Second time I’ve been to this hotel and it’s a good easy stay. Benefits of a coach to the beach everyday and good staff. My only downside to this hotel would be in the apartments away from the hotel which I stayed in, I had next to no WiFi. I spoke to one of the staff the next day and he tested it and pretty much told me there was nothing he can do. When I mentioned it again to another member of staff he raised a maintenance request but nothing was done. My nine yr old was desperate to play his iPad during down time but couldn’t and for a service (WiFi) that I’ve paid for and advertised by Expedia I deserve better.

Unfortunatrey, there was a burst waterpipe and we had no water for 12 hours over two days. Also there was a sewer smell wafting through the apartment.

Only place I’d stay in Vilamoura now. Reception staff especially Jorge and Jose are fantastic, as a regular visitor to Moursbel this is recognised and they looked after us with a free upgrade and late check out - much appreciated.
Another enjoyable stay and already looking forward to next one.

The toilet seat was small for the toilet the toilet leaked a tiny bit at the bottom

The property was a reasonable size with good access. However was ant infested. Not having regular cleaners made this harder - ants were in the sink, both kitchen and bathroom in the bath ok the tables and al over the floors.

The swimming pool we were advised to use was not suitable for small children as shallow end was 130cms deep.

There is a smaller pool on the resort we were informed about on the last day of our trip.

The restaurant was faultless food was of high quality.

I’m not expecting of 5* standards for the hotel however the ants made the stay less enjoyable.

Very pleased with my stay, especially as upgraded to superior apartment. Kitchen has everything you need for proper self catering stay. Sky channels could be better, not a moan, and I would be happy to pay a little extra for this. Staff very friendly and efficient....will definitely be back. Pool great size and clean. Happy to swim even in November. Supermarket very close by at Lagul Azuz Hotel(around the back). Easily walkable for me to the beach/marina(mind I was running most days - min 10k). Hire car cheap through Drive for fun (highly recommended), and plenty of parking on site

The apartment suited my needs as it was ideally situated for the Portugal Masters golf just 30 mins walk away (as close as you could get really), and there were several bars and restaurants within just a few minutes to eat at the end of the day.
The accommodation itself was comfortable and contained all I needed.

Stayed in awful apartment, very dated and not vert clean. Walk to accommodation was pitch black with absolutely no lights on. My three friends had very similar experience. I accept this is a budget hotel but no excuses for the state it was in. Shower broken, wall attachment hanging off, toothpaste all over bathroom door. We visit annually but will never stay at this hotel again

Nice and quite location, a nice 30mins walk to marina and beach, pool was nice.
Stayed in one of the cheaper old and dated studios, was nice and spacious even though there was a lot of unnecessary furniture, was only sofa beds, which are pointless, people need at least a bed when booking a room.

Although we only stayed for two nights the apartments are quite dated and worn. We had a terrible smell of sewage in the bathroom, a fresh sheet on one of the beds had stains and there was a cockroach in a bedroom. The noise from the main road into Vilamoura kept us awake all night.

Just spent a week here, our second stay here in 2 years.
Apartments are clean and comfortable in a nice quiet location.Vilamoura Marina is about a 20-30 minute stroll away or you can use the free shuttle service or the tourist train.
We were staying self catering ,but we did eat in the restaurant a couple of times and the standard of the food was good. There was also entertainment in the bar area each night.

3rd time staying here. There is 3 blocks and every tine staying you can see they are renovating apartments every time we are there. Room was quite dated. On arrival they had a bottle of wine, milk and water in room for us which is a lovely personnal touch. Very welcoming and relaxing place.

Quiet area - apartment tired!

Disappointed with 'tired' apartment in that the balcony was cramped and view uninspiring. Had to go to the main block for pool and entertainment. The bar was stuffy and a bit smokey, so we did not use. We liked the area, with nice walks and great wildlife, although there wasn't a lot else close by. Just about walking distance to Villamoura but you really need a car.

Also as your company had not informed the property of us being accompanied by a pet, which I specifically mentioned during the booking process, made things also difficult. The big issue was the absence of a double bed as listed on the website. The hotel has no double beds leading to some discomfort; Kitchen was adequate. The hotel was convenient for the marina. For the nightly rate, the hotel served the purpose for us. Supervisor Fiona was very helpful and speaks fluent English.

Good hotel in a quiet place

The hotel is locate at a 20 minutes walk to Marina in a quiet place.The rates are much lower than average in Vilamoura, which means high benefit cost ratio.
The best units are located in the main building and are named T1 superior. The swimming pool is pretty good.There is also an attached restaurant with good food and very good service(Madlina, Nina and Juliana).
As the prices are good do not expect services of a 5 star luxury hotel.However, the basics are provided.

This is the 5th time I have stayed at this complex. The apartment we stayed in this time looked as if it had been newly renovated. Loved the walk-in shower. Apartment was very spacious and also had a very large kitchen with microwave, toaster & kettle. Also loved that the apartment now has WiFi in the room and also there is a safety deposit box in the room - saved the trek down to reception any time we wanted to get something out of it. Room was cleaned nearly every day. Complex supplied a free minibus service to marina and bigger supermarkets. Walk to the marina only takes about 20/30 minutes to reach. Even didn't use the pool on this occasion I think it could open earlier than 10am. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Ants fleas & spiders

If you like insects this is the place for you full of ants and fleas I bought the ant problem to the attention of the cleaners all they did was to wipe the sink with a dirty cloth problem wasn’t solved I booked a superior studio they so called upgraded me to a 1 bedroom apartment which was rock hard beds with sheets and blankets no quilt the tv was knackered took ages to get a picture as it was dim for the first half hour. Only about 2 channels that were watchable

Pe-Do-lago Apartment - Very good

Travelled in October 2017
Arrived at reception (Parque mourabel hotel). Very friendly welcome, gave us lots of information and leaflets with info. Was walked round to the apartment building which was very helpful.
Apartment was bigger than I thought and looked quite modern, the paint all looked quite fresh.
Beds were comfy and clean. Was told that the room was only cleaned once a week but they actually cleaned it every day (including mopping the floors).
Had plenty of kitchenware, pots, pans, plates even a potato masher. TV got 4 English channels which was also very good.
Aircon was a little hard to figure out but we got there in the end.
They have a restaurant and bar at main hotel. Food was definitely catered to the brits but very tasty and good price, live music too was ok.
Area was very quiet. Pool was also quiet and had plenty of sunbeds and canopies. Also had snack bars, other restaurants and a supermarket in the village.
20 min walk to the marina and beach, along a nice green path (with fitness equipment dotted on the way!) Lots of restaurants, bars and shops. We went there every afternoon and evening during our stay. Had great live music (highly recommend the Guinness Brothers who play Wed/Sun at O'Neills (Irish Bar) on the Marina.

Our room at Pe de Lago was very good but as for the facility’s they were non existent. Pool bar closed, no pool toilet you had to go back to your room ours on top floor, pool area very dirty and unkempt. Pool area never swept or cleaned sun loungers just left as guests left them from one day to the next. Gates locked until 10 am so if you want to go down earlier you can’t wouldn’t return.

When i checked in I was shown round my apartment by a Scottish lady who’s people skills were non existent I’ve never stayed anywhere someone can be so rude.
I’d paid for a superior studio so you expect everything to work, I was being shown around and noticed that the shutters to the outside patio wasn’t fully working, the sofa was broken, the air con was faulty, a broken light was left in the room from the other guests, she didn’t remove from my room and all the woman could say you have been upgraded... really surely you want the basics to work. The woman said that someone would fix I stayed there for 8 nights and nothing was done about it. I won’t be recommending this to anyone. I complained when I checked out and they didn’t care.

Stayed for just one night as a group of three golfers who came out a night earlier than the rest of our group. Had a one bedroom studio apartment , spotlessly clean , great kitchen and a spacious lounge. Large balcony with motorised shutters. A few bars and restaurants close by . Five minutes in a taxi to the marina. Great place to stay just outside vilamoura.
I left my rucksack in the reception area after leaving to meet up with the rest of our group in another hotel , it had my passport, credit cards and £1000 in cash. The hotel kept it safe until I realised I left it about a hour later. ( had a few the night before ) when reception of my new hotel got in touch with this hotel they put it in a taxi to reunite me with my money & cards . A very relieved me. So thank you very much for a great stay and a very honest staff and guests. It was very appreciated.

We were allocated pe do lago on arrival and I was a little disappointed, but when we got to our apartment I was pleasantly suprised, we had booked a superior room and it was immaculate.
The pool area is spacious with lots of sun beds so was never an issue regardless when you went to the pool. The only down side to these apartments are they are between a 30-40 minute walk to the marina, the description said 15-20 minutes which is incorrect, we had children so this was quite a problem, we ended up having to pay for a weeks travel on the little train that stopped at the apartments and went to the marina. All in all really nice week but more expense than we had budgeted for.

Dinner was same every night. Not worth it in my opinion as my children didn't eat much of it.

Many activities close by within 30mins drive and local shops within 10 mins walk (not the hotel shop as it's pricey)

Good hotel for families

We stayed for a week and it was great. We had a lovely time. The family golf is nearby in walking distance about 25 mins from the hotel. For the beach there is a free shuttle service about 3 times a day, but we preferred to use Uber taxi which was much more convenient and cheap. Also an Indian restaurant and super market is near by to the hotel. Only disappointed with the hotel reception staff as they were not helpful except one young guy.

Arrived at about 9 pm, and was told no supermarkets are open after 8 pm, and they stop serving food at 10 pm. We were then sent 300 meters up the road to our block of apartments. Apartment was dark and dingy but serviceable. The water pressure was low and you had to hold the shower head above you to get enough water. The fridge seemed to struggle to stay cool. You had to turn the a/c off if you wanted to sit on the balcony, because the outdoor unit was at floor level, and would blow hot air all the time it was on.

we stayed with kids, very good apartment, helpful , friendly stuff, conection to the Vilamoura marina is good, easy reach vilamoura beach and Vilamoura centre. bus stop to Albufeira 5min walk from hotel. food exelent for good price. really highly recommended to all friends and family. hotel gives free ride to marina and beach 3 times a day,plus there are bus-train stop right next to hotel, which is quite awesome if you are with kids.

Good hotel with swimming pool. Free bus service from hotel to beach drop & pickup everyday 9am, 11am & 4pm. Good house keeping everyday.

But while i was staying there this july, one day when i wasn't in my room that time house keeping person didn't clean my room only change the kitch bin of my apartment!!!

Except that its a really good hotel.

Special thanks to the beach droping bus two drivers. They are really good mannered & very helpfull.

You book a room but don't get a choice of which complex you are on.
Upon arrival, we were directed to our apt in the Pe de Lago complex.
We didn't have high expectations as this was a low-cost break but we have stayed at 3 stars before, however, we were not prepared for this. The apt was spacious, A/C was in the bedroom and living room and very powerful, however taking a closer look dirty and unkept and \"Ants\" everywhere in our room, kitchen, bathroom ...

The shower was broken but they sent a handyman up to fix it promptly, however.

We only stayed here one night so I can't really comment properly. Reception staff were friendly enough and we had someone carry our cases to the apartment. One bedroom with small kitchen. Only drawback was no aircon but it was very reasonably priced so I don't suppose we should have expected that. I booked it for one night as it was close to our timeshare witj a Saturday check in and I could only get a Friday flight. The beds were very hard though so quite an uncomfortable nights sleep. We didn't use the facilities so can't comment but what we saw everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves around the pool.

only stayed there two nights but would definately go back, good value for money, lovely pool area not too crowded, free shuttle to beach, fab pub 'Parkys' about 10 mins walk for nightlife.

We'd go back.

This is actually a group of 3 separate propertys all only a few meters from each other,we were allocated a family apartment in the Oasis Village complex,we booked a one bedroom even though it was only the two of us as we wanted a double bed and the studio apartments only have two sofa beds. Unfortunately we might have been better off on the sofas as the bed was really very uncomfortable ! However this was our only disappointment. Overall we were pleased. All staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. The property was undergoing refurbishment but we had very little upheaval just a pre warned water stoppage of one hour. The apartment was a little dated but spacious and very clean and obtained everything you'd need for a self catering stay. Wouldn't book an all inclusive break here but we did eat lunch or dinner here and it wasn't bad at all,good value. The appartment we stayed in was next to road but it didnt bother us. It's a lovely half hour walk through a beautiful path/park to the marina. We would definitely return as it proved to be a good value holiday in a nice area with friendly people.

Situated close to a shop for everyday items and only 600 yard from 2 good restaurants if you want a change from the hotel food.

Good walk to the marina

First time in Vilamoura. Hotel good but a bit out of the way. The only place to go was the marina and I must say Benalmadena is much better. Vilamoura is for golfers so I wouldn't visit this resort again.

A decent walk from the marina, in a reasonably quiet location. This development provides good clean accommodation where we have opted to stay several times. It is great value for a base close enough to it all. We go back soon. We've chosen an upgrade, it's winter.
As with all of this style of build, you may hear noisy neighbours. That's not fun. But overall, it's hard to find much to complain about at these prices.

A good time..but probably not because of the hotel

+ decent location with regards to the marina and beach (a 40 minute walk to either along very pedestrian-friendly paths)
+ well-kept swimming pool
+ nice restaurant/bar that isn't too overpriced
+ cleaners cleaned thoroughly
+ beautiful grounds with a lovely view of the surroundings
+ region and hotel offer lots of touristic attractions (beach/boat activities, biking, etc)

- hotel staff in the lobby often seemed frustrated at any clients
- lots of bugs, spiders, and cobwebs in the room
- our bed was AWFUL, very creaky, plastic-y, and hard. We would wake each other up shifting around at night.
