There was a hole in the ceiling in the hallway with a ladder and fan blowing up the hole. The tub was cracked and weak to stand on. The walls were so thin we could hear somebody’s tv on all night. The air conditioner went on and off but never cooled down the room. The breakfast muffins and sweet rolls tasted stale.
Judy L.
It’s fine, just an older hotel. Breakfast was good. Room was clean. I’d stay there again. It’s just old.
Karla

Breakfast was limited pet friendly pretty clean non smoking shower water pressure was great
Steve
We were assigned a room with a roll in shower designed for the disabled and it was difficult to use for the able bodied. The shower apparently hadn't been used in awhile and had an unpleasant smell until water was run down the drain. Also, there were no shelves or counters in the bathroom to place items and soap was limited to one small bar. Other than that , the room and motel was very clean and the bed and pillows comfortable.

Clean, pleasant room with all expected amenities. Reception person very helpful, helped with luggage without being asked when he saw we had a lot.
Joseph
Enjoyed my stay with my family, was quiet, clean, friendly staff, and the breakfast was good.
Lisa
The bed was horrible to sleep on. Too hard for both of us. The hot water for the shower never did get very hot. Also the fridge made very loud screeching sounds throughout the night. If we didn't have items in it I would have unplugged it. Breakfast wasn't great. The yogurts were all \"expired\" by at least 2 weeks. The waffles and cereal were good. They were out of the eggs and sausages when we were there.
Chad
The check in process was easy. The noise of the fridge and the neighbors were horrible. I never slept. I actually just left at 3am cause I can’t stand it anymore. I would rather risk driving with no sleep in the dark then spend another minute in that room. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
Edwin
Dozens of ants in the bathroom. Plaster was falling off the ceiling in the bathroom.
Some of the plug ins did not work.
Breakfast was ok. food was good. Seating was very limited.

Room was extremely clean. Beds were comfortable. Heard slamming doors and people talking all night. Had to turn on the air conditioner to drown out the noise.

Clean and well maintained
This is an older hotel that is well maintained and very clean! Staff was helpful. We just needed a place to sleep while traveling through and the price made it very affordable. We would stay again for such purposes.

Easy, nice stay
Great one night stay, pet friendly, with a yummy breakfast in the morning. Staff is friendly and quick. Bed was very comfortable and the room was suitable for our needs. Minus one star since the TV wasn’t connected to any cable or streaming network, didn’t work at all. Despite that I would 100% stay again!

Needs a little love but very clean!
The room was the cleanest of the 3 hotels we've stayed in the last week and the towels were big enough. However, when I took a shower, I noticed the tub had some give in it and the vent above the shower looked like it was about to fall down. Would have given 5 stars if he hadn't been for these things and the train right next to it.
Betsy
Clean, soft beds, everything well kept.
Terry
A nice surprise
A gem at a budget price. Very friendly staff, clean room. Very quiet. Only one minor zinger was the lack of àn elevator. No problem for us. Would definitely recommend!
Ken
Very nice placeThe staff was super helpful and friendly
Karen
The most frustrating part is that I checked in on July 8; I was required to use my credit card for a $50 room deposit. To date (15 July) this has NOT been credited back to me. I called and was told, \"Oh, we'll take care of that.\" What? Why was it kept? Very bad business.
Dawn
Stay here. I will be back
Great property and service. So comfortable. Thank you
David
Good value
Great value decent breakfast. Only thing had issue with is shower control. Good thing had a picture there for explanation. Happy with stay

Great option for passing through
There was some initial confusion with our reservation but it was resolved quickly. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was great as well.
Althea
Old hotel. Hallways are dark. Carpets need replacing throughout. Furniture old. Needs a real good makeover.
Fran
Sravina was great ! She was very helpful!
Great bed and above average breakfast!
Great bed and above average breakfast!

This property was okay for a quick overnight while traveling. We chose this mainly because they allow dogs.
We stayed at this location on the way to our destination and on the return.
The first time there was no shampoo or conditioner only lotion.😪 but on our return trip they did have it, so not sure what the difference was. Different housekeepers maybe. Over all it was alright.

Staff was helpful and understanding fixing my reservation mistake, room was clean an quiet, reasonably priced!
Walter
Competitive price. Friendly staff. Bad smell in first floor rooms
Leslie
We liked how friendly the staff was. Anything we needed they took care of immediately. The on complaint I have is the rooms need updating and new furnishings. They are worn and don’t look that nice.
Craig
Always happy when I stay at this hotel.
Phillip
Host was very pleasant. There is no elevator in the motel; unusual as it has three floors. Reasonably priced for our overnight stay. Walls between rooms allow too much noise from next room. Overall very acceptable.
Jordan
Decent price but didn’t feel like the safest place. Walls were thin and could hear so much going on outside my room.
Elizabeth
Very clean, new paint. Bed was very hard. Could hear an entire phone conversation from the guest next door.
Sunil
Worth the money
I stayed at Quality inn Gillette location on my way to Mt Rushmore, the hotel was clean, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of options for the amount I've paid . The front desk lady was very helpful and promptly assisted with any requests.
Janis
Disappointing
Hotel older with much needed upgrades visible. Lack of electrical outlets particularly galling. Overall did not seem up to expected standards for Quality.
Daniel
The cable TV was not working. The toilet had a bad flapper valve, and ran consistently. I had to eventually turn off the water supply to the toilet so that we could sleep. The parking lot was littered with food items and trash. This is a solid 2-star facility.
Jim
Not really quality inn’s fault but no tv service at all. No coffee cups in room. No warning that there was a $100 deposit on dog. The good was the receptionist who was so kind and polite and helpful.
Sharon
Staff was difficult. They charge the credit card $100 deposit on arrival. Most hotels just put a hold on. I had to call them several times to credit back the $100 deposit. We had to climb stairs to get to the room. You have to either go downstairs to the first floor or upstairs to the second and third floor. We actually cancelled this hotel for our return trip and even paid more to stay in a different hotel
Jeff
The staff was wonderful and the room was so clean. The coffee and breakfast was delicious. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Brenda
Check-in was easy. We prebooked our room online. Room was very clean. Lots of amenities including hairdryer, fridge, microwave iron & ironing board. The continental hot breakfast was excellent! Sausage, eggs, toast, waffles, cereal, yogurt, muffins, doughnuts coffee, tea, & juice. Room was quiet with a comfortable bed. Will definately stay here again!
Michael
Front desk staff were unprofessional and tried to \"hit on\" my partner, in my opinion. This front desk staff person could not properly understand English, in my opinion. Also, my room had very poor telephone operator service. Further, the refrigerator had melted water on differing levels of the shelves. In my opinion mgt did poor training with their front desk staff. I would not recommend this hotel to any of my friends or relatives. This hotel needs new management staff.
Cody
Staff was nice. Room was clean. Sink faucet had more water than the shower. Good thing I have shower camping so I could shower with minimal water.
Heather

Room was clean, well kept, and the hotel was quiet.

Staff was wonderful and hotel was exceptionally clean.

Would really help is first floor rooms did not have AC and heater wall units sucking in diesel truck fumes cause they back into parking places. It was pretty nasty. A simple sign to say, not to back into spaces. Thanks much guys....
Shannon
I did not like that I saved a 2 queen room and I got a 2 full size beds room

Great for pets, convenient location
We selected the Quality Inn, Gillette, for ots pet friendly options. We are traveling for youth sports and must take our fur babies, too.
They did not disappoint! Check-in was a breeze and they provided a room by a side door so we could discretely step out for restroom breaks. They did not have a dumpter that I could see, which made pet discard disposal less than easy. They have a great area in the back to throw a ball and exercise dogs.
My only comment is that the pet fee was kind of secretive. It is not posted, it was not clearly stated at check-in, and if I would not have asked for a receipt, I would not see a $20 per pet fee. This is steep but understandable. I suggest being up-front with pricing.
A great place and we will stay again.

A great place and we will stay again.

Adequate
Room was ok but the AC/Heating unit was constantly turning on and off keeping the room at 70 degrees while weather was below freezing.

This place was clean and perfectly acceptable for an overnight stay, however, the room that I was given (202) was directly over the kitchen where breakfast is prepared. At 4am this area came alive! I had no idea it was the kitchen at the time. I thought there was someone working in a mechanical room doing some kind of repair but I kept hearing water running and what sounded like pots or buckets banging. It stopped abruptly at 6am. At 630am I stopped to get a cup of coffee prior to leaving and saw the location of the kitchen directly under my room. It all made sense then. I would recommend this place for a clean and easy stay but just don’t stay in room 202. The breakfast had a great variety and was a nice spread.

Nothing fancy, but the room was very clean, and the property was very quiet

When I got to my room they had been working on plumbing and left the tools in the room along with the bath faucet piece was off. Also please during winter as standard practice put a warm blanket in the room. The heater makes it too hot to sleep you need a semi warm room and blankets. I know it cuts down on laundry and bed bugs but in mountainous northern regions it is needed.
