Great place to stay. Villas were very modern with good WiFi and everything you needed to be self catering. Good air conditioning too and TV. Patio led to a very nice pool area and there was a bar/cafe too. We stayed with kids and it was perfect for them. Fully recommend and would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here a couple of times a few years ago and really enjoyed it .. the villas have recently been modernised to a really high standard .. it was lovely having the bistro/bar on site and we ate there most days the food was excellent .. we will definitely be back next year

Staff very friendly. There are only about 15 or so villas in this complex that has a pool and a bar/bistro. There is a shop and a nice restaurant only a walk away. Its a quite area and feels safe. This is our second time here and more than likely book here again. There is no problem hanging by the pool all day if you are waitibg for later flight as we were. We changed in the spotless bar before transfers arrived. Happy days!

Fabulous holiday

We arrived at Prado Villas late at night so the welcome pack was a nice touch. The villa was lovely and had everything needed for a really comfortable stay, all very modern and clean. The pool and garden areas were beautiful couldn’t ask for any better. The staff were all very friendly and helpful accommodating all of our needs, even allowing us to check out later. The area was a 30 min stroll from the marina and nearest supermarket 10 mins, but taxis were reasonable approx 6 euros to marina. If you want to have a night in there was a snack bar with a variety of meals. Will definitely return here couldn’t have wished for a better holiday.

Nice quiet complex of only 18 apartments in groups of three. Well maintained grounds with plenty of space around each apartment. The apartment had been recently refurbished and was very good with excellent wifi. The staff were really nice and very helpful. Overall an excellent location and apartment.

Glorious peace & quiet

A truly relaxing place to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. Extremely well appointed villa in well laid out gardens and nice and warm, considering it's late January! Only down side of January is that so many local restaurants are closed for the 'season' but the excellent kitchen makes self catering a dream.

Really looking for criticism, the lighting in the en-suite was unfinished with bare wires in the ceiling but that was in no way a problem.

Advice: do have a hire car! It is only a era pleasant 30 minute walk to town but if you want a decent food shop you really need the 7 minute drive to the nearest hypermarket rather than the Intermarche or Spa which are closer.

Isabel on reception was an absolute treasure.Nothing was any trouble,always cheerful only to happy to help.the on site bistro was very good.Tracy was charming,efficient and pleasant.the Villa was very spacious and modern and very clean with maid service 3 times for the week we were there,and very well placed for all amenities.Pool was nice and clean with a \"no towels left on lounges\" rule which though we had plenty choice for loungers will be very good when in peak season.All in all a very nice relaxing well maintained place in a nice quiet residential area and one hopefully we will have the opportunity return to

The villas are set in a beautiful location with the golf course to one side. The pool area is clean and relaxing. The free air conditioning in the villas is more than welcome in a very hot country especially at night.

Lovely spacious villas, clean and friendly staff.

Quite a walk into Vilamoura marina but a lovely quiet setting next to the golf course. The villa was clean and spacious just due a little modernising which we discovered will be done in 2017, however they were equipped with everything you would need. The pool and bar/food area was lovely with very friendly staff. Always plenty of sun loungers available. I would highly recommend this place for a peaceful getaway!!

Lovely villa set in beautiful surroundings!

Had a lovely relaxing week at the villa. It was clean, spacious, had all the essentials needed, good shower with plenty of hot water. The pool was lovely, clean and never too cold. There were always plenty of sun loungers available. Although the villa was quite a walk from Vilamoura Marina it was in such a beautiful peaceful setting, with butterflies fluttering about, birds tweeting and flying around, just perfect!! The staff were all very welcoming and helpful too.

Good value, but be prepared!

Complex built in 60s.2 bedroom tariff villas are recently renovated and well equipped. One bedroom tariff villas are the 2 bedroom villas in their original state, which means the kitchen especially is in a dilapidated state, and the bedrooms and bathroom tired. However, the price reflects their condition and represents good value. Beautifully laid out site.

Be prepared and hire a car

As previous visitors have stated Prado Villas are more than ready for a refurbishment. On the plus side everything worked ok and the new air con units were a bonus. The kitchen was well equipped. The staff were really nice and helpful.

However the fridge in the villa had some rusty shelves and the freezer inside cover was broken off. The pool was a health hazard until it was cleaned after nine days or so but in all fairness there was some bad weather. There are a family of cats which are a nuisance as it is impossible to eat outside on the terrace or leave any doors or windows open as they are constantly begging for food and trying to get inside.

Putting the negatives to one side we still had a lovely holiday and were comfortable enough and I am sure if the management update the accommodation and sort out more security they could do really well. The location is so nice but a car is advisable as there is nothing much nearby.

Lovely apartment, easy to organise with Expedia, two things that could be improved, the communication you get regarding the out of hours key collection for the aprtment, we had to contact the aprtments ourself from the UK, (far easier to do this than contact Expedia).

The company who experia used for transfers, we were told it was EV tours, couldn't get hold of them to find out what to expect at the airport, also they were part of a bigger organisation which took some finding out about at Faro airport on arrival, and they didn't bother picking us up from the apartment (even after arranging it the day before), for the transfer to the airport, had to get ourselves a taxi in a rush was a bit stressful.

Good value villa - Lovely Location

For the price this was good value, standard villa with air conditioning throughout. Two good sized rooms meant that we were not cramped up with the kids (5 and 7 yrs) in the same room during the evening, main bathroom very dated which was the biggest let down but you get what you pay for I guess. The outside area also needs a little TLC as it is a little rough around the edges but it certainly does not define Prado Villas in my opinion. Isabelle at the reception was a pleasure to deal with and made us feel really welcome during our stay
The villa complex was quiet during most of our stay and there was only around 4 people in the large pool at any one time my, children loved this as they had the pool to them selves.
We were also able to use the pool facilities at the nearby Prado do Golf which also has a bar which was ok for lunch with the kids.
The Prado Villa complex is quite a walk from the marina area, ok for me and my wife but too much for the kids fortunately I had hired a car and was able to drive close to the marine area when needed.
Vilamoura is a wonderful town with some lovely restaurants and great beaches. I personally did not find anything too expensive, certainly no more than in the UK. If you are looking for civilized accommodation and town then this may be the place for you. If all you want is super cheap swill and loads of uncouth Brits then look elsewhere. All in all I would definitely visit Prado Villas again and I am not the easiest person to please!

Very nice villa complex for quiet break

Perfect if you are looking for a relaxing break away. A bit of a walk to the nearest shops and the marina but taxis can always be found at the nearby hilton hotel. Villa was in great condition and
kept very clean and insect free. The reception staff are very friendly and super helpful. Would definitely return again in the future.

Best have a car for this one !

These bungalows are in a lovely setting/ gardens etc. The complex is quite far from the centre/marina in Vilamoura and requires a taxi ride (5-6 euros) each way, or a hire car. The surrounding area is all residential with no supermarkets/ coffee shops etc. within easy reach. This rather disappointed us as we like to have a coffee and \"watch the world go by\" mid morning, or pop to the local shop for fresh rolls each day.
On average it cost us 12-14 euro per return trip to the marina each evening to eat out/ collect food supplies.
The reception staff were pleasant and helpful although reception is only open 09.00-13.00 and 14.00-18.00 Monday to Friday. The maid service is twice weekly, but I only had clean sheets once in 14 days and towels get changed twice a week.
The bungalow we had was ok, a bit tired and a few fittings were in need of repair. It was however very clean and had the basics for a holiday. (there were the usual Ants which were seen off with a spray, and a good few cats who were always on the look out for an open door!)

For the price it was as good as you could expect and very peaceful in a nice area, but a bit further from amenities than we would have preferred.

Amazing atmosphere

Could not have asked for a better get away! The atmosphere was incredible. The villas were very large with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen was awesome as well and we did a lot of cooking while in our villa. The cats outside were very interested in us the first day but left us alone after that. We spent a lot of time lounging by the pool and swimming. We had the villa to ourself for one of the days because it was mid-week and the off season so that was great! Very helpful staff :)

The accommodation is dated but spacious. The location is residential, the nearest shop is approximately 15 min walk, the marina is a 30 min walk away. We had a lovely relaxing stay, weather in February was great.
The trips reception have on offer are expensive, we booked an all day coach trip near the marina and saved 18 euros per person.
Complimentary wi fi was only available outside reception and connection was slow and unreliable.

Nice little self-catering place

This is a lovely little place if you only need somewhere to sleep and cook a few meals. We stayed for a week at the end of October with our 4yr old son who loved it. Yes it is a bit old and dated like the reviewers have said, however, that doesn't stop you getting a good night's sleep, or cooking a meal. Th3 2 bedroom villas are aopen plan and are quite spacious. The bedrooms are large too, and you have one with an en-suite and then there is a main bathroom with double sink. Remember this is no frills, and although extraa blankets are provided in the closets, you will not get extra pillows, only one per twin, so depending on your preferences, you may want to bring along a few. Towels are provided. There are heaters, however one did not work in Villa no. 13 where we stayed, and we did need some heating at night considering the time of year. The swimming pool is very clean but not heated, so not ideal at this time of year. Isabel on reception is lovely, and does her best to accommodate any requests that you may have. There is also free wi-fi access in and around the reception area. We braved it one day, but said that was enough for the rest of the holiday. It is a little far from the shops and marina for litlle legs, but he did well to walk down every down most days, and then we got a taxi back for around 5 euros. There are plenty of buses that can take you to Faro or neighbouring towns. All in all, we had a lovely time, and cannot complain. We would return again.

Perfect for a getaway on a budget!

Second time we've stayed at Prado Villas, it's not the Hilton but it is round the corner!

Villas are clean but basic with full kitchen facilities, they can get chilly at night out of season so extra blankets are a bonus.

Close to the centre of Vilamoura but the lively resort of Albufeira is just a 20 minute drive away. As a golfer you are perfectly placed to get to any of the area'scourses.

Overall very happy again with our stay, Isabel (the manager) is very welcoming too.

A 'Get away from it all' holiday..

Peaceful, Beautiful and spotlessly clean. Yes, a few things need attention but the important things are right. We enjoyed ourselves and intend to return.
Half an hour on foot to the marina. Quarter hour to the nearest supermarket. We felt a car was necessary, younger, fitter people might disagree.

Prado villas is situated in a good quiet area,if you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday with you,re own facilities to cook if you wish it,s perfect.If you want wi-fi you have to go to reception area to get on-line,the receptionist is very friendly.The pool area is good with plenty of sunbeds.I had a car, you could do without if you like walking !20 mins walk into Vilamoura!I would recommend hiring a car it is cheap.Value for money it,s 5 out of 5, not a place to stay if you want to party.Overall a great cheap relaxing holiday with no hesitation in recommending.

Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Isobel in the office. The villa was spacious and included good features ie family bathroom had 2 washbasins, bidet, wc and bath with shower. The villa needs some TLC having faulty mirrored bedroom door, cupboards in kitchen need readjusted and needs repainting. However none of these faults were major and didn't stop us having a wonderful holiday in Villamoura.

All lovely in the outside areas. Quiet villas with plenty of room. Décor is very dated and the fixtures and fittings all need replacing. If you want basic but reasonably priced then book but if you want any quality then don't. Bedroom was 30 degrees. No air con. No sleep!! Not for a lads/girlies holiday more suited to older couples and families. Staff all very polite and helpful

Very chilled out, relaxing location and is 20-30 minute walk from center. Villas are good size and well equipped. Not much in the way of a reception and almost no staff on site. All in all a great base for an independent, organised holiday maker looking for some good accommodation in tranquil surroundings.

Although some of the fixtures and fittings are a little worn this is reflected in the price, the villa was spotlessly clean and very well equipped although you may want to bring soap, flannel and a hairdryer. This holiday accommodation is for people who enjoy peace and quiet and enjoy entertaining themselves. Reception is open during office hours, if you arrive after it closes your instructions will be in an envelope on the door. There is a supermarket a couple of minutes drive away where you can pick up drinks and snacks to enjoy by the large pool which is surrounded by well kept gardens. A family of friendly black cats visited us daily and brought us luck in the casino at villamoura! The casino is open from 3pm no membership required and no dress code, plenty of 1c, 2c, 5, and 10c slots including cleopatra, white orchid and many british favourites.

This is an ideal place for a relaxing out of season break and electric fires are provided for the cooler evenings.

Only for families on a budget

We arrived on a Friday afternoon and left on Monday morning. The reception was not open at any time, so even if there was internet/wifi available in the office, it was not available in the individual villas. Our unit did not have a coffeemaker nor a microwave nor basic necessities such as a dishrag, dish towel, salt or soap and the beds were as hard as rocks. It is not practical to walk to the town, although the surrounding neighborhood is lovely. The pool is quite nice and each villa had a private patio. These would be accommodations more suitable for families, especially those who drive there and can bring their own beach towels, food staples, toilet paper, etc. The large two bedroom/2 bath/4 single bed we rented could be suitable for a longer stay with more comfortable bedding and a microwave, but not during summer time temperatures since there is no air conditioning or even a fan. Two of our 3 nights were noisy with the open window situation. Overall, I would recommend with the above qualifications.

A real hidden gem!

This is probably the 5th time we've stayed at Prado Villas and it never fails to deliver. The individual villas are all well maintained and spotlessly clean, as is the pool area and the surrounding grounds. Maybe a bit off the beaten track but that's all part of the charm and keeps it quiet both day and night.

Prada villas is a brilliant place to stay.
Although slightly out of the way. Only took 20-25 minutes to walk to the marina.
Also about same time to the casino.
We walked to the marina and used taxis to get back at night.
Taxis only cost around €4 so excellent value for money and was about a 5-7 minute taxi ride.
Caught a taxi to faro town from Prada villas and that cost €24 one way.
Also the same from marina to faro airport.
All in all was a brilliant place to stay.

The villas were very clean & comfortable although the bathrooms could do with a little updating. Plenty of hot water & clean linen. Nice pool area with lots of comfy sunbeds which were always available. Very quiet surroundings so always got a good night's sleep.
One drawback was that there isn't a shop or bar on site so it was a bit of a walk in the heat to get snacks or supplies. Also it was a good 20 mins walk to the Marina which was fine for us as we like walking but wouldn't suit everybody.

upon arrival at Manchester airport check in we were told that our baggage wasn't paid for, £76 later we were on our way. Verbal confirmation of baggage inclusion was given by Expedia before travelling.

Monarch were usual solid performers with both flights on time.

Prado villas was perfectly pleasant although very basic but comfortable enough. The TV didn't work very well and kitchen appliances could do with updating.
That said i'm not sure you will find better value for money anywhere on this site and the staff were very friendly.
A car is a must as would be a good 20 minute walk to marina and central Vilamoura.

We have just (Oct 2010) spent two weks at Prado Villas. It was our third visit and will not be our last. A very pleasant site, spotlessly clean site and villa. Well equipped and comfortable, it would be very difficult to beat at or near the price.
3/4 mile from the centre of Vilamoura, a car is, if not essential, very advisable.

We spent two weeks at the beginning of October. For a quiet relaxing holiday It would be difficult to beat except at a much higher price. It was our second visit and we will probably return next year.
In view of the distance to the marina and beaches a car is desirable. There is a supermarket , a couple of snack bars and a small restaurant within easy walking distance but the supermarket is very limited in scope.

We would certainly go again!

Isabel who greeted us at Reception was extremely professional, helpful and kind. The pool was beautifully maintained and clean. The villa was slightly tired-looking and would benefit from a refurbishment, and either air-con or fans. The maids/cleaners were excellent and friendly. It was a pity that the bistro/restaurant weren't open, as we feel they would do good business selling drinks, ices, breakfasts, etc.. Nice restaurant/meal at Prado do Golf, with nice staff, doing good business at Prado Villas loss... but still a car drive away. Car is essential for easy access to shops, town etc..

Too far from anything. Bar and bistro not open and havn't been open for at least 4yrs. We where not told this before we went. People should be informed about this.You need a car to get anywhere.No aircon which you need because you can not open your windows at night because of mozzies.It gets too hot and stuffy in the rooms at night. Would not go back again.

Lovely quiet place to stay although not that straight forward to find. We hired a car so we were able to explore the surrounding area without any problem. On arrival no-one was at reception but there was a mobile number on the door which we rang and a maid soon appeared with our key. Basic accommodation,bathroom a bit tired looking but spotlessly clean. The sprinklers were annoying as they went off at what seemed 3am every morning and were very noisy. No AC, but felt safe enough to keep windows open at night. Not sure about the security on doors and windows was adequate enough though but there is a safe in the room for your valuables. We were a little concerned about this as there was some building work going on nearby with people coming and going. Very friendly staff and would use again as so cheap and good value for money.

Great Value, Good Location

Fantastic value, well equipped villas, need a car to get around and there are some great beaches and places to eat within striking distance. Is a bit of a place to find so hopefully this will help follow signs to Hilton, as you approach roundabout directly in front of Hilton hotel take the 3rd exit ( Caminto dos golfes) so the Hilton is on your right, then take the first left opposite the rear entrance/exit to the Hilton (caminto dos pinhais) then take the right turn approx 150 yards onto (caminto do miradouro) then prado villas is approx 100 yards on the right ( volta de manha)

We booked Prado Villas because they were cheap, and did not expect much. We were very pleasantly surprised. The site is quite spacious, and the villas are relatively private. The villas themselves are simple and spacious with comfortable beds and good showers. The kitchen is a bit basic, and you would struggle to produce a special meal, but not many people would want to do that anyway. Definately use this place again.

Voor de 2e keer in dit resort. Hadden dezelfde 2 kmr bungalow voorzien van airco/verwarming. Er waren wat kleine onderhoudsissues maar die zijn vrijwel direct opgelost door de directie. Het is wel goed om telefonische afspraken over prijs etc ook schriftelijk te laten vastleggen. Rustige omgeving met zwembad. Parkeren is niet bij de bungalow maar in de buurt van de ingang. Bed en badkamer zijn ok. TV heeft 20 kanalen, geen nederlands wel engelstalig.
