A beautifully situated and well appointed boutique hotel graced with courteous, efficient, multilingual staff. The pool and decking is framed with magnificent Mediterranean pines and rosemary. Gym is well equipped and the breakfast buffet abundant. Bedlinen is the finest, softest most silken cotton and the pillows provide a sweet slumber. Clientele in July was a mix of Portuguese ( a good sign when you stay in a country that its own people choose it) and some English, Irish and Italians. Guests were mostly well behaved.

Really boring hotel, in the middle of villamoura but in a housing estate, personally I hated it the worst decision I have made when booking a hotel, you even have to put the kettle on the floor which is attached to a tray so basically a pain, also just really boring boring room and hotel

Nice hotel room, easy and free parking, clean and variety of options at breakfast.
Rang room service 3-4 times and no answer. My hotel room didn’t have tea/coffee refill filled correct, packets were left empty. When I asked the hotel they said we ran out and they’ll check and bring some up. They didn’t turn up.

Nice hotel about a mile from centre of Vilamoura. No kitchen facilities while we were there but breakfast was organised in the nearby Hilton Hotel. Not a 4 star hotel more like a 3 star. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities of the hotel (excluding the bedrooms) were basic.

Absolutely perfect stay could not have been better

This is the most fabulous hotel, small and perfectly run. The room was excellent, great bed, really nice bedding and lovely big bath towels. Breakfast was amazing as was the evening buffet. All of the staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. I would not stay anywhere else in vilamoura and can’t wait to stay here again.

Great hotel in a quiet, residential location. Fairly close to the action (5-10 mins drive). You can also use the shuttle bus from the Hilton hotel next door if you go to the beach.

We’ve just come back after a wonderful stay at the Vilamoura Garden Hotel. The staff were amazing, especially Ariana in particular, she was wonderful with our little girls at breakfast and made them feel extra special. The room was wonderful and cleaned daily. The only fault I had with the hotel was that the pool was freezing so would have been great to be heated. There are also a lot of trees around the pool so it was quite shaded for a lot of the day. There was also a supply issue of some of the drinks that were listed on the menu but weren’t available, which was a little frustrating. Nevertheless we really enjoyed this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to return! Thanks to all the staff!

Had a fabulous stay at Vilamoura Garden & there are a lot of plus points..including staff,space and accessibility to the marina via the shuttle bus..However on a negative side,the swimming pool area could be updated and please do not accept room number 125,it was large and spacious but the all evening noise from the restaurant below was at times far too much..
Hearing chairs being moved and doors being shut did affect the stay..
I would recommend and stay in another room if i was to visit again though..

Lovely hotel, the pictures do not do it justice. We had a family room, which was very large with an extremely comfortable Queen bed and a large lounge. The pool area is small but adequate for our needs but I would not recommend this hotel for young families as it would be difficult to keep the kids entertained. The area is nice with some hidden gems of restaurants near by and only a 30 min walk to the marina. Alternatively there is the free shuttle service, but we used Uber for less than 4 euro each way. Breakfast was fairly basic but very good quality. There are some nice beaches near by but we found having a car very useful which enabled us to discover some of the best beaches on the Algarve if not the best in Europe. Would highly recommend for couples and golfers.

Staff really friendly and helpful, pool on the small side but nice and there were always plenty of sun loungers. On our last day there were a few families with children arrive we were leaving so no issue but it felt like it was going to get louder and I think people need to be aware if not with kids going in school holidays that the beach might be a better option. Free shuttle bus to marina and beach is a really nice touch (from Hilton over the road), rooms are a little dated but beds v comfy. Breakfast was good, decent amount of choice, bar small but nice and lunchtime snacks / meals very tasty. All in all we really enjoyed it and would not hesitate to return in the future!

Staff, rooms, were excellent. Pool was clean and attractive but only 1.5 metres deep. Shuttle bus to marina and beach was convenient (1 block away). Due to leg injury decided to eat in hotel 3 nights. Was the best meals we had during our 6 day stay. Last 2 mornings we had no hot water for the morning showers. I’m sure it’s fixed now. Breakfast included was very good. Overall very good value and would stay again. Thanks

WHAT! a hotel. Unbelievable from start to finish. I shouldn't be 4 star it should be 5 star. Second time staying here. Last time being 2 years ago and staff remembered us. SO helpful, rang taxis, booked covid tests, food was fabulous, location 5 minutes from vilamoura marina, quiet, luxurious, amazing modern rooms and bathrooms. Any request was actioned, even gluten free. Just brilliant. Thank you to all the amazing amazing staff. The staff are beyond excellent and the hotel is beautiful and modern, very clean. Fab hotel! Rooms were clean and very spacious, comfy bed! Pool isn’t the biggest however there were always sun loungers free. There wasn’t a great deal of variety for breakfast, it was the same each morning but the staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for you. Around a 20 min walk to the Marina so good location if you want to be just enough out of the way!

Excellent stay, great hotel for a quiet break. No problem getting sun beds around the pool. We opted to eat in the restaurant 3 times during our 5 night stay, great menu and delicious food. Service throughout was great, particular thanks to Rui and Magda who both did a great job in the restaurant at breakfast and in the evening. Room was spacious and extremely clean, we had a pine view on level 1 looking across to the Hilton Hotel and Golf Course. Great shuttle service provided by the Hilton for guests of the Garden Hotel to the Marina and Beach. Overall a fantastic hotel and very relaxing stay, we will be back!

Very enjoyable stay at Vilamoura Garden Hotel. Staff very friendly and overall customer service very good.
Our family had two rooms - a king size garden room and twin garden room. Very spacious and clean, with lovely balconies overlooking a residential area and golf course.
Hotel is relatively small and because of this there was no mad rush at breakfast time. Very nice breakfasts and very pleasant to be able to enjoy them on the terrace overlooking the pool.
A good walk away from the marina (pluses and minuses to this) but courtesy bus available from the nearby Hilton Hotel.

The air conditioned pool view room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The king sized bed was particularly roomy and the cotton sheets were pristine and soft. More than adequate hanging and storage space plus a safe for that added security. Room serviced every day with decaffinated options and plenty of toiletries.
Never had to wait for the lift.
The whole hotel was comfortable with very welcomed air conditioning.
Reception was always manned and all staff spoke English, happy to help and provided pool towels daily.
Very nice seating area in reception, however eating in this area was not permitted.
Restaurant was very well laid out and continually stocked with a wide variety of hot and cold breakfast items. Sun parasols provided on the terrace to dine in comfort. The food was excellent, I had bed and breakfast as standard but still used the restaurant and bar to eat. They restaurant opened at 7pm and I like to eat early, they prefer a reservation in the restaurant even if there is no one else there. Bar served food all day.
The pool is small and isn’t deep enough for swimming lengths but despite this it it very welcomed cool down. More than adequate loungers and parasols which are well looked after and the setting is quiet and tranquil.
The Hilton hospitality bus is a god send for drop off to beach or marina, be a good 10 minutes early for return journey though as you could get caught out!
I had a very comfortable stay at Vilamoura Garden and very likely to return.

We loved everything about this hotel. Everyone of the staff were extremely helpful and so friendly and very accommodating. The room was very spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable and a proper large queen size bed and not your typical two single bed pushed together. The breakfast was excellent and the poolside and lounge food during the day was great,especially the surf and turf salad. The evening menu was also excellent and better than most restaurants we visited in the Marina. I would strongly recommend this hotel for family and couples. We will definitely be returning. The only negative is the distance from the Marina, but it is a lovely walk into the Marina and only takes 20 minutes stroll.

The area is residential with lovely houses but if your looking for nearby restaurants/bars it’s a 20 mins walk to the Old Village where you’ll find Le Rendezvous that do the best Goats Cheese you’ll ever taste :) or 30 mins walk down to the Marina.

The hotel is conveniently located for the golf course but a little way out from the marina (only a very short drive or a 20-25 minute walk).

The staff in the hotel are all very friendly and helpful and a real selling point of the hotel. The rooms are a really good size and while the pool and parking areas are small, this was never a problem.

There are only two downsides to the hotel. The first is that while the rooms area very generous size, the bathrooms are so small that they barely fit everything in, and you have to do a bit of a dance to be able to close the door. An extra few feet would still have left for a very big bedroom and made a huge difference to the bathroom. The bathrooms could also really do with an update with the bath definitely having seen better days.

The other area (which I know other visitors have mentioned) is that the choice of both food and particularly drinks at breakfast is very limited.

Overall good value for money.

Amazing hotel, the service, the accommodation, very large bed which was very comfortable, everything could not be faulted. The little extras such as mens and womens dressing gowns, perfect for my small partner, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, I could go on but you get the idea. Will definitely be returning and would recommend it. No child facilities but you have free of charge access to the big hotel next door which has a large play area, children’s pool and baby minding facilities. We spotted a cot being installed which was top of the range.
All the reviews are excellent or very good and they are correct.

Just got back from here, lovely holiday, excellent staff, nothing too much trouble. Food is really nice, lots of choices for breakfast, and dinner served to you NOT a buffet. All in all would highly recommend. Only down side is musical chairs chasing the sun round the pool, I had understood there was a roof terrace from another review, and others we met said the same, that would have added the final touch and made it all round excellent.

We stayed here for a week and we’re not disappointed. This hotel is clean, well kept (like new), comfortable large bedrooms, amazing staff, the reception staff cannot do enough to help, wether it’s printing bus timetables or quieries. Breakfast is very good, plenty to choose from and well presented. It’s a small but perfect hotel, it’s in a nice quiet area of Vilamoura. We only used the shuttle once, but found the walk into the Marina lovely. Just a walk from the hotel you will come to a beautiful garden area that runs down the middle of the road this takes you to the centre, it’s a lovely walk if your able, takes about 25 mins, we even walked back on an evening. Not far from the hotel is a supermarket and a cafe called Sailors corner, this a must for a meal.

Quiet relaxing hotel

The hotel was a small quiet and peaceful which is what we wanted for this trip. There was a shuttle bus available to and from the Marina or beach which operated regularly throughout the day.

Hotel food was great - had lunch and dinner there. My wife is celiac and the hotel worked well to ensure she avoided gluten.

Algarve alternative

Lovely alternative for a break especially if wanting to play golf or visit other parts of the Algarve and it's traditional restaurants such as in Quarteira.
The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. A broad range of options for breakfast and friendly staff. Small downside was the pool area. Small pool and with a maximum depth of 1.1 meters it cant be described as a pool which was a shame.

Nice hotel bit of a walk to beach

Arrived before check in but were happy to allow us to leave case and change if we wanted to sit around pool. On the whole the hotel is spotless and rooms more than adequate not a large pool but ok. Breakfast was very nice but the same each day. In all we had a very pleasant stay although a good 15 -20 minute walk to marina but complimentary shuttle available from nearby Hilton hotel only 75yards away. Would recommend and use again but it’s your choice.

The bed was very comfortable, shower good, bathrooms cleaned well. Cleaning in bedrooms could have been better a lot of dust on the lockers and TV unit. No hot water for 2 hrs one evening and air con not working another evening. Reception staff lovely. Overall enjoyable stay.

Great hotel

Hotel located in a quite part of Vilamoura circa 25min walk marina - however only 4.5 euros by Uber. Rooms were big with very large bed and kept clean. Pool area was slightly bigger that what the photos showed and had no issues getting a bed - but the angle of the building and surrounding tress mean some beds go into the shade and both ends of the day

Things to improve on - more draws I'm room - Air Con more powerful

Overall a very nice hotel and I would return this this hotel next time I visit Vilamoura

Extremely clean, small hotel in good area.

This hotel is located 25 min walk from Vilamoura marina. It’s immediately beside the Hilton. There’s a shared bus to the town center but we walked most of the time. Very pleasant walk. The hotel is smallish - guests are generally couples of all ages. Hotel is very clean with a very good breakfast. Staff are excellent and very friendly. Facilities are very good but families might want a larger pool and outdoor area. I would recommend this hotel without any hesitation.
