Great stay

Pretty good all in all. As you would expect situated across from a huge conference centre, this hotel is busy and fast moving. Occasionally noisy but most guests are on business so respectful. Breakfasts were good, very diverse. Nice coffee bar in the breakfast gall at no extra cost. Nice bar. The only thing I would suggest would be to replace a couple of machines in the gym and to include some comfort/simple food items on the menu. The menu was fancy but sometimes at a hotel you're tired and you just fancy something simple like a salad and bread or a bowl of french fries or a cheeseboard or something. They like their meat in Czech Republic so there were two meat free items on the menu, one included chorizo so I'm not sure they fully comprehend what it means to be meatless (!)

I was given a twin room when I asked for a double, but after a call down to the reception a cleaner came up and converted the beds, which I’ve not seen before but it was fine. The rooms are quite big, so much so it feels quite bare. There’s a table and chair but would have liked a desk. There was an armchair which was half broken but I didn’t mind. Bathrooms are nice. Tv was good, just connected my YouTube up and I was grand. The window opened up fully which made me feel funny as I was on the 6th floor. The hallways had this perfume sprayed in which smelt very strange but none went in the room. The restaurant was excellent, the food was great, be aware it’s also very expensive, especially compared to the rest of the city. Staff were generally excellent too. The gym was more than acceptable. Breakfast was pretty good as well.

Avoid for the time being

Orea Hotel Voronez has to be the worst travel experience I’ve endured. Booked the room on Hotels.com and showed 4 available rooms. The person checking me in, Tomas, was angry I’d used Hotels.com as they were booked. I was advised I’d have a room with no air conditioning. Ok. Can live with that. But

1st floor room overlooked the main entry. So opening the window had a wonderful aroma of cigarette and diesel exhaust from the tour buses. The room was sparse. Basic. No kettle. No coffee maker. Nothing. Fortunately it did have towels.

All night you could hear water flushing from the above rooms. It was quite calming to hear the whoosh of water being launched.

Then the late evening tour bus arrival. So special. The sound of people stomping in the room above.

It was also a handicap room, which I didn’t need.

Breakfast was mediocre. Eggs over cooked. The two areas are unprepared to handle the flow of people from the tours. Very little for breakfast as compared to their other resort property I’ve stayed at.

Couple all this with the hostility and anger displayed by Tomas during checking in, I’d advise staying elsewhere. This stay was truly disappointing.

Follow up-Did speak with the manager, very professional and apologized for what occurred. Corporate responded with apologies as well.

Hotel staff were very helpful. I made late reservation so there was a bit of confusion but Ivan was most helpful and got everything sorted out. I was there over the New Years holiday so there were many groups in the hotel. Dining in the dining room was not provided for New Years eve. This could have been explained prior to finding out at the time. Staff was helpful, but system seem a bit lax. Good location, and is walkable to downtown and tourist destinations. Taxis are reasonable and fair--unlike some other cities. Brno is a hidden treasure and should be explored. I would stay here again, but would ask questions at check in.

The Hotel surprised me after I went in. In other words, dont judge it by its facade! Rooms are large (mine was large) and clean, and everything was there. If and when in Brno again, I'll try to get this Hotel again. It is also located near the local brewery, which is a good place to enjoy local beer. Really nice!

Air condition

The air condition is not working well. Even with a big fan they provide us was 28 Celsius degrees from 12 am when I checked in to 8am when i checket out.

It was very very hot.
Cant sleep the whole night.

I wish i can get back my money!

It’s a shame the hotel invested a lot in a nice and modern lobby but left it’s rooms like something out of the 80’s. There is little to no sound dampening so if you’re trying to sleep and some is walking down the hall, you hear everything. The decor is beyond old. The restaurant is awful, was served raw meat, then the second piece had some plastic in it. Breakfast is ok. Overall a disappointing experience.

Hotel lacks few amenities.

Surprisingly the hotel doesn’t provide a hot water kettle or there is no safe box in the room which are a must for international standard hotels. The staff say always they are very busy. It’s their duty to serve the hotel guests.

Staff forgot to clean my room. Lobby suggested to change my room, but I agreed to wait for the next day. All three days resturant in the hotel was closed and I was needed to search were to eat. Breakfasts were fine! In the all hotel nobody couldn`t find an iron desk! Only at the second day they find an iron, but without a desk and I ironed my clothes at the curbstone under the TV! All other was fine. But I think that this hotel couldn`t be the 4-stars hotel. 3-stars maximum!

A chilly night

On arrival we were greeted by very confused staff at the checkout. Check in took around 15 minutes. This does not seem like very long but we arrived around 12am with no que.

Despite this the hotel felt very clean and is decorated quite grand compared to other hotels in the area. The rooms are also very clean and spacious but do feel very outdated with the decoration. We were also unable to control the air condition from our room which meant a really chilly stay.

No AC/bare-bones rooms!

ROOM: The hottest day in of the year I happen to be checked-in to a hotel where my room had no AC !! The AC was broken... there was never any installed to begin with. Needless to say I didn't sleep very well after a day that reached 38C! Thankfully the hotel bar had AC. LOCATION: industrial looking area. FOOD: The food was the only saving grace at this hotel. Good nice and nice friendly staff. I would recommend staying downtown at the Grand Hotel.

Make sure, if it is summer, to request a room on the 9th or 10th floors - the only ones with air conditioning! A bit dated, but overall a good value for the money. I was originally on the fourth floor, and when I asked about air, was given a room on the 9th that had air. Never got down to the 10 degrees I set it at, but it was better than nothing. Easy to find with the GPS, and food was good in restaurant.

A very good stay

A very pleasant stay in the Voroněž hotel, good value accommodation, I would probably rate it as 3 1/2 star. Not 4 star hotel. But that only due to the interior design, not the service.
The room was clean, spacious, large wardrobes, good sitting area by the table
and an option to sit outside on a balcony as well, with a great view of the city.
The free WIFI is a great bonus and an underestimated benefit
when staying in hotels abroad.
Big disappointment to me was the lack of tea and coffee making facilities and something
that I would expect in a 4* hotel.
Also, if you require your own control of the AC units, book the superior room! Not the standard! in the standard, which we stayed in, the AC is controlled by the floor supervisor.
The room was at a comfortable room temperature but in the hot summer days, you
may want to opt for your own control.
It is only about 5 minutes walk from a tram service near the Brno exhibition centre or 10 minutes walk from another major tram junction, which takes only two stops to get you to the centre, approx 6 minutes journey.
I preferred this hotel to the hotels in the centre as this area was very quiet and peaceful.
The reception staff was nice and very helpful,
The breakfast included great selection of food, compared with many hotels I stayed in abroad and in Czech rep, this was bigger selection than usual. We skipped lunch as we
had plenty to eat at the hotel buffet breakfast.

Don't worry about the name

Even though this must be one of the hotels from the communist era (you don't find very many new hotels named after cities from the former Soviet Union), and therefore you would expect a run down facility with ignorant staff. Fortunately, a complete opposite was the case. The hotel is well maintained, staffed with helpful and friendly people. However, my bathroom did not have an upper shower head holder, so you end up showering with the shower head in your hand. Perhaps this is the way Breznev used to shower.

A Delightful Surprise

By the time I got to this hotel I thought I had a good idea of what the rooms and facilities would be like as everything in Europe seems to be smaller and more expensive... I could not have been more wrong. The hotel room rivaled one in America with a full balcony, king size bed, private bath, wireless internet, room service and spa available as well. The room service was absolutely fantastic and incredibly reasonable and all the staff spoke English. I would not even consider another hotel if I ever make it back to Brno. This was a truly amazing find.

Ok bigger hotel. Nothing special but nothing too bad. Like most hotels in Brno, it does not have AC which is worthy of note if traveling in the summer. A few blocks from a food store. Restaurant is ok. Ladies of the evening waiting in the lobby. Personally I preferred other places in Brno more.

Great hotel - shame about the air conditioning

Orea Hotel Voronez I is a large spacious hotel with good service and serves a good breakfast. WIFI was free and quick. Please note that the hotel is on the outskirts of the city...a 10 min tram or taxi ride away.

The rooms were great, but the air-conditioning was not existent and this made for very difficult sleeping conditions given that it was 32C. Additionally, there was no tea, coffee or iron board in the room.

For the price, this hotel was great value - but I would recommend elsewhere if it's a hot day.

close to the exhibition centre the Voronez is a clean and tidy hotel. the bathroom was a little on the small side in comparison to others in the Brno area, but clean. due to plane delays we did not arrive till 7am in the morning but our room was still available despite the hotel being almost fully booked. breakfast is plentiful (buffet style) and there are at least 3 restaurants for evening meal - food of good quality. staff appeared friendly too

The hotel and room were decent but some of the basic amenities were hard to get. We asked for regular mineral water and was handed a very expensive bottle of WATER after being told that it was unavailable in the kitchen and they had to especially acquire it. The room service sucked with almost nothing to order (a total of 10 items on the menu)..I asked for an iron and got three calls becoz the reception people got confused why i wouldve wanted one, then was told to come get it myself. The restaurants and room service ended service by 9. All in all, my 7 days in this hotel were only becoz i had already paid for my trip and could not get out of it!!

Super fedt hotel, og selvom at jeg var der i forbindelse med Euro dog show, så var hotellet super fint, og der var outstanding service til os med hunde (område med morgenmad, hvor man kan bringe hund med), flotte værelser. Jeg havde et uheld med en selvbruner flaske, som der var gået hul på, så det gik ud over sengetøjet. Jeg gik til receptionen og oplyste om uheldet, og ville betale for det i receptionen. De startede med at reservere et beløb på mit kort i tilfælde af, at sengetøjet var ødelagt - og så ringede de kort efter og oplyste, at det bestemt ikke var noget problem, det ville forsvinde i vask. Super god service, at de to en seriøs vurdering af, om det bare var noget der ville forsvinde i vask.

Alles Top und neu. Frühstückbuffet gigantisch, sauber und mit viel Auswahl. Kaffee gibt es am Vollautomaten oder Serviert von der Barista-Maschine.

Modernes und praktisches Hotel

Die Messehotels ausserhalb der Messezeit sind oft günstig verglichen damit was man bekommt und dieses Hotel war keine Ausnahme. Super Frühstück, modernes Zimmer, Fitnessraum. Mit dem Auto ist das Hotel praktisch zu erreichen. Die schöne Altstadt von Brünn war auch nicht allzu weit weg - 20-30 Min Spaziergang
