Outdated and bug infested 3 star pretending to be

The hotel has nice grounds and is set in a secluded peaceful area just outside Vilamoura.
Unfortunately, the hotel is not a 5 star hotel.
The majority of rooms are in the garden and suffer from a variety of bugs getting into the rooms. We had 6 garden rooms and 4 had some ants crawling around. 1 had an ant infestation which made its way into the occupiers suitcase and 1 had cockroaches in his room.
The newer an more up to date rooms are in the main building. These are an Upgrade but they too have issues. The AC units barely work in high heat and the showers are a joke. It would take an engineer to figure out the exact millimeter adjustments to the hot and cold faucets to get a decent shower. Our entire group had either scorching hot showers or cold showers for 4 days.
When we complained, the hotel laundered the clothes for the guest with a suitcase filled with Ants and upgraded us to the newer main building rooms after 2 days. But despite many assurances and promises of a resolution, none has been given. The hotel manager didnt even have the decency to come and speak with us let alone apologise.
This hotel is 3-4 star at best and should be thought of as such.

Really lovely hotel. Although there was a clothes shop within the hotel it would have been good to have a small convenience store for water, snacks or even a vending machine. Although drinks and snacks were available at the pool bar, they were expensive. Also didn’t like that a service charge was added at every single transaction.
The reception staff were extremely helpful. Nothing was too much bother. In particular when my son got badly sunburnt, I had asked about a nearby chemist but they were kind enough to give me cream which worked wonders.

The location is out a bit from any sort of bars/shops. However it was only a 15 minute walk and the Ubers were very reasonable.

If you are looking for a relaxing, slow paced break away from the hustle and bustle or a keen golfer this is a great hotel to stay at!

We've stay here several times and normally find the hotel. Very good service and value.
However, we reported a leaking toliet and water all over bathroom floor.
We asked twice for it to be fixed. We're told it's fixed but it wasn't.

Great stay!

The facilities are very good and the accommodation is spacious and has everything you need.
We found the beds a little hard and the accommodation will benefit from a freshen up in the near future.
The staff were fantastic! All so friendly and helpful. We didn’t eat in the restaurant and went exploring Quarteira and Vilamoura in the evenings instead.

We had the BEST time at this resort!!! The resort was absolutely BEAUTIFUL, the staff was so amazing and accommodating and even provided a birthday cake without us requesting so it was such a lovely suprise.
I can’t recommend this place enough and I’ll definitely be coming back every summer from now on.

Worst food ever.

The buffet dinner was the worst food I can remember eating in a hotel or restaurant....EVER!
The room was good, we took 2 dogs and were charged an outrageous €25 for each.
The staff were disinterested with the exception of the sommelier in the restaurant who was terrific.

Shower debacle.

I had 2 rooms at this hotel. Upon trying to use the shower in both rooms the showers did not work properly. In one room the hot tap stuck on fully open and would not close. In the 2nd room the cold tap stuck on fully open and would not close.
It took 4 calls to reception and around an hour to get somebody to come to fix the showers. Due to the delay in us getting ready we missed our evening meal booking.

The hotel manager refused to speak to me
despite my polite request.

The next day on check out the reception staff insisted that we had broken both taps by turning them too tightly.

This is absolute nonsense. I've had many thousands of showers and this has never happened before.

I think the truth is that these rooms had not been used before this season and the shower parts had corroded due to inactivity. This explains why the guy who delivered our bags insisted we check if the room was ok before we accepted it.

All in all the hotel should ensure the room is fit for use before renting it out and they hadn't done so.

Blaming us was the cherry on top.

Don't stay here there are many better options.

Beautiful hotel and great if you’re a golfer. Fabulous course!
The only down side was the pool water was quite cold so I didn’t swim as much as I would have l liked too. Also a long walk (1 hour ) to the beach but taxi drivers were great! All in all - I would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel in a fantastic setting. Garden room was very comfortable with great pillows. Only downside was breakfast “hot”foods were at times anything but.
Also the hotel is in a residential area and a taxi is required to get to the marina or even a supermarket

Staff were friendly and helpful.
The bed was like sleeping on a giant pile of springs. Buffet dinner on Sunday night was below par. Cold and dried out. Everything seemed like they were left ivy from previous days.
Breakfast buffet was decent and the omelette station was a good option.
Overall the pool area was nice. You definitely need a car if you want to go exurbs area.
A good place for golfers or people who just want to sit by the pool. A small draft beer was 4€

Peaceful and nice stay

This is a wonderful place to stay: quite, away from the noise and near enough of Vilamoura, Quarteira if you want to go the beach and have some goof food. I’m not a golfer, but being surrounded by a golf course it is so nice. Guilherme ( at the bar) , Claudia ( gym) and Ricardo ( bicycle rental and others) made my stay even greater. 😀

On arrival allocated a villa room a long way from the Hotel despite booking a classic room. They tried to justify this as an upgrade but I insisted I wanred Hotel room so it was changed. Problems booking golf tee times and taxi transfers too.

Greta short break before the season kicks off

Great stay. We had a garden view room, which was superb, as it provided great view, a little more quiet, and its own sun terrace. Maid service every day, with clean towels and bed linen whenever we wanted. Breakfast was included in rate, and was very generous. Buffet included full English, continental, pastries, hams, cheese, juice, carva, anything you wanted really (and served until 10.30am, so even better if you want a lie in). Bar was well stocked. Staff very friendly and approachable, with great customer care skills. Wifi reception was excellent in all areas of hotel. Highly recommended

Check in was a nightmare! The Receptionist didn't know what he was doing it took 15 minutes to check in! The room was clean but dated and there was a funny smell in the corridor outside?
Breakfast was good but one waiter trying to serve everyone and his English was poor

Nice hotel friendly service

A nice stay. We had a spacious comfortable family suite, slightly overcast because of the big trees outside our patio so we did not have enough sunlight throughout the day. However, this was compensated by the lovely weather we had during our stay and we took full advantage of the hotel facilities to get our share of the warm sun.
Staff was extremely courteous and efficient. They made us feel very welcome and always offered service with a smile - reception staff, bar and restaurant staff all were there to make our stay a very pleasant one.
Adequate choice of food for the breakfast buffet. The hotel management should replace their current toaster with a conveyor belt one because it was rather dangerous when we had to use a pair of metal tongs to fish out our toasts.
Another minor inconvenience: the paths leading to the rooms were rather uneven because of tree roots that grow underneath them. Had to be careful at night for our little son because it is a tripping hazard.

Better than my first impressions!

When I arrived I was a bit worried about my choice of hotel. The staff were friendly, but I had a bumpy ride in a golf buggy along very unstable paths to my room and everything at first glance seemed a bit tired and run down. However, pleasantly, my room itself, although quite dated in terms of decor, was large and comfortable, with a big comfy bed, lots of pillows and beautifully clean sheets. The bathroom was modern and spotless and the shower was excellent. My terrace was private with table, chairs and a lounger. Mini bar was lacking in alcohol! The main hotel areas are better kept, and feel more modern than the rooms. The pool area is lovely and it was always easy to get sun loungers and the all the bars do good food. Breakfast was good too, with lots of choice, but it gets busy if you don't get there early and some of the waiting staff weren't particularly helpful when it was busy. All in all, I enjoyed my stay here and I would happily go back :)

It's a nice hotel if you want to chill out and relax but for a long stay it's worth hiring a car to explore the area. The hotel room was nice but our room needed attention where the wallpaper had started to come apart.

Disappointing!

Location is a little remote and a car is a must. The hotel is lacking in active managers overseeing the running of the hotel. At breakfast which was plentiful, the coffee was awful. Instead of having coffee machines to help ourselves we were having to wait for waiters to bring the coffee and tea.

As it's just the start of the peak season, there are parts of the property which really should've been maintained in the off season.

The evening around the hotel is like a morgue and really isn't worth hanging around for.

It's most certainly not a five star hotel, 3+ star at best.

We were booked for two weeks in July, however after three nights we had a call from home saying a family member had been taken seriously ill. We had to return home - the management of the hotel and Pestana could have not have been more helpful.
The hotel is excellent and we would not hesitate to return at some point in the future.

Lovely hotel for a relaxing break. 10 mins taxi to vilamoura beach and marina (10 euros). Staff very helpful and pleasant and we enjoyed the food. We had a superior twin with a great little patio and sun beds. Great value for money and we would definitely go again.

Not a 5 star hotel but pleasant enough.
Cheaper then most but you'll need a car. Avoid the pond rooms as it's very noisy at night. The breakfast is fantastic. The gym is good, the pool is lovely. Lunch is basic but the surrounding gardens are well kept.
They need to fix all the paths as it's dangerous!!

We had a lovely stay here. It's outside of Vilamoura but not a problem if you have a car. Breakfast was fantastic and staff were lovely. My only complaint is that despite requesting a double bed, we arrived to two twin beds pushed together as all doubles were occupied.

Un hotel muy bonito, acogedor, tranquilo y magnífico para descansar y desconectar del estrés diario.
Tan solo sugerir, como propuesta de mejora, poner otro espejo en las casitas, pues solo lo hay en el baño, subir la intensidad de algún punto de luz dentro de estas y ofrecer unas almohadas o carta de almohadas, ya que eran muy, muy blanditas. Pero lo digo como sugerencia, subiría en calidad la estancia.
El desayuno es fabuloso, no falta detalle, rico, abundante, de calidad.
En general una experiencia muy buena.
Muy recomendable.

Zimmer waren sehr in die Jahre gekommen, im Zimmer war es ständig kalt trotz Heizung danach wurde die Luft sehr unangehem.
Man hätte für ein 5 Stern viel mehr erwarten können, die Zimmer sehr hellhörig, niemand hat auch in der Nacht Rücksicht genommen
