This would be my last option. The ride was 39 minutes to the French quarter. There is a few gas stations and McDonald’s, Taco Bell and Wendy’s near by. Less than 3 blocks. Right off the interstate. The price is cheap but maybe not worth it if your visiting the French quarters daily.

The side door into the stairwell has no lock & the door into the lobby from the stairs was left propped open. The hallway smelled of urine & the lobby was very hot.

Our 1st room had a broken door handle, leaving us locked inside. We were moved to a room with: no working phone; crumbs on the floor; a smoke detector missing; mold on the ceiling; no body wash; no tissues; mildew in the toilet; dirt ring in tub; Summer's Eve bottle left in shower.

I brought all of this to the manager's attention the next morning. He assured me it would be taken care of. 45 minutes after waiting in the lobby, the only thing changed was

We would not stay here again. From the moment we arrived, the property did not appear very clean. The pool was green, and on Saturday night there was a noticeable cigarette smoke smell. The staff was friendly during check-in, which we appreciated, but overall the cleanliness and environment were disappointing.

Overall it was not a clean hotel. The details were lacking. Such as looks like there was a refresh of paint, they did not paint properly the old color is peaking out at the border of the walls. Our hotel room was not \"clean\". We checked the sheets and those were clean so we didnt complain but there were shoes left in our room, eye lashes left on the vanity, candy wrappers around the room, the room just did not feel clean.

We had breakfast at the hotel. It was hot in the lobby. The brealfast was good but the breakfast room was dingy, dated and was not clean. To be fair we did come right before closing breakfast

I stayed for 5 nights… didn’t have hot water not one night!!! Asked for my room to be serviced, and it never was! Went to the front desk to speak with someone, and my reply was” we’re sold out” , and I’m quite sure everyone is trying to take a shower or bath at the same time” as the reason. I am highly disappointed in my most recent stay. We had to change rooms because the first one has feces in and outside of the toilet. The second room had a slight order which I realized came from the air conditioner. There were not enough towels for all the guests, we had to turn in our towels and wait for clean ones. The side door was broken and was propped open all day and night. The breakfast if you could call it that was sparse at best. They brought out one tray of food for several waiting guests. The only good thing was the staff, although they were short handed tried. The desk clerk had to leave and clean rooms! I heard one guest beg her to just let her clean her own room!

The evening staff who checked me in the customer service was lacking. Im use to hotel staff who are welcoming, give directions to find elevators, and give breaktast and checkout times.
This is always given without asking but not this time. I had to ask where the elevators were. Im aware majority hotels breakfast & checkout times are the same. In the room the shower curtain was gone. When i called to tell same staff about the problem she just said that was weird. No im sorry about the inconvenience. I had to pick up the shower curtain at the front desk and put it up. The morning staff were friendlier.

It smelled so badly of weed that I got a contact high. The place was not well lit off the road and in a bad looking run down area. The front doors were open, people congregated by the doors smoking and letting that smell also come in the doors. It was not a very savory place to be, the restaurant was closed by the time I got there. Front desk guy was very nice everything else was very displeasing.

Assumed all Holiday Inn hotels had standards, that it couldn't have been bad even though it's in an ugly spot along the freeway. Well, our room had a very strong musty smell, so strong that I carried the smell in my hair/clothes after leaving the room. Fortunately I had a travel candle and some natural lavender mist with me so that helped.
Then, on our first morning there, at 8:15am someone came barging into our room EVEN THOUGH we had the do not disturb sign hanging on the door.
My husband and I were still in our sleep attire but could've easily been stepping out of the shower or undressed so this was unsettling. Plus they immediately slipped out the nearby side exit door (we were on ground floor) so at first we thought they were outsiders attempting to burglarize our room. Wasn't until my husband reported to front desk, security footage was viewed and he was told they were employees.
The women said they thought we had checked out, even thought we were booked for the following night as well. We felt really uncomfortable here after that incident. Took our valuables with us during the day while out because we didn't feel secure.
Front desk employee Charmaine was very nice, spoke with the manager (who we never met) but they didn't offer us any sort of compensation whatsoever because we'd booked 3rd party, with Expedia.
The place looks old and stale.

The first day when we checked in, gave us a room on the first floor. As soon as we open the the rooms door, we couldn’t help us notice. This smell a few humidity inside the room, the carpet was dirty, the fridge was all the way in the middle of the hallway entering the room, and the furniture that was holding the TV on top was broken with piece missing.

We went back to the front desk and they gave us a more decent room on the second floor.

The next day we woke up around 7:30 or 8 AM to go downstairs to eat. The dining area was very small and gloomy, very very lighting. There was no eggs left at the time of the morning and only one slice of bread left. There was nobody attending the breakfast area so we went to the front desk and they told them that there was no food left. So after that, they brought some burnt eggs out, but no bread.

We went back to the front desk to tell them that the eggs that they brought out were burnt and they told us that unfortunately they had run out of food and they didn’t have anything else to cook for breakfast. It was only 9 AM!

We had a few rooms rented because it was a big group and we were there all weekend for an event. Nobody was able to eat breakfast this morning at a hotel.

The second day the same scenario repeated.

We stayed from Monday nite and checked out on Friday, we did not have our trash emptied or clean towels at all! We had to request for this to be done then they just emptied the trash that we had already taken out and picked up the dirty towels. They did not make the beds nor did they even leave a roll of toilet paper. We had to go request that as well. The halls were not vacuumed the whole time we were there. We reserved 2 rooms online for our vacation stay. The reviews were good! I dont know where these people stayed but it wasn’t the same place we did obviously. The desk staff were polite that’s the only good thing I can say. Oh and the tub in the other room was super slow draining and the faucet leaked. Yes we did report it. Definitely won’t stay here again

Disappointing Stay – Not What We Expected from Holiday Inn

We were genuinely pleased with the housekeeping staff—both ladies who serviced our room were kind, courteous, and did their jobs with professionalism. Unfortunately, the positives stop there.

The room itself was a major disappointment. There was a hole in the floor between the two beds, which, although covered by carpet, posed a serious tripping hazard. Several times we nearly stumbled while walking in that area.

Additionally, every surface in the room—the nightstand, desk, and area under the TV—was covered in an extremely sticky residue. Anything we placed on them would come away tacky, which made us question the cleanliness of the space overall.

The breakfast provided was mediocre at best. The elevator was out of service for two of the three days we were there, which was very inconvenient. Even more concerning was the condition of the public men’s restroom on the first floor. It was non-functional for much of our stay—one stall was completely unusable due to being filled with waste, and the lights did not work at times. The condition was more in line with what one might expect at an abandoned gas station, not a major hotel chain.

We chose this Holiday Inn because of its reputable brand, expecting a standard of cleanliness, maintenance, and comfort. Sadly, our experience fell far below those expectations. We hope management will take these issues seriously and make the necessary improvements.

The hotel was older which I’m ok with but the property is not well maintained. The carpet smells awful like it took on water and was never cleaned and the fixtures are old and dirty. My room seemed clean at first glance but I found it in need of wiping down before I felt comfortable. The plumbing is poor, the toilet has to be flushed multiple times to rid it of its contents and the “hot” water only actually gets warm. I probably will not stay at this property again.

I came here with my boyfriend from out of town for Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Our room had dusty dressers/drawers, the air conditioner was blowing hot air and the phone didn't work. I had to use my cellphone to call the front desk to let them know. Thankfully they moved us to another room not far down the hall and it was better. Only problem is a couple of lights in the room weren't working and the next following day the tv didn't have a signal but luckily we left for the day. We decided to have the breakfast upon checking out and it wasn't all that. The biscuits were kind of hard and cold. The orange juice and cranberry juice tasted like water, so unfortunately we were left with drinking water with our breakfast. Another lady mentioned it and a lady changed it out but by that time we were already done. Trash was also overflowing, overall not worth it. The staff overall was kind and professional. The bed was comfortable but improvement is definitely needed here

The hotel is poorly maintained and has general dirt and could do with a coat of fresh paint. The rooms are expensive in comparison to other hotels that have better quality. While we were leaving two of the cleaning staff were have an argument that requires a supervisor to stand and deal with it. The breakfast was burned and of such poor quality we watched others try the cereal. All in all this is a waste of money.
