If you like full-sized, NOT QUEEN beds, that are sagging and old and the springs make noise with every movement, this is the hotel for you. This is the only Hampton in memory with beds that remind me of bad hotels from the 80's. The beds were so bad we forfeited our 2nd night and cancelled the 3rd (thank goodness the hotel staff were able to refund us the 3rd night). This hotel is managed by a management company and they are clearly not doing maintenance. The hotel carpet is old and stained and wrinkling and the exterior needs a power wash. Hard to believe that a hotel on such a nice water view property has not been taken care of. We tried staying at all Hilton properties in order to have nice beds and amenities, but Hilton failed with several of their properties. NO MORE, going back to hotels.com and booking the best hotel in the area, not relying on Hilton, this management company is ruining the Hilton brand. When I explained how bad the beds were the staff were totally in agreement and understood that management has been very lax and are completely aware of the shortcomings.

Breakfast was good and staff was friendly. Our room refrigerator had leftover melted ice cream in the freezer which is still there by the way, we left it. We had a very sticky rusted trash can in the area to use.The fold out couch was very uncomfortable to use and we had to ask for sheets and pillows and make it ourselves to use it. Room wasnt cleaned our first morning even though we left before 11am. Came back to a dirty room with no clean towels but when I asked for clean towels someone brought them. I expected better than this although the staff at the desk were very helpful. They need new maids or interested ones in cleaning.

I visited in the off-season, but being in a hotel on the water was fantastic. I caught two beautiful sunsets the weekend I was there, and from the back parking lot of the hotel, you can walk to the embankment of yard where it meets the Bogue Sound. My hotel room was great; breakfast was good. My only minor issue is that the pillows were not as solid as some others I've slept on at Hilton/Hampton hotels, but that's an easy fix: bring your own pillows. I shouldn't have assumed they'd be the same as other hotels. All else was wonderful!

When we first checked in, the girl at the front guest didn't look you in the eyes and never smiled. She was efficient and explained answers to our questions very well. It's just nicer to have an open and friendly person great you at the front desk after a long day. When we checked out there was an older woman who was very friendly and gracious.

Toilet handle did not work properly and it was not fixed while we were there for two days. I reported it the first day.
Also the toaster was broken and only toasted on one half. I spoke to staff and they said manager knew about it and did nothing.

I have stayed in this hotel many times. It has a good convenient location. But the rooms need attention, the black out curtains are dirty and covered in mildew, the ottoman was very dirty and covered in stains. Just a little more effort and this hotel could achieve a higher rating. The staff are always friendly but I am worried the hotel is not being maintained well and becoming run down.

I was mislead by the advertising they have. stating that it has an ocean view. Well I never seen the ocean from any angle from any part of the property. I booked the room because I thought it was ocean front. Even if it stayed partial ocean view. A room with partial ocean view would be e been fine. I went by their word only which was a huge mistake. Love the water view. Convenient location. Have been staying here for many years. Bathrooms have not been improved at all. Commode so low to the floor like it was made for a young child. Trouble getting the commode to flush. Water shoots out of faucet. Hard to control. Mattresses uncomfortable and slide easily off the bed. Rooms are outdated. Not improved for years. Outside of the building could definitely be updated. Starting to look very old.

The property needed ALOT of landscaping, lots of dead bugs in dining area that staff killed but didn't bother to pick up. Walked by and just left there. Afternoon and evening staff not friendly at all. Morning staff very friendly! Elevators very dirty. Lots of pot smoking out in back parking lot by construction workers staying at the hotel, also at the pool.

We booked last minute because the hotel we booked flooded. This room was more expensive and farther away from everything. Water view was blocked by a huge tree. Drapes were stained. Front desk staff were not rude but not very friendly either. Received key at check in and all that was said after was \"Elevator is on the left\". At check out, we were not asked how our stay was, just if we wanted a receipt. Hotel is small and so are the rooms and the bathrooms. This is a just an average hotel and too expensive for what it is. Not sure I would stay there again.

It was an adequate hotel. It was an expensive time to visit the area so I appreciate the value for money. However, the rooms are old and somewhat run down. The bed and main area were clean, but the bathroom still was kind of dirty and had a big hair on the sink when we arrived. I was hoping it would be a renovated Hampton Inn, but it was old. The curtains were sticky and stained, and the tv was tiny and probably from the 2000s. The staff was friendly, so it was a good experience overall, but I wish that the hotel rooms had better cleanliness and care.

Hotel was nice. Standard rooms no real frills. Staff was nice. Breakfast was excellent and breakfast staff were amazing. Only complaint was pool. We stated for a weekend Fri and Sat night. Check out at 11 on Sun. The pool wasn't open on Sunday due to cleaning per hotel front desk. However, no one was actively cleaning the pool and it did not open at 10 as the staff said it would. Just a mild inconvenience, but one last splash in the pool would have made my kids day. It really appeared that the pool being closed was just to deter people from waiting to check out. Pool posted hours stated it was open at 8am just for clarity.

Our TV did not wk, a work order was put in by the staff, when the head engineer came in the next morning not only did she replace our TV , she replaced it with a bigger size. She was very friendly and carried on like we have been friends.forever. I definitely would recommend this hotel. Very nice. Stay quiet clean relaxed atmosphere and you can walk down in back of the hotel to the waterfront. Very nice.

We recently stayed at this property and overall had a pleasant experience. The staff were consistently polite, professional, and accommodating, which made check-in and daily interactions smooth and enjoyable. The hotel itself was mostly clean and well-maintained, offering a comfortable environment throughout the stay.

That said, there were a couple of areas that could be improved. The breakfast bar was quite limited and underwhelming compared to expectations, which was disappointing and later was a little bit hard on the digestive system.

My main concern, however, was with the room assignment. We had reserved an ADA-accessible room with double beds and a view, but upon arrival, we were informed that due to limited availability, we had been downgraded to a different room that did not include a walk-in shower or a view.

As someone with family that specifically requires accessible features, this was a significant inconvenience.

The down stairs convenient store also was not stocked so we have to go to CVS, again not that big of a deal but would have been nice.

Despite that, I would still consider staying here again. However, I would strongly recommend confirming room availability well in advance to ensure the appropriate accommodations are in .
