The 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious with 2 bathrooms and a nice little balcony overlooking the pool areas. Tv in the lounge and main bedroom as well as everything you need to cook in the kitchen area. The 2 pools were a good size and looked like a tropical paradise with all the Palm trees surrounding the area. A very comfortable stay. We will definitely be staying there again next time we are on the Gold coast.

Our second time at this resort. The place was under refurbishment and is looking good. The pools are sensational. A very relaxing stay. Only downer was the dogs next door barking early in the morning. We will probably be back next year.

When we arrived on Monday evening, the hotel had a power cut, which made the process of checking in and finding out room extremely challenging. Luckily, the hotel manager (Nelson) was very helpful, despite the lateness and the lack of light.

My boys loved the pools and the very short walk to the beach and we loved the peaceful mornings and the sunrises, sunsets. The views from our balcony, I could sit out there all day, watching my boys swimming in the pool: Everything was close by, it was FABULOUS!

The apartment was not very clean at all; dirty dishes in the cupboard, balconies on both sides floors were sticky, the floor of the apartment was filthy to the point we were shoes the entire time, the main bathroom had dirty feet marks in the bath. Apartment is a great size, this too could do with an uplift & most certainly a decent clean. Location is great & will be even better once the tram works are complete.

First ghastly discovery was the pubic hair on the bathroom floor and foul stench coming from the dishwasher… like something dead there for days. Many broken or poorly maintained fixtures, sliding doors, shower head. Not most expensive place but not cheap either. Checked out after 2. No partial refund offered. Dismal

We had a great stay at Grande Florida Beach Resort. We loved the beach access out the back and the two large pools - one heated and one not so they were perfect for different weather conditions. The BBQ areas and around the property in general were kept clean. Check in/out was easy. The reason for 4 stars over 5 was that some aspects of the resort are older/looking a bit tired e.g. the games room.
Overall we were very happy with the resort and we hope we can make it back sometime.

Love this place. It’s the only place I stay when I go the Queensland. The pool area is great and location to the beach is perfect. The only problem I had this time my apartment I was has was very very basic and old. I had to buy cooking utensils just to be able to cook, the fridge didn’t close properly and the dishwasher handle was broken so it was very hard to open once it was finished. Never had a problem with this resort before so I would still go back just not the apartment number.

Our family had a really great time staying here. The people who run it, so very friendly and helpful with any questions or help we needed. Our unit is in need of an update, but was still very comfortable and lots of kitchen stuff to use. Ours had front and back balcony as it was on the ground floor. Pools amazing and well kept as was the grounds and gardens. Great access to beach.. I would stay again and recommend to others. Had fantastic stay here, would love to return. Thanks to staff!

Great in Some Ways But Bad In Others
We were looking forward to our stay here, having admired this property for many years. Check in was great and first impressions at the front were good, but we were really put off by the state of the stairwell on the way to our room. The stairwell was filthy with drink stains on the floor, sticky carpet on the stairs, dust on the door trims and numerous scuff marks on walls and doors. The stairwell looked like it had not been cleaned, repaired or refurbished regularly. The room on the other hand was quite fine with a great renovated kitchen, renovated bathrooms and good sized bedrooms. Some built up dirt and grime in sliding door and window tracks. On a positive note the pools were fantastic, gardens were fantastic too. The underground parking was quite dirty and smelly. Overall the property needs some updated painting as the colour scheme was from the 80's. I would rate this hotel overall as a 3 star.
