Lovely room and bathroom, but hotel is not in a location that you can walk to historic Beaufort. Our displeasure with hotel started with being greeted by a teenager wanting to park our car or moving it off site. Having been hiking beach locations up the NC coast, our belongings were not amenable for his service. When I went inside to register, neither clerk recognized me because they were watching a wedding party take pictures in the lobby. We decided then we would not partake in any meals or paid activities at the hotel.
It would be beneficial to your guests to offer them the right to park on the hotel property proper (they made us park at rarely used dirt lot hundreds of yards away). Even if you charged an additional $15 per night just to park, which was the cost for valet (tipping not included), it would allow your guests the freedom to come and go without waiting in line for their car.
Do better with your logistics and customer service.

The property is gorgeous, as was the room. The staff was very attentive. We kept our car in valet parking during our weekend stay- We could have it retrieved for us via our phone so that it was always ready when we wanted it. We wrongfully assumed that the bar would be quiet on Sat night, but there was live music that was very enjoyable and not so loud that we couldn’t talk to each other. It was perfect. Then we had Sunday brunch which was phenomenal. We highly recommend The Beaufort Hotel and cannot say enough good things about it.

The standout feature of this hotel is the shower—spacious, with plenty of hot water, and easily one of the best I’ve experienced. The room itself was large, clean, and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed that made for a relaxing stay. The property is located in a quiet, somewhat remote area along the water (not a beach), offering pretty views and even the unique sight of wild horses nearby.
Check-in was quick and efficient, and both the hallways and room were kept in excellent condition. One thing to note is that parking is about a 4–5 minute walk away and requires crossing the street unless you opt for valet service at an additional cost.

My first room had a very strong smell. I was given a second room that was clean and spacious, the bathroom was large and toiletries were nice. The hotel has a restaurant with water views, morning coffee is complimentary. Bring your water to drink as they don’t provide complimentary water and each bottle in your room is $8 plus tax. They offer self parking near the hotel or valet for $15 plus tax per night which is very reasonable. They have a pool and exercise room as well. Lovely views from the main building.

Good stay - parking needs improvement
This was a great hotel. Amenities were in good condition and the restaurant on site if good. The one snag I think is the parking situation. You can pay $15 a day for valet but to self park, you have to park offsite at an overflow lot for boat trailers.

I loved the beautiful property as well as dining options at the 34 degrees North Restaurant and the helpfulness of the staff. The only negative was that parking is $15 for valet or you have to take a 5 minute walk back and forth to your car which is much farther at the edge of their property and across another street.

There was some confusion with checkin. I was given room keys . The room was not ready. The second room the key did not work . After a third trip to the front desk I was given the correct room key for the correct room . I was told they were training a new front desk person . This is the first time I have had any issues with the hotel . The rest of our visit was great . The entire staff is very nice . So will definitely be back .

Staff was diffident, uninterested in helping guests arrive and depart, with one exception: a bouyant young female valet who tracked down a USB-C cable for me. Amazingly, if you don’t use valet parking ($15 a day), you have to park in an “event” lot some 400 meters away. This requires crossing Lennoxville Road on foot, going and coming, weather notwithstanding. The hotel’s location in relation to the Beaufort waterfront leaves much to be desired.

There’s better places to stay…
Upon arrival, there was mold on the ceiling and the AC wasn’t working. I immediately called the front desk and they were able to switch rooms for us. I’m shocked that they didn’t know there was literal mold on the ceiling, and willingly put people in a room with mold and no AC? It wasn’t worth the money we paid. It was basically a glorified motel. For a “boutique hotel” you’d think they have higher cleanliness standards. You could get a better room and stay at a Hilton or Marriott. Wish they would pay attention to detail, as it was extremely distressing to walk in to that. We were there for a wedding and were very dissatisfied in the service provided. Not to mention we didn’t receive daily room service like they advertise. Trash lining the halls, empty glasses littering the floors, very musty smell. The pool was very outdated and there was trash laying around there too. Also some kind of weird rocks or flakes of something all around the pool, so it would stick to your feet and get on your lounge chair. I don’t know… seems a bit pricey for what we experienced. Very dissatisfied.

The parking lot was a block away from the hotel Upon arrival it was utter chaos trying to get into the hotel to check in and then learning that parking was either by Valet at $15 a day or parking a block away ( and it was raining)

We had to change rooms as the TV didn't work. First the reception staff tried to fix it, then the engineer had to come out and he to take the TV off the wall. He got it to work but then we had issues shortly again after. They then changed our room but we got a room we didn't originally book. The dog fee at $60 per night is also excessive. Especially as I had to go and ask reception to go clean our room because by 3pm nothing had been done. At check out, I didn't even get asked how our stay was. It wasn't all bad, but it did leave a dent in our entire experience / long weekend in Beaufort.

Brochure says self park is over 200 yards (2 football fields) Hotel is not within walking distance from downtown Beaufort so you have to use valet to visit the town.Main hotel has nice water view but the Nextdoor annex not so much. Did not use restaurant/bar but they looked over the bay with good views. Will not use the hotel again as there are better options
