I pulled out the sofa bed in the living room because that was the only room with AC and there were stains All over the bed. I was so grossed out I just slept in the bedroom and dealt with the heat.
I dropped something on the floor in the bedroom and it rolled under the bed, I looked under the bed for it and there was another guests dirty clothes under there. Definitely not a clean room.
The area of the hotel was great but I don’t think I’d stay here again. I didn’t feel like the room was clean.

We spent two weeks in a lovely two bedroom apartment. Managers Marty and Dorelle, were outstanding hosts, extremely helpful and accommodating. The apartment was clean with everything we required. Pool was warm and well maintained. Close to the beach, Pacific Fair and dozens of restaurants. We will be returning next time we are on the Gold Coast. Highly recommend accomodation!

Portobello was so conveniently close to Pacific Fair, with supermarkets, restaurants and even a gym for me to use while visiting.
It was also really a nice 15 min walk to the convention centre, where I can stop by a number of cafes to get my caffeine fix beforehand!
The room itself is a little worn down, and could do with a revamp but otherwise it was comfortable.

Thank you for our stay. The location is good, close to the beach and Pacific Fair, easy to get to and easy to park in. The property was very clean but there was a few minor maintenance issues with the property, the door to the upstairs shower would not close and the toilet upstairs needed jiggling to get the cistern to refill. Other than that it was a very pleasant stay, the communication and greeting from the staff was excellent and the pool nice.

Great location!

It's very convenient location, just few mins walk to Pacificfair, beach and casino.
They only have stairs so it's bit hard for us to carry our laggages from car park to the room.
The room was old but it's nicely cleaned and the receptionist was very friendly.

Portobello Resort Apartments are amazing from the moment we arrived we were greeted with a warm smile told about the facilities. The manager is very helpful. The apartments are very clean, really comfortable bed and pillows, great water pressure in the shower and it has everything you need to cook like you would at home the kitchen is so well equipped. The residents in the apartments are all beautiful and really welcoming. And it’s a really safe place for families. The location is amazing!! I can’t fault it we already miss it and can’t wait to go back. We loved our stay. Thank you Gerard and staff for making our stay so memorable.

Place suited great for what I needed - was a good size for travelling solo and fab to have a balcony too. Easily walkable to the bars, restaurant, casino (10-15 mins) and right across the road from Pacific Fair, the tram/train and buses towards Burleigh / Airport, etc.

Advertising of what is actually included was misleading. Advertising free wifi, then providing only 1 gig for three days is virtually useless. We specifically chose a one bedroom with sofa bed so that the two people booked to stay would need to share a bed. Upon arrival we found we needed to pay an extra guest charge of $30/day to be provided with sheets for the sofa bed.

Location is great as it is within walking distance to beach, Pacific Fair and great dining in Broadbeach. Light rail also allows you to travel to Surfers Paradise and all the way to Helensvale for small fare. Property Manager very helpful with any queries one may have. Overall delightful for any getaway.

Good Location

Good location. Handy to Pacific Fair, Dracula’s, The Casino, all with walking distance. Only a very short drive to Cavill Ave, the beach and Main Beach area or only a few bus and train stops away. Good communication at reception and helpful. Nice and quiet.

A broom would help

Unit was clean except the bathroom floor needs to be cleaned behind the door. I wonder if that jogger shoe print will ve waiting for the next guest. The grout in the floor tiles could also do with a good clean. The balcony floor was very sandy. Not sure how long the unit had not been used for however unless you sweep it the morning of the guest arriving, perhaps supply a broom so that we can sweep it ourselves. The bins to place our rubbish in was not found so i took it home however when i was exiting the car park, there the skip was, on the sidewal out side the building. You pay good money to stay in these places, they have a copy of your credit card and the guest info states that unless you leave the unit clean, you are billed for the cleaning. What are we paying for? In a motel they give you clean towels and make your bed for you for less money. Apart from that, it was in a great location and wifi was good.

Very convenient, family friendly

I visited to attend a two day educational workshop and brought my teenager and her friend with me.
Portobello suited our needs very well as it is situated very well with superb access to public transport and across the road from the fabulous Pacific Fair shopping complex. A very short walk in the other direction takes one to the beach. there is a lovely pool and bbq facilities too, excellent value for money.

Low level little apartments, with no elevator, ok for us, only had two small flights of stairs from carpark, wouldn't be so good if we were on the fourth floor. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable, little to far out from main Broadbeach area. Our stay was pleasant and suited our needs for only 2days.

We Had a good stay, the resort was quiet eventhough it was on the highway, it was opposite Pacific fair shops and the bus station. The spa on the top floor balcony was a great addition, although a see through shower in the main bedroom was quite unusual as you could see straight thru to the toilet!!!! a little weird we thought.

Close to the Casino and Pacific Fair

The locations was great, 7-10min walk to the Casino, where we watched the NZvBIL test, had breakfast and had a couple of wins.... and just across from Pacific Fair. Gerard and Shirley were awesome, explaining everything about the access if we got back late. The room had great facilities if you wanted to cook your own meals etc... Loved the instant hot water in the shower. The place was clean and just perfect with the balcony, where we had cheese, crackers with a couple of beers and a good dose of the sun (in winter). We are definitely going back again....

Lovely 1 bedroom apartment

The apartment was located close to Pacific Fair Shopping Centre and Jupiters Casino. Great fully equipped kitchen with full size oven and cooktop and a well stocked, in-room laundry. Comfortable lounge area with large TV. The apartment was very clean. A lovely bed with great pillows afforded a very comfortable nights sleep.

We needed to find accommodation Lastminute in Broadbeach, with minimum availability we were pleasantly surprised by this lovely little hotel. Very clean, pool and heated spa were fantastic. Booking 10 minutes before arriving was no problem at all for helpful staff. Would recommend this hotel.

Don't stay at this hotel

I arrived at the hotel at the appropriate time but could've even get access as the staff where no where to be found. I waited 4 hours to even get a hold of anyone that could let me in. There was no answer on the after hours number after me attempting to ring 20 times.
Furthermore there was no toilet paper in my room! I had to go buy my own toilet paper.

Nice apartments close to shopping centre

The apartment was very clean and very well planned. Our only problem was we are getting on in years with bad hip and the apartment we had was up 3 flights of stairs with no lift. Other than that, we really loved our stay.

Best value for money on the coast

For the money I expected something on the dingy side. Very pleasantly surprised. This establishment is the best value for money I have come across. Clean, comfortable and it has everything necessary. I didn't get time to work out the free wifi access and it took a while to get good tv signal but it came good.

Overall excellent. We will be back.

Nice size and comfortable apartments. Close to amenities, Pacific Fair and the Casino. Surpricsingly though on teh GC Highway very little to no traffic noise was heard from the apartment. car parking with good security a bonus.

Perfect! Quiet, Convenient and Clean!

Loved my week here for a conference. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, beach, transport (tram) and the Conference and Entertainment Centre. The 1bedroom apartment was quiet and very clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything I needed and I used the kitchen daily. I loved coming back to a heated pool and Spa every night and the surroundings were picture perfect. I arrived outside office hours and getting access to my apartment was just as easy as picking up a ph. It was a pleasure to stay at Portobello Resort Apartments and I will be recommending them and definitely returning myself. Great all-round experience.

Only good thing was the location

Being told to be quite at 730pm while just talking on the balcony, actually to not talk at all, one toilet roll for 3 girls for 2 nights apparently it's self contained so that means u have to provide ur own toilet paper?? Never heard of such a thing can only have a 4 minute shower then it goes cold, no Dvd Player so can't watch DVDs one blanket for 3 people to sleep with and its winter, I could go on!! Would never stay here again and would never recommend it to any of my friends or family to stay either. It wasn't cheap to stay either otherwise I would understand the low standard of this hotel.

Excellent Base Camp for Gold Coast expeditions

The best thing about Portobello Resort is its proximity to the best parts of the Gold Coast. The new tramway almost at your doorstep, along with Jupiters Casino and the Convention Centre. The biggest shopping precinct I've ever seen is directly over the road, too. You can even hear the beach from your balcony.
