The room was lovely. Very clean. I had a king studio with balcony. There was a keurig coffee maker with a few k cups provided. I loved the room. The breakfast was ok - I wouldn’t order the quiche again, but the lemon bread was great. The lobby had hot coffee and hot water, but no cold water to fill a refillable water bottle. Since I stayed at the end of June and it was hot, I was disappointed to fill my water bottle from the tap.

Great location, great staff and amenities! I was hoping for a high floor room but our type of room only was available in lower floors. Still the balcony & furniture was fabulous. Breakfast was just ok but was included and delivered! I really enjoyed sitting on the hotel patio in the rockets. Great neighbor in the house next door! Everyone was so friendly!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bask Hotel in Morehead City. The location on the waterfront is hard to beat—beautiful views and easy walking access to several great restaurants and things to do around town.

The hotel itself is nicely renovated, and the rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. There’s also plenty of parking for most guests, which is a big plus. While unloading isn’t the most convenient, it’s manageable and not too far from the entrance.

We appreciated the small touches like available coffee and the option to purchase snacks, water, soft drinks, and even beer. The lobby and sitting areas overlooking the waterway are updated and provide a relaxing place to unwind.

The main downside for us was the in-room HVAC unit, which was fairly loud. In our room, one of the vents was positioned right above the bed and pushed out quite a bit of air, making it a bit uncomfortable at times.

Also, it’s worth noting that the hotel doesn’t offer additional amenities like a pool or on-site activities—it’s more of a place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Because of that, it feels better suited for adults rather than families looking for lots of on-site entertainment.

Overall, we would definitely stay here again. It’s a clean, comfortable hotel in a fantastic location—perfect for a laid-back waterfront getaway.

Rooms were clean, but carpets could use a good shampooing..lots of stains. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very good with healthy choices. Parking was more than adequate and very convenient with garage entrance leading directly to elevators. Cooling unit could use repair or replacing. Our suite maintained 77, 78, and 79 degrees during our entire stay. My sister's suites were very cool and comfortable with constant temps in the 60's. Overall stay was good. Plans to return soon!

We had two rooms, checking in different dates. Could not check in until 4. Found bread still in the microwave from previous guests. The day before I arrived I called the front desk to discuss an issue and was left on hold for 29 minutes. I finally hung up and when I tried calling back they wouldn't answer, called 5 times in a row. It went to vm everything. They just didn't want to help with my issue. I had my other family who was already there check to see if front desk was that busy and it wasnt. The gals at front desk were polite and nice. Just don't try to check in even 30 minutes early.

The ‘old bask’ (with its spacious studios on the upper floors with the seaside view) was always a lovely place to stay, with its close proximity to piers, docks & restaurants. The now completed additions are an upgrade but now it also includes the new restaurant “mar” with a Top Chef associate running the kitchen (one had to try the grilled octopus sitting on a plantain!) This puts Morehead City into a whole new experience level, justifying the long trip

Incredible staff, large units, free breakfast delivered to your room, great views from water facing units, great restaurants very close; this is a great place to stay. The only drawback is that the HVAC units are quite loud. I sleep well, but I had to turn the AC off at night and open up the balcony doors. Either that or wear earplugs to sleep.

The floors in our room turned the bottoms of our feet black upon arrival. Otherwise, it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. We had a tiny room and the only place to sit and eat was in bed. Not a fan of ordering breakfast and having it delivered to the room - just have a simple continental breakfast in the lobby where the dining area is. People have to come down to get coffee anyway. The only reason I booked was because it was directly in front of the transient docks where my boat was. I probably wouldn’t stay here again. The staff was very friendly, however.

The breakfast that is offered to be delivered to your room is wrapped in aluminum foil and delivered in a box. It was supposed to be a quiche, but it was fake scrambled eggs shaped in the size of a fruit cup with some toppings on it. Not good or worth eating at all.
Bagel was toasted but delivered in a way that made it soggy and damp, not crispy.

PROS: good location and can walk to restaurants, nice waterway view, : nicely decorated lobby and rooms, elevators worked, breakfast delivered to the room, small fitness center, rooms with kitchens
CONS: very noisy A/C units like something I’ve never heard, noisy construction next door, noisy window cleaning… JUST PLAIN NOISY!
Sliding glass door to the balcony had no screen so couldn’t be left open for fresh air and windows don’t open, no maid service unless you request it, toilet paper holder very far from toilet, shower door leaked/ had to slam it to shut it, no water view rooms with two beds… had to sleep on uncomfortable pull out sofa with metal bars in my back ( the king bed could not be separated into twins for our girls week end), had to pay $7/night and $1:59’fee’/night to park the car, no restaurant there, I would not stay there again

The carpets were sticky feeling and overall just wasn’t the level of clean you would expect from a hotel. Staff were very friendly. We enjoyed our stay at the Bask Hotel. The rooms are clean, roomy, and super comfortable, and the whole place just has a friendly vibe—like everyone’s in a good mood.

It’s also nice and quiet, which makes it perfect if you just want to chill and not deal with a lot of noise or crowds. You’ve got plenty of restaurants nearby, so finding something good to eat is quick and easy.

And if you feel like getting out and exploring a bit more, Beaufort is just a short drive away with more to do, shops to check out, and that classic waterfront feel.

Overall, it’s got that laid-back, island-style vibe that makes it really easy to just relax and enjoy your trip.

Property was clean and organized. No excess lobby clutter. Great view of the water. Was pleased to hear breakfast was going to be delivered to the room. Until it came. I understand that it is a hotel kitchen, but that was probably the worst breakfast sandwich I have ever had. If there is something to improve it wokld be that. But would definitely stay again. Just would eat breakfast elsewhere.

Really cute hotel. Enjoyed the concept of having breakfast delivered, but it’s very limited. Any extended stay would get really boring. No amenities at the property and I was charged for parking once I checked in. Clean and friendly place. Rooms are comfortable. They should offer more to eat and just charge a little more up front instead of a parking fee. That just feels redundant.

the heater was very loud and made it difficult to sleep as it was in a closet in the bedroom area.
The door to the shower would not close and flooded the bathroom.
The tv in the bedroom had no sound and the ice maker did not work.
I reported all this to the front desk clerk . She was very nice , wrote it all down and pretty much explained they were aware of these issues. No compensation was offered.

The room we checked into was definitely not clean. The baseboards were dirty and the rugs were very dirty. Definitely needed renovation. After going to sleep, the heating unit sounded like it exploded every time it went on. It was a huge sound that kept waking us up. My husband went to the front desk to complain and tell them it kept waking us up and they changed our room. We moved at 3 AM. The new room was much better, no rugs and seemed much cleaner, although I booked and paid for a King room and we were moved into a queen room. Upon checkout, they would not give me a copy of the hotel bill they said since I booked through Expedia, I had to get that from Expedia. I called Expedia and Expedia told me no I had to get that from the hotel. It was very frustrating to be tossed back-and-forth like a tennis ball. Furthermore, I let Expedia know that I paid for a king room and was now in a lower priced queen room and they said they had nothing to do with that and they would have to go to the hotel to try to get the lower rate and again, of course the hotel said they could not see my rate because it was Expedia and they don’t have anything to do with Expedia. I can tell you that I will never again stay at the best hotel nor will I use Expedia again ; both were very poor experiences. I would not recommend either one!

The rooms looked fine upon arrival. Found a spider in the bed when cover was turned back. Also found a large roach type bug in the bathroom. Staff was great. Ice maker did not work in refrigerator. There was no pool available onsite. Food was good and delivered on time. The heating/ac unit return was located inside the master bedroom and was very loud. There was no material provided about the location of various amenities, or shopping, dining etc. No handsoap provided in bathroom.
The staff was very helpful. Ice machines were only available on two floors out of the 10 floors. Location was great. View was great. I would stay at this location again if coming to the area. Well kept inside. Only one available handicap accessible room onsite. More needed. We did not have one and was told at booking it was handicap accessible. Handrails etc would have made showering etc more comfort for husband who is disabled.
