I had to stay here because the races were in town and there were no other hotels. The room was clean but dated and there was a huge gap under the door about an inch and a half. There were also ants all over the sink and floor probably from the gap under the door. I woke up to ants crawling on me in bed and I put towels under the door for the draft. The staff was very polite but I think a lot of the guests were a little unsavory. The ants really made the stay unpleasant.

For the price i shouldn't have expected much, the room smelt of old cigarette smoke. The ceiling in the bathroom by the toilet/shower was literally black in places cracked and looked like it could fall in at any moment. Be prepared to hear other guest at every hour of the night as if they are in the room with you.
Staff was friendly we didnt know there was a 50.00 per person cash only deposit needed when we checked in and thankful the front desk guy waved it. So we didnt have to pay the ATM withdrawal fee.
Overall for the price you shouldnt expect much more then what you are getting.
Thankfully the bed was decent and the sheets were clean.

This is the worst hotel ive seen in my life. Very dirty. The amount they charge it should look better. We didnt stay we luckily got another hotel. We wasnt even in there a 1 hour and left. Staff was VERY unprofessional!! You have to ring the bell for service because nobody is sitting at the front desk!! Rooms say no smoking you walk in smells like cigarettes. We had no phone in our room & the fire dector was cover with a bag.

Well you would have thought it was by the hours motel. Our riom. NON smoking smelled like a 2 pack a day smoker was there thr hour prior to our arrival No tv, the toilet had intermittently running water (ran twice) show well lets say you had to jump around to get wet. .

This was a disgusting hotel. Non-Smoking room that REEKED of cigarette smoke. Lamp shales missing. Bathroom was filthy. Entry door had a gap so big any rodent could’ve got in. Holes in the bathroom wall and also the hotel room. I can’t believe this has a national affiliation of any kind. I’m guessing they’re allowing many monthly stays.

The air filters in the ac were almost clogged solid and one bed had 12 different dirty marks on it and a long random hair on it the other bed appeared clean and i washed out the air filter and put them back in the unit

Should be a 2 star hotel- don't expect much.
Checked in at 3PM, the room wasn't ready, would be an hour. These things happen. Room was clean enough but it did not look like the photos online, much older and worn out. The toilet took 20 minutes to flush again, refrigerator was broken, the bed was big but very hard. No coffee in room and the breakfast option was cereal. The door lock didn't work. Didn't feel safe there, wont stay again.

Property set back in the middle of nothing. Pictures deceiving. The whole place from parking lot to rooms was disgustingly dirty and smelled like cigarettes and urine. We were in town for a funeral and no one i. our group was willing to put our nice clothes on the bed as it was visibly dirty. Sign in the lobby advised guests they only had 30 minutes from check in time to cancel their reservation, so that must happen a lot. Because I didn’t get the insurance, Expedia would not refund our money, so we lost hundreds of dollars. Everyone should beware of both this hotel and Expedia.

I rented a room via Hotels.com. Was supposed to be non smoking as my partner has astma and i simply cant stand cigarette smoke. The room smelled AGGRESSIVELY of smoke, and seeing the type of folx that were renting as well as the premises, i doubt theres a single room there that hasnt been smoked in. The room was quite disgusting, weird stuff smeared on the walls, mirror looked like theyd used a nasty old towl to \"clean\" it, the lampshade was smashed, burnt inscense sticks wedged behing the headboard, odd colored crap smeared on the bathtub.
We immediately went to the front desk and asked for a non smoking room. They said they had nothing else available, but offered a refund. Said all i needed to do was call expedia and let them know, that they would in turn call them and they'd give them the verification. I called first thing the next morning and they denied my refund even though we hadnt spent even 10 minutes there. Very angry at being lied to and ripped off.

I have NEVER been disappointed in a hotel I’ve stayed at before. I usually think of hotels as a little vacation away from home. Usually I enjoy them. Good thing this wasn’t my first hotel experience because I would have NEVER went to a hotel again.
This place is LOUD , sketchy, not the cleanest, I don’t feel safe in this area AT ALL. I’ve stayed at other hotels within Belton - no issues. I figured I might save a buck and see what this one was like.
I will gladly pay HUNDREDS of extra dollars a night to NEVER return to this hotel again.

Hotel was fine for being cheap. Pool wasn't open, and there really wasn't breakfast. It didn't affect our trip, but posting this in case important to others. Room carpet and fixtures were worn, but clean.

The check in process was great and the staff was very polite and friendly. Once I received my room key I drove to the back and was actually scared to take my 2 kiddos to the room. Extremely sketchy and lots of questionable people out on the balcony. Blinking property lights. We just left and didn’t care about a refund.

First no one was at the front desk and took forever for a response when I rang the bell. Second, the room was disgusting. Dead bugs in the room, flies, the wall by the bathroom was warped and moldy and definitely smelled like smoke. Also the sheets were stained,definitely slept on top of the blankets. Third, they were doing some kind of work on the room next to me at 8 pm. The laundry and ice facility was in shambles and breakfast wasn't out and ready when we left at 7:30 am.

The room smelled terrible like cigarettes smoke. The walls had gray plaster on them to fill in holes where towel racks had been previously. They were not sanded or repainted over. The beds were hard as a rock. The walls are paper thin, you can hear people in the next room plain as day.

We didn’t like it period. Room counter tops still had rings on them from earlier guest that had never been wiped clean. Toilet has some small spraying on you while sitting, sink had a large crack inside the dish well.
Ice machine had a large hinged door that a child could have reached in and handled the ice cubes. So we never took any do to safety. We will never stay here EVER AGAIN! 😡 😡

Parking lot was empty maybe three cars,once I mentioned that I had a service animal and papers in hand for her..he asked to see my ID and then says no rooms available for service animal, okay I advised I booked 3rd party, I'm going to be refunded ASAP.. 3 days later no refund and the property will not answer the phone for Hotels.com....

The pictures do not tell the real story. It seems that the owners of the property know it will only get low prices so they don’t go out of their way to clean. Loose toilet seat, smelled of pee, beds had dust and other things on them, carpet was unwashed and had toe clippings.

From the start, the front desk clerk was rude. When got to the room we had several cockroaches waiting to greet us. The carpet was dirty. One wall had blood smeared on it. The dresser was busted. The toilet was not clean. There were small beetles beached on the edge of the toilet. The sink was cracked leaked water at the base. The was loud music from three opposing directions. We left early. When we told the clerk of the issues he said \"Okay, no problem\" repeatedly as pointed to a poster draped over the desk as he insisted that I scan some QR code for points so I could stay there again. There is ZERO chance that I would do that. This app will not allow me to upload the photos that I have.

The pillows were flat and the room carpet was wet so we had to wear shoes to keep our feet dry. No bugs but they must have a mouse issue because we found a trap in our room. I liked the location relative to the interstate. It ends there. The staff spoke minimal English, there were blood stains on the floor, bugs in the beds, the shower/tub was grimy. All the wall plugs were a bit sticky as well.
Also, some might see the constant police presence as a good thing. No, that’s because there’s drug use and prostitution at this place.
There are other options at this price that are so much better. There’s even cheaper options that would’ve been better.

I was in town for a family event and so I stayed only needed to stay one night. I was in Room 116
Positives:
bed sheets were clean, mattress was comfortable, bathroom sink, and toilet was clean. Had amenities (hair dryer, refrigerator but since I did not use these, I don't know if there were any problems. TV worked. No mold on shower curtain. Old chain locks but they worked. Heater AC worked.

Before even traveling we knew our options were slim and found out that Taylor Swift would be in town on our selected days. This hotel was basically our only option. I reserved 2 rooms at a rate of $108 per night for a total of $235.04 per room. We arrive to check in. I did not ask the price because I already knew. The guy at the “desk” processed my payment for $414.36. When I asked why he said that what he saw on his end was $180/night. He refused to honor my reservation and basically said reserving on Expedia doesn’t guarantee the rate and he can’t see my reservation even after I gave him my name and he pulled it up the rate he saw was different. He said they had no way to change to reservation to honor the quoted price. So we obviously did not pay that rate for this low rated hotel. This is not a hotel we would typically stay at but the way the issue was handled is what solidified the decision of never returning and promoting the negative review.

I have stayed at this hotel several years ago and while it is an economy hotel, at least it was clean. I can’t say the same about this stay. The bathroom floor, though mopped earlier in the day, was dirty. An attempt had been made to clean the mirror but it was so streaked that I had to dampen a washcloth and wipe it to be able to see myself clearly. One bright spot was that the bed was reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was supposed to be 6 to 9 AM, but when I went just before 7 AM nothing was available. The clerk was just beginning to set up. The chairs were still upside down on the tables. The next time I’m in Belton, I’ll stay somewhere else.

First time we've stayed at an Econo Lodge. Appreciate the fact that you can park right outside your door. Was really disappointed that a Non-Smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke. Disappointed customer ! I stayed here for a few days the toilet leaked in room 121 i informed management wen i went and paid for the room . No one ever came to check it out . The bathroom didnt shut all the way so it can easy be pushed open . My 1 yr old daughter happen to go in there it caused her to slip it bust her head and she took a chunk out of her tongue . Room was clean but rough. Tub has stains. Fridge has dents . Outside was a lot of traffic like drug dealings happening. Hundreds of cigarette butts and trash just outside our door. I checked a dozen times to make sure our car wasn’t stolen. Our door closed and locked and still I could easily see light through a large gap between door and frame. Parking lot at times had a car with two people just sitting there car running with lights on. When I opened our room door to look out it appeared to make the cars people nervous and they would leave only to come back later and do the same car running with the two inside again. We did not feel safe. I would definitely not recommend a stay at this motel to anyone. The online site looked like a nice place so I booked the room but once we arrived at the room I knew why the room was $70.
