Italiana Hotels Florence was a very enjoyable place to stay. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and well organized, making our visit to Florence relaxing and smooth.

The included breakfast was a great bonus and made our mornings easy and convenient. We also appreciated the free parking, which was very helpful and practical. The staff were great, friendly, professional, and always ready to assist. Overall, a wonderful experience and a solid choice for anyone visiting Florence.

Very convenient to get a bus to Florence historic city. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel.
Entrance outside the hotel does not look nice. The Front desk area is okay. This is an old hotel in need of renovation. Breakfast is good. Not special.
This hotel did not meet my expectations.

Okay stay for the price paid. Positives were the free self parking and decent location, close to the highway to avoid Florence’s chaotic traffic. Breakfast buffet was okay for the hotel category. The staff was friendly and responsive to our requests. Overall a good value for Florence.

really far away from center, only bus can go there, and the bus is never on time, waiting time for a bus is about 30 mins, takes another 30 mins to go into town.

The room is noisy, you can hear all the neighbors and corridor.

nice thing is they have their own parking, maybe it is easier for people who drives

I would not recommend staying here if you are going to bring food back to the hotel. They do not offer a microwave, also asked for an iron and it was never delivered to my room. The front desk staff is rude. The only good thing about this hotel is the breakfast.

On the website it said that there was a laundromat and there was not. No AC ? No safe working or refrigerator working in room. Only one staff member spoke the minimum English . No room service available. I checked out earlier, lost a day , so I can go to the crown plaza due to the fact that 2 rooms were broken into and had their computers stolen. I felt unsafe and did not have my room cleaned my whole stay. I couldn’t change my booking because it did not allow me to on the app. Will not recommend this place at all.

We booked with expedia and booked for the pool, there was no indication the pool was closed for the winter season. We specifically booked it to relax by the pool after many days on the road, and it was super hot that day.
We then arrived to our room and the air conditioning had been shut of for the off season as well, the windows opened but we were then eaten alive each night by the mosquitos.
The breakfast was good.
There is no access to ice or an ice machine in the hotel, they sent us to a bar down the road to get some. no food at all or snack machines.The bar and restaurant were also closed for the season.

Where do I begin with my feedback, I will try to list all the issues:
1. Hostile and unfriendly staff.
2. Dark and dingy rooms with minimal lights.
3. The key card would not work at the end of the day each day of our stay coz as per them \"the cleaning lady uses her card, so your card will not work\" and they are not apologetic about any inconvenience they cause by saying - you are not the only one.
4. The breakfast staff stopped us from filling my son's water bottle in the morning even when we bought breakfast package for all four of us for three days.
5. Staff wouldn't let us heat our food from outside due to \"safety reasons\". We were there with 2 young kids and there was no empathy.
6. There was tea kettle in the room but only sugar packets, no tea/coffee to help us. Even after constant reminders, they would not provide the tea bags.
7. There was no shampoo/conditioners in the bathroom. They only had the Gel wash bottle which is attached to the wall of the bathroom. When asked front desk for shampoo, they said it is what it is in your room.

So overall, pathetic stay. No wonder they dont have the room pics in their hotel page. Expedia should revise their ratings for this hotel so as not to misguide Expedia members into booking such pathetic hotels.

The area is OK, about 15 minutes in car from center. The building is not in good shape, hotel needs to keep common areas clean, fresh and smelling like a hotel. The carpets, walls, doors, baseboards and overall shape of the building is terrible, even disgusting. The interior room is somewhat better. The wifi is bad service for work or streaming. Staff was OK but they took too long to check us in.

This hotel was off the beaten path. I felt like we were on the “wrong” side of the river. An Uber to anything in the city center was a long ride (30 minutes) and expensive. The hotel itself was clean and staff were friendly. The pool was nice and so was the restaurant.

The room had a good size, the main plaza is about 30 minutes by bus which the bus stop is right outside the hotel. The breakfast was very good, it had a coffee machine to make your own coffee and it had a pool which I didn’t have time to use…

Italiana Hotel is a family-friendly environment. The staff is very nice and ready to help. Love the location, the neighborhood is wonderful with a big grocery store and two bus stations that facilitate going everywhere. The only thing that wasn't very good for me is the bedroom is very dark, the hallway is dark and has old carpet in. Tv doesn't have cable and the antennas do not have local channels. So if you like to relax and watch tv without logging in on your own Netflix, Youtube, etc account that will not happen. Breakfast is great but if you stay over 10 days, you will find yourself tired to have the same. I suggested modifying it a little.

We chose to stay at Italiana Hotel Florence because we did not want to stay near the pedestrian zone since we had rented a car. Parking was easy with a bus stop right next to the hotel. A 15 - 20 minute ride takes you to the heart of Florence which is easier than trying to find parking. You can purchase tickets easily through the app or on board the bus. Our beds were comfortable and the bathroom spacious. The wifi was a bit slow, but after exploring the city we were too tired to use it anyway. This was an easy choice and I would definitely recommend .

WORST HOTEL. Do not stay at this hotel. Staff are rude, was given two rooms. One had someone asleep in and the other peoples stuff in. Any issues I had I was told by staff that it was not their problem. No apology throughout my stay. Bathroom was dirty and disgusting. Managers attitude was poor and unprofessional, they do not offer any apology or drinks as a way to say sorry. Went away for my anniversary and they made the trip very stressful! Can not stress enough do not stay at this hotel, worst hotel and staff I have ever come across!

Rude receptionist girl called Sara, who met us with first looking at us up and down and then trying to rip us off by saying that the double room costs €14 more that a twin room, which has later been confirmed by another member of staff that the price for twin and double rooms is identical. One the bath towels in the room was so worn out that you could actually see through it. In addition, when the towel was unfolded it had some black threads on it as of it fell on the floor prior to being folded. There was no complimentary kit in the room which is rather odd for a 4 star hotel. When we complained about the receptionist and the overall service, a member of staff just said that he was sorry we did not like it and did not even us a discount.

Hi hotel was lovely and clean, breakfast was a lot more than expected loads of choice coffee fresh orange cold breakfast plus hot so was very good ,rooms cleaned daily,fresh water in fridge everyday added bonus, receptionists very pleasant spoke very good english, and even gave us advice were to eat out at night which was reasonable, and very good, quality would I recommended this hotel yes and yes.
they even have a large pool which is very good for familys as well, bus service just outside hotel so easy access to Florance, so what is there not to like?.

I chose this hotel specifically because it offered a pool, gym, and laundry facilities. The gym was closed due to broken equipment and the laundry services were unavailable. The hotel look and felt run down. The Air conditioning was either on full blast freezing or off and the room roasted. The bed and pillows were hard, and the towels were rough. Everything was of poor quality. Very disappointed with our stay.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip. Meeting was in the hotel. Hotel is dated and needs renovation. Rooms were dated but clean. Toilet was dated by clean. Linen requires change, they were not of a good quality but clean. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. Service during breakfast can be slow. Reception staff is friendly. AC took slightly longer to cool the room but it worked fine. Door needed a strong push/pull to close, twice it happened I left my room and the door did not lock.

Will not recommend to stay here if you are on holiday, although saw many families staying here, mostly Italians probably with their own cars. Taxi to centre takes 15-20 minutes.

Next time for business, I would be ok to stay here for 1-2 days if don’t find any other options nearby.

Pool and free parking were the only nice things about this Hotel. The condition of hotel itself was horrible. There was mold throughout. Our room was full of mold, toilet did not flush and no wifi signal. We asked to leave as we were so horrified at the state of the room. They refused a refund. So we asked for a new room. 2nd room was a tad better but still smelled of mold. We tried the restarunt for supper. Such bad service. We waited 35 for our order to be taken and she wouldn't take the drink order she wanted the food order. Waited another 15 for her to take the drink order. 45 min later the food comes still no drinks. Drinks came 5 min after the food and the water bottle had a flim of dirt around the top! Gross. I would not recommened this hotel.

It was a terrible experience in terms of customer service. I arrived at the check-in time however the room was not ready. I was first asked to wait for 20 minutes and then 10 more minutes and then further 5 minutes however the room was still not ready post waiting for more than 45 minutes. After a point, the hotel staff said that they are giving the room key as they do not know whether the room is even ready or not. I asked for 2 keys as I was traveling with my wife however the staff said that they are running out of keys!!! How can that happen with a hotel!! I have traveled a lot however this type of behavior from hotel staff is first of a kind for me. When I checked in to the room, there were hair on the table, AC socket was broken, missing coffee machine, etc. It was a very bad experience and I won't recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed here during our honeymoon, overall it was a good experience. The staff are friendly especially at the restaurant/bar.
There is a bus about 15 minutes to the centre of Florence which was really helpful as we did not have to drive, the hotel has free parking.
The major annoyance was the cleaning service, they just entered our room twice without knocking, and they did not even clean our room in one incident.

Our flights got cancelled and we weren’t going to make check in so I called the hotels.com rep and they confirmed with the hotel we could check in for our final of 3 night stay with no issues. We arrived and the front desk said they didn’t get a call and gave away our room and there were no other rooms available for us. At 10:30 at night!! While he did call another hotel to see if they had a room it was 180$ a night and wouldn’t help us beyond that.

The hotel is very good. The staff are very friendly. The restaurant staff and the chef were amazing as they cooked dishes that were not in the menu for us (we were vegetarians). The staff at the reception doubled up as a guide and gave excellent advice on how to sight see Florence. Overall it was an excellent stay. The only problem is the commute from the hotel to the main places of attraction. It is anywhere from 10-20 mins in cab (19-25 Euros) or over 35-40 mins by bus. Take the commute aside, hotel, amenities, staff and service was excellent and we had a lovely comfortable stay.

Had to make some last minute booking. Wasn't too impressed with the reviews. Someone posted that you can ask for an Iron and they will keep saying we will bring to your room. Exactly the same experience - Contacted 3 times and everyone we were informed that the staff is locating an iron and eventually no acknowledgment. Plus - Good breakfast.

Had to change rooms because the first room’s bathroom was very mouldy and generally in need of maintenance. Service was pretty terrible and the flies during dinner were very offputting! The hotel is not well managed and we had a variety of problems during the stay, including over the bill at checkout!!

The hotel is a 15 minute bus ride into Florence and the number 23 and 31 buses stop right outside. Staff are helpful and the breakfast is nice. Pool is not open in May. Room was ok but noisy as it overlooked the main road. The hotel receptionist kindly relocated us to a room at the rear of the hotel, which was much quieter. Beds in both rooms were two large singles. Air conditioning was not working in either room in May, so it was hot at night as windows needed to be kept closed to keep out traffic noise.

A little far from the center city, cabs charge btw 18 to 27 euros 🤔.
First night was excellent!!!
Following day had mosquitoes in the room, did not put clean sheets and did not change towels.
To go breakfast was packaged toast and yogurt which was not good. But dine in breakfast was excellent wish they would have told us before.
But for the price it was good!!!

Excellent reception staff, really friendly and helpful. Good to be slightly out of the city - bus is really cheap and easy to master. Really good neighbourhood. Room was light and airy with views across to the hills. Really enjoyed our stay.

Wi-Fi is horrible, dirty towels

Not a 4 star hotel at all. They told me they would fix the wifi but until I leave, nothing has been changed, on the last day, my room did not get cleaned til 3:30PM, I called the house keeper, they just did very rough. Breakfast has less choices. Never experienced a 4 star hotel like this.

Receptionists very friendly, good english and very helpful. Room was lovely, clean and comfy. Can get the bus into Florence right across the road, very convenient and also free parking. Nice breakfast, lots of choice. Would recommend a stay here!
