The staff were absolutely amazing 👏 — warm, welcoming, and genuinely went above and beyond for us. What truly made our stay unforgettable was that the hotel generously allowed us to use their beautiful pool area for our Bali wedding ceremony. It was stunning, intimate, and perfectly maintained, making our special day even more magical.
The atmosphere, service, and kindness shown to us will always be remembered. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay or celebrate such an important moment. Highly recommend Destiny Boutique Hotel to anyone looking for exceptional hospitality and a truly special experience

Hotel needs a lot of work and I can see they are making every effort to do this. It’s run down and many things like pool bar, general maintenance and restaurant are not up to standard. Staff are lovely.

Not a great experience all round, checked in at 2.30pm and checked out at 5.30pm, a number of issues from empty beer cans and full ash tray lying around pool, toilet did not flush, no privacy, seemed to be a lack of staff, on checking in rang bell, called out and waited for somebody to turn up fir about 15 mins, no water provided in a country where you cant drink tap water, room smelt musty, got out of shower abd right outside my room was a group of men smoking, drinking and swearing as a solo female traveler felt unsafe and made the decision to go elsewhere. Staff were very helpful and apologetic when i checked out.

It’s in a main road with lots of traffic passing by. The noise from all cars and scooters travel easily into the room. There’s a tattoo shop across the street that is constantly yelling and laughing out loud at girls passing by. And the hotel is just not in the condition it used to be.

My 9 day stay at the Destiny was exceptional. Staff were wonderful. Property and room was very clean. Very good location and no shortage of transport opportunities. The only disappointment was that the property is advertised as having bar but has not reopened since covid, however there is a lovely bar and restaurant just around the corner and an abundance of eateries and bars with easy walking distance. Would highly recommend.

Let’s start with the positives. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was good.
The condition of the property is very run down, it wasn’t clean or maintained consistently around the pool area. The photos are pre Covid which the manager admitted to when I complained about the property not being presented as it is in Expedia. The pool looks great in photos but there want even sun lounge cushions to lay on. Floorboards around the pool were rotting and in fact one guest put her foot through a board. Access to the pool was a huge step up and the tiles around the pool were slippery and loose. The toilets kept blocking up in many of the rooms.

Once all the amenities are open and Bali is booming again this will be a great little hotel if you like clean, friendly on a budget accomodation. Unfortunately there's not enough tourist dollars just yet to have this great little place running at full capacity. Hopefully things change sooner rather than later. Do recommend 👌

Let’s talk about the positives first
- good location to beach
- nice pool very clean
- clean room & cleaned everyday
- friendly staff
- on a great street for food & drink

However
- our air conditioner was very poor & the hotel do not allow you to keep it on during the day (by giving us only one key card) so the room gets hotter as the day goes on
- we asked for a fan however it was taken away from our room without us knowing after one night
- nice rooftop bar but 21% service & tax added to an already pricey drink
- busy road, it sounded like the doors to balcony were open, you will get woken up!

Ok for a short stay ...

Went with my daughter, stayed in a pool access room. Room is pretty small, beds comfy. Breakfast is very simple, choice of eggs, toast, fruit, croissant, cereal & 2 types indonesian food. Location is ok, about 10 min walk to beach. Staff are really nice, first day air con was leaking & got that fixed quickly, 2nd day toilet wasn't flushing but had to wait until next day to fix. Overall it was ok, maybe for a short stay.

1st time i stayed was in June & i ABSOUTLEY loved it so had to book my stay with them again :)

Such a cute hotel, literally around the corner from the beach, restaurants shops & bars!
The staff are so welcoming & friendly, they speak english which is a bonus, Arya has been incredible! I cannot thank them enough for the service they provided.

The staff was really friendly. One of the receptionist even called a GoJek for me on his personal phone when my phone wasn't working.

The hotel is also in a great location. It is walking distance to the beach with beach clubs such as La Plancha as well as eateries, grocery stores, and shopping.

The hotel, however, was dated. The mirror was spotted and rusted. The shower head was old and dirty. The couches and chairs in the lounge were dingy. There was no freshness to the hotel at all. It is probably booked often for location alone, but I will not be staying there again.

Heart of Seminyak close to shops, beach and Pool

The location is excellent for the beach and shopping. We liked it a lot. The hotel is nice and the breakfast buffet good. A great place with a nice pool and staff. They just need to sort out the smell from the drains in the room while we were there as that is the only unpleasant thing.

The room we were put in was a bit dated. Toilet was weak and ended up not working the morning we checked out, but those are my only complaints. Staff was friendly. Property was located on a less busy street with good restaurants and cafes to choose from. It's worth it to pay extra for breakfast. Food was delicious and had plenty of options.

The hotel staff are helpful. Hotel location is not very good, it’s on a very noisy street and no effort has been made to soundproof the hotel. The drainage in our bathroom was poor resulting in a damp smell and constantly wet floor, if not sorted the fabric of the building will be affected.

Overall great landing spot. First room was with balcony which had a gap when closed, giving all the noise from traffic also walls were dirty. Moved to room without balcony, much nicer. Very quiet and clean. Shower didn’t drain well and left standing water for the 3 days I was there. That could be in part to not having my room cleaned while I was there, which I chose. The breakfast was good, several options, juice, coffee and eggs made to order. The pool was nice. The service is the best! The welcome was great and every encounter during my stay was very pleasant.

We stayed here expecting it to be good considering the reviews online, but we got here and our room didn’t even have a window despite it being a “deluxe” room. The managers response was “you have a window looking onto the corridor though”. Not really acceptable considering we didn’t want people staring into our room, and a corridor isn’t exactly the best view..
Breakfast was really poor. Hardly any choice, not fresh and gave one of us food poisoning. Not the best way to be spending my time in Seminyak.
Overall, definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

On arrival room wasn’t ready for check in at 2 so had to wait another hour. Inside the room air conditioning was broken however quickly fixed by maintenance man. Shower did not drain properly as tiles were not slanted to the drain and left a constant puddle. Towels smelt of cigarettes and soap which were uncomfortable to use. Budget hotel nice location but not very comfortable and right next to busy road.

Good location

The hotel was ok in a good location. The main problem was the towels they smelt terrible as if not washed ever the bedding also wasn't that clean. The pool area is nice, very poor breakfast. The main issue was that we had 2 rooms and our friends in the second room got stollen 300$ from the saftey box in the room. They went to the police station but obviously nothing will happen and there was no compensation from the hotel side what so ever!!

Towels are no longer white but greyish with loads of marks. Bed is really uncomfortable and woke up sore. Breakfast average. Toilet had difficulty flushing.
Asked to pay for upgrade on checking in wheras most hotels upgrade you automatically at no cost.

not always easy to catch a taxi from venue

This hotel was perfect for our needs. We were looking for a base for us to sleep in whilst we went out and travelled Seminyak. This place did just that! We did have a room however with no windows/balcony etc, which wasn't really a problem for us (we only stayed there at night to sleep anyway) but might be worth pointing out to those who may find this an issue.

The location is great to go to the beach (about a 10 minute walk) - a little further out to the main strip of shops and restaurants but still easily walkable.

The staff were extremely helpful and the room and hotel itself was kept very clean. Breakfast was adequate, nothing to write home about but kept us full until lunchtime! Really nice little pool area too. Not the largest pool and sunbathing area, but with the beach so close it doesn't really matter. Wifi was actually pretty good for Bali standards compared to some of the other places we stayed.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs just a good place to sleep when exploring Seminyak but doesn't want to break the bank or stay in a hostel!

I chose this hotel because of its location and affordable stay. We arrived at night and the taxi driver found the place easily. The hotel is near the beach and many restaurants. When I opened the door to my room I was greeted with a very nasty mildew smell. The room is quite small compared the to pictures. The bed was the best, big and comfy. Air con take a little time to cool down, but it did the job. Breakfast was very minimal. If you like chinese food (noodles and fried rice) you will enjoy the breakfast. If you dont, opt out because Seminyak has many restaurants.

I have stayed at the Destiny a few times and it is a great value for money but after 1-2 years of visiting, the facilities are a bit worn out and the rooms are so so terribly small.

We stayed in the pool side rooms which we thought would be great, then upon checking into it, released that the only way to get privacy is to close the curtains and the only method to stop pool side cigarette smokers ruining OUR health, was to shut the door. Both a major turn off. I get the 'choose the pools side, you can be seen' bit but smoking must be banned beside the pool.

a hotel that needs a lot of work

My stay was disappointing. The room was very noisy. There was a family staying downstairs with young children, and the kids were given 'free rain' of the pool area and were screaming and doing large jumps in the water as early as 7am. I advised the hotel staff and nothing changed throughout the entire stay. So no holiday sleep ins for me. I ended up having to take sleeping pills just to get a sufficient rest. There were room parties throughout the night also and my calls to the front desk led to little being done in this area. The air con didn't work very well. Housekeeping lacked attention to detail. Please reconsider your choice in relation to this hotel.

The truth about destiny boutiques

I stayed at this hotel in the first month when it opened, so it was great back then so I returned on my next visit to Bali.
Keeping in mind the hotel was new back then, now... It's gone all down hill.
I am a young female travelling by myself, stayed at the destiny boutique for two nights.
Upon arriving into my room, the toilet was flooded and the door did not lock!!! Every time I had a shower the whole handle and compartment came off the wall. I notified reception of all three issues straight away but nothing was ever checked.
Everytime I had to use the loo I had to run downstairs to the toilet next to the pool.
Sleeping in a room in which you know your door does not lock is not exactly the most relaxing. Breakfast in the morning is an all you can eat buffet, except both mornings I went there were only crumbs left by 7:30am.... So didn't get to have anything.
I will not be returning to this hotel in the future.

I booked and paid for 3 nights but after staying the first night I decided to go elsewhere. The location is pretty good and the room was clean and tidy enough and the staff helpful, but the noise from the street was annoying, the hotel pool barely got any sun and the breakfast was SO BAD. To me it's worth paying a bit more for a nicer hotel.

My wife and I arrived at 12 midday all was good we were showen to our room it was so hot and the fridge was not working. I went down to tell them at reception. They said will fix it. I went back up to our room I walk out of the elevator and some one (the cleaner) had just mope the floor with a really wet and soapy mope I silp over and badly hurt my hip great my first day in Bali and I aim laying on the floor in the hall way with a very sore hip. The manager came and said he was very sorry what could he do to help I said put signs up saying slipply when went . They move us to there best room at no charge which was good . But for next 4 days my hip was aching 24/7 which wreck our first week in Bali thanks Destiny

Stayed here for 7 nights over Xmas. Staff were always friendly and welcoming. Room was big and nice. Pretty quiet street. You can hear the motorbikes sometimes but it's Bali, motorbikes are everywhere there. They have a rooftop bar which is like a hidden gem. Really nice to sit up there at night with a drink and watch the fireworks in the distance at all the neighboring beaches

The hotel and room was nice, however room was a little bit too small and the bed sheets and towels could also be a bit more clean. The hotel staff was always nice and polite but sometimes it was hard to communicate in English... Breakfast in the hotel was pretty much same every day and I missed typical breakfast food since it was mostly some chicken and noodles and rice, which is not really breakfast in my opinion. So this made it into croissant and toast with eggs every morning for me. In general the stay in the hotel was okay and considering the price, we got what we paid for, but I would probably not come again.

I was suppose to stay from November 14 - Dec 2nd. Due to volcanic ash my flight was cancelled. I finally arrived on the 19th. I had paid on-line so I lost those days. I tried to contact hotel.com but was unsuccessful. Nothing was done for by hotel.com or the hotel.

I must say the hotel did give me a nice room on the third floor. I was traveling with a friend so they gave us a room with two beds (per our request). The next day, I was on my own and the hotel happily moved me to a room with a single bed. When I got to the room there were some issues. AC didn't work (after 5hrs of being on). The hotel addressed every issue and even offered me a new room. I was too tired to move again but they fixed everything.
I paid for breakfast to be included. I was glad that I didn't have to pay for one meal but by week two I was really tired of the breakfast. The hotel room service was also not that great. Let me be clear, service was great in all aspects of the hotel. Food, well they had many items on the menu that were not available.
I loved the pool. They have trees that shade you from the sun and occasionally a flower would fall into the water. I loved that.
Would I stay here again? Yes the price was great. Location not too bad and service was great. I probably would not get the breakfast again. With that being said, there are so many more hotels around and closer to the beach that I would give another hotel a chance.

Great location, 10 min walk from beach. Personal was very kind. The shower design and drain needs to be fixed, as water goes everywhere in the bathroom. We stayed 2 nights and it was perfect.

Nice Hotel, needs improvement

I upgraded from a standard room to a balcont room for an extra $5 per night. I had to email the hotel to arrange this though as it was not offered when booking the room. The rooms are small but me and my partner had enough space. The sheets had marks on them but you could tell they were clean. They put two bottles of water in your room every day free of charge (well...when they remembered to). And sometimes forgot to put new hand towels and floor mat in the bathroom. We always had clean bath towels though. The rooms could do with a touch of paint as there are a lot of marks and stains. Overall the room was good.
The breakfast was ok, unusual if you're australian or english. They had the basics of toast and croissants every day though so you wouldn't starve if you didn't want to eat the rice, noodles or fried chicken.
The pool was small and shaded, the sun lounger cusions were dirty. And the pool needed a clean, had lots of bits floating around in it.
The location was ok, 5 minute walk from the beach. Not much else in walking distance though. If you know your way you could probably walk to seminyak centre in around 20 minutes.
The staff were lovely, some couldn't understand what we were saying most of the time though!
Good value for the $45 per night we payed though!

Great Boutique Hotel

This great boutique hotel is located in a quiet street but not far away from the beach. The hotel staffs provide great service and are willing to help you whenever you have queries. Hotel also provides simple but tasty breakfast and not forget the great free wifi connection. All I can say that this boutique hotel is worth your money.

New hotel, good location.

Destiny is a small hotel placed in a very strategic position. You are a short walk away from the beach and party street. However, it is right on the corner of a busy road, so traffic noise can be heard day/night. The room itself is quite compact but extremely clean with all amenities provided. Pool is lovely but not many beds in the sun. theres also a great roof terrace and bar (although we didn't use). Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The only let down is the breakfast provided. Not worth getting up for!

First time at the Destiny after i couldnt get into my regular hotel and will definitely be back. Great location, nice and clean with super friendly staff. Great quite little pool and a pretty impressive rooftop/bar. As i was traveling for work Wifi is important and i had no issues here. Oh and it had really good shower!!!!! Will be back for sure

Spent 8 nights at Destiny Boutique Hotel. The hotel is a bit removed from the main strip but it was perfect for me. It was very quiet at night. You need to walk about 10 minutes. I really envoyed staying at the Destiny Boutique Hotel. A few nice \"fast food\" restaurants around. Breakfast was OK. I ordered room service two nights. Both meals were good.

The only annoying thing is that EVERY TIME I would come out of the hotel, I would be asked \"transport, miss?\"

nice place 10-15 walk to the beach

I had a good experience in the hotel. Room was big and same with the pictures in the site. It is 10 to 15 minutes away from the beach (by walk). A k-mart store probably by 5 mins. walk. A quiet area though sometimes you can hear the passing motorbikes outside but with the tv on, it may eliminate the noise.

Amazing stay at Destiny Boutique

Stayed for 5 nights and everything was perfect. Breakfast was a nice bonus and delicious every day. Pool and rooftop lounge were well used by us and super clean. Room was spotless every day and no problems with any hotel staff. 5 minutes from the beach and the best little local warung across the street kept us fed. Would stay again any time in Bali
