Constant road works until 1am with bedroom windows facing the road works and noisy potholes and the noise from generators running all night. It would have been nice to have been advised of the roadworks as I would have packed earplugs but zero communication.

Burleigh Surf Apartments has a fantastic beachfront location with spacious units and great ocean views. However, the quality varies since each apartment is individually owned. Our unit had cleanliness issues, including stained blankets and a poorly cleaned kitchen.

The pool was closed for half our stay, and construction noise started at 8 a.m. two floors above us—none of which was disclosed before booking, despite it being prepaid and non-refundable.

We were locked out on day one due to a faulty key and had to wait over 30 minutes and make multiple calls for help, as the front desk is only open during business hours. We were also told not to use the deadbolt, which was inconvenient.

We lost our key on the last day and were charged \$200 for a replacement, but no documentation was provided despite asking. Attempts to contact management during our stay went unanswered.

The location and views are excellent, but improvements in cleaning, communication, after-hours support, and fee transparency are needed.

The apartment we were in was lovely with a great outlook and well equipped kitchen. The second bedroom was very small but had a good ensuite. While the room was lovely, the apartment is on the road where the new light rail is being built. They worked through the night so the noise was bad, so bad we had to buy ear plugs. Dirt was stirred up by the winds and you had to wait a long time to cross the road to go to the supermarket or restaurants. I wouldn’t stay here again until the road works are finished.

The ocean view from the apartment was amazing. The kitchen had everything in it that your kitchen at home has. The beach is right across the street, the pools are lovely, shops and paces to eat ae close by. We will definitely be staying again.

Beautiful views. Wasn’t overly clean (mouldy bathroom, all items in kitchen cupboards needed to be washed before use, sheets were fine but doona covers were dirty) which put an overall dampener to the trip. Washing machine ran but hardly washed clothes?
Also we were on level 16 and the sound of the GC hwy was loud, not to mention night works that we weren’t informed of prior to our stay……….

Nice spacious apartment but could do with a bit of upgrade/cleaning. Heatpump was mouldy and filthy, bathroom ceilings need a clean. Rest of apartment was lovely.
Incredibly noisy from both road works throughout every night and also dog barking constantly next door. Lots of people noise from road too.
Great position for walks and beaches and nice outlook from balcony.

Yes, the apartment itself is a little dated, but you could not fault the cleanliness and everything you need to have a comfortable stay is there. The facilities of the complex are excellent amd all staff are very lovely. A little bit of construction from the Gold Coast Highway and to the North of the property an old building was being demolished but we did not find the noise excessive. Frankly the closer you get into Burleigh the more constrution, noise and road works, being in North Burleigh this complex has relatively minimal disruption. Will come back for sure.

I like the property as it is right on the beach.
The beach is good to walk on with a headland at each end plus Burleigh Heads to the South.

We booked this hotel for the spa bath. However the bath didn’t work. Which was super disappointing.

When we went to ask about the bath we were told it was broken and they were waiting for parts. No offer to change rooms or compensation. super disappointing and made the whole experience not fantastic.

The beds were also super uncomfortable!

We spent 8 nights in a standard ocean view apartment.

Let’s start with the good:
- great location
- free on site parking
- amazing views once you clear the tree line (10th floor)
- very spacious apartments
- indoor heated pool (although it’s small and overrun with screaming kids)
- super close to shops and food

The bad:
- obstructed ocean views are sold as ‘ocean views’
- HUGE variety in fit out (we spent four nights in apartment 3C and then we moved to 14A). The difference in furniture was unbelievable considering both rooms were same rate
- Leonie (building manager) quite rude and apathetic
- bathrooms are very dated (original 1990 fit out)
- the outdoor pool was freezing (we stayed early April)
- the kitchen utensils are limited and really poor quality (we had to ask for replacement kettles at both apartments as they both broke)

In summary, you’re taking a big gamble with the apartment you’re allocated. Be prepared to move to a better one if you’re not happy. If you don’t care so much about the fit out, then you’ll be happy.

The facilities were great, especially the pool and outdoor areas.
The apparent we stayed in was a bit crap though. The layout was great and the views were excellent but the bathrooms were pretty dirty, with mold in the showers. The mirrors everywhere are a stupid idea, especially with kids. The lamp in the kids room was broken and dangerous. Glass tables are ridiculous. No blanket on the main bed, i mean why? We would stay in this building again but would need a different room for sure. All of the doors windows let air in, even when shut and locked.

Breathtaking views of Burleigh Beach

We had a superior 2 bedroom apartment on level 23. The view was breathtaking. It was a huge, light filled space. Only downside was that there was only 1 air conditioning unit for the whole apartment. The bedrooms were a bit hot, especially the second bedroom. We ended up bringing the two single beds out to the spacious lounge room.

Our unit was reasonably clean and well equipped but was a bit \"tired\". The shower taps needed replacing, as they were faulty.
The single split system air-con was located in the lounge but wasn't very effective with the bedrooms down the hall.
Overall, the unit was good value for money.

We had a single bedroom apartment. It was very large and fully equipped with a full kitchen.
Very light and fantastic views over the Gold Coast.
The complex had two pools and was right by the beach.
We enjoyed our stay.

The apartment was spacious and the location was awesome. The beach view was great. Easy parking. The shower was terrible - getting the temperature correct was a struggle, but the worst part was the water pressure. It was a drizzle at best, making it very difficult to wash your hair in particular. Ironically, the restricters in the shower head meant that you couldn't get enough water to clean yourself, yet there was a spa bath that could be filled and used.
The bathroom was very dated, and there were no blinds or heavy curtains in the bathroom for privacy. I accept that we were on the 17th floor, but if I can see them, then they can see me - particularly at night with the lights on.

They property was in a perfect position, in between everywhere we wanted to explore and more. I would stay again but I may book a superior apartment to be higher up for the views. We were in level 2 and the trees blocked our view of the sea.
Both the indoor and out door pools were great we used these a lot. I was a little disappointed with the cups being dirty, but I cleaned them up and all was good. Would recommend the accommodation the area it is in is lovely and they staff are wonderful.

This place is good but not great. Nice view from the balcony and the apartment was spacious-that’s the the positives. It’s a 15-20 min walk to Burleigh but there’s enough around to not need to go there so location is fine unless you want to be right in the main area. The apartment is really dated and tired and the pools are not suitable for kids as there is no shallow part in either pool. That was the negatives for us. It was our first time to this area so we took a chance but having seen the location now I would choose to stay elsewhere.

We loved the location.

Also close to the Surf club for meals. We loved seeing people of all ages enjoying the location, but not overcrowded.
Really a pleasant place to stay. We didn’t need to use our car. Did wish the bed had a topping to be a bit more comfortable, it was too hard for us. Other than that things were very good..

The apartment was in a great location with beautiful ocean views. Close to surf club and Coles. A bit further from Burleigh but a short drive.

My husband, six month old and I had a lovely stay.

Unfortunately our trip ended with a bit of a bad taste as we accidentally misplaced our second key. The replacement fee on the tag says $75 but the lady at reception said it’s $150 usually $250 which was very confusing. It seemed they make up whatever fee of the day and were very rude about it. It was an honest mistake and we already felt awful. Poor communication in this regard which wasn’t a nice end.

Great Apartment by the sea

A beautifully maintain apartment across the road from North Burleigh ocean beach. We stay for 4 nights during the Commonwealth Games that was close to public transport. We were able to watch the Men's and Ladies Wheelie Marathon and the Men's and Ladies Marathons just out the front gate of the complex.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and we are going to return to the Burleigh Surf Apartments later in the year.

Some rooms are quite tired. On checking in however the hotel was quite happy to let me find one that was less tired and in a better location.
