The friendliness they’re going over and behind to make sure everything is correct in your room before you check in. I requested the first floor and I got the first floor if you’re an animal lover your love this place because there’s cats outside waiting to greet you and when you came in, there were cats and there was a nice lady sitting in the archway welcoming you in. I highly recommend this place. I’m going back on March 28 and I’m staying here again. I just check to see if I could stay there and I can’t because they are sold out for the day I want

I am allergic to cats. There was an area set up right outside the front door with a blanket, water and food that a cat was on. Door didn’t shut all the way. Once inside there was another cat in the main lobby area. It was also right outside my door as I left.

When I arrived, the front desk man first told me that he couldn't find my reservation, and he told me I should have just showed up at the desk and they would have charged me just $60.00 for the room. Since I had already prepaid for my stay (for less than $60.00) I started looking for proof of my prepaid reservation. Then he suddenly found the reservation in papers that he had at the desk. He then told me he only had a couple rooms of the size I wanted. I told him that I didn't have to single queen size bed room, and he could substitute another room type. He said there was an extra charge if I wanted to get a different room, so I decided to take the room I reserved, even though he discouraged me from taking it. When I arrived in the room I found that the curtain wouldn't stay closed, and the vent fan in the bathroom wasn't working. Since it was very late, I decided to just stay and not complain. When I woke up in the morning I found that there was no wash cloth, no tissues, and very warm water was coming out of the cold water taps on the sink and tub until they had been running about two minutes. The volume control on the TV remote was intermittent. Also, there are what seemed like abandoned vending machines (unplugged and with no products in them) in the lobby. The hotel definitely needs a lot of maintenance, replacement of worn fixtures, decorating, etc.

Cat lovers will absolutely rush to this place and rave about it! There are at least two cats living in the lobby area where the breakfast bar and tables are housed. While some might love it, I think a call to the health authorities is warranted. The room itself was adequate and clean. I will skip this property in the future.

Well…I am honestly shocked that Expedia would list this hotel on their site. I booked the hotel and for $39.99 a night didn’t have high expectations. When I showed up they wanted an additional $300.00 as a security deposit. The other option the offered me was an additional $40.00 per night which brought the room up to $80.00 a night. This was a complete rip off and I would tell anyone to avoid this hotel at all costs. The hotel was not very clean and there are cats everywhere to include inside the facility. To get the room for $40.00 a night you expect less than great but to be forced to either pay an additional $300.00 or $40.00 a night is a complete and total rip off. Best to find somewhere else to stay!!!

I didn't appreciate the fact that they placed a hold on my credit card for $150 and I hated the fact that the place was crawling with cats which I am deathly allergic to so I had to carry an EPI pen in my pocket the whole time I was there. I had fleas in my room that probably came from the damn cats. Fortunately, I carry a towel and washcloth with me everywhere I travel because there were no washcloths in the bathroom and the clerk didn't tell me until I checked out that they didn't have any washcloths and people were supposed to use the hand towels for washcloths. That would have been nice to know before I had to use mine.

This is dn easy access hotel with plenty of food & retail close.
The hotel is no frills, older, & dated... But it's beds (or rm 214)are comfortable, full water pressure for a decent shower 🚿. It's quiet and convenient.

If you are allergic or just don’t like cats this place is not for you. Personally, I adore cats. And they deter mice. They didn’t have a breakfast in the morning, though even though they kind of had a set up and the coffee was lukewarm. I would stay there again if I happen to put it again, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

Several cats outside front door with feeding dish. Another cat in lobby jumping up in front counter. Was greeted at counter by man wearing stained white t-shirt. Staff was pleasant. Had some ants in bathroom eating something on floor when we first arrived. Tub faucet heavy dripping, could not shut off. Bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast consisted of cheerios, cornflakes, oatmeal and a loaf of bread. No fruit, bagels, etc. Fire alarm went off twice just before we checked out. Firemen came out twice.

While the room was tolerable, there were at least 8-10 stinking cats loitering around the front door, inside the lobby and even in the clerks area. The hallways smelled like cat urine on the first floor and a strong smell of marijuana permeated the second floor. They advertised a bar an a pool, the bar has been closed for at least five years and the pool is also closed. Would NOT recommend this place and I definitely will not stay there again.

It list pool but under construction they dont tell you that beforehand and its supposed to be a smoking room but after you pay they make you sighn a paper that they'll charge you 150.00 if fire alarm goes off and tell you that if more than one person in room you must rotate 1 cig every 45 minutes they offer you a up grade room which is a king size bed but for 178.00 for 2 nights its truly over-priced and they show a coffee maker in room notta ! Had to buy one also they advertise a breakfast its completely empty there were other things but those were the biggest complaints

I booked at 11pm on the 19th of August and arrived at 2:30am on the 20th of August. When I got there I was told they couldn’t find my prepaid online booking and I was charged another $80 for one night (booked for 4 nights, 4 people). When we got into the room we found a dead roach in the fridge and we killed a live roach on the outside of the fridge. At 10:30am I spoke to a man at the front desk who was able to locate my online booking and he claimed I would be getting a refund of my $80 (never happened) I also informed him about the roaches and asked for my room to be cleaned again. He said housekeeping came in at 11am. This is when I left for work. While at work my 17 yr old daughter called and said a different worker informed her that I was only allowed 2 people and not 4 and would have to pay a additional $10 per person per day. I called the hotel and informed the man I would not be paying that because my booking was for 4 people. I also informed him of the roaches because more dead and live roaches were found by my children (we have pictures and live video of these roaches) he then began cussing me out informed me I wasn’t the fing boss and the manager didn’t wait for my god danged butt (he actually used cuss words for this) I told him several times to stop cussing at me that I wasn’t cussing him and yet he continued to cuss me and demand additional funds. He then hung up on me. He lied to Expedia said I was there 2 days and no bugs refused my refund!

Check in was smooth this time. 4th stay, finally no hard time for booking on line. Thank you!
Still a $$ hold because I booked online, but no hassle about not wanting to upgrade upon arrival. Again thank you! It hC been a very long day already. Easy check in and straight up to the room.

It's a great $40 room, single queen bed. No it's not fancy or updated.
No the vending machines are not stocked. This time the ice wasn't working either.

But it's easy access to the highway, convenient for area food etc. One night stay , quiet hotel.
The bed is fine, the pillows thin. This is not a resort or vacation hotel.
This was the first shower I've taken there, decent water flow, clean but no wash cloths.
This is an easy access, quiet, one night on the road hotel.

Check in guy, was pushing for an upsell, he wasn't happy that I'd booked on line and complained about it through the whole check in experience.

The room was adequate. Easy access to the highway. This is a one night stay location, not a destination hotel.
But $39 a room it served it's 1 night on the way purpose.
Vending machines were empty, but plenty of restraunts and a grocery store were very close.

I didnt like fact that outside of there hotel they have a sign that clearly states new pool an spa. They dont have either. The manager or whatever hes called wanted me to pay 20 more bucks cash for the a room on the 1st floor and i told him no thanks. Then wanted a credit card only with atleast 300$ on it an i only had a green dot card which i understand some dont allow it like the best western across the street from knights inn the site wont allow you to book a room there with the reloadedable card because they didnt take them. So why wouldn't the manager take it at the knights inn upon check in? Ive stayed at this hotel before an paid cash always tries to scam you. I didnt want to book this one but the price was right at the time. we didnt even try after he refused us for not having a credit card we told him keep the money as a donation but the point is i wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone and if you do go upon arrival youll understand. It was just not good honestly ... When we entered for check in without even asking the name the guy said the room you got is non smoking oh you smoke and only one queen bed.. I proceeded to pull up my hotels.com app and show him and he says oh ok and said but you want smoking I said no I do not smoke inside. Several cats right outside main entrance, several signs in breakfast buffet area stating \"please do not leave cat food cans on tables.\" The room was a smoking room, but told not to smoke but one cigarette every 45 minutes, which i don't. But the room was so filled with smoke smell i could not sleep or eat in the room.
I was talked into a room upgrade. Which i was charged for in addition, the entire amount, to the amount I paid for Hotels.com reservation. I was told this would be taken care of. Its four days later and I am still trying to get the charge removed.
Please, this \"hotel\" should not be listed as a choice on Hotels.com. It is one of the most disgusting hotels i've ever stayed at...being the only choice out of several hotels in the area, it makes Hotels.com look really bad!

Clean rooms, great staff, delicious breakfast of fresh waffles, coffee, orange juice, milk, cereal, toast, jam, butter. Love that they are pet friendly, and the rescue cats on site brought our granddaughter SO MUCH joy! Fridge and microwave were a nice bonus. Big TV, clear cable, and Magnificent hot water with deep bathtubs! Only downside was pool was closed. Would definitely stay here again!

Initially arrived too early to check in and the person at the desk was not very friendly, but there was no apparent check-in time on the website.

A little apprehensive, the group arrived later in the day and this person was very kind and accommodating, offering a room upgrade at the same cost and doing all they could to ensure a positive experience.

It's a no-frills establishment so don't go in expecting the lap of luxury, but the room was cleaned and just fine, and this was exactly what was needed for the week-long stay.

As animal lovers, we really appreciated that they have a place built outside for cats to eat, drink, and stay warm. Thank you for the experience.

Horrible experience, manager of knights inn was a foreigner, rude, tried to charge me 3 x my room rate on my charge card for incidentals, i said nooo way!!! Then he tried to negotiate with me! Public bathroom in lobby was disgusting, filthy!

Beware if you stay here. We prepaid for our reservation. When we got there, we were told we had to either pay an extra $20 for the room, or pay $150 deposit in case of damages. We were told we would get the $150 back within a week. We chose that option, instead of paying an extra $20 for the room. As of today, 30 days later, we have not gotten the $150 back. I had to put a claim in on our charge card to get the $150 back!

Needed a computer degree to watch tv, we heard every word of the woman in the next room’s phone conversation ALL NIGHT, and got wake up calls both mornings at 5:30 that were a left over request from a previous guest. When we arrived at the Inn, they said they did not have our reservation. I showed my confirmation email and they did give us a room. During check-in, the person at the front desk surprisingly made inappropriate remarks about two women sleeping in the same bed.
The website indicated they had a pool and a lounge but both were permanently closed.
They telephone in the room did not work.
They had to call two different people to the room to get the television to work properly.

DON'T STAY HERE!!! The place is very dirty and a lot of shady people hanging around. They dumped 25lb of cat food on the ground by the side door to feed animals. The room was very dirty and the breakfast was terrible. Only waffles and the mix was spoiled.

Worst hotel in OHIO! Terrible experience =(

-arrived at the Knights Inn at 11:45am. We checked in,and after 19 hours of traveling,we went straight to bed.
-This was when I acquired about the pool,bar lounge,and gaming room that's advertised with the hotel. I was told none of these were available. The pool had been on renovation for the last 8 years and the owner got busted selling drugs so they couldn't sell alcohol.after this we went out to dinner and eventually went back to our room and stayed the night in room #123. Before I went to bed,hotels.com sent me an email asking about my hotel and how my accommodations were. I was honest with hotels.com that I was a little upset that the hotel had none of the amenities listed and the hotel did not look anything like the pictures from the website. I was also upset that directly outside our bedroom was a large bag of cat food that was cut completely open to feed the racoon's.
-apparently hotels.com contacted the Knights Inn directly to ask for compensation or refund. When we came down to leave for lunch Arvind Patel,the assistant manager, saw us and got very upset saying \"why the hell are you requesting a refund that's f****** Bull**** we dont handle refund you talk to hotels.com\" cursing a lot and eventually degrading us.
upon returning around 8pm we were completely chastised and yelled at by Arvind who was very frustrated,and angrily throwing things around.He refused to give me copies of the paper work I signed and continued to curse. We left immediately.

Hotel is extremely outdated. $150 for a jacuzzi room was way over priced. When I turned the bed down it was full of bugs and the sheets were dirty. Crusty pillow case. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Ended up going down the road got a way nicer room for a cheaper price still had the jacuzzi tub.

Ended up going across the road as this was the most filthy dirty room I have ever seen and could not get out of fast enough!! Health Department surely needs to make a visit and Expedia should NEVER recommend or even have this trash pit as a room available in St Clairsville, Ohio!!!

Best part about the stay was breakfast...pumpkin waffles were excellent. Beds were comfortable, but rooms were outdated. When we turned on the heat in our room, it smelled hot and then the fire alarm went off. We had a handicap accessible shower, but when it was used the bathroom flooded and water started to run under the bathroom door. View from our room was beautiful, except for all the trash and construction materials at the back of the hotel .

The outside of the building was nice. The inside was dirty everything was damaged, broken, big dead bugs on stairs, musty smells. We got checked in by the security guard and he did it over the phone with someone talking to him. We were very disappointed and grossed out. Didn't even sleep under the covers. Would love to have my money back

First impression from outside was mixed. Building looked new but many dead scrubs. Front entrance was dingy. Ice maker was broken, no extra toilet paper in room and no decaf coffee at continental breakfast. Bed was extremely comfortable. Channel selection great and WiFi worked flawlessly.
