Nobody on reception and no help from anyone!

Absolutely appalling service from this place. When we arrived at 3.00pm reception was closed. Our check in information said \"The front desk is open during the following times: Monday-Friday: 9 AM-4 PM Front desk staff will greet guests on arrival at the property\" There was nobody to be seen. We tried calling several numbers for after hours but both lines were not being answered or disconnected. God forbid it wasn't an emergency situation!! We had asked for a roll away bed for our son which wasn't n the room. Again when tried calling the numbers provided but still no answer. Luckily a lovely lady who owns an apartment there helped us and managed to track someone down. If it wasn't for this lady's help and persistence to assist us we would not have had any help. We were at the stage of sleeping on an old leather couch with no bedding. When a roll away bed finally arrived it was old and rusty and appallingly uncomfortable. Overall the experience at this place was terrible and ruined the end of our trip.

Loved: beautiful view from spacious rooftop the sound of waves from studio and location.
Didn’t like: The reception desk on a weekend in this complex in a tourist area, only opens from 9-10am. Guests phone upon arrival at 2pm to obtain pin to open safe to find keys and paperwork. Several envelopes for different guest’s apartments were there. People could take anyone’s envelope. A guest who was waiting longer than us for a return call for his pin, reached in to obtain his. Where is the security in this procedure? During first phone call I discovered vehicle was too tall to fit in underneath car park. I was advised that I couldn’t park in any of the 5 visitor car parks …but on road. Continuous yellow line on public road – so NO parking was available. When phoning upon arrival I was told again that car can be towed away if I parked in visitor carpark. I stated that as paying guests for 2 nights we should have more rights over visitors for a carpark. Told them that we will be parking; gave rego number and said that we don’t want our vehicle towed away. Other guests could not believe this procedure exists and had never come across it before.

Overall, Regency was very good, but the room we stayed in needed maintenance done. Curtains in bedroom were in poor condition (didn't properly cover the glass door/windows), the hand basin in bathroom was cracked & should be replaced, the glass sliding door onto deck from main room was difficult to open (needs oiling or wheels replaced), the bathroom has no or very little ventilation so smelt quite a bit at times.

Perfect beachfront location - excuses the state of the hotel room itself…

Overall, the view and the distance to the beach is what makes this hotel a great choice. It’s a shame about the room itself. Everything is run down, even the actual door lock and frame are scratched and wobbly. The curtains are falling off the frame, skirting boards and paint is chipped, the carpet needed replacing a long time ago. It feels pretty cheap and ratty- i.e the ugliest art works you can find and an op shop looking lounge. If you value location over comfort, you can look past this. But if the owner renovated the whole place, you could nearly charge what you like the location is that good. On the fence about coming back, I’ll probably spent a bit extra for somewhere that’s finished to a nicer standard.

Good points - location, checking in and out when the office was unstaffed was easy, intercom to call centre and keys ready for me, cleanliness was good despite the actual property condition, parking.

We stayed here last year and the unit was spacious with cooking facilities and washing facilities. This year the unit (at a similar price point) was very small with none of these things and a bar fridge rather than a full size one. We were very disappointed.

Run down room - the washing machine was broken, door handle on the bathroom hanging off, mould on balcony, broken kitchen cupboards. We managed to change rooms but in the room we changed to the air con wasn't working and a kitchen cupboard was also broken (but the washing machine worked, hence the decision to move). Overall, the beach is beautiful and some rooms have great views, but the rooms are really run down and furnishing is very basic.

The room was very small and basic. The kitchen lacked in items to use. The shower wasn’t cleaned properly, there was gum stuck on the wall with other people’s hair. Couldn’t get live tv, had to use our own account on Netflix, and the tv was very small. Half of the patio had water continuously dripping on it from the higher units drain pipes. The only thing we liked about the place was how close it was to the beach, unfortunately we will not stay here again.

Really disappointing for the price. As a few other reviews have mentioned, the only upside to this hotel is the view but you are also directly opposite other people's houses in some rooms. The interior is in desperate need of not only a really good clean, but also an upgrade. The outside chairs were broken, the door and window fixtures had almost disintegrated and the room did not feel clean at all. I would not recommend staying here.

We stayed at the hotel for a couple of days I was double charged for two rooms instead of one the hotel was notified before staying and we were assured the problem would be fixed and that was almost 3 weeks ago I keep getting messages requesting the itinerarys for both rooms which I have sent to them and nothing has been sorted with the refund of money's or stats at the hotel in the future to cover the costs they just keep replying emails saying to send both itinerarys to verify on there end

Good place to stay - I needed a place with a kitchen washer/dryer and this place was perfect. Right on the beach so you can enjoy the ocean. Included was car port parking and they accommodated my late check-in. Rooms are nice and comfy. 7th floor view is also very nice - There is a pool, bbq area on the roof. Recommended if you need a place to stay and can take care of your own needs. Area has many nearby groceries, restaurants, cafes, drug stores.

The building itself outside and common area is maintained but the room was terrible. There was hair on the wall tiles in the shower, tiles cracked in the base of the shower, the door of the shower was rusty and warped which wouldn’t close properly. The room itself had a surface clean but the tiles need a good scrub. The curtains are stained and dirty. The toilet seat is stuck down with double sided tape

I really liked the location and the size of the room, the kitchen and view, but it wasn’t cleaned properly. The bed felt sandy on top. There was a dirty sick left in the bedroom and a jacket hanging in the wardrobe. I told the receptionist downstairs and he say “it’s not my problem”. I took a photo of the sock and jacket. The door into the balcony didn’t lock. The bedroom door was broken snd didn’t close. The spa didn’t work and the shower in the unit was terrible. It said there was supposed to be an extra role of toilet paper in the cupboard and there wasn’t. When I needed another tile, reception was closed.

The position of the hotel is excellent. The biggest disappointment was the cleanliness. I have an allergy to dust mites which was severely triggered within 15 minutes of entering the apartment, resulting in rashes and swollen joints. The apartment was fully carpeted except the bathroom and poorly cleaned.
Our stay was for 2 night's but due to my reaction we had to leave after the first night.
I attempted to raise the issue with reception but they were disinterested/ didn’t know what to do.

We were allocated 607a, an apartment which was well overdue for general maintenance

When I reached for a towel after a shower the towel rail fell to the ground

My 16 year old son had to sleep on the floor when the roll out bed that was left in our apartment was broken and was of no use on our first night

Eric in Reception was very helpful and organised a good roll out bed for our second night

I informed Eric at reception of our misfortunes and he said he would tell his manager….. I’m yet to hear back

This was a very disappointing stay

Poor value for money. 3 bedroom not as it appears in the ads. Apartment not in good condition. Comparable to a uni student apartment that gets a lot of party use. Furniture was in poor condition with tears and not as shown in ad. Seemed like it was furnished at a yard sale. More wall scuffs and carpet stains than you can count. Admin did nothing to help rectify and reception is open limited hours. In summary: overpriced, disappointing, wasted potential. Buyer Beware.

Lovely for the price we paid. Good enough view of the beach. On the 6th floor over the top of the pool. Unfortunately for us very over cast and wet on this trip so didn't spend much time on the balcony. Pizza and Thai within walking distance and a chemist. Shops however need to catch bus or uber. Lovely walk to Burleigh around the hill. Room was nice for price however with the limited amount of time the front desk was manned it was hard to get help with the tv, towels and lack of cleaning products. Was a bonus beach flags just across on the beach for swimming and the Nerang river within walking distance

Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Air conditioning unit was very dirty and smelt so much when turned on that we couldn't use it. The spa was hit and miss, sometimes it worked other times it didn't. Absolutely no communication from management at all. The living area lights were filthy. Dining chairs were broken.
We have stayed in many units on the Gold Coast and this was the worst. Definitely do not recommend and sorry but we won't be back.

When I checked in I was not informed that I had a numbered parking spot or given directions as to where to find it only a you have parked in the wrong place on the rear of the vehicle.and to say they were not made for larger vehicles is correct. the doors to the outdoor area needed superman to open them. other than that it was a reasonable place to stay I just will not be one that will be returning.

I’ve stayed at many hotels overlooking The Pacfic Ocean and it has not ever been better than this property.
Walk out the gate to the sandy beach and enjoy your morning soaking up the sun with a walk along Palm Beach.

My room was amazing, great views, very clean, lovely balcomy, comfy bed, a fully equiped kitchenette, with modern bathroom.
Great price for the aparment especially the location.
Lovely staff looking after you.
Pretty gardern BBQ area, rooftop seating, pool and spa.
Secure parking along with being on The Gold Coast HWY Airport busline, and all other destinations up the coast.

2 Bedroom Deluxe was very spacious, two bathrooms as well.
Moving to stay longer (by myself) to a one bedroom apartment next door, just as lovely and clean.

Definitely recommend staying here as a couple, solo business trip, or bring the family.
The location in Palm Beach is very safe, patrolled beach, and very relaxing.

Beautiful location, a gatewat to the beach literally. Wonderful views and sounds of the ocean. The 2 bedroom was excellent, two large sized rooms and bathrooms. Very clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed for a long holiday. The staff were very nice and helped out tremdeously. Im definitely returning again to this hotel, it was my 3rd visit and i recommend it to all. Give them a call, im sure they'd help. .... i loved it so much, i extended my stay by 5 days... Well worth a visit fir a relaxing holiday.

Sometimes the pictures on websites don't show the true view you get from a room. This one was pretty close (could have been a touch more realistic) but it said Ocen view, and we got a good ocean view. The room was clean and tidy and in good condition. One issue was the showerhead flew off when I turned on the water, but the caretaker fixed it pronto (even after hours). Bonus points there.
