I put this in my top 3 all-time hotel experiences. The room itself was great—all the expected accommodations and many more. Very comfortable, quiet and cozy.

You can’t beat the location if you’re going to explore the Old Town.

The attached patisserie is a great spot for breakfast or a treat.

But the thing that made this place so special was the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff. Whether you need help with something or are looking for recommendations, they aim to please.

On top of all that, my room was incredibly affordable. I would have happily stayed much longer if I could have.

From the room decor to the turn down snack to the location on Hoan Kiem Lake to the easily walkable neighborhood and convenient sites...this hotel has it all. Special shout out to Ngan at the desk and Trong at the door for becoming friends during my two night stay. I heartily recommend!

My husband and I stayed in Hanoi for 9 nights in July. We were pleasantly surprised with the amazing hospitality from the front desk and concierge staff!! Everyday, no matter the time of day or night they greeted us (if not attending to other guests) and chatted with us, making us feel at home. They attended to our needs and requests with genuine care.
Our room was beautiful-the air conditioning worked beautifully (a great escape from the outside heat!), the water pressure in the shower was PERFECT, and our mattress was extremely comfortable (just like our home mattress). The turn-down gift each day was so nice (we enjoyed the cookies.)
We loved the room service/restaurant next door! The food was delicious and delivered to our room within a reasonable timeframe. We recommend the spaghetti bolognese and the Umami fried rice!!
We want to thank some of the amazing staff by name: Thuy, Linh, Thao, Hoang as well as anyone else that assisted us during our stay (I apologize we didn’t get your name!) You guys are our “Silk Path family!!!”
THANK YOU SO MUCH for making us feel like we were at home!!! We truly did not want to leave!!! We can’t wait to come back to Hanoi and stay at Silk Path Boutique Hotel!! 💕

Every single day at 4:50 AM sounds music so loud until 8:00 AM. In front of the hotel is a park and they offer Zumba class every morning very loud. I couldn’t sleep after 5:00 AM. Terrible

Excellent location, lovely staff, wonderful room. We splurged on the VIP room and it did not disappoint. Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed, gorgeous bathroom. I cannot state enough how nice the staff were.

The breakfast was great too, different options everyday. I would stay here repeatedly if I came back to Hanoi. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Do not hesitate to book here.

A beautiful hotel right across from Hoan Kiem Lake. Thuy, Hau, Trong Nguyen and the rest of the front of house staff were friendly and informative, and my room was always kept nice and clean by the housekeeping team. There was even fresh fruit and cookies as a turn-down treat!The food in the restaurant was lovely, and there's a gorgeous on site cafe with a good selection of cakes. My airport pick up was good and hassle-free. Overall, would definitely recommend for an Hanoi visit as it is walking distance from many of the main sites.

We had such a wonderful 5-night stay at Silk Path! After a long trip to Hanoi, it was so nice to be greeted by such friendly faces immediately upon arrival. We instantly felt relaxed and comfortable in a new place. They were attentive to all our needs and quick to give fantastic recommendations throughout our stay. We felt sad to leave our new friends but their hospitality make a return to this wonderful city a certainty. Good Location, Bad Overall Experience

It was not a good experience. We had a leak in the bathroom that required visits on 2 different days before it was finally repaired properly. This meant we could not use the toilet for many hours and had to go to the bathroom in the lobby downstairs. Also, the wi fi in the room never worked for more than a few minutes. So, I had to lug my laptop down to the lobby when I needed to use it. Staff was nice but that didn't make up for the problems. I asked for a partial refund and never got a reply. Would not stay here again.

We were moved to another Silk Path Hotel in Hanoi as the air-conditioning had broken down on floor 8 where our rooms were. The replacement hotel was bigger and better and our rooms were upgraded. We also had breakfast thrown in. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful, allowing us to store luggage for 2 days whilst we went on a cruise. On return we were allowed to use shower facilities before our return flight to the UK. The service from the hotel was excellent.

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had! Five star service by very friendly staff. Giang, Linh, Hou, Nhuang and all the staff were exceptional. Beautiful clean hotel with amazing rooftop views. Great location on the lake with many shops and cafes nearby. The hotel owns S’Patisserie next door which has great food as well. Enjoy!

Outstanding location with incredible staff and affordable price. Walkable to everything. The streets are closed on Fri 6pm thru Sunday midnight. The streets come alive with markets, street performers, kids riding small electric cars, etc. Foodie's ideal spot to try a variety of options. Food street, Beer street, train street, and others are all within a few minutes walk.

A very nice hotel in Hanoi Old quarters

The location is amazing . But the road in front is closed as part of the street during the weekend. The Hoam Kim lake are is very vibrant and can be a bit of noise . But it is not an issue to me . But you will find it full of life .

I arrived early to Hanoi and booked one night at Silk Path Boutique hotel before checking into Hanoi Opera Hilton. After two night at the Hilton I checked out and came back to the Silk Path Boutique for remainder of my stay in Hanoi. You can see the facility photos and excellent location (even better than Hilton), though the staff, the service and friendliness is top notch. The staff is helpful arranging taxis, remembers and greets me by my first name and couldn't be more friendly. I\"ve been traveling in Asia for the past three months and this has been the best lodging experience I've had so far. And I don't typically write reviews, this is my first on Expedia. Thank you Silk Boutique, you are the best:)

A small and cozy hotel in a great location. The service here was outstanding. Everyone here including the chamber maids was friendly and polite. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of choices. Beautiful lake outside the hotel. My son jogged round the lake every day as there wasn’t a gym in the hotel. He totally enjoyed it! This hotel is highly recommended.

Nice hotel next to the lake. Originally, I tried to book a lake view but not available. When I arrived at the hotel amazingly there was a lake view room at an extra cost.

The room itself was very nice but small. We were also disturb in the morning by some renovation work being carried ou next door.

Breakfast was a problem. This was ordered the day before. When the breakfast arrived it all came at once and some of it was missing. Not good.

We returned here after a few days in Sapa. It was like coming home. The staff are really excellent- nothing is too much trouble. They helped us with directions, booking taxis - whatever we asked. They even let us know our flight had changed when we were on the way to the airport. Room was comfortable so was bed and shower was great.

We stayed two nights at this hotel, separated by a trip to HaLong Bay. The rooms were nice and comfortable, the bathrooms and towels were nice too. The staff was friendly and helpful, every time we came in the lobby. They held our luggage while we were on our trip to HaLong bay. We were upgraded on our second night to a deluxe room and it was very large and comfortable. The only (minor) complaint we had is that the breakfast is slower. It's not a buffet and you have to fill out an order form and they serve it in courses. We thought we could pop down and eat quickly before our early pick up but we had to order. They served the omelette then didn't serve the fruit until we were finished with omelette so we didn't get that course as our tour pick up arrived. They wouldn't pack it up to take with us either. It's fine, just good to know how it works so you can plan on enough time if you have a tight schedule.

Our stay at the Silk Path Boutique hotel was amazing, the service is absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the attention to detail and kindness of everyone who worked in the hotel. Our room was stunning with a view over the lake, the bed was very comfortable. It was our first stop in Vietnam and the staff gave us so much advice and arranged things for us when we needed assistance. I highly recommend this hotel, it was elegant, welcoming and added so much to our entire experience of Hanoi and we will definitely stay there again when we return.

Convenient location with lots of restaurants nearby. They ask that you Preorder breakfast and let them know what time you want it and it’s speedy And has a variety of options. If you stay in a weekend the street is closed for pedestrians so your shuttle / taxi drops you off on the corner requiring you to negotiate luggage through a very busy area. Lovely bathroom amenities.

Great boutique hotel in Hanoi

The hotel is quiet modern and located right next to the Lake. It is very convenient to walk around to old quarter area. The good and bad side of the location is because the lake area becomes fun park and street gets blocked, it can be a little inconvenient if you are arriving from the airport on the weekend, and little noisy from the room. We stayed #704, very spacious but small windows. The best thing about the hotel is staff are very friendly and they all try to remember your name. Highly recommend this hotel!

The moment I arrived they tried to push a $40 upgrade on me claiming the room I had purchased was not any good. I paid for breakfast but they tried to sell it as an option and I walked out of the place. Stay away from this place because you may end up with a huge bill you never expected. I’ve read a lot of the same stories about them on other travel sites so it’s my own fault for not heeding to the warnings of others. Don’t make the same mistake as me

The roof top terrace, the way hotel is advertised is not ready yet, so if this forms part of your choice better you take it out of your bucket list. Nonetheless, if ever to go back to Vietnam I would definitely stay in Silk Path!!

I loved staying in this hotel. Mr Hai Ang Le on the desk was extremely helpful. All of the staff are so polite and eager to help. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The onsite restaurant and cafe great. The hotel has the best location right beside the lake. On weekends the rd in front of hotel is closed to traffic, which is great for comfort and noise. You can walk everywhere you would like to go in the old centre, or easily get a taxi or bike.

Fantastic service, amazing staff, cant fault

The perfect location right on the doorstep of Hoan Kiem lake - we stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and wished it could have been longer! The staff absolutely bent over backwards to help us. We had a train to Sapa booked for the night of the day we were due to check out, so the staff actually kept our room for us for the entire day for no cost. This way, we could still walk around the old quarter, come back and shower and chill out in the air con before we needed to get to the train station for our 10pm train. We couldn't thank the staff enough. When you are in Hanoi, sweating and stinking after a day of walking, this is something that you just cannot appreciate enough!
The room was spectacular - extremely big and comfortable, and the bed was just perfect. We cannot praise this hotel and its amazing staff enough. The currency exchange rate offered at the hotel was also fantastic value for money.
