Almost perfect - 1) the location was great (I could stroll into old town if I wanted, supermarkets around the hotel were easily accessible, my room had fantastic views), a well-maintained basement parking is a god-sent in winter, the hotel has a good restaurant if you felt lazy heading out for meals. Just 2 things to improve on - 1) Upon check-in, when I paid for parking and tourist tax, the sum didn’t add up. But the difference was minimal (about SGD5) and I was tired, after a long day so didn’t bothered to follow-up. It would be good to provide the breakdown or receipt; 2) Toilet doors need better insulation, it gets loud for the person in the room (trying to sleep) when someone is showering.

The room was clean, no issues, the WiFi was pretty fast and the amenities were nice. The beds were comfortable, and the view was pretty decent. The area was quiet, so it was quite easy to relax. It was decently close to other important locations, like a grocery and the main train station, which was convenient.

I’ve stayed at a lot of Mariotts and this is exactly what I have come to expect from them. We received great service, our room was excellent, the staff was exceptional, the in house restaurant was fantastic, and our server Maria took phenomenal care of us. The parking was very easy to navigate, and the staff gave us very clear directions to get what we needed. I’d highly recommend staying here.

This is our eighth stay at this property and this review is really the same for all 8 stays. The property is new, excellent condition, close to the major highway, very friendly staff, safe and clean. We have a couple of issues though, firstly the “hot” breakfast buffet items are always cold. It doesn’t matter what time you come for breakfast, the hot items are cold. This could be greatly improved. In the meantime order some bespoke scrambled eggs so at least that will be warm.

The second issue we have is with the uncomfortable mattresses and the uncomfortable pillows. We find the pillows here horrible. They seem soft at first but after a little while they become very hard and uncomfortable. I know that mattresses and pillows vary and everyone has their own opinion, but we stay at numerous hotels a year and this one has by far the most uncomfortable pillows.
Lastly, the “air conditioning” whether it’s too hot or too cold doesn’t seem to work. It is unbearably hot in the winter and we found that the AC shuts off at midnight in the summer. This is typical all over Europe but surely a brand new hotel would be able to give their guests the ability to accurately adjust the in-room temperature to whatever they desire efficiently and effectively?
Anyways, the hotel overall is great, you should definitely stay here and with a few tweaks it would actually be excellent in our honest opinion.

Doesn't live up to the Marriott name

Reservations held with a single card but hotel was notified individual people would use their own cards to pay for their rooms. Hotel agreed that was possible. All rooms for the group were charged to that single card not individual credit cards. Front desk acknowledged the mistake. One desk clerk was happy to help. One seemed like it troubled her to rectify the issue. She must've been the one to make the mistake. Parking is minimal underground. Rooms are average, rugs must not be vacuumed often, they are also stained. Spider found in my bathroom, 7 floors up. Restaurant has very slow service, even when they are not busy. Some nights are buffet style, however I saw the same items at lunch set out at dinner. Not sure how the restaurant serves lunch for a conference and then charges for the same food served 6 hours later for buffet. Double charging to serve leftovers. Sasha at the front desk was amazing. Always had a smile and was willing to help. She deserves a promotion

However, walking to city centre at night is not very pleasant, it's 15 mins along large motorways with construction works and closures and some parts are very dark. I didn't mind the walk during the day.

The staff at the hotel helped me with so much. I was exhausted from my escape from Ukraine: (Tired, dirty clothes, confused, lack of toiletries, etc). Teh staff helped me take each step one pace at a time. I was able to relax, rest, eat, find stores, clean my belongings, get local orientation with ease. I really enjoy this property. I will definitely stay again. Even the food staff in the breakfast and restaurant bar were patient with me as I stumbled to find my way through the recovery process. A Solid 4 Star Hotel

This is a very nice hotel within 15 - 20 minute walking distance from downtown. The style is modern, and it looks like it was probably built in the past 10 years or so. It is 16 stories high with a large restaurant and bar at ground level. The room was a good size with full height windows and a very comfortable bed.

The location is in a light industrial area just across the river to the south of town. There is a nice running/walking/biking trail that runs down the river for 5 or 6 miles. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

A tip: When I stayed, the weekend rate was much cheaper than the weekday rate.

Really great experience overall, the staff was beyond nice and the room (we had on the 12th floor) was spacious and clean, the amenities are solid with a good wifi connection (only free instant coffee, a little Nespresso machine would be cool) and the view wow, just amazing. We were lucky that a firework was on that night and the show was just amazing from that floor. The parking was included in our rate and it's a covered underground parking so it's quite safe, the hotel is not exactly near the center but by tram it's easy to get there, also quite easy to park near the center (be careful the old center is forbidden by car) so it was really nice. Would absolutely come back in the same hotel.

The lobby of the hotel makes you feel like you are stepping into an art gallery! The rooms are modern and comfortable. My husband and I both thought the bed and pillows were comfortable.

It was a bit of a walk to the center of the city (20-30 minutes). You could use the public transportation or drive, but we like to walk.

Breakfast was excellent! There was a wide variety of choices; even picky eaters will find something to keep them from starving!

First of all I would like to say thank you to all hotel staff, they were very friendly and helpful especially Ekaterina and Zuzana from from desk and lady from restaurant (unfortunately I don’t remember her name). Check in was smooth, Ekaterina gave us great room on 8th floor with gorgeous view. Room big enough, clean and cozy. Breakfast was tasty and you’ll have plenty choices of food. We also ate at the restaurant (dinner), it was delicious. We came with small child but everyone as I sad was helpful and nothing was a problem for them. I’ll recommend this hotel not only for business trips but also for families with children.

Das Frühstück ist ok, der Frühstücksraum leider etwas groß bzw. man fühlt sich wie in einer Kantine.
Parken ist gegen Aufpreis in der Garage möglich. Alternativ kann man sich auch auf die Suche nach einem Parkplatz in der direkten Umgebung vom Hotel machen.

Toppklass på allting. Hotellet är verkligen modernt, fint och rent. Det finns en bra restaurang/bar med bra mat och livemusik. Bra frukost på morgonen.

If you want to book a room, you should take into consideration the extra or supplement that is to be charged at the end of the stay. It isn't located in the most touristic area but it's just about a 10 min walk to the train station or bus station. They are very attentive and polite. The most relevant thing to take into consideration when in Brno for touristic reasons is that everything is closed during the weekend, that includes the little cafeterias and restaurants around the hotel, so it is recommendable to pay in advance for the breakfast or see to have a reservation somewhere.
