1.Room.... ordinary condition, mould around shower screen and the base. Old crumbs in utensil drawer.
2. Stove ....dirty around the edges, had to scrape the grease and dirt myself to clean, so i able to cook on it.
3. Curtain in bedroom torn and dirty, and difficult to slide the sliding window.
4. No security or any screen on the bedroom window.
5. Bedding.. pillows thin, uncomfortable, need to be replaced
6. Toaster... small, old looks burnt and un hygienic.

Good things are.... excellent view and excellent size apartment. Cold air-conditioning.
Location is perfect and staff are good. Great working bbqs with excellent shade cover.
Currently lots of work to building but lots of noise. Overall ots ok.

Room was dusty and a bit run down but property is being renovated currently so despite the noise and room being a little run down we loved it and want to go back every year. Loved it, just a few minor things and it's a bit more expensive. Perfect location, stunning views, close to everything and also everything you need in the room too.

Property across the street from beach. Saw a humpback whale playing in the water and watched the surfers. Nice pool on property as well when tired of salt waters. Easy walking distance to restaurants, clothing shops, and grocery store. Can walk a long distance of the coastline and never have to use your vehicle. Would highly recommend.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment overlooking the beach. It was perfect for us. We had an amazing view of Coolums coastline. Restaurants & shops were close by & the staff at Coolum Caprice were always helpful.

Good: Large fully self contained,clean, comfortable apartment. Ocean view, opposite beach and surf club (excellent meals). Fast, friendly response from onsite manager for after hours checkin.
Not so good: Some construction noise after 8.00am from building works. (Notified after booking, offered refund or transfer to alternative property). As only 1 night stay we were not affected.

Disappointing stay given the price.
The property was not as advertised — it looked much more tired and outdated than the advertised photos. That said, I cannot fault the cleanliness, which was excellent.

We arrived to find pillows without pillowcases, though these were added later in the day while we were out. Only one bath towel per person was provided, with no flannels or bath mats, and while basic soap was supplied, there was no moisturiser. Beach towels also had to be hired, which added to the cost. This is not expected at this price point especially as compared with lower cost options nearby.

We travel to Coolum monthly for work and had chosen this property as a treat for my birthday. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations, and we’ve found better value elsewhere.

There were building works during our stay, which caused only minor disruptions (lift waits, parking access, some noise), but this was not disclosed at the time of booking — only in an email the week of our stay.

Overall, we won’t return and wouldn’t recommend this property based on our experience.

Apartment was lovely, with very good side on views of the ocean.
Parking was in the underground.

Flat was very clean and very comfortable, but ..
Complex needed a splash of paint externally,
Toilet cistern in en-suite gently ran all night,
Couldn’t work out how to lock the front door and reception had closed when we went out. In the morning they confirmed it needed locking from inside.
So lovely, but little things meant not perfect.

We throughly enjoyed our time at Coolum Caprice!
The room we stayed in well we feel very lucky to have been allocated, as it was newly renovated and was beautiful. The views of the ocean every morning at sunrise and throughout the day were simply divine and so hard to leave! Bed was comfortable and the spa bath was relaxing! Did not have any issues with noise at all during the stay.

With the check in we arrived after reception hours as our flight arrived around 8:30pm. The code we were supposed to be sent was never received so we were a little worried about how we would be able to gain access into the hotel as we could not find any information online about what the procedure is!
Enter Tommo The friendly night manager as our saviour! There was a phone that we were able to call him on and he came out and gave us our hotel keys!
The decor, garden and pool area are well designed and aesthetically pleasing.
Tracey was helpful at reception and we were so grateful to have been able to stay in the room for a bit longer after check out as our flight was not until the evening.
Overall a wonderful and pleasant stay!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay in a 1 bedroom apartment on one of upper floors. Absolutely fantastic views in all directions up and down the coast and out to sea. The apartment was huge, although a little outdated, It had all of the things you need to be fully self-contained, with a resnable size balcony to sit out and take in the sights and sounds of the area. Definitely worth a look at.

This hotel was not clean. We had issues with not feeling good in this hotel. The bed in main bedroom there was so much dirt underneath bed. This was not cleaned for quite a few weeks. I am requesting a discount and partial refund. There is no reason for a place that charges this much to be that dirty.

Enjoyed our stay. The reception was very helpful, Room was spacious with an ocean view. Surf club just across the road. Plenty of eating options within easy walking distance. Major Supermarket about a 600 metre walk. The facilities were excellent, especially the hot tub. Easy Drive to Noosa and Hastings street. Patrolled beach across the road. You can take a long walk on the beach.

The bed was very hard, old skool mattress and base with no pillow top was challenging.
Can get a little noisy with traffic out the front but that was expected.
Walk to supermarket, surf club, bottle shop & plenty of public transport (bus) passing although we had a hire car. Parking available under building.
Used the Gym, older style equipment but it did the trick during the stay.

On check in the night manager who was the reception person offered us an extra nights accommodation for free. This offer was not honoured and we were asked to vacant the apartment a day early, as reception staff had no knowledge of offer.
No replacement or alternative accommodation was offered.
We were rudely harassed multiple times by reception while we tried to pack to leave. They refused to give a receipt or follow basic consumer rights
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HOSPITALITY EVER.

This place is a time capsule. Legitimately.

Everything about it screams 80s/90s and it has not changed.

It still has the old school arcade room and pool room etc - it's just not been updated in a long long long time.

I'm a bit of a nostalgia freak so I enjoyed it but realise it's not modern by any stretch of the imagination.

Even the games etc they have in the arcade room are old!

The place to stay......

This place is excellent. Friendly staff at check in, and every time we spoke to anyone who worked there. The room faced the water, it was very clean and well equipped. Sounds of the waves crashing all day and night ensured we knew we were on the water. , coffee shop across the road for breakfast, and restaurants all around for lunch and dinner. Surf club across the road for the all important beer in the arvo.
Overall, there was nothing missing. Great place to stay.

After booking premium ocean view, we were a little disappointed to find that we were in a North-facing apartment rather than an East-facing one. Still had ocean views, but the view was more inland than we would have liked.

That said, a fantastic location, central to everything Coolum Beach has to offer.

Great views and a good location and the overall condition of the room was pretty good but the room we had was in real need of renovation, the bathrooms showers and taps were dripping, beds and all the furniture was just old and not that comfortable. I would stay there again but I would ask for a room that had been renovated.

I loved the location. Easy access to the shops on the beachfront, restaurants, chemist etc. The view from the room, lounge and balcony did not dissapoint! I was on the 6th floor, so the extent of the view was fabulous.
Things I didn't like about this property : 1) The storage of the vacuum cleaner in the same cupboard as where you would hang your clothes. Come on! Dust mites, odour, and who knows what else.... Really, there is better solutions than this!
2) The spa bath. Even though, this is normally a treat, this spa is an old one, and the jet inlet /outlet points looked stained and possibly rusty. A normal bath would have been a better treat, to soak ones sore back from my next complaint
3)The MATTRESS was as hard as the floor. I was in so much pain at night, I didnt realuse it at the time, that I was grinding my teeth. My weekend ended on a sour note when my tooth broke at my gum line.
So for the lack of an option provided by the apartments for a mattress topper, ( a few hundred $) my holiday break is costing me thousands in dental repairs!

Located stumbling distance to everything it was a perfect base to explore the beach, shops, supermarket, cafes and restaurants in Coolum. As a result, the car was left for the entire stay in the secure underground carpark. With one day of rainy weather we were more than happy to chill inside in comfort overlooking the beach with a warming glass of wine. A very relaxing break away.

We booked a Superior apartment however it was anything but. The place had not been renovated whatsoever, there was no air conditioning in any of the bedrooms, the place stunk like vomit, ceiling fans rusty, bedside tables we all chipped, laminate shelving was falling to bits. Never stay at this place. I would hate to imagine a standard apartment.
1 out of ten at the best.
