makes this hotel stand out. Ms. Mary at the front desk is simply amazing — professional, welcoming, and always one step ahead of your needs. She makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The whole team is efficient, friendly, and accommodating.
Rooms are spotless and cleaned daily. I’ve stayed in many different ones throughout my weeks here, and all are equally well-equipped: comfy beds, strong and hot showers, reliable Wi-Fi, microwaves, fridges, and great A/C units. Everything works, and everything is well-kept.
The complimentary breakfast is one of the best I’ve had at any hotel — rotating menus with variety, healthy options, fresh juice, and 24/7 coffee available in the lobby. The pool is clear and refreshing, perfect on hot Louisiana afternoons.
There’s always plenty of safe parking, and the neighborhood feels secure and quiet. The hotel draws a great crowd — families, professionals, and fellow NASA/Navy cont

It seems very new hotel, perfect for those driving by. Bed was very good.

Everyone were friendly and very helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the toilet was very low. We are in our 70's and I have to wear a large knee brace. If the toilets need to stay this low then add a rail on either side. But other than low toilets the Best Western in Slidell was great

Staff was courteous, rooms were very clean, common areas were clean, bkfst was good, and parking was easy. Only off mark was the sink; kept backing up with sludge. It cleared up after 30 mins on its own.

Proximity to the things that mattered to me.
