The hotel Royal Ricc is in a very convenient location only a block from the main Square in the City Hall. There are several restaurants and bar bars nearby. There is one with very good beer next to our window, however. It hasn’t bothered us, but it might bother someone who is a light sleeper. They offered to move us, but we chose to stay where we were because the room was really awesome!

Quirky and charismatic hotel that was perfectly placed for our stay in Brno. Baroque style room added to the ambience we were after for our festive visit to the markets. Friendly staff that remained mostly inconspicuous but always available to assist. Breakfast was typical european but plentiful. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Hotel Royal Ricc has friendly staff and a nice location for checking out the Christmas markets. All was well apart from a total lack of TV reception, a noisy fridge and constantly varying temperature of the shower. A comfortable bed and a good breakfast made up for that.

The hotel was quaint, cute and good value for money; with the character of the building retained. The staff were friendly and were happy to accommodate an early check in! Breakfast was nice - with a good range of options - overall good value for money!

P.s the bar/pub opposite is a good place to check out some traditional Czech food! Beware of the large portions though!

The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of almost everything. The staff was friendly and accommodating. However, the main drawback was the bed, which was extremely uncomfortable. I could feel the coils pressing into my back, which was quite disappointing.

Hotel Royal Ricc is visually stunning with artwork, stenciled ceilings, rich furnishings, stained glass windows and more! Very convenient location near tram lines and with many restaurants in short walking distance. Our spacious room was spotlessly clean and beautiful. The bed was super comfortable with two pillows each. Bathroom modern with a great hot shower. Breakfast buffet has good coffee and selections for anyone. Front desk staff were wonderful.

Only problem for us was that our room, although on the 4th floor, was very noisy due to a pub/ bar area below, and the window didn't close properly, although that wouldn't have kept the noise out. Other than that, a good 2 night stay in a very pleasant town.

The staff were incredibly friendly & helpful. They were able to accommodate my health needs by ensuring I had a room accessible with the lift (elevator), once they learned I have spinal issues. Beautiful room with a wonderful feeling of being immersed back in time with the decor & atmosphere. The area was perfect walking distance to a number of historical places & was not loud at all at night, even on a Saturday night. I would definitely stay there again & highly recommend them.

A beautiful, old-style hotel property with lots of character in a great location. The room was spacious and clean. It didn't have in-room amenities (tea, coffee, refrigerator, etc.) but it did have water. It also lacked available and accessible plugs for charging electronics. I had to jury-rig up something in the bathroom to charge my phone. I did not have breakfast so I cannot speak about that. Overall, a solid choice for those looking for style over modern conveniences.

I absolutely cannot recommend the Royal Ricc. It is dimly lit, understaffed and poorly maintained.

The power failed on our third day there and was repaired some four hours later. On the fourth day, it failed again but this time could not be repaired resulting in our being moved to a different hotel.

We only discovered this have made inquiries at the front desk. No attempt was made on their part to inform us of this. We then had to pack our bags by mobile phone light, and whilst doing a cursory check under the bed for any left items, discovered what looked like months of dust.

Avoid at all costs.

Hotel was in an excellent central location. Its a very chic hotel, with traditional decor. Room was clean and tidy. No real choice on tv channels, only bbc world in english. The shower was not really very powerful. The room safe did not work and we were offered another room. The room was always dark, with no real view at all out of the window. We didnt have breakfast in the hotel as there are loads of cafes and bars in walking distance, but it looked like a nice spread. We asked for a kettle and one was provided. But overall excellent service and great value. Would definitely stay here again.

The interior of the hotel is very nicely decorated and the receptionist was very helpful. The pub across the street serves craft beer and has a decent lunch menu. At night the noise from surrounding pubs may be bothersome to some. Would return.

Pleasant aftercovid expirience

Life is getting back to normal and tourism(internal at least) is going back to normal. I've decided to go to Brno to a beer fest, and to stay at tthjis hotel The location is great, stuff is very pleasant, brekfast ins not buffet but very full. In the room there is everything you need (exept bathroab). Also there was no wate in the coffe machine so I spoiled one capsule. Would recommend. Hopefull the price won't gro much after everything would be back

the hotel is one of the most peculiar in the area, the windows re made of church glass and the floor is made of brick. The decoration of the rooms bring you back to 1800 but the bed is so comfy you are definitely in 2100!
Breakfast has a wide selection and something for everyone, plus hot crepes!!

An absolutely delightful hotel with Old World Charm!! We loved the stained glass windows in our room and the beautiful Moravian painted ceilings. During our European vacation in Austria and the Czech Republic, we stayed at three hotels and found that the Hotel Royal Ricc had the very best breakfast offering of all three hotels. The food selections varied daily and included both traditional breakfast foods as well as nice healthy choices. The front desk staff was helpful and fluent in English. We had a superb stay in this hotel so close to the historic city center. A big THANK YOU to the Hotel Royal Ricc for a great stay!!

It was a little weird, you have to walk through their restaurant area to get to the rooms and the elevator and halls were really narrow, but it was really cute. The room was beautifully decorated, and you really can't beat the location if you want to walk around the old town. old fashioned, but that was part of the charm.

I enjoyed staying in this classic hotel. The room was very comfortable and modern. I suppose it all depends on what you are looking for, as a friend (we travelled together on business) preferred to stay in a more modern hotel down the street but I preferred the quaint Royal Ricc. Now that I've seen both I would return to the Royal Ricc! What I liked included the charm of an old hotel. The key is huge so you leave it at the very friendly front desk when you are out. The breakfast was great, with a buffet of everything from breads and jams, croissants, eggs, cheese, meats, juices, etc. I do love a European breakfast. About the only criticism I can give is you have to step up a ways into the tub, and if you shower and have age working against you then you could slip performing this maneuver. .

Really lovely, old-fashioned hotel with so friendly staff. Unfortunately, because of its central location and old-fashioned windows, it was incredibly noisy late in the evenings/ early mornings. The hotel itself would be 4.5, but lack of sleep brings this to a 3 only (based on my personal experience).

Wonderful Middle Age \"Castle\" style hotel

Amazing location right on the Cabbage Market. We drove the car in the pedestrian zone to the hotel and the staff at the hotel took it to a parking garage for us then delivered it when we needed it. The entire hotel is unique, decorated in Middle Ages fashion. Food and staff were supeb. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Charm, comfort, great price -- in the heart of Brn

This was a repeat Ricc stay for us and it lived up to our memories and our expectations. For us, the location is excellent: near both Brno's historic& commercial center and our resident family. The centuries-old building oozes charm; our superior double room was spacious & comfortable; the air conditioning worked well during a hot spell (not true of some other places we've stayed in Brno); the breakfast selections were excellent; and the outdoor terrace is a nice quiet spot to entertain friends or family. The hotel is just steps away from several good 'traditional Czech' restaurants and an indoor shopping mall with drug store, post office, supermarket, etc. The desk clerk/concierge, unprompted, arranged an ample take-away breakfast for us when we had to catch an early bus on departure day. All this at a price less than half of what we paid for a comparable room & breakfast in Vienna and about one-third of what we paid in Zurich..

OK, and in great location

No air conditioning so noisy room was inevitable with the window open in a city atmosphere. But a small window made it almost impossible to air the room out in a cool evening, so the combination of no ventilation and a window that only cracks a bit results on a hot room in even moderate temperatures. Some find decor quaint but frankly it is a bit oppressive. Unusual room layout, TV on same side as bed and only 2 uncomfortable dining room style chairs for seating chairs. The hotel is unique but that is a nice way of saying it needs a bit of remodeling. Uncomfortable formal lobby with too much furniture packed in it. Hard to sit in that furniture so what's the point of having so much of it?

A really lovely old hotel with real charm. Comfortable quiet room, welcoming and helpful staff. Acceptable breakfast offerings, and really nice bacon (noteworthy)
My only gripe was that the bathroom door would not close due to the door being misaligned. Clearly this was a long term problem and nobody had addressed it. So all of the 'noises' made in the bathroom were heard by the partner.

This is a very nice hotel with great charm, nice and helpful staff, and good breakfast, at a great location. The stained glass windows do not keep out the street noise, however. And the free WiFi does not work in the room. You have to go to the lounge by the reception desk to use the WiFi.

Quaint old fashioned hotel

This is a lovely lttle hotel near to all the main tourist attractions in Brno. Close to several restauants and bars and a short walk to the castle. We had a lovely 3 night break here and would recommend this hotel.

We booked a deluxe room expecting it to be similar to the rooms shown on thier website. Bit disappointed to find we had a room in the roofspace which only had dormer windows - no view except for the roofs of other buildings! The ceiling sloped over the beds which meant you had to be very careful not to knock yourself out getting out of bed! We are quite short which was not too bad, but for taller people, it would have been very uncomfortable indeed. Huge wooden roof supports too which had to be dodged getting to the bathroom. Good size room despite the lack of proper windows with a very large bathroom. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The Wifi was excellent which makes a nice change! The decor was very plain - this was a disappointment after having seen the rooms they show online and considering we paid for an upgraded room.

Breakfast was OK - avoid the scrambled eggs unless you are fond of over-salted food! Home-made yoghurt was really nice and reasonable selection of fresh fruit considering it's October! Good choice of breads. There were sausages and bacon available too.

Tip - avoid 4th floor as there are just 2 rooms there both with dormer windows. Not quite sure how these can be called deluxe!!

Comfortable and charming hotel that is close to main attractions in Brno and also walking distance to several restaurants and shopping. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The only problematic staff was the one who checked us in. We had initially called trying to locate the hotel and parking but unfortunately, the woman at the reception desk was rude and said she couldn't understand English and hung up the phone. Other than that, everything else went smoothly and we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

The Royal Ricc is a charming hotel well placed in the city centre. We asked for a quiet room but our window looked over a bar at the back which had a live band. I complained about this in the morning and was told that there were in fact no quiet rooms!

Unique Hotel and excellent value in prime location

This hotel was pleasantly more than we expected and certainly well worth the price that we paid. From the initial check-in where the bell man took our car to the parking deck and then came back and, upon our request, personally escorted us to an ATM machine close by.
The rooms we rented had the most magnificent period décor and sculptured wood paneling as well as carved wood ceiling panels. The room was very functional and cozy. The room air conditioning worked superbly.
The breakfast buffet was good and all of the staff were more than friendly.
Directly across the street from the hotel is a series of outside cafes. We enjoyed many of the local beers and good meals for a fraction of what this would have cost in the USA.
We will return to Brno again - and definitely stay in this magnificent hotel.

Charming Hotel in City Center

The hotel is located in the pedestrian area of the city center. We were able to drive our car up to the hotel the night we arrived (and had to move the car to a nearby parking garage - surcharge - after unloading our luggage.) The next day, we weren't able to drive our car to the entrance, because the small street was blocked for pedestrians. There are lots of shops, restaurants, and a mall within walking distance. The room was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. My husband said it was the most comfortable bed of our multi-city European tour. There was a door that opened to a shared patio. The A/C worked great and there was a decent-sized television. We enjoyed the breakfast, which had lots of options and friendly staff.

Romantic and luxurious Getaway

Hotel location is in walking distance to all historic sites. It's an older hotel but renovated to perfection to give the feeling of old history, living in a palace. A must stay.
