The Australian shape pool was heated but not too hot which made it a pleasure to swim in.
The biggest downfall was people smoking in the outdoor areas of the resort (balconies)
Everything else was fantastic close to bus stops and beach

We were pleasantly surprised by many things with this property.
Although it isn't a brand new building the facilities and apartments are well maintained. The apartments have room to sit and eat which is separate to the bathroom and bedroom. The kitchen and laundry had most things you needed. The grounds were lovely and lush and the pool area was clean and tidy.
The location was a bonus being walking distance to more than a handful of great cafes and restaurants in both directions.

Arrived with a cigarette floor outside the door. Asked for a rollaway bed. Which was listed as an optional extra. Arrived to find they have no rollaway just a poor condition sofa bed that you could not sleep on. Sock left in dryer. Worst of all was a needle hanging out of a sharps container left in the drawer. We took a photo. So disgusted. We had our children with us.

We were welcome by the manager who guided us to our parking spot and help us with our luggage. He took us to our room and ensured we were please with the room.

They prepared our room earlier, so when we arrived they were waiting for us in the carpark, helped us unload the car and took all of our bags up stairs to the room. The room had recently been renovated, it was tidy and clean and they even had the additional bed already made! The pool was also amazing!! It was perfect!! Will definitely stay again!!

The location of the property is good being near the beach & a 10 minute walk to the shops. Make sure U get a unit which does not back onto the highway as the traffic is very noisy & it is difficult to sleep. Whilst the living area of the unit has air conditioning the bedroom & bathroom do not. The bedroom has a fan which only works when the light is on making it difficult to sleep in hot whether.

We used the apartment just to sleep and have coffee. But we found everything clean and comfortable! hot shower, great kitchen for breakfast before the beach! We loved it and wished we had stayed longer to enjoy it more. Note 10 pro receptionist / manager. Very attentive and friendly!

I like the swimming pool best. Then I like everything else that this small resort can offer: clean room with all the basic facilities for home cooking, washing machine and dryer with soap provided, comfy bed, comfy lounge. It is close to the beach, shopping, restaurants, and a short 11 minutes drive to the Gold Coast. We stayed on the top floor and there was no lift, but the yong man at the reception helped bringing our suitcase up and down the stairs, so no problems with that. For about $140 anight, I think our stay at Aussie Resort was one of the most relaxing time that we have had.

I think the name 'resort' is misleading - perhaps 'Aussie Unserviced, Dated Apartments' would be more fitting.
Very disappointed - the room looked very different to pictures online and there was a strange smell.
Room was not serviced once in 4 nights / 5 days. No fresh towels were provided.
I had to take rubbish out to the skip to 'avoid extra charges' - not ideal when you are on an early flight and fumbling around in the dark.
On the plus side - very handy location, across the road from the beach and a short walk to restaurants and shops.

Chris was wonderful during our stay and the room was great. Each apartment gets a parking spot in a controlled access garage, there is a kitchen with every supply needed to make meals at home (even Tupperware), and a washer and dryer in unit. It had everything we needed and was a nice, comfortable apartment.

A great spot to stay at on the Gold Coast

Chris, the manager, was extremely helpful, we had our car parked and us checked into our room within a few minutes. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable the rain shower fantastic. We could have stayed for weeks with the Fridge, Washing Machine, Dryer and Cable TV.

We had a wonderful stay in Aussie Resort. The service I received from Chris was above and beyond. He gave us information where to shop and dine, how to get around. The bed was comfortable and very clean. The size of the property was huge, I should bring my kids with us. Easy to walk to the beach. We will definitely stay there again for our next visit.

Good location, very nice apartment, but the bathroom could do with a bit of an upgrade. Good WiFi. Nice pool and hot tub and underground parking. Only problem was that we had two big cases and we had to lug them up 2 flights of stairs.

We were with four people in the appartement, there was only one bedroom so two people were sleeping in the livingroom. Unfortunally there was no airco in the bedroom, so it was very warm during the night. Opening the window was no option because of the trafficnoise.
But we had a good time in Burleigh Heads.

Worst night’s sleep in recent memory

Bitterly disappointed and quite infuriated after a sleepless night.
The mattress was rock-hard and the bed so old, it slumped in the middle. The rusty old ceiling fan in the bedroom was rickety that it provided no use at all, just a whole lot of noise.
The bathroom no ventilation so smelt all musty and the ceiling showed the resulting mild starting to appear. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly.

Tired and dated “resort”.

The room was very dated and dirty. Backs of curtains were mouldy, dust bunnies hanging from bedroom ceiling, stains on seating to name a few. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the stairwell. The gate code we were supplied didn’t work The charge for the room was way overpriced even for the Gold Coast. Would definitely not recommend this resort.

Aussie resort was in a great location close to the beach and local shops. The pool, BBQ and spa area was great. The rooms are a little outdated and need updating but were liveable. Foxtel was a nice addition. The internet was available but was very unreliable and continually dropped out or was unable to connect.
Overall great location and was suitable for a budget holiday.

This hotel was a last minute booking, I felt it was very expensive for what it is... left in the past, a rabbits warren of paths and stairs. The room smelled like it was the central venue for rissole and sausage cooking in GC. The staff were friendly, when you could find them, check in/reception was over st 5.30 which I found to be very out of step with holiday travel. I liked the assigned car park and the pool and spa. The location is great, easy to find on GC highway, metres from the beach and esplanade. Short drive to all that the GC has to offer. It did the job as there were limited options but I would try to find something better next time.

Great value here, it is nothing flash, cleaner 1x per week, buy ur own toilet paper/washing powder etc, internet is available but terrible (looked like they were in the process of upgrading to fibre) . Resort is outdated but functions nice for a holiday on the cheaper side of things , pools nice and good underground carpark. If u can handle the minor comments above u will have a great stay like we did, we will return.

Needs better cleaning and recycling urgently

It's or forth time staying at Aussie Resort in the past 3 years. The hotel is really nice but need some issues to be addressed ASAP. The rooms need to be cleaned properly as the carpets were filthy (our not so white socks got black in a matter of minutes) and the hard floors quite dirty (a quick swipe with a paper towel returned black). Unfortunately, our washing machine was leaking water and the shower was also leaking water to the rest of the bathroom. We have informed the staff about the leakage of the washing machine but it wasn't fixed until we left a few days after. Our room was number 33. THE HOTEL NEEDS URGENTLY RECYCLING FACILITIES (BINS). I FIND APPALLING FOR ANY HOTEL NOWADAYS NOT TO HAVE RECYCLING FACILITIES. I will stay in the hotel again unless the clearly address the problem listed.

A few things though that need to be reviewed

1 : Wifi did not work at all in the room
(manager set me up to have internet personally so much appreciated)
2 : only 2 towels given 1 laundry sachet and not enough toilet paper for 5 nights stay ? Should be a towel a day at the very least
3 : Room was very very dated and tired looking however it was very clean and still comfortable which is important as I was only there at night anyway to sleep n change . Overall room was fine for what I needed .

Pool disgusting, manager rude & insulting

The room was fine, location good, reception staff nice. Pool was filthy for our entire stay, first night full of leaves and spa full of bugs but very windy so we didn't complain. Next time kids swam it was the same, my son scooped a dead lizard out of pool and no less than 20 bugs from pool and spa before I asked them to get out. When raised with manager he was rude and started insulting me, raised his voice at me in front of my kids.
