The room was clean ( some dry rubbish missed behind the bedside table. ) Ageing rooms that could do with a refresh.
Patched dents in wall in Bedroom needs to be sanded & painted.
Vent in ceiling of bathroom was extremely dusty/dirty.
Reception staff friendly & courteous.
Our room overlloked the road & flats next door.
Very limited visitor parking available & underground carpark a bit challenging to navigate.

Checked in 22 December - kitchen floor wet, which thought it had just been mopped. Air conditioning went off after five minutes. Went out for 5 hours, returned and floor still wet. Husband fell over - aircon not working. Called after hours maintenance at 8:30pm - turned up at 9pm and said wet floor was due to humidity. Said aircon guys will be here at at 7am to fix aircon. Called Reception at 8:15am and they knew nothing about it. Found our own maintenance guy at 8:30am who said there is a leak in kitchen and aircon not working. Finally got room transfer at 1pm on 23.12.25 and both TVs not working in that room - maintenance tried to fix for 3 hrs. PowerPoint in bathroom broken. Terribly rundown and staff don't care.

The Bel Air are going through a change of management. There wasn't always someone to sort issues out. The reception staff were friendly, but they could not sort issues. Our issues were Ants in our cupboard. Our room had cracked and broken tiles and not enough glasses. The heated Spa was broken for 6 of the days we stayed. Many of our friends also staying during the time we were there, had worse issues. The amount of money we paid for this hotel, we regret it and wish we went to the Sofitel or something nicer. The rooms are all in various stages of either already renovated, or still original.

We would not stay here again. The spa was broken the entire week we were there. The staff told us it was fixed and it wasn’t. Our room was dusty and dirty in the bathrooms and on counter tops. We told them about the cleanliness and they didn’t come until day 6 to clean and it was just a surface clean and change of bath towels. Not good enough. The carpet was old and ripped up. Our room did not look like the photos online, nothing had been updated. The shower was over a bath, not what we were expecting. We asked to move rooms and we could not be accommodated. The staff were not helpful an other families were able to move rooms. It was expensive and we had to pay for pool towels and we were there for 11 nights.
I recommend going elsewhere.

The room was good after the initial change because I did book for a superior ocean view. The staff quickly changed our room upon arrival.
We have stayed here many times and enjoy the facilities and friendly staff. However, the spa was not working for the last week of our stay.
You have poolside rules that weren't enforced once. Other guests as well as live in tenants complained that there were too many children yelling, playing ball games (which parents played too from one end to the other end), jumping off the small pool edge into the big pool and running everywhere! The parents were drinking alcohol poolside too. When the spa was working during our first week, I had to wait to use it due to unsupervised kids in the spa. It was ridiculous that this was allowed to happen daily.
You have both pool and spa rules which parents ignore with no consideration for other guests. So, please have your staff enforce the rules for the comfort of everyone else.
The other issue was the many false fire alarms. After the call to evacuate twice, we did so but there was no announcement after that to say it was a false alarm again.
We would like to return next year but the poolside issues will be part of our consideration. Thank you.

We booked this property around six months in advance. Upon arrival, we found the apartment to be quite dated, with old furnishings that did not match the photos advertised online. There were also overnight roadworks directly outside the property, which had not been disclosed prior to our stay.

That said, the staff were very responsive and professional. As they were fully booked and unable to relocate us, they quickly offered a refund, which we appreciated. While the accommodation itself wasn’t suitable for us, the customer service was excellent and we were able to find alternative accommodation that better met our needs.

Room was a little dated but comfortable. Air con in the bedroom would be amazing but ceiling fan and pedestal fan worked well.
Air con in living room but due to design of 1bedroom apartment didn’t reach the bedroom well.

Location! Short walk to the beach, shoppingmall including groceries and lots of very good restaurants. We used the bbq at the hotel as well, very enjoyable. Nice pool and gym area. Great little breakfast/lunch/coffee cafe. Very nice and helpful host (Japanese guy). Roomy apartment with everything you need.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel in a two-bedroom apartment with a beautiful ocean view. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, and the outlook made it even more enjoyable. The only downside was that one of the bedrooms did not have air-conditioning, which made it quite hot even with the fan on.
The hotel itself has great facilities, including a nice pool and a lovely on-site coffee shop, which added to the overall experience.

Great amenties, close to everything. Second time have stayed and ended up in the same 3 bedroom apartment. In 2024 we stayed at another apartment right on the front at Broadbeach, that place was great for the fireworks on new years but nothing else. The room at the Bel Air was much better and had way more space, plenty of seating, great kitchen. We have teenage children and it was great for them to head to the shops and movies. We will be back again in 2026.

The room we were given did not meet the description of the room we booked. We were under the impression we had booked a large studio apartment as the room description stated 64m² studio with washing machine, living area, ceiling fans etc. We were put in a tiny hotel room about 15m². We arrived after hours and when we showed reception the following morning they were apologetic, but unable to move us as they were fully booked. We had prepaid so we were stuck in the shoebox room for the remaining 3 nights. Very disappointing experience.

Good location, clean rooms but room was overlooking road works (working at night) and main road… noise kept up awake and woke us up.. asked if we could be moved and were told they’d get back to us .. but didn’t. We have stayed several times before and did request several times for a room NOT FACEING ROAD. Also spa was out.. no mention of this on website. Very disappointed and won’t be back

Room was terrible, so outdated and old. No air-conditioning in the bedroom only a fan. The curtains in the bedroom didn't even touch the floor so in the mornings was very light and bright and hot!. The step into the bath , where the shower is, is very high and definitely not suited to elderly or if u had a bad back. The kitchen is very outdated and old. The whole room needs a paint and upgrade. Construction works woke us every morning at 6.30 so it was not a restful peaceful stay at all.

When you pay good money you expect all facilities to be functioning and accessible, was looking forward to relaxing and using spa and sauna. Should be upfront that facilities are not operating prior to asking full rates. It’s just not cricket!

Our apartment was getting a little tired and we had issues the cooking smell from the next door apartment, unfortunately there was a internal connecting door between the apartments which allowed the cooking smells into our apartment which was very strong.

Great location, 2 weeks from the ocean. Very walkable to stores, restaurants, and Woolworths.
Used the indoor pool & hot tub once- nice! I ran on the path along the ocean. My husband used the gym once, but after his run, another guest had his young children wandering around, so my husband left. The booking said hairdryers were available; however, our room did not have one. They were unsure if they would have one the next day, but they did & left it in our room. Only 1 travel-size body wash/shampoo for the two of us for our 4-day stay. Great balcony- windy!

the place is quite large for a single person but much more value for money than a regular hotel.

the bel air is also very well located within the gc being about 15 min away from surfer’s paradise and a 5 min walk away from the pacific fair mall and is even located directly opposite a tram stop and bus terminal stop: which made it easy to get around or to the brisbane gc trainline to go back and forth between the gc and brisbane.

there was some odd choices with the apartment: such has oddly placed wall sockets (you will def need an extension chord to plug items like your laptop and phone in by the table or bedside. the bathroom’s shower “door” is also weirdly position that makes it difficult to test the water temp while trying to manage the water flow and very surprisingly had no anti slip mats. kitchen is fully equipped but had no cups or plates or utensils. the position of the wifi router also made the wifi connectivity poor within the bed room. all these sound like nitpicks but they do affect the quality of the experience and to the staff’s credit they were VERY receptive to my feedback and were quick to respond by bringing me what i requested like a pair of mugs and extension chords. hopefully they address the issues i raised with then wrt to the wifi router and the bathroom for future guests but i will def try to stay at the bel air again should i return to the gc for another trip!

The hotel resort was good with a nice pool/spa area and small gym.

A bit disappointed. The photos Wotif uses are of rooms that have been renovated. The room we had on the 14th floor of the Northern tower was old, dated and missing light bulbs; no balcony lights worked. We contacted reception on the first day to ask for the lights to be fixed so we could sit outside at nightime. We were there for four nights and no one came to fix them.
The curtains had mould on the thermal backing. Each time we pulled the curtains, the family would start sneezing and coughing.
The mattress and base in the master bedroom did not much up; king size base with a double size mattress on top. The base was worn and stained.

Good parking, close to Pacific Fair and tram station.

Its a shame, as our extended family had stayed there and recommended it based on the renovated rooms.

We loved staying at these apartments, super easy with the transport station right across the road for both buses and the tram. Only $1.50 for unlimited travel per day on both! Short stroll to all the delicious restaurants at Broadbeach, and Pacific Fair across the road. The 2 brm apartment we stayed in was HUGE and had amazing views of the ocean. The kids loved both the outdoor and indoor pool when it was a bit colder. Would definately stay here again.

Overall very good, the property is well maintained but due to it's age it looks a little tired. Level 6 (same wing as cafe) has a very pungent smell as soon as exit the elevators. Thankfully the odour doesn't penetrate in the rooms.

I loved the setting, the pool was beautiful. The cafe was a bonus. They were lovely. It was so convenient to everything and looked amazing. My only fault if any, was that the hot water in the shower wasn’t very good. Maintenance looked at it, but it was very intermittent. But would definitely recommend. We will be staying their next time we are at Broadbeach
