We stayed in room 501 and the bathroom floor looked like it had Not been cleaned since the pandemic. The bathroom area way too small and the tub is built for a child.
Our room needed MAJOR updating.

Hotel was ok. Room was a bit dated and smelly. Bathroom was comically small, shower would splash all over the place. Bathroom sink was tiny, no place to put anything, however the room was pretty large with a lot of unused space. Bed was comfortable and clean. Great breakfast

Good offering of amenities, however there are two pools and both are cold. Spa area is nice but pool was not heated, jacuzzi has little water and is somewhat dirty and spa showers are not working properly.

Looks great in photos - not so lovely in real life! Aside from the reception the hotel has an industrial look, and my husband felt like the floors the rooms were on looked like a prison! The room was functional and the bed was comfortable. However the seating was covered in stains and the bathroom looked old and tired. The restaurant was only open for breakfast, which meant having to go out to get food. It was either a 40 minute walk into town - not good in the weather we had or a taxi. The breakfast was pretty much a continental with scrambled egg thrown in. It was opposite the sea and on a good day the walk into town was pleasant enough.

Bad choice. Lesson learned.

There is some serious management issues.

1. Friday morning; there is no fork on tables or anywhere in the breakfast area and just one staff is trying his best to serve guests. Lack of staff and preparation. During our stay, we noticed that you need to wake up really early to have breakfast, and they move everything out on cut off time; including water and coffee.

2. Hotel staff speaks english but they are tend to favor spanish speaker guests. I feel like non-spanish speakers are not welcomed. You line up to ask a question, or simply check in/out and you see that someone cuts the line and staff just simply ignore you and talks to that spanish speaker person. Rude!!

3. Outdoor pool is not clean; you see bugs, hair etc in there.

4. Room was very clean, and well taken care of. Comfortable but no complimentary water or anything at the hotel. Get ready to pay 5 USD for a small water.

5. Location is so remote. There is nothing around the hotel. You need taxi or a rental car to go to town or ferry and get ready to rip off by taxi drivers or the hotel. The hotel staff called a taxi for us and a private car showed up with no meter and you just need to pay whatever the driver says and forget about fair currency exchange. They rip you off.

This hotel does not deserve to be a wyndham hotel. Poor service. There is no way we could go back to this hotel.

The location is very nice, (1.6 miles, 3 kms from downtown.)
Check in and Check out where very expedite.
The staff is very cordial and ready to assist on anything you need.
There was a door under the sink which was broken and needed some repair. That was the only unconviniet issue we had during our stay.
We had a wonderful stay!

Outstanding Stay in Beautiful Colonia

The hotel is very nice, the pool, sauna, gym, and ability to rent bicycles for the day really made the trip. The staff for more than helpful on every occasion, going out of their way to accommodate our every need. The only drawback was that the stove in our sweet was not operational, but the room service was on point. It also seemed a little difficult to sort out the fact that we paid for our stay ahead of time, but this can tend to be a problem when staying in some countries in South America in general.

Excellent hotel but far from centre

The hotel is new and offers everything you need - nice, large rooms, a decent spa, excellent service from staff. The main caveat is that it's a good 3km from the centre of town, so you need to walk for some time to get to the main attractions in Colonia. On the flip side, it is a beautiful riverside walk down the Rambla (or jog if that's your thing) and I believe the hotel also lends out bikes although I didn't do it. Overall, recommended for a comfortable and pampered stay in Colonia!

Also be aware that you are best off paying in USD or card for the room (Uruguayan has a ridiculous exchange).

Nice riverside modern hotel with great views.

Great location, right on the riverside. Not far from downtown. Very big room, tiny bathroom. (could hardly move in there.Why couldn't the room be a bit smaller and the bathroom a bit bigger?). Good sheets and towels quality. Simple dinner menu. Average breakfast buffet. Nice, clean indoor pool area although the pool could also be a bit bigger and the relaxing area a bit smaller. (Again, strange use of space).

Fotos não correspondem a realidade, quartos simplórios, mal conservados, frigobar não gela. Quem sonha em tomar banho em banheiro de avião, pode gostar, o tamanho é igual, a diferença é que no Dazzler a água que sai do chuveiro espalha e empossa no chão. OBS. Varandas não tem privacidade (ligadas no vizinho) e vidro não tem proteção de barulho (local com muito barulho de carro e motos a noite). Enfim, não indico e nunca mais voltarei!

Hotel grande e confortável embora o banheiro seja ridiculamente pequeno pelo tamanho dos quartos ( que engenheiro ou arquiteto planejou isto?). O quarto de frente para o rio acaba sendo barulhento e o banheiro é com banheira. Troquei para um quarto de fundos e preferí pois além de ser mais sossegado o chuveiro era com box e sem banheira ( um tequinho maior). Muito Bom café da manhã. Jantamos uma noite no hotel e gostamos. Vá jantar em Las Liebres ( muito bom para se hospedar lá também)

Quarto com cheiro ruim vindo dos ralos da pia da cozinha. A cama muito ruim, macia demais e parecia ser muita velha/usada. O isolamento acústico do quarto para a rua era muito ruim, escutava todos os veiculos que passavam na rua. O café da manhã era muito bom. Péssimo custo benefício.

Pouco conforto para um quarto grande. Achei as camas duras, somente um espelho pequeno no banheiro. Fomos em 3 pessoas e somente tinha pratos/copos para 2 pessoas. Não fizeram questão de nos atender bem.

La habitación preciosa, la limpieza buena, lo único malo era el olor a caño que habia al entrar no sé si seria la pileta del dormitorio o del baño. La piscina linda pero el agua media fria ,apenas tibia . Lo que me molesto bastante fue que me cobraron el dolar a 50 pesos estando a 42 . 3500 pesos por 2 dias una mascota pequeña cuando me dijeron que una noche eta de cortesía, pero con el dolar a 50 pesos no hubo noche de cortesia.

Boa localização, lindo pôr do sol

Apartamento muito confortável, estilo apart, mas sem utensílios de cozinha e possibilidade de usar forno e fogão para quem deseja cozinhar. Café da manhã ainda com restrições por causa da Covid, atendentes que servem e fica um pouco limitado. De frente para o Rio da Prata, com lindo pôr do sol e piscinas gostosas.

La ubicación del hotel es en un lugar hermoso.
El personal es sumamente agradable.
El hotel es muy lindo aunque se nota que hace falta mantenimiento en algunas cosas, el baño de la habitación sobre todo.
Las toallas están viejas, incluso algunas ya deshilachándose.
No hay batas disponibles para acceder al spa y piscina lo cual es incómodo.

Accueil froid au check in du réceptionniste prétendant ne pas avoir ma réservation. A réussi à nous trouver une chambre au même tarif ... Hôtel situé dans un quartier pavillonnaire avec des aboiements de chiens quasi toute la nuit venant du voisinage. Un spot se déclenchait par intermittence à partir de 2h du matin éclairant toute une façade de l’hôtel dont les baies vitrées n’ont pas de stores ....

Já estive algumas vezes em Colonia e a experiencia no Wyndham foi única, nunca mais volto! A vista é linda mas o estado do quarto me surpreendeu negativamente, estava sujo, paredes sujas e arranhadas. Pelo preço esperava um pouco mais de cuidado e um atendimento impecável!

Foi reservado dois quartos para uma família com dois filhos. foi solicitado na hora da reserva quartos conexos.
Nosso pedido não foi atendido e para piorar a situação os quartos eram no mesmo andar porém um deles era acessado pela parte externa do hotel. Ficava totalmente funerável e como estávamos no inverno tinhamos que passar numa área externa que sentíamos frio e nos dias de chuva ficavamos molhados. Fizemos várias vezes a tentativa de trocar esse quarto da área externa. Informaram que o hotel não era proprietário de todos os quartos do prédio e por isso não tinham quartos disponíveis.O café da manhã era sofrível e o banheiro era micro sem conforto algum. O único ponto bom do hotel era o tamanho do quarto.

Muy lindo hotel. Un poco alejado del barrio histórico. Pero sobre el Río. excelente para pasar unos días de descanso con su excelente área de recreación. Las habitaciones son enormes y tiene frigobar de bienvenida gratis un gran detalle.
Lo único a mejorar un poco más es el desayuno un poco desordenado y falto de vajilla.
Por lo demás excelente en todo.

Tiene una hermosa vista y balcones amplios. Muy luminoso. Pero el loby casi no existe y es helado. La habitacion que nos toco es tipo departamento a la que se accede por un pasillo al aire libre. No tiene placard y el baño es muy pequeño. Muy poco personal, muy amables pero no dan a basto con la capacidad de huespes.

Questoes básicas do hotel sao boas porem o quarto tem falha inaceitavel . Os quartos com ¨vista para cidade ou seja de fundos ¨do predio tem acesso depois do elevador no 6o piso aberto . Isso no inverno causa incomodo pelo frio que se sofre no acesso aos quartos . O pior de tudo ainda nao e isso... o pior e que com o vento e por ser no lado externo as portas e janelas dos quartos ficam batendo o tempo todo e se torna impossivel dormir ou descansar sem o ruido da porta batendo com a acao do vento . As demais condicoes do quarto sao de boas ate excelentes mas o ruido a noite das porta e janelas batendo e insuportavel . Lamento que um hotel desse porte tenha quartos com tamanho problema .
