The hotel is within a 15-minute drive to the beach in Quarteira and Vilamoura Marina. The accommodations are what you expect from a three-star hotel. The staff was friendly and attentive. The room was clean. However, I don't recommend dining at the hotel.

An absolute gem of a little place!
Sadly, only got to stay for one day and night but had a great experience.
Welcomed by Ana, who was friendly and very helpful. Left our cases in the luggage room and spent a very hot but relaxing afternoon by the pool. The pool was surprisingly large and appreciated in the heat.
Thoroughly enjoyed the buffet style food in the restaurant in the evening, plenty of choice - fresh salads, hot options of fish, chicken and pasta and tasty desserts. A bargain at €17 each!
As we had a very early start for the airport, a packed lunch was ready and waiting for us when we checked out at 3.00am - much appreciated. Would recommend!

The room was meh, beds not comfortable at all and tv was super small. The location was decent, shuttle bus to city was great except latest pick up in the city back to hotel was 5:45pm. Uber only 5 euros one way to the city so that was helpful. Hotel grounds was nice, very clean and staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our bed and floor was infested with bugs. Management did not care, nor were they helpful, nor were they willing to rectify the situation. We left our stay early and took an L to stay somewhere else. Would NOT recommend this place!

They need to improve the breakfast. They bring all things with the lowest quality. The coffee machine bearly gives you hot coffee or hot water for tea. the tea was very low quality and foods in general are not the best for kids. Another thing was good. The room was spacious and clean. Parking is available and the swimming pool was lovely but for adults or babies. Not for 8 to 10 years non-swimmer yet.

Common parts are modern and well maintained. We had a standard room which was dated and needs refurbishment.
Room doors and corridor doors are noisy and disturbed our sleep. Perhaps fit self closers or refit. Ground floor rooms - parking is just outside, a definite plus.

Quiet location, good for a few nights.

We had a ground floor room with comfortable beds, outdoor sitting area and modern bathroom. There is a fridge and kettle. Additional electrical points would be helpful. Stayed half board, food was OK, limited choice and obvious cost cutting compared to previous stays. Renovated restaurant is clean and bright although the grey and white decor was totally void of any character (a few decorative pieces on the wall would make such a difference). Quiet comfortable hotel, avoid if you are a fussy eater.

I am never a complainer but please read the points below before booking here:

1. Terrible location: The location of this hotel is legit close to nothing at all so be prepared to spend a lot of money on Ubers and taxis. Also to get to your room it’s like a 10 min walk from reception going through the crystal maze.

2. Unfriendly staff: The reception and kitchen staff are very unfriendly I went to go ask for cutlery and the man chased me out the restaurant telling me I have to pay for some food to use the cutlery.

3. Hygiene: Upon entering all the towels were dirty they had makeup on them and there were ants crawling around on the floor in the room. Our bed was also broken and the fridge was not working. After telling the staff about this they told us to come the following day at 9am to check if any different rooms were available and there was none.

The pictures on here also look nothing like the hotel I would never even tell my worst enemy to stay here

The pool area was really nice and looked modern. However, the rest of the hotel needs updating, including new beds. We booked our room with one double bed and and a pull out couch for our 4 years old son. When we arrived, there was two single beds pulled together and one single folding bed with very tired mattresses on top. For adults to sleep in a\"double\" bed was impossible without spliting in the middle.. So our little one slep with me whilst my partner on that folding bed!!poor partner slept on a that thing whilst paying , €700 for 6 nights!

Electricity needs updating as out bed side ligjtening was connected through extension lead, one light cable was rubbing against the bed for so ling that a protective layer was gone, a bit extreme I would say... Might end up in serious accident if not fixed.

In general hotel was clean, butbwould not choose it again as we felt that it is most focussed on Spanish and local visitors, staff (morning shift) did not speak English. My english is third language, but felt that staff should be more trained to serve breakfast as each morning was a little surprice what coffee we gonna get..

Parking was really easy as you can park right outside your room in a shade.

In the end, we left disappointed... The money we paid was not worth for the services we received...

No clean bedroom, poor higiene special the bathroom. Ants for every where I could sleep well with that ants on the walk and bed! No glass in the bedroom and simple bottle of water for some medication as I need every night, the staffs was nice specially the lady of the reception but cleaning service was good enough fly in the shower room the drain was blocked never change the bed or pillows, the bedroom 112 is next to the laundry that is horrible noise from the cleaners coming to the bedroom, the buffet for dinner no variety, I can’t recommend this hotel for anyone!!! May the administration of the hotel isn’t good enough! Only the staffs from the bar reception and cleaner are lovely!!!! But the service offered by the hotel administration isn’t the great for 3 stars!

All staff were so friendly and accomodating, the main pool was lovely.
Rooms were a little dated and although I appreciate it is a 3 star hotel the wardrobe doors didn't work properly, we woke on the morning of departure with no cold water and also weren't left any toilet paper so had to go to reception to use the bathroom, this made our departure a bit stressful as we had to leave for the airport early.
Overall we were most impressed with the wonderful staff at Pinhal Do Sol

Reception staff friendly and helpful. Room basic, no kettle, bathroom had no hooks to hang clothes and
bad gutter smell in bathroom. Told I have to pay for hire of kettle. Rooms could do with new plastering and paint. Road and walkway to rooms need tarmac renovation. Breakfast good and variety. You can go back for more. Had 2 dinners but meat and chicken not cooked properly. Got shouted at by owner's fat man friend for haven't 2 small plates to eat our rolls in the garden. Reported him to reception who agreehe should not have spoken to me in that way. No local bus route. Hotel free bus takes you to two nearby towns only and pickup at appointed time. If you miss that you take a taxi.

For what you pay you cannot ask for more.The Hotel has a range of options ranging from B&B,half board,full board to all inclusive.When we first went in 2008 it was only evening meals now they have lunches instead of snacks.Primarily they cater for full board or all inclusive but unless you drink full board is the best option. For those without transport on B&B only, evening dinner purchased as an extra at the premises would cost Euro 12.99 but save Euro 1.00 on purchasing 3 or more meals at reception.
I recommend you ask for a superior room as they contain a fridge and kettle,especially for those that do not have transport or are not on all inclusive or full board.
The Hotel itself is situated in a quiet area with lawned gardens and a pond
with masses of bird life and at certain times of the year the frogs are massed in the pond.The bedrooms are a good size and the showers are roomy service is good and reception will assist you in all your requests,
A free courtesy bus is supplied 4 times a day to take you and pick you up to Villamoura and Quarteira centre (and the beach)only 6 minutes away that has a beautiful sandy beach and long promenade with plenty of shops along the sea front where you can buy clothing,shoes and all manner of things especially at the chinese bazzar type shops together with bars,cafe's and restaurants.The courtesy bus continues on to Villamoura which has a Marina which is surrounded by cafe,bars and restaurants and

Arrived 2am. Directed 300m down the car park to my room ..Nothing to drink eat .. Back 300m to reception/ restaurant. 4 km to the beach..no bars near by. I walked over a mile each evening for a restaurant..I was only b and b ...the food was 4/10 standard.

There are 2 areas of the hotel. The one in which your clients stay. Is sadly in need of a facelift . Toilet smelly. Laundry service 24+ hrs before it is returned.Rooms very dated. Bathroom outdated. On the plus side the chambermaids and staff in the dining area are very pleasant and helpful.

This is basically not a hotel look like hostel,with very uncomfitable beds ,very poor breakfast. Lack of facilities. Everything is faraway you need to take taxi to go everywhere. In the bar very rude and not good hospitality and customers service not very well trined to make the right drinks .totally disappointed. Payied £500 for 6 nights with only breakfast and sleeping in baby pillow . Bought hot water from bar they dont wana give me the cup for use my hot water while I am sitting infront of them they want to charge me €1for each cup.twice I called taxi and one time ordered pizza they charged me nearly €8for that .

We arrived later than expected and hotel receptionist was very helpful.
First room we were given was on the ground floor but there were a lot of ants, we told the receptionist and she arranged for a room on the first floor which was bigger and better than the first.
We only stopped for the one night and couldn't make use of all the facilities but did sit by the very inviting swimming pool for an hour

The pictures online do not do Pinal do Sol justice. Beautiful hidden gem in quiet surroundings.
We were lucky enough to stay in the villa at the bottom of the resort which has a swimming pool just outside.
Our only gripe was that it was a fair walk to the bar which kind of defeats the object of relaxing by the pool. Not sure if there is a bar service in peak season?
Room was comfortable. Air conditioning unit was a complete mystery but maybe that was just us.
Overall we were delighted with our bargain break and the local area is stunning

Nice hotel, not far from beach and a few resturant

The hotel is very nice with a lot of facilities available such as 2 swimming pools, a large outdoor seating area, a bar, a pool table, a dining room and quite a few areas to sunbathe. Hotel staff were fantastic, so friendly and made us feel very welcome, especially Cristina and the young lady on reception. The hotel offers a free mini bus to Vilamoura and quarteira which was great. The only down fall was the rooms. The bathroom was quite inconvenient as the door got in the way of the toilet. Rooms were quite clean, but a little out dated, could do with being modernised. Also, we had to move rooms as there was an ant infestation next to the wardrobe in our room. The food was ok, breakfast offers a huge variety and we enjoyed it very much, however there could have been more of a variety for dinner, as there was only the option of either pizza or the buffet, and the buffet food was not up to standard, wouldn't eat it again.

Very disappointed with this “3star” hotel

Unfortunately our stay here wasn’t very nice, we had ants crawling through our room and bathroom, the rooms were never cleaned very well and layers of dust were found around and behind units and under the bed was even worse. The staff were lovely, apart from one or two who unfortunately let the team down and were very rude in front of customers. One staff member who came to fix a problem we had in the room was really arrogant and shrugged us off when we tried to discuss it probably because we was a younger couple. He had a very poor attitude for work and customer service.
Overall not happy with our stay, and unfortunately will not return.

A lovely hotel with good facilities, They have a free mini bus which will take you to 2 drop off points and then return later in the day to pick you up.The hotel is very clean and the staff are nice and very helpful.I would definitely recommend it as a hotel to stay in. It has 2 swimming pools in the grounds and a tennis court. So all in all a very charming place to stay.The only thing I would say is it would be good if they had some live entertainment in the evening, like a guitar player or other instrument player.

Wonderful hotel right on the beach...however when you come off the beach behind the hotel u immediately don't feel safe and prostitutes are openly offering their services. If u venture on the beach it's watch your bag time as gangs distract you while beggars are also rife

Hotel was clean and well kept. Swimming pool was very cold and was shut every day at 7pm. They had set meal times and you could not get anything in between these times. Evening meal was a buffet. So if you did not want a buffet you did not eat. As it was so far away from anything else you then had to get taxis to get a meal. Entertainment was poor. Staff were pleasant but not very helpful. This hotel is very nice if you want a very quiet holiday just sunbathing by the pool til 7pm.

Quiet pleasant hotel

1st impressions on arrival were that it appeared dated. However after encountering very welcoming, efficient staff exploring its spotless clean areas and discovering that the rooms contained everything expected and more. We developed an affection for its traditional feel. Free shuttle service was provided to Quateria and Villamora several times during the day. The food that we ate on site was well cooked and presented.

This is the 2nd time we stayed at Hotel Pinhal do Sol, both times we stayed one night as a stopover on our way to albufeira from faro airport. We love that it is 24 hour check in as we came on late flights, their breakfast menu is delicious, rooms are clean, staff friendly and efficient. Look forward to staying here in future :)

The rooms were very clean and basic. The food was ok - ish. The waiters and waitresses were not a very happy bunch - no manners. The reception staff were rude. All
Inclusive means you get three meals a day and drinks from 11am-10pm but only 1 at a time and you have to finish that before getting another. No snacks available through the day. So not really all Inclusive. They do offer a free bus service to local towns as too far to walk. But they're not really run on time so don't worry if no one is there to collect you as they will turn up - just when they want. It's a lovely place if you want a quite few days away just don't expect too much

Hotel more caters for the elderly, beds very uncomfortable, dinner menu very limited, it's a budget holiday and really basic is what u get I wouldn't return

Bem abaixo da expectativa

O hotel é simples, talvez seja interessante para crianças. Café da manhã terrível. Poderia ter mais capricho. As atendentes da recepção muito atenciosas porem as que trabalham no café da manhã com cara bem ruim.

Struttura ok se accendi l’aria condizionata in camera altrimenti scappi dopo un minuto che l’hai spenta.
Se non avete la macchina e non avete voglia di stressarvi a guidare per fare aldilà di cosa NON scegliete questa struttura. Poche spiagge e si va solo in macchina o con navetta agli orari stabiliti da loro, zone passeggio e ristoranti a 6Km dalla struttura….rifletteteci

Heerlijk rustig, vriendelijke en behulpzame medewerkers en gemoedelijk klein.
Door de ligging, 40 min lopen naar het strand en 10 km van het centrum van loule is eigen vervoer wel fijn. Hoewel de hotelbus 4x per dag eeb goede oplossing is naar het strand en de ueber betaalbaar.
Wij hebben genoten.

Et hotel der kunne trænge til en opdatering.

Et okay hotel der godt kunne trænge til en opshinning. Rigtig lækker og fredelig pool. Hotellet ligger nogle kilometer fra alting dermed godt de har deres bus service 3 gange om dagen ind til stranden.

Rengøringen kunne godt være bedre.

Zeer goed voor de prijs die we hebben betaald. Het eten was lekker, maar altijd lauw. We waren er met geen mooi weer, maar denk wel dat er een toffe sfeer kan zijn.
