Our shower did not work, Front desk staff told us they were going to send maintenance and no one ever showed up. We went back and they told us there was nothing they could do until the manager got back tomorrow because they didn’t have another room. We ended up leaving and finding another motel.

Highly recommend, do not stay here. They will be no help with any issues

It is a great value for the price. It is perfect for someone who doesn't care about all of extras like a continental breakfast.

This is a very quiet hotel. I could barely hear the other guests. It has been updated and has nice, new furniture and a comfortable bed. The blackout curtains (room was completely dark despite having a light outside window), microwave and fridge (w/o freezer) were an added bonus. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, although someone, possibly cleaning staff, left their safety glasses in my room.

The only part I didn't like was the dark hall with insufficient lighting, which was a little unsettling for a solo female traveler. And the light fixtures in the rooms were not as bright as they need to be.

Separate entrance for railroad employees but nothing directing you to public guest entrance. Air conditioning unit extremely loud when it came on, woke us up every time it came on. Remote had dead batteries. Alarm clock did not work. Staff not very friendly. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Coffeemaker, fridge, microwave, ironing supplies and hair dryer all available.

Outdated but clean and comfortable

The building is old and definitely smells like it. The furniture in the rooms is somewhat stained and outdated. The shower floor was stained. The carpet could use to be replaced. BUT...
The staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean. Our room was quiet and clean, and we slept well. The hotel is old enough that the room doors are those old heavy fire doors and very solid-a huge plus!!
Breakfast would be a nice added touch. I would absolutely stay here again!

Comfortable and clean reception not so good.

Most of the stay was good. Room was clean and comfortable. The part that was not so great was the check in. The gentleman be hind the desk was not friendly at all. He didn't even stand up to great us. He seemed upset that the card I reserved the room under had previously been cancelled due to a fraued issue that I had.

This is a standard motel, nothing remarkable. Built like box, long hallways, all one level, no decorations, very sterile and institutional. Ok for a one night stop on a road trip.

The log in book for the hotel’s employees was sprawled out on the front counter where guests check in. It was inappropriate, tacky, and probably not very secure for the hotel. The desk area behind the counter was quite a mess as well. My room was clean and comfortable so I still rate it a 4 but the check in counter needs a bit of professional attention!

It's an older hotel and not as fancy as some of the ones around it, but you can't beat the price, and the staff was nice. The room was plain but well kept and clean. Plenty of shampoo and conditioner and comfy beds. Dog approved as well:). Looking forward to staying on our way back through.

Services lacking

It was okay. Comments by the gentleman that checked us in were weird and inappropriate for a mother daughter staying by themselves. We never received any cleaning service in 4 days so had to take out our own garbage etc. The room was okay though.

The property needs an elevator!
Or it needs to mention that there are no elevators in the details. Also didn't like a toilet that is very stained and has no seat cover. The shower floor was also stained & looked dirty.
But with that said it was & quiet & mostly clean & comfortable.

Miserable night.

The hotel needs some repairs. The AC didn’t work… we called and they gave us instructions to restart it but it didn’t help and we had to give up bc it was late and had two kids that needed to sleep. But it was miserable. Also needs new carpet bc there were a lot of places we didn’t want to step. The bathroom door didn’t close bc the toilet blocked it. It was really not a comfortable stay esp for the price.

Rooms were cold, temp couldn't be adjusted, unit kept blowing cold air until I finally unplugged it the second night. Blankets on bed were super thin, even doubled over we were very cold. Winter in Wyoming, room should have been able to be heated and had warmer blankets.

Do not recommend

Booked the room arrived to a no vacancy. Hotel desk said they overbooked had to spend an hour on the phone to get a refund from Hotels.com because room was booked with no refund plus had to find another place to stay!! Almost no worth booking ahead so much for technology when you have incompetent people working at this hotel

Not too bad.

This hotel was pretty average, not so bad but nothing to make it great. There wasn't enough parking and there wasn't any breakfast provided, though they offered a coupon to a local restaurant. Staff was friendly. It was affordable which made it ok.

Needs to do better..

The positive is that for an older hotel this was cleaner then I expected.
The bed was comfortable but only one thin blanket is given.

There is separate treatment at this hotel if you book third party. I requested an early check in and was told no because I booked through Hotels.com. After I voiced my concerns about the difference in treatment the woman on the phone agreed to let me come an hour earlier.
When I got to the hotel the receptionist informed me that was what the manager wanted.
Not good business since they are choosing to allow bookings and they are getting paid.
Had it not been for this manager’s decision to separate third party bookings from direct booking I may have considered this place for my trip back in two months but I will not return.

This hotel serves a great many \"repeat customers,\" so it has the art of responding to individual requests down pat. During our month-long travel experience with increased demand on facilities, many are struggling to meet the needs of the traveling public - not so in this gem. The staff listens and responds to your every request. It may be missing some of the 'bells and whistles' of more expensive options, however it more than compensates for any perceived 'deficiencies' by cheerfully providing top-notch service and a laid-back but efficient staff who go out of their way to make the weary traveler comfortable. Grab the next available room and see for yourself!

Need a new manager

The manager was very rude and acted angry because we reserved the last room. She was even cursing about it.

Her attitude insures that we eill never reserve a room at this establishment again.

The room was fine for one night. Bed was not very comfortable.

The staff was fabulous! Chris was postive and helpful-she was great. The bathroom was slick and didn't have any handrail. Made it hard for someone in our party that uses a cane and I specifically asked for a room that was accessible if possible. The location was great inside the hotel, but that bathroom was unsafe for someone with a cane and balance issues.

Travelodge did not have my confirmed reservation!!

When we arrived they did not have our reservation through Hotels.com at all. Fortunately that did have a room available and they nearly matched the price that was quoted by Hotels.com. It was very frustrating to think we had a guarantied reservation and not having any reservation at all. I will be switching to another reservation company.

Okay for one night

It was good for 1 night. The air conditioner didn’t work, but they gave us a box fan. There was not a luggage cart, but, they let us use their rolling laundry cart. The staff tried to be accommodating. The bed was very comfortable, and the curtains were truly black out curtains.

Clean afforable hotel

If you're looking for an afforable cheap stay this is it. Stayed in a double bed for a night with a child, rooms are on the small side but we didn't mind. Room and bathroom were pretty clean and neat. Front desk staff are nice. They don't provide breakfast so they give you 20% off at Perkins which is across the road and food is good there. Would stay again for sure.

Decent, not the best. Great A/C, bathroom lacking.

Staff was friendly and rooms were clean. It was nice to have a microwave in the room, as well as a ceiling fan & A/C unit. This added to the comfort of the stay. My primary concerns were that the sink was not draining completely. Also, the showerhead was about 5 1/2' tall, so thank goodness it was a handheld showerhead. If not, this would have been pretty uncomfortable for me as I am over 6' tall. Also, the construction of the shower (i.e. floor base/lip) and the shower curtain did not do much to give plenty of water from escaping while showering. Thankfully the shower pressure was great.
Finally, there were no hooks to hang wet towels and no place in the shower to place soap... Glad there was a shower seat outside of the shower to serve as a \"shower caddy\". Overall, just fine for a couple of nights, especially as the price was very reasonable. However, we will try another hotel when visiting Gillette next time.
