This had to be the worst hotel that I’ve stayed in the first thing it’s old and outdated. They do not advertise that’s this is an extended stay, dingy towels, I had to veg for toilet paper and wait for towels, brown wale water, coming out of the drains. Shower head looked like erosion over 20 years old I was terrified and when I tried to leave all my other choices were booked and it’s not that cheap of a price just horrible my family was upset and so was I.

It was absolutely great from check in to check out!!! Lady at check in, was an absolute delight!!! She greeted with a smile and already had the floor I requested ready! Got to the room the air blew extremely cold! Which in this heat was a plus to me! I experienced no noise from the people next to me! Bed was comfortable really didn’t wanna leave it! Lol! Clean tub no stained bottom! Clean room overall! When checking out a gentleman greeted with a smile and light conversation! Staff is great!!! Definitely would stay here again when I’m in Slidell!

This property is one of my favorites when I’m come in town because it’s like a mini home for us.. so if I need to stay at least a week it’s very convenient with lots of amenities for a great price.. The kitchen, The pool, the gym!! With so many options to eat from around the hotel.. love this place. Also, very quiet and clean.

Handicapped room was good but there was no chair in the bath tub. There were plenty of rails to hold onto in the shower but I have limited range of motion in my left knee and I could not get into the tub. Open showers are much easier to use than bath tubs ehen you have limited mobility. Otherwise, everything else was great.

There was an issue of a broken recliner that I needed to sleep in due to back problems. Maintenance person did not fix or replace recliner. We moved three times in order to get a working recliner and it was not functioning correctly.
Another point all of the three rooms none of the phones worked. When we reported this tp desk they acted surprised. If they cannot provide working phones we should be told. That is a dangerous situation.

We stayed one night as a stopover during a long trip, and the hotel met our basic needs perfectly. The room was clean and comfortable, which made it easy to rest and recharge before continuing our journey. Check-in was simple, and everything we needed for a short stay was provided. While it wasn’t a luxury experience, it was exactly what we were looking for—clean, convenient, and reliable. We would definitely stay here again for a quick overnight stop.

This property (Slidell 03/16) actually had a recliner in the room (408) that was a nice surprise. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was really loud and didn't seem to work. Even though we were next to the elevator, we never noticed it. The toilet was running slightly, so that needs attention.

Did not use the laundry. The floors were sticky, probably from cleaning product. There was no easy chair available, only an office chair and a straight back chair. One side of the bed did not have a nightstand. There was no tub mat and the combination of the soft water and provided Dove products made the floor of the tub very slippery.

The smoke alarm battery went out at 5:30 AM and woke us up with constant beeping. The heat didn’t work. It was 63° all night. We woke up with sore throats. And the television clicker remotes did not work. We couldn’t turn the TV off we could just turn the volume off down. The hotel itself was very nice if all those things had not gone wrong. The gal that checked us in was very nice. Just three strikes against it. I would not stay there again.

We arrived later in the evening after a long drive from Atlanta. When we arrived, there were no carts to carry up our luggage. However, the young lady at the front desk thought outside the box got us a solution and we were able to get everything upstairs. That was incredibly important considering I was not feeling well. We were very grateful for her assistance.

Keep your door locked.

The desk clerk on duty 9/2/25 evening, rented my room to another person. It was around 6:00 pm and I hadn’t locked the door. You can imagine my surprise while sitting at the table, facing the door, it opened and another guest walked in. Had this man arrived a couple of hours latter, after I had gone to bed, this mistake may have had tragic consequences.

Great property. I had an issue with checking in because the property front desk clerk, did not know the new system for Expedia and we waited over 30 minutes to an hour to get a room. The property couldn’t confirm payment. Did not like that.. everything else loved

Don’t get the room next to the elevators because you can hear it every time it moves. The room had a terrible odor, but after being in it for a few minutes you don’t notice anymore.

Very clean and the front desk is very attentive. We stayed here for a basketball tournament so the fact there are washer and dryer we could use helped us out tremendously with cleaning the girls uniforms daily

Good stay

I stayed for 6 days the staff was pretty friendly but you know there is always that one lol. But over all a great experience. Rooms were comfortable and had enough space for my family.

Not pleasant

I have stayed many nights at Candlewood Suites across the country. It is an extend stay hotel for many people.

Night one no water due to a line break...not hotels fault.

But the room smelled \"SO\" bad!! talked to the clerk at the front desk..they said they have many workers stay that don't request the room to be cleaned.

Plus there were socks, puzzle pieces, pens. markers under the furniture and lot's of dust!!

I was so impressed I actually got 3 family members to reserve for themselves and their families. Currently 4 rooms are now occupied here with my love ones. Linda, Kayla and Ash have been so helpful, professional and have gone above and beyond for myself and my family, the best customer service I have ever received and the best thing is, it all came with big smiles. I will book here going forward when I come into town. Shopping centers and dining places are within walking distance as well.

Excellent Stay and Experience

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The property is very well-maintained and looks brand new. The room, closet, and bathroom were larger than a standard hotel room and included a nice kitchen area. We appreciated the opportunity to have our dog stay with us. Be aware that there is a pet fee, which is understandable. This hotel was an excellent value compared to other properties we've stay at nearby. Would definitely stay here again.
