Overall had an amazing stay. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the property itself was great with the pool, bar, and restaurant inside. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast which was included.
The room itself was spacious and clean, especially the bathroom. My literal only complaint which knocked this review from a 5 to a 4 is that the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was so soft to the point where we were sinking into it. It was very difficult to get comfortable, and it severely impacted our sleep. My back is still sore. I’m usually pretty resilient when it comes to hotel beds of varying softness, but the beds at this hotel were just wayyy too soft.

On our annual weeklong holiday to surfers we found the hotel great as usual. The dining breakfast staff were great. With special recommendations to Rosie and storm.. buffet breakfast included in cost is wonderful . Parking is also included .. great job guys

Perfect quiet getaway with a minor check-in hiccup
We were looking for a quieter spot for an overnight birthday celebration—somewhere close to everything we needed but away from the chaotic noise of Surfers Paradise and other busy Gold Coast destinations. This place was perfect.
Check-in was easy, though a bit off-putting. The lady serving us wasn't friendly, didn’t smile once, and as soon as she handed over the room key and parking gate code, she literally hustled away without even wishing us a nice stay. It left us no opportunity to ask about services, which made me a bit concerned for the night ahead.
However, the room itself was lovely! We booked a family studio, and it was spacious and spotless. The beds were absolutely divine and comfortable, the bath was perfect for a long soak, and my daughter loved the hot shower. They also provided enough complimentary welcome water for all of us, which was greatly appreciated. We couldn't find the pool or any signage/room info for it, so we can't comment on that, though it looks nice in the online photos.
The hotel next door is easily accessible, and the staff there were absolutely lovely. Their breakfast buffet had plenty of fresh, tasty choices for both kids and adults, with no wait times and ample seating.

Perfect place for one night away with our kids. We ended up having dinner there as we got 4 drinks vouchers at check-in. Free breakfast buffet was a hit as we stayed here before departing on an international flight. Only 25min from Coolangatta airport away. It was perfect for us. Mermaid Waters Nightelier was such a unexpected surprise. Everything was very clean. The room was huge compared to most hotels, even the very expensive ones. The bed was soft and comfortable but I am used to a firmer bed and would have preferred it firmer. The linen was like new. No worn out thin towels that were white once. The free breakfast was very good and same with the bistro at a very reasonable price. I really couldn't fault anything. I will definitely stay there again.

Our room was very spacious and immaculately clean. The hotel restaurant had a great selection of meals and the food was excellent. The room comes with a beautiful buffet breakfast with lots of selection. My only complaint was that the twin king beds needed a mechanism to lock the wheels. When you tried to get into bed or sit on the bed, the entire bed slipped away. Someone could fall and hurt themselves. But I would still highly recommend this hotel. One of the best I’ve stayed in over many years.

The breakfast buffet was a tad disappointing, though the staff there were fantastic.

We came back down the halls a couple of hours later and they were still there which was gross. We’ve stayed here before and liked it but the roaches this time gave me the creeps. Our room was clean, tidy and had everything you'd expect in a mid-tier hotel. The staff are so friendly and approachable, and the buffet breakfast was a pleasant surprise and exceptional for a hotel buffet. The heated tropical pool is of a generous size with a little slide for the kids (or kid within you!) This place is seriously slept on considering how close it is to all the hot tourist spots. We will definitely stay here again the next time we're on the Gold Coast!

The room was clean and the staff were lovely. However the hotel is old and needs renovations. The washroom is very run down, the shower drips and the lights flicker for a few seconds before turning on. When we turn on the hot water is rattles the pipes like crazy. And when I would shower the floor drain would bubble up soap from the bath tub, leaving a soap pile in the middle of the washroom floor. The shower head is very loose and floppy as well.

One could say it ain't 5 stars what do you expect but I'm a person that also has a right to be catered for due to a medical condition and might not be able to afford a higher quality stay. I do think that taking on one of the simple suggestions I've outlined would make things more efficient for all parties involved.
