Would be nice to have on site rentable transportation like a golf cart or something. Not really walkable for my 4 & 6 year old. That being said, plenty to do and keep them busy. Relatively clean. Did note a few ants in the room. Arcade and pool could have been cleaner, but ultimately my kids loved the trip and the stay.

I was told that all the amenities were up and functional before checking in, but when I arrived to Ogleby resorts, I was told the hot tub was working, and then when I got to the hot tub, it was not working and not functional cobwebs in the ceiling of the room no shampoo in the bathroom and the body wash was ripped off of the wall. Call the front desk to let them know about the hot tub, not working. It was told the maintenance crew was on their way and the maintenance crew did not show up.

The first room was not up to par, it was dirty and the bathroom was not clean. The front desk moved us to a different room that was better. They were very welcoming for pets. We at the on site restaurant and the food was very good.

We came to enjoy the pool during spring break with our two small kids and found so much more to explore! We live a little over an hour away in the downtown Pittsburgh area. Great food (we are at Trace and Skyline), friendly staff, great breakfast sandwich + good coffee at the coffee shop! We loved the zoo so much that we visited twice - we paid for the extra animal experience at the zoo the first day we went, hours were a little short so this took up most of our visit, but was worth EVERY penny for the kids!! We loved how extended the indoor pool hours were, esp cause that was the #1 request from the kids! Lots of beautiful outdoor space too!

We can’t wait to come back in full summer to enjoy the outdoor pool and for the Christmas lights!

My boyfriend and I stayed 2nights here this past week. This place exceeded our expectations and more. The resort itself was fantastic! The outside blew us away. All the beautiful greenery and lighting. The staff was superb! We met Jerry who checked us in and he was a hoot!! We love him, we also got to say goodbye to him as we were checking out. Any staff we came in contact with was ao friendly and always willing to help. We had lunch at Skyline kitchen and Bar located on the resort, this place is beautiful our food was fantastic! Our waitress Debbie was so sweet and she made our dining experience incredible thank you. Our room was clean ,bed was very comfortable!! It was everything we needed for our getaway! We will definitely be returning!!

Room was outdated and tile was dirty on the floor in the restroom. Paneling on closet did not match like it had been previosly replaced but in poor condition with a different wood. Navivating to the room was bad, everything is on different levels. You must do an inspecion and premapping before you visit, memorize carpet patterns to navigate...levels are labeled but do not help much as main rooms can can turn you around if you are not familiar.

The good Zoo is two minutes away and the encounters are wonderful. The hotel site is in the middle of beauty. Would definitely return. Visit was early March and trying to visit the glass gallery was hard bec of their liminted hours and then it was closed for inventory.

We were very pleased with our clean nicely equipped room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The weather was very cold so we couldn't do much outside, but it is an unusually cold, snowy February. Food at Skyline Kitchen and Bar was good and there's a nice view from the windows. Trace Chophouse was a disappointment...quite expensive, and the food was not worth the price.

The room was very clean. Julio( chef at breakfast) did a fantastic job handling 3 omelet pans and the waffle maker as well as restocking items needed for omelets. I was totally amazed at his efficiency. Our waiters Carlos (breakfast) and Jacob (dinner) were very observant of our needs and extremely polite. Would have been nice to have a hair dryer in the room

Oglebay Resort is a lovely facility but their staffing and room cleaning procedures need major attention. Our room was not cleaned and available until 5:40 PM! This is not acceptable. Tracey, the front desk staff member was wonderful in working to solve the problem which was not of her making. She provided a free buffet breakfast coupon for the two of us, 2 gift packs with car passes for the Light Festival, an upgraded room and Christmas ornaments as well as a a complimentary night's stay in the future. I truly hope this problem will be permanently resolved for my next stay.

2.5 stars. Check in was a long wait and painful. Understaffed at the front desk and throughout the amenities. Poor signage throughout our visit. Rooms were great. Skyline was awesome.

Trace chophouse was very disappointing. Cold food and missed the detail i expected from a high end steakhouse. Don’t wast your time. Service was mid. Dinning area was dirty.

The Christmas experience was ok. The Santa village was lame except the hot chocolate. Pictures with Santa was worse time in traffic. Put a Santa in lodge. There is nothing exclusive except the candy cordial.

The classes were the worse. Kids horsing around in the pool during pool Pilates is lame. And you moved the tai chi off the property . Speaking of property, Cafe 1925 and Starbucks is off the property. Take it off the site! That’s a scam!

Soritas coffee was terrible! They ran out of food! And understaffed!

Festival of Lights , zoo , and spa were great.

Really overrated. Staff was not super friendly. Felt touristy.

Breakfast buffet was wonderful and included made to order eggs, which were fantastic. My wife and I really enjoyed the steakhouse called Trace. In fact, we ate there twice. A little bit pricey, but worth it. As for our room, it was fantastic. We even had our very own fireplace, which was most romantic. This is an awesome resort for a little getaway.

We had a great time at the winter festival of lights. The skyline kitchen was very accommodating as my wife is gluten free.

Signage and directions to enter the Lodge area are poor, hard to see especially at night. The signs by the roads are not lite up enough at night. The Festival of Lights was so confusing because of poor signage and unable to see where you were driving because of poor lighting on the signs. The $30/car fee for the Lights is too expensive. The cost includes a season pass that we didn’t want because we live out of town. The fee could not be adjusted!

Check in was easy and staff very friendly. I would suggest maybe someone to be available to help guests get to the rooms. I was in lounge and many people walked in, turned around, came back, etc. Only being there a couple hours I ended up helping many people get to where they needed to be. Ashley and Allison from Skyline were incredibly nice and a joy to be around. One suggestion is to have Miller Light bottles available. Another suggestion would be to have more TVs available especially during the NFL season. While in Skyline we also received a complimentary desert delicacy dish from the staff which was very nice. Trolley driver was very informative and made our trip enjoyable. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

The facility is beautiful. And they have a wonderful indoor Pool and two wonderful restaurants. The Walking, trails are Fantastic and You Feel Like You Are Walking Inside a postcard , the golf course is of prime quality. There are other activities like the zoo which has amazing exotic, almost extinct animals that I have not seen in any other zoo.
They have very nice pickle ball and tennis courts.
The rooms are very spacious and clean, and the construction of the building is mostly oak.

Beautiful property and facility. Didn’t get to stay long enough to enjoy it. Had major issues with original room ad we were moved to a smaller less desirable location and room. This one had no sitting area or fridge and the shower had empty dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and bath gel. Management did not respond to my communication. Thought we might get a discount of some sort for all the issues and problems-NOPE!! Unresponsive!!

The resort was beautiful, we especially loved the treatment we received from most of the staff especially the cleaning staff we had as well as the restaurant staff they were fantastic. The complaint I have is we had no ac in our room both nights of our stay- we had to extend our stay one more night and asked to have the ac fixed but nothing was ever done the room was extremely hot and the only time someone seemed interested was when we checked out the nice lady at checkout apologized and said she would have it looked at. We were told by front desk both times we asked they would send maintenance but no one ever fixed it and it was unbearable to try and sleep.

It was really hard u need a gps to get to your room it’s so big a the workers wasnt to helpful with helping us find it, another guy staying there had to help us. There was also a lot of the things to do there that were closed and this was mid summer when they shoulda been open.
Someone charged $100 breakfast on our room so when they went to their restaurant there they don’t make you give a name or show ID just the room number, that definitely needs to be changed. Wonder how many people that happens to an they don’t catch it like we did. When we called they did say they would refund it so waiting on that. It’s just so big an everything is spread out all over, you either have to drive or rent a golf cart or take their trolly (we drove) everything is extremely expensive so make sure you take enough money before going,
The morning we were leaving there was a housekeeped guy that was faded out (high as heck) all leaned up on his cleaning cart

I thought all of the rooms were updated I did think they all had at least a mini fridge. The bathroom sink did not drain properly, the plug in the tub had to be removed manually so when taking a shower the water is not fill up to my ankles and knees... I did not complain or report this I was only there for one night but if it would have been more than one night I would have asked for a room change. Staff was very nice friendly property was great breakfast was awesome.

Oglebay Park has always been one of my favorite places. Wilson Lodge has updated some of their rooms. Although we stayed in the updated section of the lodge, the room was still old looking in the bathroom and small in the bedroom. Just need to rearrange/redesign the rooms.
