Comfortanle stay with a beautiful view!

We had an excellent stay at Ambience on Berleigh. Our 3 bedroom apartment was spacious, clean and modern. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even let us know that our room was ready early to check in. We will definitely be returning!

Too noisy to sleep

Lovely apartment but information about adjacent ongoing road construction is only provided once booking is made, and even then it is vague and incomplete. We were subjected to two nights of continuous overnight roadworks including disk concrete cutting, excavating and drilling.

Had the information about noise been available on your website we would not have booked this location- left feeling deceived and looking forward to a good night’s sleep at home.

A lovely apartment with everything we needed. Undercover secure parking,lovely pool,sauna steam room. Across the road from Burleigh beach and town. Lots of eateries to choose from. Bus runs past the apartments too if you don't have a car. We will be back. Very friendly and helpful apartment management.

Excellent location. Excellent value for money. Clean and spacious apartment. Sadly, the road noise from hoon traffic and the workers doing night work for the light rail...(beyond Ambience's control), directly below our unit. On the good side, everything was at your fingertips for whatever you needed. Great security set-up for cars and units.

As much as we stayed in an apartment, to clen up down to coffee cups is a bit much and then to take rubish out as well. Would rather hotel but not available this night if at all at ambience. Carpark needs more signage.

Would’ve loved an Ocean facing room.. hopefully next time
Huge expanse of windows but curtain hooks had come off railings making impossible to open or even close curtains
Had to make a special request to repair
Which was done straight away! However I don’t think I should’ve been given the room in that condition and it should’ve been addressed before I moved in

Really enjoyed my stay at the Ambience on Burleigh Beach. Was up the on Gold Coast for a couple of days only. The staff was very welcoming and helpful and check in was easy. The unit was very spacious and clean and had lots of amenities including a kitchen, laundry, TV & DVD, Wifi and balcony. The local area provided lots of choice for shopping, restaurants and transport with easy access to & from the airport. Easy access to local attractions and although I didn't use the pool it looked great. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location... lots of cigarette smoke.

The staff at the front was incredibly friendly & helpful. However, when I questioned the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke on our floor near our room. I was told it’s ok for people to smoke in their balcony. The smell was so strong it was coming into our room with all doors and windows closed. If you are sensitive to smoke such as myself I would skip staying here. Overall I would say the rooms are in need of some TLC. The room seemed pretty banged up for the price.
The location is amazing. Walkable everything. Which was the high point. Although there are many places in the area that are as good a location.
I would pass in staying here again. Sorry!

Top spot in Burleigh

Great spot in the heart of Burleigh. Apartment complex, not a hotel, so don't expect too much in the way of service. Great vies form huge 3BR high floor north east facing apartment, was clean & well appointed, apart from a lack of coffee machine. Bit of traffic noise from the highway at night in the bedrooms, even up high, needed double glazing. Blinds left lots of gaps to let in early morning sunshine, made it hard to sleep in, needs curtains. Nice big heated pool, spa a bit small but ok. Plenty of shops, food, pub etc close by, and patrolled beach just across the road.

Nothing worse than being disappointed on arriving somewhere. The picture in the property details is misleading and appears to be beach front. The property is actually set back from the beach. The room was sold as beach view. It actually overlooked the highway with a slight view of the beach if you stood in the balcony. I believe we were deceived in the marketing of this property.

Very good location and nice spacious room on 6th floor. Reception is a basic service only and there aren't any dine in facilities. However there are plentiful cafes and restaurants nearby so that is not really an issue. Set back a little from the beach so the higher the room the better the view. Staff in reception were friendly and efficient. Heated pool and spa with adjacent gym so facilities all good. All areas well maintained. Our two night stay was enjoyable and so I would recommend the facility for those going to Burleigh Beach.

For the price we payed we expected a view of the water not of the carpark. The room wasn't very clean, very dusty. The tv wasn't even attached to the stand properly and there was a towel to stableise it. It felt like it could fall off.
There was no notice of jack hammering which was very loud in our room.

Ambience is perfectly located opposite the best beach on the gold coast. With the town centre across the road, hotel and meal facilities below and the surf club and kiosk nearby, it couldn't be better positioned.
The building is still quite new and modern.
The staff were very friendly and obliging.
We will be back

Pros:
- The location is amazing. Right in the heart of Burleigh. Close to restaurants, cafe's, shops and of course the beach.
- Room and hotel were overall very clean.

Cons:
- Bedding was average, could have been comfier. No doona, just sheets and a light throw. I know it is mostly warm at night, but I myself prefer a doona regardless.
- No wifi. Most hotels these days do have wifi, so my fault for not double checking this. Receptionist gave us 1gb, only when we asked after noticing a modem in our room.
- Need to pay for extra tea/coffee saches, detergent, washing powder, towelling etc.

Overall it was an okay stay, expected something a little better considering the hotel isn't that old. Loved the location, however would probably look elsewhere next time.

Great location, no turndown service

PROS:
The best aspect of Ambiance on Burleigh beach was the great location. The room facilites were all in perfect working condition. We did use the washing machine and dryer. One sachet of washing machine powder was provided. The apartment was huge!

CONS:
In our \"ocean view\" room you could only see the ocean when you looked around the corner from the balcony. We stayed for five nights and there was no turndown service. Extra towels were $2- each. We were also asked to take out our own rubbish (never been asked to do this before), and make sure the dishes were all clean (commonly asked) upon depature. The pool didn't look great but the hotel was right across from the beach. The gym had basic facilities and was small however we had the whole place to ourself. When we enquired about wifi we were given a code and allowed 1gb of data only (for the both of us for the entire stay). Extra internet was charged. The manager said they would be getting unlimited soon.

Burleigh Heads is a stunning place however next time around I will stay somewhere with turndown service! If you're going make sure to see Tungan lookout! Very close to the hotel and not to be missed.

Very nice and located adjacent to Cafe's, Bars & restaurants.
The only thing that would have made the accommodation any better - is a view of the beach from the lounge. (so on an upper level)

Couldn't find the rubbish bin outside the room as described in the letter I received from housekeeping.
There for 3 days - only 2 towels. Need to ask for extra.

All in all, an excellent place to stay.

Good public transport facilities, so car can be left in the secure parking which is included in the tariff. Hop on a bus to Pacific Fair, Surfers, or South to Tweed Heads. Some interesting local small shops to browse/shop.

Very well equipped kitchen (if you really must cook). Dish washer and laundry in the unit.

Our only problem was the hard bed. Floor may have been more comfortable. Carpet really needed cleaning, which the manager's staff said that they would attend to. Everything else very clean. Overall, well designed complex and unit.

We loved the location, situated across the road from the beach and the shops, yet off the main road. We didn't use our car whilst we were there - we were able to walk everywhere!

Our apartment looked out over the beach so the view was gorgeous. The apartment was beautifully maintained. The space offered everything we needed.

Great location!

Allowed us to check in early has we had an early morning flight which was very much appreciated. Our room was quite dirty/dusty when we pulled the curtains. The main bedroom did not have a quilt cover. It just had a sheet over the quilt. Our power point covers fell off every time we plugged in a charger. Very handy to everything and lovely big rooms.

Whilst Ambience is in a good location and the overall condition of the building is good. The particular room we stayed in was in some need of basic maintenance. The ensuite in particular had a number of issues which demonstrated a lack of basic maintenance being undertaken on the fixtures and fittings.
Whilst the main living room has a good TV and is equiped with a DVD player, the lack of a radio in the main living room was a negative aspect.
In addition the main bedroom clock radio had been put away in a drawer which was not discovered until the end of the stay.

Huge apartment, quiet, well appointed. Great view over beach. No room service or cleaning, reception open 9 to 5 so not easy to check in or out early, need to use key safe to get room keys if arriving after 5pm so be sure to organise room access before you arrive. Good location, happy to return.

A Nice Surprise

My stay was very restful but also at the centre of everything you would need for a few days at the beach. The unit was very well equipped for 4 people, very clean, a comfortable bed ( pillows could be more forgiving), and all within easy walking distance to great shopping and restaurants, not to mention the beautiful Burleigh Beach across the road You don't need your car for anything. Would highly recommend..
