Although the hotel wasn’t the greatest, compared to our previous horrible stay at Rodeway inn in rapid city this was like heaven.
It smelled like an older hotel, but it was tolerable. Just the fact it had a breakfast was a win, but not much of one. Staff stated fresh coffee was available 24/7. I went to get a cup, but it was cold.
Breakfast did not match the images on the app. Bagels were completely frozen and somehow they didn’t provide any knives. I had to use a plastic fork to try and cut my frozen bagel so I could toast it. The staff setting up the breakfast area was regularly coughing over things, and I lost my appetite very quickly.
Other than that it was ok.

The room was clean but dated. Couldn't open the window as the screen was tattered. The bathroom- tub needed a cleaning, walls were several different finishes, none a class 4.
Breakfast- no proteins, no fruit. out of coffee the second morning. Just waffles, almost no bread, and instant oatmeal packets with no hot water.

The Motel was as basic as you can get. their is no micro wave, no mini refrigerator, no table in the room, their is a place for a Kleenex box, but no tissues, no security door hook, the walls were patched up with mismatched paint. The TV, I've never heard of
G TV, instead of Dish network, or Direct TV, or local cable, but no G TV, it's terrible no local channels, no ABC, NBC, or CBS. This place is the bottom of the line for being so BASIC. I yea, I also almost for got the continental breakfast. What a joke, 2 types of cereal, but no milk, Waffle maker, but no syrup. A pot of coffee what was almost empty.
And to top it all off, I booked this place 2 months in advance, I had to pay for it at the time. With no cancellation policy, you cancel, no refund, the people that worked their were very friendly, and helpful, Rooms need to be repainted, real bad.

When we arrived there was only one person on staff who hadn't been trained how to operate the reservation computer. After waiting 45 minutes for the problems of the previous guest, our check in took an additional 30 minutes. He had to change our reservation because he couldn't get the system to accept our original room. I was assured that I would only be charged for one room, but I've had to post a complaint with my credit card to get the duplicate charge removed.

The two - bed room had no chairs. The security door needed repair. The breakfast tasted like leftovers from the day before.

Clean enough to stay the night. Cooling unit worked but had damage. Hardly any breakfast amenities. Only eggs, no bacon or sausage. No plates, just bowls. Milk had skin on it. Coffee maker had hot water, no coffee. So you couldn't eat cereal, eggs and toast were there, no butter, no jam. I used to be corrections officer. We gave prisoners better breakfasts. Very sad. During the night an outlet in our room stopped working. Unfortunately, my husband's dialysis machine was plugged into it creating a critical health situation. I went to the front desk to report this. The staff person had her 2 children with her at work, one being an infant and the other about 6 years old. There were no other employees on duty. She could not focus on my concern, but instead blamed me for not calling during the night so our room could be changed. We were asleep. She wouldn't let me explain at all but instead told me we needed to get out because I was harassing her. I asked for a number for management which she said she didn't have. However, she eventually called the manager who also told us to get out, but refused to even speak to me over the phone. Very bad customer service. I'm sure she was stressed at having to care for 2 children while also being the only staff on the property, but refusing any communication by the manager, and being told to leave the property was truly upsetting. They clearly feel no duty provide a safe stay for their guests.

Personal identifiable information risk

Good hotel, some card issues, not friendly for a large dude like me and concern with personnel identifiable information privacy during check in. During check in the clerk photo copied my driver license to the paperwork. Why is beyond me. However if there is a breach of my personal info that traces back to super 8 there will be a lawsuit. All that is need is to view my id and get a CC for incidentals. The room was alright but needed a desk for night work without the desk no feedback o the internet. The Microwave barely worked and had burn marks inside. The refrigerator was a freezer and froze my soda and water. The AC did work and kept the room cool. The bathroom sink did not drain so only a minute to wash up then wait 15 minutes to drain. The toilet is small and for females and the shower head really low at chest level for the standard american. Also for the first several days my key card would not work. Interesting thing was if the staff was american resolved quickly if it was a foreigner it was a hassle with needing to show id and proof of stay. Overall the hotel is in good shape and moderately clean. The hotel is next to the interstate so high traffic noise. The area seemed safe. breakfast was hot and consistent eggs and sausage. also had a waffle maker. some staff nice other staff not so much. Overall a good stay but with the oriental sized bathrooms, unnecessary collection of Personal information, lack of a desk and functional microwave i pick someplace else.

I booked this hotel after looking at the reviews and pictures. It was a great deal. Walked in and there were holes in the bottom of the walls in the lobby that looked as if mice chewed through the walls. The room was just nasty, stains on the walls of something splattered, bathroom was dirty. The beds had dead bugs on the back of it. Room had barely any lighting. They said they didn't even have a clean room for us to stay in but happened to find one (I don't think it was a clean room). staff tried very hard but didn't seem like they knew what they were doing, she was pleasant. We actually ended up leaving the hotel and not staying because of the state of the hotel. I would not recommend staying here.

The “original” room was not working the sink was leaking all over the floor in the bathroom & the bathroom fan was not working.
Secondly, the same day shift gal was very unhelpful, thirdly they were doing construction when all I needed was some solid sleep as I was extremely sick.
Lastly, the night shift employee was AMAZING!! Kudos to her!! She was the only reason we ended up staying an extended night.
I understand remodeling as they were however after 8:00 pm and before 7:00 am was completely unexpected.

Not recommended. When we checked in, we were told the rooms had new carpet. They did, but that's all they had that was new or reasonable. The paint was peeling off the walls in the bathroom, the room walls were severely scuffed, and it smelled real funky. The shower curtain needed washed, the blankets didn't appear clean (sheets did). The pictures online were super misleading. Not sure what room the pictures were from but it definitely wasn't the room we were in.

Appears they are slowly updating an extremely old hotel. The staff was always pleasant and kind. Even for the cheap price, I would not recommend.
