It's fairly simple, you get what you pay for. I mean if you want a true 5 star resort or hotel, you have to pay for it, and there are plenty of those up and down the Gold Coast. If you want a nice comfortable room, a decent bed and a clean bathroom, at an affordable price, then this is the place for you. A small complex of 12 rooms, the rooms are quite large - especially if you have stayed in similarly priced accommodations in the UK, Europe and even parts of America. They are clean and on the Gold Coast Hwy, they are actually on Tambourine Street but the frontage is on the Hwy, not too noisy, no free pay TV, but good wifi access. You could easily walk down to the beach, I did, and there are a few eateries around the area. All in all a decent place to stay without the big price tag. Like I said at the beginning, you get what you pay for. Don't expect to stay like a King or Queen and you won't be disappointed.
The only let down was lack of parking spots on the premises, which fill up fast so beware of that if you are driving there, or hiring a vehicle.

Best priced option. Over the road from good eateries and 7/11. Parking was tight but available . Room adequate nothing flash with budget style maintainance. Clean.. Close to beach. Central to both ends of gold coast. Staff were a bit distant and not so friendly. Really good wi- fi....... all in all an enjoyable stay.

Check in experience was horrible even though called and emailed 3 days prior to check in for checkin instructions after office hours. Did not confirm reception will be closed at 5pm. Did not provide check in instructions until later afternoon of the check in date when we are already on the plane and had no Wi-Fi access in a foreign country. would not recommend if you don’t have access to local cellphones. Have almost gave up and tried to book somewhere else when we arrived with no one at reception and it was late and dark. Had to force to set phone on roaming and found the email re check in instructions.

This is value for money, but getting a little run down, but guess the price reflects that. Laundry was not available in the the time we were there. Would recommend for a budget short stay, but perhaps our 9 nights was a little long. However staff were helpful and friendly. Bus stops handy and seemed to be plenty of parking

The Camden Motor Inn was perfect for my trip to Mermaid Waters. There is a Woolies metro, coffee, convenient store, Thai, pizza and bakery right a cross the road. The beach is two minutes away on foot and parking is right underneath.
Even on the main road it was still quiet at night.

Everything went smoothly, except for the excavator at 3am outside our window. Not the fault of the hotel, but not pleasant at all.
Some of the bathroom floor tiles were loose creating a hazard. When told the staff felt embarrased so hopefully they fixed it before the next guest comes in.

The floors were dirty hence we had to wear our shoes in the unit. The valance on the bed was disgusting black marks all over it. No sink in the room. Had to wash dishes in the bathroom hand basin. The floor in the bathroom was wet from a leaking waste pipe. We had to collect clean towels on day 2. Overall very disappointed with the room, untidy, dirty floors and receptionist not willing to assist with our queries. Eg checking ckeanliness of unit before checking in.
