We stayed here twice during our visit. We stayed two days, traveled to Buenos Aires via ferry, and returned for an additional night. We chose this hotel because it was conveniently located, and they allowed us to keep our rental car parked in a parking space directly in front of the hotel that was monitored by a security camera. We were able to store the bulk of our luggage in the trunk and leave the rental car while in Buenos Aires. It was very convenient to walk to the ferry terminal from this location.

The hotel staff was amazing. We would like to particularly highlight how helpful Ignacio (“Nacho”) was in providing restaurant and excursion recommendations in Colonia del Sacramento, as well as advice for our onward journey to Punta del Este. Since we only had one night upon our return and needed to have clothes washed for our onward travel, Nacho and another staff member who works overnight washed and dried our clothes and had them folded before breakfast.

The breakfast options were great, and it was a nice touch to have complimentary limoncello and a homemade dulce de leche liqueur available in the lobby lounge area for guests to enjoy.

We will definitely stay at this hotel again when we visit Uruguay.

Clean room. Wonderful breakfast. Great location, walkable distance to the old port. But the staff was the most memorable. They were friendly, professional, helpful and arranged transportation for us. Kept our larger bags overnight when we ferried over to Buenos Aires, even though they knew that when we got back we would be moving on. We really can't say enough good things about the staff and the Posada

Very nice location in Colonia, right by the old city. Had some very nice spaces. The staff were very friendly and provided great recommendations. The pool was small but nice. A bit cold, but welcome since the weather was hot. Very good breakfast options.

The hotel is located within walking distance to the ferry port and close to all points of interest in town. It is also close to many restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is very welcoming. The lobby has comfortable seating areas and a cozy fire for cool winter days. My room was modern, clean and comfortable. The best part of this property is the staff. Everyone I encountered was welcoming and friendly. They made every effort to ensure that my needs were met. I recommend a stay at this property if you find yourself in town!

This place was fine, nothing extraordinary to report. We reported a pump noise which woke us up the first day, they changed our room but we continued hearing it. The front desk employee said he had reported it already and that the owners were going to look into it. Nothing happened as a consequence. Sadly, we will not be returning to this place as there are plenty of very good options around. Colonia is beautiful, though.

Great location, close to all the main places but in a quiet area of town with space to park. Friendly and efficient staff. The main area is very nice, with art and plants. Room was outdated, dark, musty. Old and noisy air conditioning, no plugs by the beds. Good shower and mattress.

Had to take the ferry from Colonia to BA this trip. The savings instead of taking the Fransico almost pays for the night but not really

But Colonia is a beautiful little town and well worth visiting. We had just the afternoon there but was a great break for us

Hotel is calm with song birds in the trees. Bed was truly excellent. Nice tea set up in the den area and very well situate to walk the old town or to the ferry or bus Terminals. We enjoyed it a lot!

This is a very special hotel. It is small and intimate with a very welcoming staff. Immediately upon entrance I knew I had made a great decision. The laid back ambiance, the earth tones, the balcony, the thoughtful but unique physical layout and even the other guests all combined to make Posada Boutique Las Terrazas a very special place.

It's a very small hotel, the bed was small (not a king size). At check in which was around 8:30 pm we asked for late check out and say there was availability but for an extra charge. We said we were arriving late and since they have availability they can let us stay for free. The lady said it was not her fault we were arriving late. The next morning there was another lady and was very nice and let us stay until 1.

I don't know what is with hotel lately, they want to charge extra for early check in and also charge for late check out, but they never give you money back when you arrive late or leave early.

Gorgeous little hotel right in the center of town makes exploring Colonia a breeze. One of our party became quite ill over the course of our travels, and the two women at the front desk were so helpful in calling a doctor to take a look at her. As a bonus, the doctor came to the hotel to see our friends and the cost of the visit was free. We are so so grateful to the staff at Las Terrazas!

We enjoyed a pleasant stay at this small hotel. Our room was on second floor overlooking trees and the street with a small balcony. No street noise but could hear the door of adjacent room and conversations in hall. The lap pool in the garden was perfect for my use. Decent continental breakfast in nice public areas. Paula at the front desk was exceptionally helpful, all the staff maintain it nicely.

This is a super cute boutique hotel walking distance from the ferry and tourist attractions. The staff did not speak English, but they were very friendly and with Google translate they helped us contact the rental car agency so we could get our car. There is free parking right in front of the hotel. Very cute decorations, one lane infinity pool, garden atmosphere. The online check-in they asked us to do when we got there was hard to use, or maybe just broken, but I guess we got enough information into it. They had a nice cold breakfast that was free with the room.

Pleasant stay in Colonia

All was great, except the breakfast was somewhat disappointing to me. The location is very convenient for seeing the old part of town, but probably not so convenient for the beaches (which were not on our 'visit for sure' list). Also, they are doing the right things for the environment, it is attractive, and well designed. We didn't see an elevator, but we were easily able to climb the stairs to our room.

This was one of the nicest small boutique hotels we have visited. The people were exceptionally friendly, cooperative and went out of their way to be helpful. It was very close to the old city of Colonia Del Sacramento which saved time and expense of travel. The atmosphere was friendly and family like. It offered many conveniences and the breakfasts were substantial. I would highly recommend it. A real gem.

Colonia is an absolutely delightful town with the Posada being in an almost perfect location: midway between the main street and the many sights. It's small but you don't want a large hotel in a place like Colonia, though they exist a mile or two north. The room is rather small but adequate, with personnel and breakfast both quite nice. I'd definitely stay here again.

Ideal location, walking distance to ferry terminal and historic centre. No need to ever take a taxi anywhere. Small, pleasant courtyard and pool. Very comfortable bed. Room was very small but well-equipped, quiet, and clean. Downstairs rooms had small windows, though – not sure about upstairs. Would have liked coffee or water boiler in room as well as a desk (I work while I travel). Wifi worked well in room. Excellent staff, they let us store luggage and hang out at the hotel even after we checked out. Calming and pleasant lobby area with lots of seating and soft music. Sunny breakfast room. The entire hotel and room smelled very nice as well. It's a small boutique hotel, not a 5-star resort, so if you like something more authentic/local with fewer guests that's also centrally located, I recommend it.
