We did not have the opportunity to stay at your hotel. Our reservation was made to extend our stay in Atlantic Beach for an additional night, as our son became ill. We also had a pre-booked deep sea fishing trip, which is an annual tradition for his birthday.

Due to his illness, we were forced to cancel the fishing trip, resulting in a financial loss. We were also unable to use our hotel reservation and incurred an additional loss. I contacted the hotel directly to request a change of dates and was advised to contact Expedia; however, Expedia was unable to assist with modifying the reservation.

Given these circumstances, I am requesting either a full refund or the option to change our reservation to a later date. As this situation was due to an unforeseen medical issue, I would appreciate your consideration in resolving this matter promptly.

Breakfast was the highlight point, great selection and topped op regularly. Rooms were nice, fresh and welcoming. Room attendants need to be more vigilant in cleaning. Found hair ties and clips on the floor and items left on closet shelf from previous guests. Like other reviews they really need to look into the shower design. The glass wall needs toe longer to stop water spraying onto the floor.

The staff at the Compass was amazing from top to bottom. Check in was wonderful, housekeeping always had a smile, and the waitstaff was comparable to none. The next time we are in the area that will definitely be my first choice in lodging. We were even able to have friends come in and pick us up by boat to go exploring while we stayed. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a great stay in Beaufort.

The hotel and room were generally clean.
However, our room was not ready at regular checkin time. They did give us a $25 gift card for the delay.
Our room was nice. Our bathroom could have been a little cleaner. We have decades experience in the hospitality industry, so we know where to look. The cleanliness would be an A, just not an A+.
The staff were helpful and responsive.
Breakfast was good, but not at the level I expected based on some reviews I read.
All being said, I would stay at the Compass again, if in the area.

This was honestly one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at and we have been all over the world. The pool is incredible and so is the dining option. And let’s talk about the free breakfast, wow!!! Such a spread and the property is so well maintained. Everything was great! Compass Margaritaville in Beaufort was awesome. It just opened in February 2026. The staff at check-in were very friendly. The room was clean. Fun decor. It was in a great location on a marina. You can sit by the pool and look at the boats. We had dinner at the restaurant. I suggest the tuna poke bowl. The breakfast was great. Lots of places to sit with family and friends in the lobby and outside. We played the ring toss game and had drinks on the deck after dinner. You could walk a few blocks to the waterfront in Beaufort along Front Street. There were lots of shops and the view was beautiful. I wish our trip was a little longer. We will stay here again.

The first time coming to this hotel everything looked clean and was much cleaner and nicer. But this second time when we checked in; the floors were dirty, the beds had a bunch of human hairs, showers were not clean. Toilet was also dirty. Had a pink ring around the rim of the bowl. Shower needs a door because all the water splashes everywhere. Please improve cleanliness of this hotel. It’s a nice hotel. But it needs to be clean

AMAZING! Once you stay here, you will definitely want to return. The complimentary breakfast will save you lots of money and is absolutely delicious! The complimentary water, coffee and mini desserts throughout the day is a very special touch to your trip. I'll be craving those tiny desserts until I can go back. The branded Margaritaville shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and lotion in the room makes your stay very convenient, you do not even need to bring your own because these smell out of this world! The place is SO clean, not to mention the branded air freshener that you long to smell once you leave. The atmosphere in the lobby is very welcoming. My family and I spent a lot of time there making memories, playing games and ordering desserts and pina coladas! The chocolate cake is a \"must!\" This is an all around perfect place to stay. It is convenient for walking to the Beaufort waterfront, fishing and dining. Towels are provided at the pool and you can lounge at the pool and order lunch and dinner! We will definitely be returning to paradise!

Great location in Beaufort, walkable to restaurants and bars (maybe 5-10 minutes depending on your pace), along tree-lined streets, passing charms homes. Pool area is terrific and overlooks water. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Couldn't ask for more in a quick weekend get-away, or longer. Beaufort is such a charming little Port town.

We loved our stay here in April. The hotel is very clean and lovely. Staff is so friendly and wonderfully helpful. Brought our chihuahua and the staff fawned all over him. The pool is lovely though we did not use it. Love the outdoor dining/entertainment area with the live band on the weekend. Breakfast is fantastic!

This was our first trip to stay at this very nice hotel. I am a hotel snob and I was very pleased. The only thing missing from our room was a microwave. Just a small one would be so nice.

If I had to say there was anything that I disliked, it would be that we kept blowing fuses in the room .The shower is beautiful but there’s not enough pressure to get soap out of your hair if you have long hair very quickly. There is a very nice seat that you can sit down, but the water pressure does not allow you to wash down hair and soap into the drain very easily. We would take cups of water and clean the bottom of our shower..

And if I was going to suggest anything, I would say that if you are tall to bring a toilet riser -it would be very beneficial. The toilet is very short. There’s nothing to help you to hold onto if you have any knee, back, issues, etc.

The towels are very thick and extremely nice
Each shower has body wash, shampoo and conditioner, which are very nice
At the bathroom sink, we had a blow dryer as well as a nice moisturizing lotion.

There was great bedding and they had additional blankets. The room is laid out gorgeous with two TVs one in the little sitting area one in the bedroom area.

There is an ironing board and iron.
We did go buy a fan just a little small one to circulate air in there, but the air conditioner is very nice.


We only sat on the balcony for a short period of time. There were some dead mosquitoes.

The pool AWESOME. 3 to 5 foot ✅

Very lovely well maintained hotel with a great teal blue/ orange tropical Margaritaville decor. Much better than usual complimentary breakfast with many choices and staff everywhere keeping it replenished and tidy.

Turns out if you want bar service outside on the lovely patio, it is order yourself. No table service although they do serve food at the same tables. Difficult to understand since they are one and the same.

Also no housekeeping service at all and we stayed for 3 nights. Surprising for a hotel of this quality.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff go above and beyond especially Sharon at the front desk. The complimentary breakfast was great. Very good variety! Rooms spacious and very clean. Only downfall was, there is no fan in the bathroom. Pool area very nice as the 5’oclock somewhere bar and grill. Would definitely stay there again. Close to downtown, 3 min drive or 12 min walk.

The free breakfast is by far the best hotel breakfast bar none! The room was clean and the bathroom was spotless. This is the nicest hotel in the Atlantic Beach area. Tip: Shackleford Banks is great, it’s a “must see”. Radio Island is crowded and there isn’t enough parking, the water might be calm but the vibe is chaotic. The drive to Atlantic Beach is about 15 minutes and worth it.

The staff was very attentive. Sherrie or Cherrie (sp) was extremely hospitable and made our stay special. It was our anniversary and without requesting, she and her associates treated us to chocolate cake slices as a fabulous surprise , along with balloons. The accommodations and staff were excellent. One recommendation, with a Hotel named after Buffett's famous bar and restaurant your signature drink should be a fresh Margarita. The bar did not offer this and really was not equipped to make it. The drink should feature fresh orange juice, fresh lemon juice and fresh lime juice. Should be made with a blanca top shelf tequila, agave and Cointreau. Typically cost about $15. and is about 10 to 12 ounces.

This is a new hotel so it's very modern and clean, which is nice but the best was the staff, they were so helpful and accommodating especially Sam at the front desk and Landen in the front Concierge as well as pretty much everyone. The hotel is situated within 3 blocks from the main strip in Beaufort. The best thing is it's completely dog friendly so we were able to take our two doggies with us no problem!

The room was excellent - everything felt very clean and brand new. Really spacious and beautifully decorated. The complimentary breakfast was also very satisfying— a wide range of options, including a variety of fresh fruit. The location of the hotel is really convenient, a 0.6 miles walk to the National Park Service ferry to Shackleford and Lookout. The pool was clean and well-maintained. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall a great stay!

So nice to stay in a brand new hotel. The rooms were spacious. Breakfast was fantastic. Enjoyed the live music by the pool. Great location and polite staff. The only two things I didn't like were that we asked for a harbor view in our reservation, but were given a parking lot view. The shower has a partial glass wall and the water gets all over the floor. Overall, though, a great experience with a relaxing vacation vibe. Food and drinks in the restaurant were 8/10 stars.

This is a very nice hotel! My only complaint is that I didn’t plan to stay two nights instead of just one here on our road trip. It’s modern, beautiful, clean and comfortable. Luxury at an affordable price. We especially enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. We always try to stay at hotels that offer a breakfast and the fare is usually pretty good. But this was a cut above, fresh fruit with yogurt honey or strawberry topping, freshly made French toast, a well seasoned frittata to mention a few. Also, the man who made and served the breakfast (I wish I had gotten his name) was so welcoming and friendly.
Also, the hotel is located just a 3 block walk to the shops and restaurants of this historic town.

Great bar and the food on the menu was very good.
Having stayed over 2 weeks, the cleaning of the room was lacking. The toilet was only wiped down while the bowl was not cleaned, same with the shower, lots of hard water on the shower head, shower head only has one setting and the spray flooded the bathroom, bed was made everyday but the garbage was not taken out everyday. Most of the staff was friendly and helpfull

It was a fine hotel. But it didn’t measure up to the glowing reviews I read beforehand. It was newer, so that was nice. I want impressed with the TV in the room. Pretty basic, and no streaming services. Also, maybe it’s my tech ability, but the thermostat was a bit challenging to operate simply. Also, if you stay there, make sure you get a room NOT on the first floor. We had to, as we booked it close to our visit, and we wanted a king bed. The breakfast was good, better than other chain. We might stay there again, but will look at other options first.

We stayed at the Margaritaville Compass Hotel for a weekend getaway, and overall it was a decent experience, but definitely an expensive one. Between the room, food, drinks, and parking, we spent around $1,000 for the weekend, so my expectations were pretty high.

The hotel itself was very clean, and the rooms had beautiful views overlooking the marina, which was probably one of the highlights of the stay. The pool area was also very nice and had a relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good, and the drinks were definitely strong, so no complaints there.

That said, the menu prices throughout the property felt extremely overpriced for the quality and portions. Parking was also frustrating unless you paid extra for valet service. The self-parking spots are very tight and don’t comfortably fit many vehicles, so I’d recommend planning ahead or trying to find street parking if possible.

One positive is the location — it’s within walking distance to a lot of restaurants, bars, and attractions, which made getting around easy. However, during our stay there were only two entertainment shows the entire weekend, which was disappointing considering the amount we spent. I expected a little more activity and entertainment for the price point.

Overall, it feels very tourist-oriented. While the property is clean and has some nice features, I’m not sure I would return given the overall cost versus value.

It's a nice little spot. But if you pay for a premium room with a balcony & a view, beware, they put us on the first floor with a baby gate separating us from the tint pool and the bar. And, half of the \"view\" was obstructed because they put an outdoor shower in front of the \"balcony\", so it was just a chair in a tiny boxed in corner. To know I paid as much for this room as the people on the third story bothers me quite a bit... But, the staff? Bar none! Friendly, helpful, goes above and beyond. Just don't try to call, because my God... The system they have is a mess! If you're expecting a similar experience to a Margaritaville hotel, you won't get that here. The breakfast is ok- but it's not the high-end experience you pay for. But the beds are comfy, and it's nice. I will not stay again. It's more of a $150-$200 experience. Hilton's delivery MUCH better for the price we paid.

Staff not very engaging but OK.
Strange parking policies, parking spaces on the property are \"valet\" while there are plenty free spaces especially in the off season so it is very empty at the hotel parking and full at the free public parking.
