A beautiful hotel, great facilities and exceptional food. Lunch and cocktails in the bar, the buffet breakfasts and fine dining in Tropis were all delicious and not ridiculously priced. The staff literally couldn't do enough for us, from welcoming us, helping with luggage, booking activities and every interaction in between, everyone was very helpful, spoke beautiful English and made our trip very enjoyable.

From the welcome on arrival until the moment we left, the staff were outstanding. Beautiful hotel and grounds, meticulously maintained. We have been going to Vilamoura for years & stayed in some lovely hotels but since staying at the Domes Lakes we look no further.Its a great location near to the marina.The staff are wonderful & always on hand to make sure eveything is perfect.The rooms & the food is of a high standard with so much variety.The outside area is beautiful so many different areas to relax in or have a nice walk round the lake.Thank you once again for our wonderful stay & cant wait to return next year.

Loved it all, comfortable giant bed, lovely heated pools etc but my only complaint was the lighting in the room, there was nowhere to put makeup on at all!, I had to buy a ready lit mirror in the local IHop shop but there was nowhere to put it, I think women like to look nice on holiday and this was disastrous for me but that was the only complaint.

My partner and I had a wonderful babymoon here, the Guest Relations team were fantastic and really thoughtful! We were welcomed with wine, champagne, chocolates, macarons and balloons and felt truly celebrated. The facilities are wonderful, really relaxing by the pool and the hotel was just a few steps away from the beautiful Praia de Falesia beachfront. The buffet breakfast and dinner were delicious and everyday we tried different foods! We have left feeling well fed (definitely gained more than just pregnancy pounds) and very relaxed!!

My daughter (aged 9) and I have just returned from a lovely week at Domes Lake Algarve and she is already asking when we can go back. The hotel is a great balance of big, but not too big. We were there mid-August (which I imagine will be one of the busiest weeks of the year) but always managed to find sunbeds when needed and the sand pool is a genius concept. My daughter also loved her sessions at KiEPOS (kids club) which gave me some time to relax and enjoy the spa. A great week all round.

The Domes lake hotel is in a fantastic location for the Vilamoura marina. It’s only a 10 minute walk away from the beach and marina. The hotel also has restaurants and We have had a great relaxing holiday there and we can’t praise it enough. I can’t name any member of staff as they all work together as a team and nothing is too much trouble to make your stay more enjoBreakfast has a very good wide choice to suit everyone. Housekeeping is also excellent they come at least once a day and you can ask at the desk if you need them to do an evening service. Water is complimentary every day and left in the room. Domes Lake is an excellent property this is the second time we’ve been back here in two years but it’s the first time we tried the dining buffet and was quite disappointed they have the silly lamps on all the tables which go on and off from the batteries run out and the staff don’t seem to be very engaged with the customers unlike breakfast where youhave a much better team I think I spoke with one of the waiters who was there last year Pedro very very attentive seem to have his eyes everywhere really on the ball I’ve been in hotels for 35 years and I watch every

We had a great 7 night stay as a family with a young child. The hotel is furnished to a really high standard throughout which very nice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms quiet with comfortable beds. Food was great with plenty of variety at the buffet each day. Haute lounge was also a nice surprise to have access to, which provided complimentary drinks and snacks. The hotel grounds are huge but secure so nice to be able to walk about easily in with a toddler and visit the little park. Pools were all nice, one heated pool and another beach style pool which our toddler really enjoyed. Would definitely recommend for a family or couple holiday and would come back.

If you’re thinking of booking do not hesitate!
We enjoyed every minute and had no issues from start to finish. The food, staff, beautiful interior, gardens, it was just perfect and the ultimate experience to relax and switch off.
I loved the little personal touches like toothbrushes, toothpaste, the vanity pack, a razor, gorgeous scented body lotion, wine, chocolates. I could just keep going.

Warm welcome on arrival. As we arrived early, room wasn’t ready so left our luggage to gain our bearings. However, rooms still weren’t ready until 3:30pm (late) and a couple of issues (broken toilet seat and air con). Nevertheless, we got an upgraded room. Hotel is well placed on marina although most of the lively restaurants and bars are on the opposite side of the marina which is a bit of a walk. Very good breakfast and lovely staff. Easy parking if hiring a car. Spa water was pretty cold and a little inconvenient having to book access although probably needed in peak season. Overall, recommended for a quiet break in Algarve.

Don’t hesitate to stay at this very special hotel! The setting is beautiful with lovely views, gardens, lake and man -made beach. We took the bird/flora tour and the wine tasting, both were fantastic! The choice of leisure activities is awesome, something for everyone! Breakfasts were just the best with so much choice (the fruit and freshly baked bread and pastries were exceptional). Above all, a big thank you to the staff who, without exception, could not do enough for you with a smile and a greeting. Special mention to Alex, customer relations, who sent us wine and macaroons and was so helpful, Mona in the restaurant who anticipated our every need and was such fun! The lovely, bubbly (great English!) lady on reception who took the bird tour. Wonderful holiday, ten out of ten.

We’ve just returned from a 4 night stay in a one bedroom residence with our 13 year old daughter. Lovely facilities, calm environment, easy , pleasant stroll to the harbour and to the lovely beach (Praia de Falésia), good food and warm, well trained staff. We enjoyed a an insightful fun cork worskshop arranged for hotel guests. Perhaps the hotel team can’t take credit for the 5 days of clear sunny 18 degree daily weather, but that did add to a perfect post Christmas mini break.

Staying at Domes Lake Algarve for my Birthday was the best decision. They welcomed me and my family and made us feel great. The food at Topos restaurant at night was excellent. The breakfast was also very good. We enjoyed the inside pool and Sauna everyday for an hour. And the Kids Club was also a nice option. On my birthday they left me a delicious cake at my room and a bootle of wine. Thank you so much for all the little details and attentions!. The room was spacious and in good condition. The pools are magnificent. Overall one of the best experiences in a hotel in Europe. I’ll definitely come back again. It was worth every penny.

Romantic getaway for two!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at this 5-star resort! It is the type of place I look forward to returning to. Super safe and peaceful property with trustworthy employees. The staff really go out of their way to be kind and we felt each of them did an excellent job!

The hotel room had a thoughtful design with plenty of space for two. I enjoyed that the toilet was in a different room than the shower. As we were there a week, I also found the large closet system well designed. I couldn't wait to open up the large window door each morning to allow the fresh warm sea breeze air inside!

My favorite part of each day was the (included) breakfast buffet. It was really the highlight to starting the day off right. Plus we found no rush in waking up early, as it's open until 11am! What a treat! We also enjoyed slowly walking around the property and taking in all of the trees and birds. The large lake is also fully stocked with different types of friendly fish to watch.

There were four different pools (one being adult only). An indoor spa with a Turkish bath, Roman bath, salt water Jacuzzi, and a Sauna. I was able to book in for a hair trim and blowdry, and both my husband and I got facials too. The actual beach is just a short walk around the lake on property, over a bridge outside, and you're there! Very convenient. And a quieter stretch of beach opposed to the main strips.

Although this was a relaxing time away for us, we still had to work. Excellent wifi & desk. :)

A great hotel with some great features

We stayed for a week at The Domes and really enjoyed it. The food at the staff are amazing. Plus the pools and grounds are up there with the best that we've ever seen. These things really make it special and 5 star. The only things that lose it a start (which is harsh) is that the hotel is a little tired in some places. The refit clearly targeted some key areas like the restaurants and parts of the rooms. But the indoor pool is now very dated for a 5 star hotel. The other thing that we felt that it lacked was entertainment or things to do. The kids club is good but apart from that there wasn't much for the kids to do other than swim. So a week felt quite long. Particularly as Villamoura really has nothing to it.

When I mentioned the upgrade I was entilted to based on availabilty they said they were fully booked even though thye were still selling rooms online in the next category for the same dates.

We had a fantastic stay at The Domes Lake. We could not fault a thing. From arriving with the car and the full valet service, to the check out with one of their many friendly staff at reception.

The hotel was incredibly clean and well maintained.

The outdoor areas, including the three outside pools, were all well kept.

The food was also fantastic. There was so much choice at breakfast, and the dinner at Topos was one of the best we’ve ever had - special shoutout to the pork dish with chimichurri, best chimichurri I’ve ever had.

Honestly, I could write an essay about great this hotel is. Everything was perfect and we wound happily return and recommend highly.
